Summary
What would happen if, instead of Maeglin falling to his death in Gondolin, an eagle stepped in and rescued him? What would happen if Maeglin was given a chance to redeem himself and right his wrongs?
This story is an AU and is based on the idea that Maeglin was forced to betray Gondolin and try to kill Earendil because he was utterly bewitched by Melkor during his captivity. Therefore when his enchantment is lifted, he is more able to fulfil his destiny and make good on his mistakes.

Summary
Losgar. Feanor and his people have landed and start to prepare for their onward journey, but they are all still reeling from the impact of the Doom and the events at Alqualonde. Maedhros is angry with the Valar but his brother Amrod is starting to have second thoughts. Feanor is wary of letting his half brothers come and usurp his situation in Middle-Earth and starts to make plans to stop them travelling onward with them....

A young eagle has been missing for some time, much to the worry of her people. They have finally found her location; she has been imprisoned in the pits of Angband. Melkor is planning something nefarious with the Eagle and time is running out….
In Aman, the wife of Curufin has discovered some very worrying tidings – Melkor has become aware of the impending Union and plans treachery. With the help of her sisters-in-law, the wife of Caranthir and the wife of Maglor, they set out over the wastes of Helcaraxë to break into Angband, release the captive Eagle and find an army within the dungeons that could change the tragic fate of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad....
