Chapter Text
Insatiable.
The word that replays again and again in Est's head, the only word that he can come up with as he puts all his strength into remaining silent as his insides are gouged out by the cock of the young prince. So deep inside, a valiant effort to claim what he can't have.
Though, Est supposes it is his own fault for indulging in the young prince.
Prince Jakrapatr Kaewpanpong, or William, as his prince insists to be called whenever he's managed to corner Est, has been nothing but persistent. When they were younger it was much easier to brush aside the young prince's advances, Est often scolding him and telling William that Est was much too old for the prince to be infatuated with. William would then argue that four years wasn't too large of a gap.
As they grew, even Est felt like William's sentiment became more true and that he held less power when it came to declining William's advances. So he used the next best thing, that William was a prince and Est was simply an advisor, not even William's advisor at that. William was meant to be with royalty, not a commoner fortunate enough to be granted the opportunity of joining the king's court.
"But if I worship you as a prince, then what difference does it make whose blood you come from," William had sweet talked, pressing a soft kiss to the shell of Est's ear. Foolishly enough, Est had let those simple words be the destruction of his carefully constructed walls.
It's what has lead to their current predicament, William inserting himself between Est's legs as if that's his rightful place, rolling his hips to seat himself as deeply as possible within the advisor, with little regard to their environment. Est has never been quite sure if William acts as he does because he is the prince, unworried of consequences, or if he just becomes so engrossed in Est that he simply does not care.
This is not the time for William to decide he wants to fuck, but Est allowed him in anyway. As if they do not have a soiree to prepare for, suitors for the youngest prince soon to show. Est foolishly thought that with the soiree looming over their heads, sole intention to find the prince a spouse, it would somehow end William's infatuation for him.
On the contrary, it made the prince worse.
William has grown less careful, more daring, as if he wants to be caught. Maybe as slight protest to his parents or the crown for them not listening when he said he did not wish to find a suitor. Est is groped less subtly these days, William less willing to hide as he begs the advisor for a kiss.
Est became crafty in avoiding the prince, realizing that it would be solely on him to create that distance. But, it is William he is dealing with, and for every two steps Est thinks he's ahead, William is always three steps ahead of that. William no longer follows Est around, instead choosing to wait in a room that he knows Est will inevitably have to visit.
Est is trapped against his own desk as William leisurely fucks into him as if he isn't supposed to be meeting suitors in less than an hour. Like Est isn't supposed to be out there as well, no rush as he takes Est apart for, what is hopefully, one last time.
Though the door locks, and William had been sure to do so before pulling Est's bottoms down, any other advisor and the head guards all have a key to the room. Surely it is only a matter of time before they come searching for the prince, if they haven't already began to look for him already.
"Your Highness," Est manages, proud at how steady his voice is. "Wait."
His efforts are for naught, William silencing him with a kiss. "You know I do not like it when you call me that."
"Prince Jakrapatr-" this time Est is interrupted by a nibble to his collarbone, just low enough to hide if it marks but still dangerously close to where the collar of his shirt normally falls.
"Try again."
"William," Est cries out, desperate to be listened to. Despite Est's constant attempts of maintaining a professional relationship between prince and advisor, William manages to disassemble every effort Est puts forth. "The soiree, you have to get ready."
"Hmm," William hums, "why does it feel like you're trying to rid yourself of me? Do you think some silly party is ever going to be enough to keep my eyes from you, Est?"
No. That's the worst part, because for as much as Est wishes that this will allow their sexual relationship to naturally dissolve, he knows deep down William would not let him go so easily. Even as they had reviewed the attendees with William's family, everyone offering suggestions on who William may like, he brushes them all off.
"You must meet your future spouse," Est tries.
"Oh? But I have already met my future husband. As a matter of fact, I am balls deep in him at the moment," William grins mischievously. The twinkle in William's eye is the only warning Est has before William is reaching down to grab both of his legs, throwing them over his shoulders before he pulls Est even deeper on his cock. "Or do you want me to find someone else to fuck like this?"
The problem with William giving his utmost effort in wooing Est is that it means he's learned to fuck Est exactly as he likes. William has spent months studying every inch of Est's body and how to work him apart until he forgets that he's to be a royal advisor who is meant to fade in the background when not in the direct presence of Their Majesties.
"You should-"
"I didn't ask what I should do," William pulls Est's cock into his head, thumbing at the wet head with slow, heavy strokes to match the timing in which he fucks Est. "I asked if that is what you want."
"What I want doesn't matter," Est chokes out, stomach trembling as heat builds.
William shakes his head. "I already told you, Est. Everything about what you want matters to me. It is my sole duty to make your wishes come true."
If Est wasn't so close to coming undone he'd laugh at the absurdity of it all, a prince saying that he is bound by duty to please a commoner.
"Will you be happy if I marry another, Est? Will you be happy to no longer have moments like this, where you wrap around me so sweetly as I revere you? Do you wish to see me prance about the palace with another, pretending to love them as I love you?"
It's a dirty trick, William professing his love for Est. It is far from the first time that he's done so, the first time being when they were still children. Yet the more they grow, the more William declares it, whether is be when he's molding Est's insides to the shape of his cock, or between sweet kisses hidden the the corridors of the palace.
"William," Est sobs.
"Est," William replies, grin never leaving his face as Est seizes around his cock, legs shaking where they're held over William's shoulders. "Prince Consort Est Supha Kaewpanpong, doesn't that have a lovely sound to it? Just as beautiful as the noises you make when you come, my dear."
When William comes, he buries himself deep as if to mark Est as his on the inside, sealing it with a sweet kiss on the lips.
Their afterglow crashes down at the sound of the doorknob being tried. There's a knock, a faint "Who is in there? Prince Jakrapatr? Khun Est?" from the other side to bring them back to reality.
Est's eyes widen, hands coming up to push against William's chest to signal for him to get off. William pouts, but he both gets off and pulls out of Est.
"What a waste, we'll have to find a way to keep that inside."
William hardly flinches when Est slaps his arm harshly.
"Get dressed, Your Highness," Est has no time to clean up the mess between his thighs or on his stomach, pulling his bottoms up and shirt down to hide evidence of what they've done. He lights an incense as William, looking much more put together than Est feels, opens a window.
Est smooths his hair over and uses the sleeve of his shirt to pat the sweat from his brow and neck before he's pulling the door open. There's nobody on the other side, much to Est's relief. He shoos William from the room, hoping to create distance between them before anyone were to return to ease any possible suspicion.
He busies himself organizing the mess that William has made of his desk when he hears hurried footsteps just outside the door to the office, turning just in time to see a servant and guard come into sight.
"I swear, the door was locked," the servant explains to the guard, who holds a ring of keys in her hand.
"It was," Est looks to the servant. "Confidentiality is of upmost importance when we have guests in the palace. They are to arrive shortly and I locked the door as a precautionary measure. You were gone by the time I opened it."
"Sorry to waste your time," the servant bows to the guard who shrugs before walking away. "I'm sorry to disturb you, Khun Est, but we have been searching high and low for His Highness Prince Jakrapatr. Do you have any clue as to where he may be?"
Est shakes his head, "Getting ready for the soiree, I would assume. Have you checked his quarters?"
"Multiple times," the servant, Park, answers. "As well as the stables, the ballroom, and His Highness Prince Naravit's room."
"Mmm," Est hums, "and you thought he would possibly be here because?"
Park stutters, "Well, Khun Est, it is, ah, well know that His Highness can be found with you often times when he has disappeared. It was suggested that I check here."
"Alas, he is not here. Did you ensure the Prince hasn't run off into the forest? It wouldn't be the first time, would it?" Est asks. "Maybe check under the bed? Quite juvenile but something he would do to get a rise out of everyone."
Park continues to stammer as Est gently guides him from the office, making sure to lock the door behind him. He's not too concerned about the incense that he'd lit, knowing that it'll burn out on its own without causing any damage. Though perhaps a fire would be the much desired distraction that William wants for a night such as this.
"I must go get ready for the party myself, if I run into His Highness I'll be sure to send him your way."
"Word has it that His Highness was seen sneaking out of your office when he was meant to be getting ready," a sly voice whispers into Est's ears, thankfully waiting until the guests that Est had been entertaining are out of earshot.
"Is that so?" Est turns to look at Gemini with disinterest. "Tell me, is there validity to the words, or is it as most things are and just hearsay?"
"I have very reliable sources," Gemini answers.
"If you focused as much on the kitchen boy you're supposed to be charming as much as you did the palace gossip, perhaps you would not be stuck in his shadow like a helpless puppy," Est gives a pointed look to where said kitchen boy, Fourth, walks about the crowd with a tray of drinks in his hand. "More importantly, are you not supposed to be impressing our guests with your medical knowledge? There is a reason we're here, Khun Gemini. It isn't to mingle amongst ourselves."
The purpose for a few essential personnel walking freely amid nobility, such as Est and Gemini, is to prove the capabilities of the Kaewpanpong lineage so that they may feel more secure about marrying a member of their family off to William. Est has been making small talk with those who approach him, doing his best to uphold the expectation of a Kaewpanpong advisor.
Gemini, as the head physician, is to do the same. However, Est has watched him spend the majority of the soiree not so subtly following Fourth.
"You and I both know this is pointless, Est," Gemini lowers his voice to get closer. "Our young prince has eyes for no one but you. I think he has made at least three suitors cry already. He doesn't even speak to them when they dance unless spoken to. We all know he's only doing it because His Majesty demands he make an attempt."
Regrettably, Est has made the same observation as Gemini. Est has spent as much of the soiree as possible facing away from William. Every time he glances at his prince, his prince is always staring at him. If Est could depart from the soiree unnoticed, he would. Experience has proved that when it comes to Est, William sees everything. If Est leaves, it will not be long before William ends up missing from the soiree.
"Our young prince must learn to open his eyes to others," Est ignores the pang in his heart as he says it. "I am but an advisor to Prince Naravit, there are more influential and and appropriate individuals for the prince."
Gemini is a close friend, so their banter is nothing but friendly. It's why Est takes no offense to Gemini implicating a relationship between Est and William, because Gemini knows. He's been nothing but supportive of it, often mirroring William's own words about what is proper is not always what is right.
"Pardon me," their conversation falls silent at the arrival of a stranger. "Khun Est?"
Est and Gemini bow a greeting to the stranger before Gemini slinks off, likely to somehow find himself within Fourth's range of vision.
"Greetings," Est allows a pause to hang in the air.
"Duke Meen," the man supplies the answer to Est's unasked question. "I've been trying to make my way over to you all night, you are a very popular man, Khun Est. After a closer glance at your face, I see why."
Unsure how to respond to the words, Est chooses to ignore the latter part of Duke Meen's sentence. "It is an honor that I am regarded enough to warrant such attention. I have worked hard to become a competent advisor for the Kaewpanpong's. My efforts must be paying off. Pardon me for asking, Duke Meen, are you here as one of Prince Jakrapatr's suitors, or are you accompanying someone?"
"Both," Duke Meen says. "It is me as well as my sister, though I must admit that my interest in the prince dipped once I realized there was another beauty to be had."
"Have you or your sister already have your dance with His Highness?" Est keeps his expression pleasant though it's taking everything in him to not roll his eyes.
"Yes, though it appears during my dance with the prince that both of our interest lay elsewhere," Duke Meen smiles. "I simply danced with him to extend my gratitude for the invitation. Truth be told, I am rather relieved that Prince Jakrapatr took no real notice of me. If so it may have been him occupying my time instead of you."
Est's eyebrow twitches, but he schools it back into place. The duke is laying it on so thick that one would have to be blind and deaf to not pick up on the signs he's leaving. "How did your sister's dance go?"
"She appears rather dejected," Meen turns to, what Est assumes, look at his sister. "So I suppose it went no better than my own. Her heart was more in it than mine."
"A shame, then."
Meen nods before he turns his full attention back to Est. "You have lived here since you were a child, I heard."
Not necessarily a secret, Est doesn't think the question is odd. He's had one or two people already ask him this night how long he has lived in the palace walls and served the Kaewpanpong's. "Yes," Est confirms, "since I was ten. It is thanks to the grace of His Majesty that I was able to begin to train for my role of advisor shortly after."
His Majesty thought there to be value in Prince Naravit's advisor being someone similar in age, who he could grow close to and trust. Est and Naravit had a good enough, though formal, rapport at a young age that His Majesty decided to appoint Est as Naravit's advisor.
"So you have grown mostly knowing these walls," Meen says. "Do you get out much? The world is beautiful, though it pales in comparison to you."
"I travel often when it comes to my duties," Est must come up with a natural way to end the conversation without potentially offending the duke. "I accompany Prince Naravit during his voyages."
"Being an advisor to the Kaewpanpong's must weigh heavy," Meen starts. "Do you ever feel the need to escape?"
"Hardly," Est deadpans. "I am treated quite well."
Meen studies Est for a moment before his face breaks out into a smile, much to Est's annoyance. Either he expected this from Est and came ready, or Est's responses entertain the duke that much. "Do you know how to dance?"
Seeing where this is leading, Est reluctantly answers, "Yes."
Then, as if answering his silent prayers for help, an arm comes to interlock with Est's. With the height of Meen's hands as he enters into a bow, Est already knows who has come to his rescue.
"Duke Meen," Phuwin nods, "if you don't mind I must borrow Khun Est. My husband is, evidently, in desperate need of advisory."
Because one does not object to Prince Consort Phuwin Kaewpanpong, Meen voices no objections as Est is lead away.
"That was rather painful to watch," Phuwin mutters once they're a safe distance away from Meen. "Pond thought he would leave you alone once you showed your disinterest, but I know that look in the Duke's eyes anywhere. We were trying to devise a less obvious plan to save you, but I could not find Santa or Perth to call on."
"I could handle it," Est asserts.
"I didn't say you couldn't," Phuwin soothes. "Rather, we were more worried about the young prince causing a scene. I swear, he never once took his eyes off you while you were conversing with Duke Meen. I had to save you to prevent William from causing a national incident."
Yet another natural consequence of William's conspicuous yearning, when paired with the prince's closeness with his older brother, is that Phuwin and Prince Naravit, Pond, take great pleasure in teasing William and Est about their relationship.
Which Est says there isn't one.
He does not think he's much believed.
"Gods, he does not know to be secretive does he?" Est feels his eye twitch.
Phuwin looks at Est with unconcealed amusement. "When it comes to you, Est? He would gladly declare his love for you in that entire room if he didn't think it'd embarrass you. To be fair, Pond, William, and I all told Their Majesties that this was pointless, while doing our best to keep you from being directly involved in the discussion. Clearly we were not successful in our attempts, so William is doing his own private protest."
"By running off all his suitors?"
"By doing whatever it takes to show he is indifferent and unenthusiastic with the event," Phuwin corrects. "If some of them have run off crying, then so be it."
They come to a halt in front of Pond, who looks to Est with an amused smirk. "My trusty advisor, just who I was seeking for some… advice."
"Of course, Your Highness," Est allows sarcasm to coat his tongue. "What do I have the pleasure of advising you about?"
"You see," Pond does a small sweeping motion of his hand, "my parents invested a good amount of resources in this event, and it is clearly a waste. Tell me, how to I avoid wasting such money in the future?"
"Do you need Est to answer this?" Phuwin teases. "The solution is obvious: listen to your child. Darling, you put forth a valiant effort, but this just prepares you to know you won't always get your way."
Est nods in agreement. "In times like these, though it may not be to our liking, it is always important to maintain a high level of diplomacy. Events such as these are rarely a waste, and depending on how conversations go you may find yourself a powerful ally, or a new enemy."
"Gods, Est," Pond laughs, "can you turn it off for one day?"
"This is not the environment for me to 'turn it off'," Est counters. "Otherwise, I would have done so when dealing with Duke Pain-In-The-Ass, Your Highness."
Pond laughs and clasps Est on the shoulder. "Ah, there is the Est I have grown to know," Pond's face turns serious. "Would you like for me to have the Duke and his sister escorted off the property?"
"Duke Meen is not worth the extra attention," Est says. "He can not monopolize my time, and one would think he would eventually grow tired of my lack of swooning over his quite pitiful attempts of flirtation."
"I don't know, Est," Phuwin coughs, "I think Meen was quite enjoying your coldness. Perhaps he's a man who likes a challenge."
"Regardless of it the Duke likes a challenge or not, it is only one night," Est looks between Pond and Phuwin. "I have been thoroughly trained in how to manage unsavory encounters, let's just consider this exercising my skills."
As Est excuses himself to mingle with the crowd once more, he hears Pond say, "Perhaps we should focus our efforts on talking my brother off the cliff."
Conversation flows smoothly after that, Est moving freely between discussions to add his input, if required. He answers questions to the best of his ability and makes sure to reinforce the strength of the Kaewpanpong legacy. The Ladies, Lords, Duchesses, and Dukes that Est speaks too offer a much more pleasant experience than his time with Meen.
For a breather, Est ends up huddled in a corner with a few familiar faces from the palace. While the weight of expectation still sits heavy on his shoulders, Est is able to relax slightly around those he has no need to impress. He sips from a glass of wine, handed to him by Fourth who insisted he needed to loosen up, as he listens to his friends.
"Even if the night proves to be pointless, it is nice to be able to dress up a bit," Lego, one of the palace tailors, says. "Kim and I had a lot of fun designing the outfits."
"Says you," Hong complains. "We have been in the kitchen cooking nonstop since yesterday night. I baked so many treats that in my short nap, I was being chased by cakes."
"And yet you still had time to sneak some treats to guard Nut," Lego muses. "Doesn't sound like you were too overworked."
"He needed a pick me up," Hong defends himself. "I felt a bit of pity for him, he said he'd been listening to Prince Jakrapatr complain and mope about all night."
Fourth snorts, "Is that what you call sucking face in the pantry?"
Hong's mouth drops, face coloring red as he sputters excuses during their teasing. "At least I am bold enough to kiss him where eyes can see," Hong's eyes turn to Gemini who suspiciously falls quiet. "As if we haven't placed bets on when this one will man up and ask Fourth, who he follows like a shadow, if he can court him. Coming to the kitchen and asking for various herbs and saying they're for your medicines does not count."
Est holds back a laugh at Gemini's frozen expression.
"Don't worry," Fourth pats Gemini's arm, "I am also in the betting pool. So far, I haven't lost."
This time there is no holding back their laughter as Gemini covers his face, muttering something about trying to have some class and decorum.
"Maybe I should review my literature and conduct a lesson for the young lords and ladies about proper courting techniques," Tui, the palace scholar, fans the fire. "I'll be sure to include you when I have the lesson."
The laughing comes to a slow stop, everyone around Est standing a little straighter. Before Est can turn to see who has brought a pause to the conversation, he feels a hand on the small of his back.
"Khun Est." Duke Meen is more of a nuisance than Est anticipated. Still, Est sticks a smile on his face to turn to look at the Duke. "I have noticed that you have yet to dance tonight, would you mind to join me?"
Est absolutely minds. He suddenly wishes his ankle twists, even that he develops a limp so that he does not have to dance with this man. The Duke either is oblivious to the way Est has tensed under his touch, or he simply does not care.
Just as he's about to do the proper thing, and accept a quick dance, a much more familiar and welcome hand wraps around Est's waist, pulling him smoothly from Duke Meen's grip. Even if Est did not see the knowing looks from his friends, just the warmth behind the hand and the intimacy in the tug is enough for Est to know it's William.
"Prince Jakrapatr," Duke Meen bows.
William stares at the Duke blankly, though Est supposes that isn't the worst thing.
"Khun Est," instead of giving the man a response, William turns his eyes to Est. Now, his face softens and a smile graces his features. "Would you honor me in a dance?"
Est's mouth opens, his eyebrows bunching together as his brain processes the question. "Your Highness, I am flattered. But, is there no one else for you to dance with?"
"I have danced with everyone that I was required to," William states. "Now, I believe it is time for me to dance with the one that I want to."
Seeing that Est is too stunned to answer, William takes his hand to lead him to the dance floor and, most importantly, away from Duke Meen. The crowd, naturally, parts for the prince. Est stares at William if only to avoid the curious gaze of the onlookers who watch their every movement.
William secures his left hand on Est's waist while keeping Est's left hand in his right. Though the music doesn't change just because William has brought Est to the dancefloor, the two find a steady rhythm.
"Everyone is looking, Your Highness," Est whispers.
"Let them, you deserve to be gazed upon," William replies.
"Their Majesties-"
"Were told this event was hosted in vain," William hums. "They should consider themselves lucky that I took it upon myself to mind my manners and remain polite to those who, quite honestly, do not hold a candle to you. The night doesn't have to be entirely unproductive."
Est can feel his ears getting red. "I am but a commoner, this is highly-"
"Inappropriate?" William finishes. "Though what is it to us what they think is appropriate or not? Do you know how much I struggled to focus on these insignificant people when all I can do is keep my eyes on you, knowing you're still leaking from our earlier activities? Do you suppose that Duke Meen would be so keen for your attention if he knew you were still loose and open from my cock?"
Though William speaks too low for any of the nosy passerby to hear, Est still squeezes his hand in warning.
William, naturally, ignores Est's signal to shut up.
"The only thing that kept me sane as I watched Meen's pathetic attempts of seduction, is the memory of you so warm around me earlier," William leans in to murmur in Est's ear. "But a man can only be tested so much, especially when someone touches what has always been mine."
William guides Est into a twirl.
"It has been a while since we last danced together," William says.
Thankful for the change to a more harmless topic, Est relaxes. "You've had plenty of practice."
"I had a great teacher," William corrects. "Do you not remember when we were young, me crushing your toes as I tried your patience? I think that was the first time I thought I loved you, when you refused to grow frustrated as my mistakes."
"One should have patience when it comes to His Highness," Est refutes.
"Hmm," William hums, "your patience was something sweeter. Even little me knew that. I swore to myself that I would do everything to protect you, even if it meant learning to not crush your toes."
Est breaks out into a soft smile, "I am nobody in need of protection, Your Highness."
William pouts at the formal title, but he does not push for Est to drop it. "Respectfully, I disagree. If first Phuwin, then I, hadn't liberated you from Meen's sleazy intentions, you'd have grit your teeth and smiled through painful conversation and a dance. Protection comes in many forms, Est. I've been taught all things precious need security."
"Is that not what we have guards for?"
Est inhales sharply as William pulls him close so they're touching chest to chest. William leans in so close their noses nearly brush, the only prevention being Est minutely drawing his head back.
"For you? It's what I am for," William asserts.
Their dance comes to an end with a firm cough clearly aimed at the two. William turns to glare at Pond who simply smiles.
"If you do not mind, I wish to dance with my friend," Pond doesn't ask, simply waiting for William to reluctantly step back so that Pond can step between him and Est. "Mother and Father wish to speak with you, don't worry, I'll keep an eye on Khun Est."
Est watches William sulk off. "He isn't in too much trouble, is he?"
"He is the baby, Est. They can't stay mad at him," Pond assures him with a laugh. His grip on Est is much less unyielding, the dance feeling more casual though it is a mirror of what Est and William just did. "I must confess, I was sent over here as a form of damage control. They do not wish rumors to run rampant as to why William danced with you."
"I tried to turn him down," Est says.
Pond nods, "I know. William needed a healthy outlet for his frustration. Phuwin overheard him conspiring with Nut about the least messy way that Meen could be disposed of. Thank the gods Nut told him to just ask you to dance to remove you from Meen. Though it did create a different problem."
"That is?"
"William looks at you with such adoration and love, that even though I was sent over here to dance with you, it is no mystery who he has chosen," Pond reveals. "The devotion he has for you is unparalleled. If I didn't hurry to step in I fear he'd have dropped to one knee and propose and profess his love all in one."
Est sighs.
"You act as if you do not look at him the same way," Pond teases.
"It is not proper," Est says.
"Why not? You both love each other," Pond spins Est. "William is not even Crown Prince, who he marries is much less important than who I married. But we both have something in common, and that is we decided we would only marry who we love. I lucked out in the fact that Phuwin was in high enough nobility that my love for him held no room for discussion."
"I am not nobility," Est responds.
"Maybe not now," Pond agrees. "But, you will be. Once you marry him."
