Work Text:
I want to be a good person.
I chase my goal at a steady pace.
I chase my goal at a steady pace until my legs give out.
I want to be a good person.
Despite my tired legs I go on, not because I like the burn in my knees or the strain in my shins, but because no one can move me but myself.
I want to be a good person.
But I am a human being, and thus I am flawed.
I am flawed, yet I keep moving. Not because my flaws don't hurt others, but because despite my flaws, I am human and I deserve the same love as anyone else.
I want to be a good person.
I want to help people get back up.
I want to help people regain what they've lost.
An objective far too large for one girl as small as i feel:
I want to save others from the same cruelty that shaped me.
It doesn't matter how far I am beat down.
It doesn't matter what I have to face.
It doesn't matter what I have to learn.
It doesn't matter what I have to resort to.
I will get back up.
I may be scared.
I may be angry.
I may have no idea what to do.
But as long as I get back up we will be okay.
I want to be a good person, yet, I am flawed.
I want to be a good person, yet, I am flawed, but that's okay.
Because my flaws allow me to help others just as much as my strengths do.
