The Cinnamon Roll Knows All (including your address)

Summary:

Mina had a great idea to pass the time while waiting for the pizzas "Hey guys! I was thinking about the project of philosophy and I wondered, If all of us were to become villains, who would be the worst?"
[...]
"Defnetly Midoriya would be the worst, and those that don’t agree are blind."

It was that innocent question that started it all.

Or

How the class found out that Midoriya's hobby included knowing an absurd amount of information on every one, and how they took it.

Work Text:

It was a surprisingly boring Friday night in the dorm common room of class 2A. They had just finished the chapter on history of the great villains that Japan faced in recent years of history. Most students were looking forward to the next class in philosophy and sociology, it would be an open discussion project on villainous motivations.

The class was gathered waiting in the common room for the take out dinner. Even trying to be healthy there were some sheat days, especially to let the few classmates who could cook have a break.

(Cook breakfast and dinner to 20 people was a full time job for the kids. Asui, Sato, Bakugou, Midoriya rotated as the main chef with Uraraka, Ojiro, Koda, Sro, Tokaiami and Hagakure acting as cook assistants. The rest helped with simple, not culinary things like microwaving the frozen meat or separating the beans.

Todoroki, Iida, Momo, Ashido, Kaminari and surprisingly Jiro were absolutely banned from touching anything except the cabinets and tableware without close supervision. Who knows how they got so many kittens hazards in the same class. The many, many incidents that resulted in that rule shall not be named, but be known that ‘incident 23’ will forever hunt the minds of all the unlucky presents of the tragedy.)

Mina had a great idea to pass the time while waiting for the pizzas "Hey guys! I was thinking about the project of philosophy and I wondered, If all of us were to become villains, who would be the worst?"

“Ashido! You shouldn’t say things like that!” Iida exclaimed, but was expectedly ignored by the class, at this point Iida was already expecting that reaction, so didn’t finish the speech he had in his mind.

They started discussing it, throwing out names like Tokoyami and Bakugou. Shinso, who entered the class the same day that Mineta was booted from the hero course, glared threateningly at anyone who even looked in his direction, not that they were stuped and insensitive enough to mention his name and the word villain in the same sentence.

“IF WE WERE ALL VILAINS, I WOLD BE THE SCARIER FUCKER HERE” Bakugou plocaimed, not as offended as he wold be as if they were saying that he acted like a villain. If they all were, then he would be the best.

"I can’t disagree, you are super smart and can cause a lot of property damage with your quirk. Todoroki too, but with all your… Bakugoness It would be very loud and aggressive.” Kirishima… Complemented?

Tsuy placed one finger on her chin to think:

"I’m not really sure, all that power and standoff attitude Todoroki shows sometimes can be very intimidating. Kero”

“I say Bakugou would get caut fast” Kaminari said, already dodging the explosions of Bakugou.

“And I say, while you would get caught the fastest of all of us, I agree. Bakugou can be smart but he is extremely cocky.” Jiro snarked at Kaminari and Bakugou.

“Tried to fight All Might in our first year heads on.” Sero reminds everyone, especially Shinso, who heard the story more recently. They all nodded at once. Like they could forget that shitshow. Midoriya winced at the memory of being pancaked against many different superficies in only an hour.

Midoriya picked up a notebook and started writing and mumbling “I don’t think Kattchan would be any scarier as a villain, probably would be caught soon with an epic and destructive battle unless the hero…” His words became too low and slurred to hear, a bit of time passes before he makes sense again “The worst ones are those that hide, have leadership skills, a cause and motivations…”

"Defnetly Midoriya would be the worst, and those that don’t agree are blind." Shinso argued when he noticed no one was about to point fingers at him screaming ‘villain!’.

He was given strange looks.

“What do you mean?”

“You can’t be serious right? Deku is too nice.”

"Wait, are we talking about the same Midoriya?"

“No way man.”

“I guess he has a powerful and destructive quirk, but his personality just doesn't make the cut.”

Bakugou winced. “He wouldn’t be better than me.” Of course he starts like that. “But Eye Bags does have a point.”

Kirishima noticed something strange about his reaction and asked:

“Bro, what do you mean?”

“Have you losers heard his rants about quirk and their fucking weaknesses eaven one time? Or read his creepy stalker notebooks?"

Jiro shivered, she heard many things she wishes she didn’t, and in a young age she swore to take all of that to her grave. Only all these years of pratice kept her from admitting that Midoriya’s mumbling sometimes resembled a murders plan.

Midoriya defended himself. “You are so mean Kattchan, don’t call my notes ‘stalker notebooks’, I don’t stalk anyone.”

Shinso scoffed. “How about that one time you appeared in my room after I said that you could come by anytime?”

“You literally invited me!”

“I still don’t know how you got my number or found my room.”

“Research.”

“How many times I have to tell it is not an answer."

That event put the more resistant people thinking. It was not a secret by any means, Shinso complained to anyone and anything about it for a whole week. It was on the first break with family after he had moved into the dorms, Midoriya befriended him like a man on a mission and didn’t take no for an answer. Midoriya had danced along the line between annoying and outright invasively in an intense friendly way until Shinso had given in and accepted the friendship.

Kaminari raised an eyebrow, feeling suspicious. “Wait! If you know where Shinso lives, do you know where the rest of the class lives?”

“Oh my god! The cinnamon roll knows all!” Mina screamed only half joking

Uraraka raised in defence of her friend “Of course he doesn't, right Deku?”

A new kind of awkward silence was born at that moment, the class looked at each other trying to express their feelings, with open all kinds of misinterpretation most wordless body language generally leaves.

Half of them started to feel very insecure about their safety and privacy. The other half were genuinely worried about Midoriya and how and why he acquired a habit of getting the maximum amount of information he can from other people. The whole of them were afraid that ‘If he knows where I live, what else he knows?’. Some didn't want the answer of that question, some wanted to shake the full explanation out of the boy.

There was Todoroki too, who didn’t fit any of the requisite above and instead was planning to invite Midoriya to show up at his place whenever too, as long as Endeavor wasn’t home. Todoroki concluded that the strange looks were people planning to do the same.

“What a mad blanket of darkness.” Tokoyami resumed the feeling in the room very poetically.

“What the hell.” Ojiro whispered, rephrasing Tokoyami’s words.

“What they said” Shoji agreed.

There was a knock on the door, Todoroki went to answer before Iida could snap back to earth.

Yaomomo, Hagakure and Aoyama entered, each girl carrying five pizza boxes and one diet soda while Aoyama struggled to hold five different drinks, a soda, some juice and bottled tea.

“The food is here!” Yaomomo announced.

Hagakure looked at the shocked and traumatised expressions of most, she squinting her eyes at Bakugou and Shinso smirking, then pursed her lips at Midoriya hiding his red face on his hands and apologising for… something like making them uncomfortable? It was difficult to decipher with his fast shuttering and incomplete phrases.

She asked:

“Did we miss something?”

Mina looked at the sealing, almost, though not quite, regretfully. She didn't even remember how they got here. She thinks it was her question? Or maybe Shinso’s reply. It didn't matter anymore.

“Just a word shattering revelation. You would never guess what happened!"

“Chère amie, just spill the tea.” Aoyama trilled, sparkling from curiosity or just glitter.

And as expected, that day was the talking topic of 2A for the rest of the year. The students' space awareness class was full of the most dedicated students seen in years, but despite that, no one could catch the green spy if he didn't want to be found. The rumors were spread to the whole school, but nobody took it very seriously. The green sunshine of class A a stalker? What a joke! Only the teachers started to think again when Midoriya was suspiciously proficient at stealth training, it still didn’t go really far. He was just too nice for it.
