Chapter Text
The sun is shining brightly. A flock of Wingulls is flying in the sky above the cargo ship sailing to Kanto. "It has been five years since I departed Kanto for Tohogu. My parents are kind enough to share custody of me despite being divorced. I wonder how my mom is doing?" A girl with glasses is staring into the horizon.
She heard the sound of footsteps and turned around. "It is my first time to Kanto, Yoshika. I wonder if it is better than Kitakami." The girl with glasses smiles as she saw her yellow-haired friend.
Both of them leaned closer towards each other. "It is such a pretty day, isn't it? I would like to introduce you to my mother. We are dating now, Yui." They are about to kiss when they heard the sound of metal striking the ship. "What was that?" A person jumped into the cargo ship from below.
The straw hat in the head of the person was blown away by the wind. "Who are you?" The woman seems to be wearing yellow dress and high heels.
She gritted her teeth. "Just call me Domino. I will be seeing my friends again after I deal with you brats!" The woman sends out a Roserade.
Yoshika sends out a Pokemon resembling a bear. "I choose you, Dynabear. Use fire breath!" Roserade leaps out of the way as ordered by its trainer. It deals a little amount of damage when it used petal dance on the fire bear Pokemon. "Dynabear, please use flame wheel." The opposing Pokemon got knocked out and Domino sends it back into its Pokeball.
She gritted her teeth. "You may have win this match but not the whole battle. It isn't like I have run out of any other option." The criminal pulls out a gun. "Get ready to meet your ancestors, damn twerps." Before Domino can shoot someone with her gun, a Pokemon resembling a Donphan knocked her unconscious.
A lilac-haired woman approached those two kids. "I am Manu, a researcher from Kalos. Iron Treads is the name of my Pokemon." The woman heard her Rotom phone telling her about an incoming call from a certain someone. "Jacinthe, isn't it?" She smiled.
A lilac-haired girl and a green-haired lady could be seen on the screen of the Rotom phone. "How are you doing, mom?" The woman told her daughter she is fine and congratulated her child for getting a girlfriend. The girl at the other end of the call seems to be blushing. "I am just her good friend, mom! Isn't that right, Lebanne? By the way, when are you coming back?" She sighs and told her mother to stay safe after the older woman told her about staying in Kanto for around a month. The two friends noticed the woman ending the call around right minutes later. Manu turned towards the two kids.
She told them that they could stick around with her if they want to accompany her. "I'm coming to Kanto to investigate the ruins of local ancient civilizations. What are the reasons for both of you to come here?" Yoshika told Manu that she wants to meet her mother while Yui said she wants to stick around with her friend.
Manu asked Yoshika about the job of her mother. "My mother is a gym leader at Neon City." She asks the girl if her dad has a job. "My dad is now a fisherman at Tohogu. He has a divorce with my mom around a few years ago." She nods when she heard Yoshika's simple explanation about what her parents do.
The harbour of Kuchiba City could be seen. "I hope you all bring some jackets." Yui asked Manu about the reason why they need to wear jackets.
Manu said the Kanto region is now experiencing an oddly long period of winter. "What?!" The three turned to look at Domino who recently woke up. Handcuffs have restrained her from attacking anyone. "Hope Matori and the other two are fine." One of the three police officers near the criminal asked about those two she mentions. "They are Annie and Oakley if I remember correctly. We used to be in a group." The police officer nodded.
The people on the ship can feel the sudden drop in temperature. "What the heck?" White stuff began to fall from the sky. "The closer we are to land, the colder it is I guess." Manu told her new companions to follow her to the interior of the ship. She gave them some jackets.
The ship arrived in Kuchiba City at night. Manu rents a room at a villa for her and her companions to stay for a night. They sleep with jackets since the room is really cold without using any air conditioner.
