Work Text:
Gwen landed softly behind her, her ballet flats almost silencing the landing. Mj was sitting atop her and her father’s -Matt Murdock- rooftop, her legs swaying slightly in the wind. The sun was setting ahead, filling the area with a golden haze.
As Gwen sat beside Mj, she couldn’t help but stare. Her deep red hair was in braids and lying on her chest, shimmers of light beaming against the strands. The sun also caught light freckles dotted on her cheeks and her green eyes reflected the rays of light ahead. As Mj’s weight fell onto her, Gwen’s hands absently guided themselves across each braid, feeling how smooth the overall surface was.
“Wow, your hair is… amazing.” Gwen eventually said, her eyes coming up to meet Mj’s. Mj stared back intently before shifting towards Gwen and pushing her hood down. Her hands found Gwen’s hair, pushing through the locks of blonde and pink before finding the shaved area at the side. Her palm grazed over the patch, content to feel the fuzziness of the shaven hair.
“Your’s is even better, ghostie.” Mj giggled, her face lighting up. And Gwen thought she was in heaven now, Mj looked like an angel. Sun gazing upon her face, lighting it even more. Mj kept combing her hand through Gwen’s hair, finding every slight knot and bump, appreciating every piece. Her fond eyes traveled all over Gwen’s body, thankful for the minimal amount of injuries visible. However, this did not mean she wouldn’t take the chance to pamper her by taking care of every small wound, attending to it as it healed within minutes.
Mj abruptly stood up, pulling Gwen up by the waist with her. Without any protest, Gwen became a Koala around her girlfriend, arms and legs wrapping around the other’s torso as she guided them down into the Murdock apartment.
Once inside, Mj saw her dad sitting at the table, reading through some cases Foggy left before she went to sit on the roof. Matt didn’t even tilt his head, having already heard their conversation and for all Gwen knew read her mind, feeling all the adoration and attraction she has towards his daughter. She really hoped that wasn’t the case, though, because he would find some freaky thoughts about Mj’s whole entire being that she wanted to keep to herself.
“Hey dad, where’s mom and paps?” Mj asked. She counted herself lucky that she had such an amazing family. For, now she could use her senses much more efficiently than the average person due to her dad, fight as silent and gracefully as her mother does and she has a near perfect shot taught by her paps.
“Hello troubles. Elektra is patrolling and Dex is at the shooting rage, why?” Matt replies. He could hear the heart beat of Gwen resting against Mj’s back and could smell a tinge of blood coming from her.
“No reason, just wondering really.” She said as she placed a sleepy Gwen onto the loveseat, walking into the kitchen to grab the first-aid kit before walking over to Gwen once again. Matt hummed, focusing once again on his work whilst Mj patched up a small gash on her torso.
When she finished, she lifted Gwen and sat in the previously occupied loveseat, positioning Gwen comfortably on her lap as she carded her hands through the blond locks, admiring the pink edges that was the colour of the sunset sky above.

When Dex and Elektra arrived home, they came in to the sight of Matt slumped over the table, his head angled not towards the door but towards the two girls sleeping in the loveseat.
Given that Elektra was not the physical touch type -at least not gently-, Dex went over to Matt, pulling him up and wrapping an arm around his waist. One of Matt’s hands found Dex’s back whilst the other came to hold Elektra’s. He pulled her silently, once she was near enough Dex pulled one of his hands away and reached out towards Elektra.
They held each other for a moment before realising, all heads turning towards the curled up girls sleeping. Gwen was in the Mj’s lap, Gwen’s head on Mj’s chest and the Mj’s head on the Gwen’s head. Their breathing was peacefully light, their bodies nuzzled close, taking each other’s warmth.
All three of them admired the sight (well Matt admired as blind people do) of their baby girl finally seemingly relaxed.
‘Reminds me of me’ Dex thought
‘Mj deserves her and better’ Elektra thought
Matt silently pulled his two partners towards the bedroom, all three quietly changing before climbing into bed.
With the breathing of Dex to his right and Elektra of his left, and the quiet breathing of his daughter and her Gwen in the living room quieting the noise outside, Matt only thought of one thing:
‘Peace’
