You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me

Summary:

Minho had fallen hard.

One second, he was moving across the stage, microphone in hand, cheering on the members as they sang and making sure STAY were having a good time. The next, his foot was shooting forward and his entire body lurched sideways.

Silence blanketed the crowd, as if the oxygen had been smothered. Maybe it had been because Jisung couldn't breathe.

(Minho falls hard on stage, thankfully, Jisung is there to take care of him.)

Notes:

This idea came to me so randomly but it honestly turned out really well. I’m really pleased with it so I hope you enjoy!

Work Text:

Minho had fallen hard.

One second, he was moving across the stage, microphone in hand, cheering on the members as they sang and making sure STAY were having a good time. The next, his foot was shooting forward and his entire body lurched sideways. Minho tried to twist, to brace himself, to plant his hands on the ground, anything, but it was no use. His shoulder slammed into the hard stage floor. The air seemed to be sucked out of the stadium. Jisung's stomach lurched.

Silence blanketed the crowd, as if the oxygen had been smothered. Maybe it had been because Jisung couldn't breathe.

Chan had stopped and rushed to Minho's side, but Jisung…he couldn't move. He felt as if his feet were glued to the ground.

Minho lay sprawled beneath the harsh stage lights. Chan was whispering something in his ear, Changbin now also crouching next to him. Felix spoke to the crowd and Hyunjin moved to block the light from shining directly onto Minho. Changbin stood and motioned for Seungmin.

Jisung watched Seungmin ride over on the scooter and at last got his body to move. He could make out a nod from Minho as he approached and watched Chan help him stand.

Minho leaned heavily against Chan, his face pinched with pain that Jisung could see even through the stage lights now that Hyunjin had moved.

Minho straightened abruptly, as if remembering they were live on stage and he couldn't be hurt right now. He tried to roll his shoulder, but the movement stopped halfway. His jaw visibly tightened, but he forced a smile and lifted his microphone to the arena of STAY's. He gave them a thumbs up.

They erupted. Mostly relived shouts that he was okay.

Jisung unfortunately didn't share their feeling of relief.

Minho caught his eye for just a second. He seemed to say "I'm fine," but Jisung knew he wasn't really.

The way Minho was favoring one side, the stiffness in his movements, and the grimaces he would wipe away as soon as they appeared.

There was no time. The music had already picked back up and the members had returned to their positions.

Chan shot Minho one last concerned glance before wrapping his arms around Jeongin's shoulders and speaking to the crowd, assuring them that everything was alright.

It wasn't though. Jisung turned his head back to Minho, unsure of what to do, but Minho had already raised the mic back to his lips. He offered a smile to the crowd. "Let's keep going."

The stadium roared.

After the fall, Jisung noticed the concert seemed to be passing by in a blur. It wasn't good. He needed to be giving it his full attention. He needed to give STAY the best show. He just couldn't seem to slow his mind. Minho slamming into the stage kept replaying in his head and he couldn't seem to make it stop. The sound of it. Jisung shook a bit.

He looked at the members, all running back and forth across the stage, shouting the songs and cracking jokes in between. Jisung needed to give his all for these final tracks, he could do it. He shut off his thoughts and put his full attention into the stadium of people surrounding him.

Minho suddenly came over and stopped a few feet away, yelling and asking the crowd if they were ready. STAY were shouting right back, having the time of their lives. He turned and offered Jisung a small smile. Jisung looked at him wearily, hoping Minho could see the emotions he's fighting right now before gently returning the smile.

The final song eventually came to a close. All eight of them stood together and thanked STAY for this incredible night. "Thank you!" Chan shouts.

The members make their last rounds across the stage. Jisung watched Minho, his microphone lifted in the air and his free hand being used to wave at STAY in the crowd, smile still firmly intact.

They made their way to the final camera. Chan of course, flashed his abs, while Changbin posed cutely before flexing his biceps.

Jisung made a heart with his hands and motioned for Minho to join him. They grinned at the camera before exiting the stage.

The deafening sound of the stadium dulled into a distant rumble as they descended the stairs.

As soon as they reached the bottom, Minho's smile dropped. Chan was beside him immediately.

"Minho?"

"I'm fine, Hyung," Minho said quickly.

His voice was so soft now, without that microphone, without thousands of people watching.

Jisung's stomach twisted into a knot.

"I just want to go back to the hotel," said Minho.

"Of course," Chan replied as the rest of the members came into the small space.

They asked Minho if he was okay and he nodded.

Some concerned looking staff came in to let them know that the cars were ready whenever they were.

Chan nodded politely before saying "I think we're good to leave now."

Chan held Minho, who was leaning heavily on his shoulder. Jisung stepped towards them. "Let me hold him Channie hyung."

Chan nodded and Minho moved over so he could fall onto Jisung.

Jisung pressed his hand against Minho's waist, keeping him in place as they slowly moved towards the exit and their awaiting cars.

The ride was taking much longer than Jisung would like. He kept glancing over at Minho nervously. The older looked miserable. His body was unnaturally still, as if the smallest movement might make the pain worse.

The other members had taken a different car, much to Jisung's appreciation, he knew Minho wanted as few people around as possible, even if it was his members.

They really needed to get back to the hotel. Jisung could see on his face how uncomfortable Minho was, and he needed to look at his shoulder and leg.

"Jisungie." Minho's voice was barely a whisper.

Jisung turned immediately. "Yes, Hyung?" he answered, voice just as soft

For a moment, Minho said nothing, his hands shaking slightly in his lap. The same hands that had been waving at thousands of people just minutes ago.

"It hurts."

The words were so quiet, Jisung almost wished he hadn't heard them. A piece broke off inside him.

"Oh, Hyung…I know," he whispered, voice breaking slightly. "I know, Jagi."

He reached for Minho's hands and squeezed them gently.

"I tried not to," Minho whispered. "I tried not to think about it."

Jisung swallowed hard.

"I didn't want to ruin the concert."

"You didn't."

Minho's voice cracked. "I just want to be back at the hotel, Sungie. I can't do this."

"We'll be there soon, Jagiya."

Minho squeezed Jisung's hand, already entwined with his own.

"Hold on a little longer, Hyung," Jisung said.

Minho nodded.

They finally arrived at the high end hotel the group was staying at for the two days they had shows. Jisung thanked the driver graciously as he helped Minho out of the car.

Minho now put most of his weight onto Jisung, the older barely being able to hold himself up.

"The pain must be unbearable," Jisung thought.

They walked into the lobby and Jisung was grateful to remember that the hotel had an elevator. Minho wouldn't be able to make it up the stairs to their floor, not that Jisung wouldn't have carried him if necessary. They moved at a slow pace towards the elevator, Jisung making sure Minho was pressed tightly against him and in a stable position.

"We're nearly there, Hyung."

Minho made a small noise of confirmation. They reached the elevator and Jisung helped Minho inside. The doors closed and Jisung moved to press the buttons.

"Shit."

He had no clue what floor they were on. They'd taken the stairs when they'd first arrived and walked until Chan told them to stop.

"Do you know what floor we're on, Jagi?"

"Mmm…5th," Minho mumbled in response.

"Okay."

Jisung pressed the correct buttons and moved back against the wall so there was even more support for the injured man in his arms. He reached up to run his hand over Minho's hair. "I'm going to take care of you, Hyung."

"Okay, Sungie," was all Minho managed to say.

The elevator dinged, telling them that they'd arrived at their floor. The doors opened and Jisung, who was pretty much lifting Minho's full body weight, helped him out of the small space.

Thankfully, their room wasn't very far down the hall. Jisung and Minho actually had the closest room to the elevator, while the other members were divided into pairs slightly farther down.

Jisung fit the room key into the lock and twisted, letting the door spring open. "We're here, Hyung." He guided Minho over to the bed and sat him down gently. "Sit here."

"You don't need to—" Minho started to say as he tried to stand, but the words died in his throat as a visible wave of fresh pain crashed over him.

"Don't even think about it, Jagiya," Jisung said firmly, gently pressing Minho back onto the bed. "I don't know how badly you're hurt and I'm not going anywhere until I know you're alright. Just sit and let me help you."

Minho looked up at him with big eyes that held a million words and thoughts. Jisung looked right back, gaze burning.

It took a second, but eventually Minho said, "Okay, Jisungie, do your worst."

Jisung's tight heart loosened a bit at Minho's words. "Stay here," he instructed. "Don't move, I'll be right back."

Jisung returned in record time carrying the hotel's first aid kid, his own personal kit that he kept in his suitcase, and a change of clean, comfortable clothes for Minho.

He'd also taken off his stage clothes and had changed into sweats and a t-shirt.

"Sit back, Hyung."

Minho obliged, wincing slightly from the movement in his shoulder. Jisung sat down beside him on the bed.

"I need to take your shirt off, Jagi," Jisung said from where he sat beside the older.

"Mm…hot," Minho breathed out in reply.

"Hyung, I'm serious, this isn't the time."

"Ok, Sungie, I'm sorry."

Jisung breathed quickly. "I'm not sure there's a way to get it off without moving your shoulder a significant bit."

Minho's voice trembled slightly as he said, "I know, I've been thinking about that. It's going to hurt a lot, isn't it?"

"Yeah I think it will," Jisung replied. "I don't want to sugarcoat it, but I'll try to move it in a way that creates the least amount of pain possible."

Minho exhaled shakingly. "Okay."

Jisung placed a hand on Minho's arm gently, his other held the fabric of Minho's shirt. "I'm going to talk to you as I move okay? I need you to tell me if the pain gets bad."

Minho nodded his response.

"Okay," Jisung breathed. "Here we go."

He began to move Minho's arm upward as he tugged the sleeve of the shirt down. Minho hissed through clenched teeth. "Ok, Jagi," Jisung said. "Your elbow is in the sleeve now. Can you shift your body a bit so your shoulder is at a more downward angle?"

Minho nodded and moved his body.

"You're doing really well, Hyung. This is the hard part. You need to pull your arm through so it's resting at your side under the shirt. Can you do that?" Jisung asked softly.

Minho nodded once more before clenching his teeth and dragging his arm down through the shirt, his shoulder feeling like it was covered in flames.

Then it stopped. His arm was now sitting straight down by his side, pain temporarily extinguished.

Jisung let go of a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Good, Jagi, now let me pull it over your head and other arm.

Jisung removed the shirt with quick precision. What he saw underneath made his stomach drop.

A massive purple, yellowish bruise covered Minho's entire shoulder and a portion of his chest and back.

"Holy fuck," Jisung breathed. Minho looked down and whistled.

"Wow, I really did a number on myself didn't I?"

Jisung looked at him. "Don't say that, Hyung, we haven't even seen your leg yet."

Minho laughed softly.

"Okay," Jisung breathed. "Don't move, I'm going to get a cloth with warm water."

He returned a minute later and placed the warm cloth on Minho's bruised shoulder.

"How long does this have to stay here?" Minho asked, referring to the cloth.

"Ten minutes,"Jisung replied. "And then I need to find some way to wrap that thing to stabilize it."

They sat in silence for a few seconds before Jisung said, "What even happened? All I saw was your foot fly out from under you."

"I'm pretty sure it was spilled water," Minho replied. "Whether it was from the fans or us, I have no clue."

"We need to be extra careful," Jisung whispered. "I was so scared, Jagiya, I didn't know what happened, it felt as if I was frozen in place and didn't know how to control my own body.

Minho grabbed Jisung's hand. "I'm sorry I scared you, Sungie, but I promise I'm okay."

Jisung squeezed his own hand right back around Minho's. "You swear it?"

"Swear it." Minho replied.

"Thank you, Hyung. Now, I need to look at your leg too."

Minho whispered. "Does that mean my pants get to be taken off by you as well?"

Jisung smacked him lightly. "Shut up," he said, before adding in a quieter tone. "But yes, that is what it means."

Minho grinned. Jisung put his hands over his face. "Just—Just keep the cloth on your shoulder."

Jisung moved down to Minho's belt buckle. "You sure this is okay?

Minho nodded.

"I need a verbal answer, Hyung."

Minho sighed. "Yes, Sungie, I give you permission to take my pants off."

Jisung looked at him with something burning behind his eyes before simply saying. "Good, thank you."

He undid Minho's belt buckle and slowly pulled the pants down, instructing Minho to lift his hips when necessary. Jisung's face grew hotter, and his body more aware with each inch of bare leg he uncovered. When he finally tugged the pants over Minho's feet, he stood back to examine the equally scary purple bruise on his leg, snaking its way up to his hip, that section only covered by his boxers.

He then became too aware of how Minho was currently splayed out on his bed in nothing but underwear.

"Like what you see, Sung?"

Jisung gave a little nod, swallowing hard. "Your leg doesn't look quite as bad as your shoulder, so it should be alright."

"Mm…" Minho replied.

Jisung breathed heavily. "I'll just check the first aid kit to see what we have to stabilize your arm."

He bent to the floor and picked up the fancy hotel kit, knowing there must be something useful in there. "Fuck," he exhaled.

"What?" Minho asked.

"This is pretty much empty. There's barely anything in here."

"Check your own kit, Sung, maybe you've got something in there."

Jisung nodded and reached for his own, small first aid kit. He rummaged through it before pulling out a triangular piece of fabric. "This will have to do," he said.

Minho nodded in response. "Do you know how to tie a sling?"

Jisung huffed. "Of course I do." He climbed back on the bed to sit at Minho's side and lined up the fabric around his shoulder. "Fuck I can't reach all the way down."

He moved without thinking, one knee coming up over Minho's hips to settle himself more securely, straddling him so he could reach the full way around his shoulder and back.

Jisung would've been lying if being on top of Minho when the older was in nothing but his underwear wasn't distracting. He shook the thoughts from his head. "Focus on the task."

He wrapped the sling around Minho's body, securing it in the back. When he finished, he breathed, "Okay, done."

Jisung didn't move. He became increasingly more aware of his and Minho's current position.

Minho looked up at him. "Sungie?"

Jisung's breaths were becoming more and more uneven as he continued to look down at Minho.

"Sung, are you okay?" Minho said in a concerned voice, his unwrapped hand coming to sit at Jisung's waist.

Jisung looked at him, paused, and said, "You're- you're so beautiful, Hyung."

Minho stilled. He stared up at Jisung, lips parted slightly in surprise. Jisung flushed and turned away, but the older grabbed Jisung's wrist and tugged him down, his face just inches away, their chests now flush against each other. Minho whispered into Jisung's ear, "You get awfully honest when you're nervous, Jisungie."

Minho leaned up slightly, using his free hand to brace himself, and pressed a small kiss to Jisung's neck. The younger let out a soft groan.

"Can I?" Minho asks.

Jisung nodded swiftly.

Minho's tongue returned to Jisung's neck, pressing kisses along his jaw, licking and biting the sensitive skin.

Jisung moaned softly before jerking back and covering his mouth.

Minho laughs. "It's okay, Sungie," he said before his voice dipped to a soft whisper. "I like hearing you."

Jisung whimpered. He became a whole different person like this with Minho. "We shouldn't be doing this, Jagi, not when you're hurt this badly."

Minho gazed into his eyes. "I know my limits, Sung, and this isn't it."

"You have to promise me you won't do anything that hurts you. Knowing I was the cause would kill me."

"I promise, Jagi," said the older. "I want you to trust me."

"I do," Jisung said. "I do trust you."

Jisung leaned back down and sealed his lips with Minho's. The older's mouth parted instantly, letting the younger's tongue explore. They both moaned softly against each other, letting the heat of the moment guide them.

Jisung rocked his hips, slowly, unsure how it would feel with Minho's injured leg, but Minho arched into him. "More, Sungie."

Jisung let go of Minho, who pouted at the loss but clenched his teeth again when Jisung started kissing his way down his torso.

"Fuck, Jisungie. You're so good at that." Minho's groans filled the quiet hotel room. Jisung left kisses all over his body, each one feeling like an apology for what happened.

He eventually reached the band of Minho's boxers. The older's cock pressing painfully against the fabric. Jisung looked up in silent question. Minho nodded. The younger carefully pulled the clothing down, exposing the last of Minho's body and the rest of the purple bruise.

Jisung carefully pressed soft kisses to the bruise on Minho's hip. Stopping occasionally to ensure it wasn't hurting. Minho nodded every time Jisung looked up, his breathing coming fast and heavy.

Jisung kissed his way to the inside of Minho's thighs and he groaned from the sensitivity. Minho laced his free hand in Jisung's hair and pulled lightly, making him come back to look at him. "Jisungie, please," he said. "I need you."

Jisung leaned down to kiss him once more before bending his head and pressing a different, hesitant kiss to the tip of Minho's cock. The older's body arched off the bed. Jisung repeated the motion, kissing all over, licking his way up and down.

He kissed the tip once more before opening his mouth and taking Minho inside. The older moaned loudly and looked down at Jisung. The sight of his mouth wrapped around his cock was nearly enough to make him come.

Minho's fingers curled in the bed sheets as Jisung flattened his tongue on the underside of his cock and stroked upward. "So good," he breathed. "Jisungie, you're being so—ah."

Jisung moaned in appreciation and the vibrations had Minho seeing stars. The younger moved eagerly, chasing Minho's pleasure, sucking him hard as he bobbed up and down. Minho was shrouded in oversensitivity and it didn't take long before he was shooting down Jisung's throat. The younger swallowed every drop greedily before pulling off.

Minho pulled Jisung back up on top of him. "You're so good for me Jagi," he whispered softly, coming down from his high. "Now let me take care of you." He started pointedly at Jisung's hard cock, pressing roughly against his sweatpants.

Jisung shook his head. Minho stared at him.

"Not tonight, Hyung. You're in no position to fuck me right now."

"I'm fine, Sung," Minho argued.

Jisung shook his head again. "No, Hyung. I mean it. I'm okay, I promise."

"That's not fair to you though," Minho said, a slight tinge of sadness in his voice.

"Hyung," Jisung said and grabbed his hand. "I swear it's alright. It can wait until you're feeling better."

"I feel bad leaving you like that, Jisungie," Minho said.

Jisung smirked. "Good thing we have plenty of time to make up for it right?"

Minho smiled softly and Jisung could see him change his mind. "Fine then," he said.

Jisung let go of his hand and said. "Stay right here. I'll go get another cloth to clean you up."

When Jisung was finished, Minho put on the pants the younger had brought him and crawled into bed beside him, wincing slightly at the still lingering pain in his shoulder. He turned onto his good side and faced Jisung.

"Thank you, Jisungie," Minho whispered. "I really needed you today, and I don't know what I would've done if you weren't there."

"The other members would have taken care of you," Jisung said in return.

"Not like you did," Minho replied. "I'm so grateful to have you in my life."

Jisung smiled and pressed a kiss onto Minho's head. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Hyung."
