Chapter Text
“The key to recovery is to rest, my friend.”
“I know, but-”
“But-” Haurchefant pushes Riida back down on the bed with just one hand. “You’ll catch your death if you keep denying yourself some reprieve.”
He’s right; Riida knows that. Ever since her arrival in Ishgard, she had no time to properly take in the sights of such a historic town on the basis of trying to stop a thousand-year war with the dragons. Hells, she hadn’t even remembered hearing her companion’s warning before charging off to Dravnia just in time for a bitter snap on top of the already cold weather to knock her down like a domino. While her arcanist robes provided layers, the materials were not thick enough to endure such harsh conditions. How she managed to run around the Highlands in these will forever be a mystery.
Still, if this is what gets Haurchefant to fuss over her, maybe it was kind of worth taking a breather.
Once her nostrils get cleared, of course.
