Spin the Bottle

Summary:

When students at school start growing suspicious of Danny's secret identity during senior year, he hatches a plan that he's confident will protect his secrets:
Step 1: Use the Ghost Catcher to split himself, but somehow stay sane on both sides
Step 2: Go to a party as Fenton and conveniently fly past as Phantom with as many witnesses to both as possible
Step 3: He hadn't actually thought about what to do after. Maybe Phantom can just join the party. It's only fair. It's not like ghosts can get drunk...right?

Work Text:

/////\\\\\

“I don’t know why you’re bothering to ask if he’s thought through this idea, Sam. Danny’s never fully thought through any plan his entire life.” Tucker’s voice crackled through the phone.

“That’s rich coming from you, Tuck.” Danny grumbled, thinking back to every time his best friend’s impulses got them into major trouble.

“I believe one of us is attending a pre-orientation social event for his first year at MIT and the other has a “totally genius plan” to protect his identity by splitting in half and getting black out drunk at a high school party.” Tucker snarked back with a teasing lilt. Before Danny could struggle to come up with a worthy retort, a sigh from Sam’s line gave him pause.

“That end bit is the part of the plan I’m the most worried about. There’s a reason you haven’t tried drinking yet, besides the legality. What if there’s an emergency and you’re too drunk to protect yourself? What if someone does something to you when they see how drunk you are? I just don’t think it’s safe. Especially because we won’t be there to help if you need it.” Sam reasoned with a truly worried tone.

“Guys, I’m not going to get black out drunk! I’m going to have a drink or two so that people who know about my duplication power realise there’s no way I could be using it when they see Phantom completely sober and Danny tipsy and unfocused.” Danny explained with what he hoped sounded like a confident tone. He wished his friends were in the room with him instead of speaking through the phone from states away.

“It’s okay in theory, but do you really think you can control the level of drinking if “fun” Danny pops out of the catcher?” Sam queries, her tone revealing how unfun she found that version of him.

It was a good point, even if he was reluctant to admit it. The last time Danny used the Ghost Catcher the halves he got turned into were deranged, oversimplified aspects of himself. However, he knew that at the time he was so mentally torn between his responsibilities and his craving for a fun break to relax that it obviously tainted how the split entities formed.

“I’m pretty confident I can control what personalities show up based on what I focus on at the time of the split. I’ll be able to be more myself in both halves because I’ll be more focused this time.”

“I just wi- have a preference that this plan would happen when I’m there and not attending a gala against my will.” Sam worded carefully. Tucker chuckled from his end of the line.

“You know your mom, she had to get one last party in before you’re old enough to not have to do what she says. Anyway I agree, Danny. Can’t this plan wait?”

“Sorry guys, it was a stroke of luck that I managed to convince Paulina as Phantom to invite everyone including me to this party. I’m not going to get this many witnesses in a scenario where there’s no chance I’d have to use my full brain again so easily.” There was silence on the call as both his friends seemed to consider what he said.

“I know we’re not going to talk you out of it, so just promise you’ll call one of us or Jazz if something goes wrong, yeah?” Sam eventually asked.

“Promise.”

“Why do I get the feeling Sam and I are gonna be like that Community meme where Troy walks in with the pizza and everything is on fire when we get back?”

Danny took a deep breath as he stood in front of the ghost catcher. As calmly and single-mindedly as he could, he focused on his goals; protect his secret identity from his suspicious peers, and don't lose control of who he is. Confident he doesn’t feel any divided feelings about either of those goals, he let out his breath and let his transformation roll over him, before floating his way through the glowing laser beams of the ghost catcher.

/////

The first thing Phantom does as he blinks into his new form of existence is reflexively reach down to snatch his human half out of the air, bringing him towards his chest securely to prevent him from falling to the floor.

“Whoa!” He hears the other yelp in surprise, hands immediately clinging to the arms around him. It was truly strange realising just how warm his human half felt at every point their bodies connected. It made sense, but it still captured his mind the way something unexpected would.

“What? Thought I’d let you fall to the ground?” Phantom chuckled as he gently lowered his other half onto the ground feet first. Human Danny nervously laughed, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand, eyes darting away before drawing back to Phantom.

“Yeah, kinda. Thank you. I better…uh…go get dressed for the party. See you later?” Human Danny awkwardly says before he shuffled off up the stairs toward his bedroom. Phantom rolls his eyes fondly, amused that his human half got so easily embarrassed talking to himself. At least it was very clear that he wasn’t “fun” Danny. Now that he was thinking about it, Phantom was also pretty confident that he was whole-minded enough to truly be himself and not “super” Danny. Out of reflex rather than need, he let out a sigh of relief. This plan of theirs might work after all.

Patrol had been going well enough. There had been only a small handful of low-level threats so far, so it would be easy to swing by Kwan’s house as per Paulina’s request before anyone at the party was too far gone to clearly remember seeing both Phantom and Danny at the same time. It may have been his impatience to enact the plan that prevented him from noticing someone following him in the shadows.

Phantom had made it onto the street where the party was and the house was in viewing distance when his view was interrupted by a harpoon just missing blasting through the back of his head and into his peripheral vision. Whirring into action, Phantom grabbed the rope the harpoon was attached to and aggressively tugged the rope forward, lurching the one holding the harpoon gun off balance. Without wasting a moment, he sent ice energy down the rope to freeze the gun to the hand holding it before finally turning around. There was absolutely no surprise about who he saw.

“Ice of you to drop by, Skulker. Afraid your aim is going to have to get better than that if you want getting the drop on me to not go to waste.” Phantom taunted. Skulker growled furiously as he shook his frozen hand and attempted to break free while reaching for another weapon with his other.

“You’ll regret taunting me when you’re nothing but a pelt strung up on the wall of my haunt!” The ghostly hunter declared, pulling out a comically large weapon from his supply bag.

“Oh shit! Phantom’s fighting Skulker outside, everyone!” The drunk voice of Dash bellowing from down the street distracted Phantom for just a second long enough for him to be turning his head towards the sound one moment and feeling like a train had rammed into him the next.

Phantom evaluated the situation he was in. On the positive side, the rocket that was currently pushing him along wasn’t one that seemed to blow up on contact. On the other hand, he was currently being jetted down the street by the speed and force of said rocket. He quickly iced the engine into stalling, stopping him just in front of Kwan’s house, where a bunch of drunk teenagers were stumbling out the front door to gawk at the fight. When he noticed his human half was part of that crowd, a strange flipping feeling formed in his gut.

Danny seemed to be swept up in the current of people rushing outside. It seemed that he’d already taken off the hoodie Phantom knew they were planning on wearing to the party, revealing his faded black, worn and slightly shredded Humpty Dumpty shirt that they refused to throw out. It surprised Phantom, as it wasn’t the shirt they’d planned on wearing, but it felt like a pleasant surprise. The sleeves seemed to be fighting his biceps in a way it hadn’t when they first bought the shirt, as he gripped a post on the porch to get away from the fluidity of the crowd. The amused but slightly frazzled look on his face told Phantom that there was no way Danny had only had one or two drinks like they planned.

\\\\\

Danny made his way up to his room as quickly as he could, willfully ignoring how awkwardly he had left his ghost half downstairs. Being gently held up by Phantom like he had weighed nothing brought up a strange feeling in his stomach and a heat to his face. It must have been embarrassment, and it was truly embarrassing to be embarrassed by something so trivial. He’d thought his masculinity was less fragile than that. Even as he finally reached his room he was still fanning his face, which must be visibly red with how hot it felt.

With a shake of his head, he forced himself to snap out of it and get onto task with getting ready. Danny quickly found the jeans and hoodie he had been planning on wearing, but the baggy, long-sleeve tee he wanted to wear wasn’t in his shirt drawer like he expected. Eventually, he discovered it scrunched up at the bottom of his very full laundry hamper. Seeing it surrounded by his used socks told him it would not pass the sniff test, so he went back to the shirt drawer to pick something else. He had limited options, most of his shirts being in the hamper. He’d get to doing the laundry eventually, probably. Catching his eye, he found the shirt he’d bought at a Humpty Dumpty concert years ago. The black had faded to a dark grey, and there were some small tears that he couldn’t remember if they were part of the design or the result of a surprise attack from a ghost, but either way the shirt was still functional. Sliding it on, he noticed it felt tighter than when he had originally bought it, especially around his arms. He smiled, glad that his more developed muscles from his work as Phantom remained in his human form. He certainly had felt that Phantom had kept the muscles when he’d been holding him. Realising his face was heating up again, he quickly shifted his thoughts away from the memory. Seeing it was time to go to the party, he finished getting dressed and headed out.

Danny cheered along with the small crowd as Star defeated Dale at beer pong. It seemed the skills of a math genius and cheerleader lent themselves better to the task than a footballer, as none of the guys had gotten close to beating her at the game so far. He took the last gulp of his vodka and orange juice, cringing at the bitter taste. He thought the fancy looking vodka, 100 proof or something, would taste better than the regular looking bottle, but even with juice it tastes like battery acid. At the start of the drink, he could not understand why anyone liked drinking. But now, with how relaxed he felt he was starting to see the appeal. Danny shuffled off to the drinks table, and looked at the options. He thought about making another of the same drink, before turning the thought down. Why waste his last drink on something he didn’t like? There was a punchbowl labeled “jungle juice”, which smelled tropical and sweet. He heard that the later on in the party it was, the worse people got with mixing drinks, so he thought he ought to try it now before it got remade more alcoholic. This one was a lot better, as the taste of the alcohol wasn’t punching him in the face like the last drink. Maybe this wasn’t that strong? With the better taste, he found himself downing the drink much quicker than the first. Now that he’d had two drinks in front of everyone, he could probably hang out with people on the front porch until Phantom flew past. Maybe they could even chat for a bit to make sure people saw them at the same time. Might be a good idea for Phantom to put an arm around him, win some cool points for being close to Phantom. With that thought, Danny suddenly felt way too warm in his hoodie. He’d heard alcohol made you feel warmer, but he wasn’t expecting it to happen after only two drinks. The hoodie was halfway off his head when a loud voice rang in from outside.

“Oh shit! Phantom’s fighting Skulker outside, everyone!” Everyone inside perked up at Dash’s voice, before a sweeping crowd rushed to the front door. Danny quickly chucked the hoodie onto the couch before getting caught in the wave of people and swiftly being led onto the porch. He grabbed the nearest post to maintain his good view of the fight, feeling a rush of excitement as Phantom’s gaze met with his own. Heat rose to his face again with embarrassment at realising he understood why his classmates idolised him as Phantom. He looked incredible and heroic out there. Danny was wondering if he’d subconsciously shapeshifted his form to make his face more handsome and to fill out his suit in all the right places because there was no way he normally looked like that, right? When the heat in his cheeks became too much, Danny quickly averted his eyes away from Phantom, awkwardly landing his gaze to the ground rather than look at anything with purpose. It was just as well that he had, because when something shiny and cylindrical caught his eye he realised that Phantom must have dropped the thermos. With a quick check back on Phantom and seeing that Skulker had caught up and retaken his attention, Danny used the opportunity to dart out over the porch railing and run as stealthily as he could towards the thermos, neatly swooping it into his hands before slinking towards the fight. He had almost made it to the perfect position to sneak attack Skulker and catch him completely off guard, but it seemed he’d gotten close enough to the action for the teens watching to notice him.

“What the fuck is Fenton doing?” One of them exclaimed in a loud, drunken slur of words. That’s all it took for Skulker’s head to snap around, quickly scanning the area until his eyes landed on Danny.

“Whelp! What is the meaning of thi-” Was all the hunter got out before Phantom thunked him over the head with the iced over rocket launcher with a very satisfying ‘BONK!’ sound.

“Now!” Commanded Phantom rather pointlessly, as Danny was already in the process of aiming the thermos and pressing the capture button. Danny fought the urge to roll his eyes at Phantom for acting like he hasn’t been doing this basically every day for the last four years.

“Thanks for the assist!” Phantom called out with a debonair grin. This time Danny didn’t fight the urge to roll his eyes.

“Wouldn’t have needed it if you took better care of your stuff.” He sassed, wiggling the thermos in his hand. Phantom let out a huff of a laugh.

“How much have you had to drink?” Danny frowned at Phantom’s question.

“Only two, calm down. I still feel in control or whatever, just feeling a little…” Danny attempted to reassure.

“Sassy?” Phantom offered with a teasing lilt, floating closer until he was hovering in front of Danny, floating a foot off the ground so the human had to look up at him.

“Hey! I’d like to see you do better!” Danny challenged, crossing his arms and fighting a smile back.

“I probably would, considering I’m a ghost. Alcohol wouldn’t affect me, right?” Phantom assumed.

“Fenton’s right, you should totally drink with us!” Kwan offered excitedly, gesturing back towards his house. The new voice tore Danny and Phantom’s eyes away from each other, realising that the crowd had shifted to circle them at some point without either of them noticing.

“I- I shouldn’t. I still have to patrol…” Phantom excused nervously, which made sense. They only wanted to be seen at the same time, but not for a long stretch of time. What if people looked too closely at their faces and noticed the similarities?

“Aw, but surely you could stay just for a little bit as a break? Maybe join us for some party games?” Paulina asked with an alluring lilt, eyes batting sweetly up at Phantom. This was going to be tough to resist, surely.

“Sorry, maybe another time?” Phantom replied reluctantly, floating back up and getting ready to fly off.

He made it maybe two feet before something blasted at him. Phantom managed to notice right at the last second and generate a shield which caught the majority of the blast, but he didn’t pull the shield up past enough to stop the orange shrapnel from exploding into his face and neck. Crying out in sudden pain, Phantom fell to the ground. Danny’s stomach clenched with dread as he slid on his knees to check on his ghost half.

“Woohoo! We finally got him Mads!” Cheered the unmistakable voice of his dad.

“Shit, what do we do?” Someone whispered frantically. Danny crouched lower towards Phantom from his kneeling position.

“Phantom, you need to overshadow me!” He whispered urgently, pulling Phantom’s hands toward his own body as though that would trigger the power into working. The surprise of the instruction cut through Phantom’s daze as his eyes widened.

“What? But it was so awful last time.” The ghost whispered back apprehensively, although he didn’t recoil from Danny’s pulling hands.

“I know, but it’s the only way to avoid mom and dad. They’re used to me setting off their equipment so it’ll be easier to convince them you got away.”

With a nod, Phantom sunk into Danny, not taking over the mind completely, but rather carrying himself as more of a backseat driver. It seemed to be just in time, as Jack and Maddie had finally made their way to the crowd.

“Where’d that spook go? I know he landed around here.” Jack bellowed embarrassingly loud while waving whatever monstrosity-level gun they’d built and used to hurt Phantom. Danny could feel how much the shrapnel embedded in Phantom had hurt him, the pain lingering in the ghost’s psyche even without a physical form. Danny felt a strange anger at his parents for harming Phantom. One he hadn’t really felt before any time it had been himself in that line of danger from them. Maybe the othering of Phantom was allowing Danny to not let his own self-devaluing get in the way of reacting to what they were doing. How unfair it was to be so violent to someone just trying to help.

Suddenly, a soothing presence washing over his raging mind snapped him out of his spiral.

“Phantom?”

“It’s okay, Danny. I’m okay.”

Hearing Phantom in his mind gently reassure him was strangely calming. Before he could dwell on that any further, his mother snapped his attention back to the situation at hand by carefully yet firmly pulling party goers out of her way.

“Move out of the way kids, it’s dangerous to protect that thing.” She warned harshly. The teens reluctantly parted, allowing Maddie and Jack to walk through easily.

“Danno! What are you doing here?” Jack questioned, seemingly caught between being happy to see his son and wondering if he’s caught him getting up to something. Danny felt shock widen his eyes for a second before he schooled his expression and rose to his feet, turning to face his parents. He completely forgot to tell them he was going out. He’d meant to tell them and had been planning on doing it at breakfast, but they’d never left the basement that morning and it quickly escaped his mind until now.

“I told you I was going to a party tonight.” He bluffed, hoping their history of forgetting things would make it more believable. Jack smiled and nodded, as if recalling a conversation.

“Righto! Did you see where that ghost menace went?” Jack asked, quickly moving on, darting his gaze around the crowd like he was going to catch Phantom hiding in the crowd.

“He phased into the ground, so I couldn’t see which direction he went.” Danny answered with a shrug. Surely that’ll be believable enough and vague enough to not be detectable as a lie.

“That damn sneak!” Jack exclaimed with a growl. Maddie tsked disappointedly.

“We’ll have to scan the area fully to try to find a signal…” She thought out loud. Danny winced. A proper scan would lead them straight to him.

“Yes! I can see Phantom getting away! Go Phantom!” Star suddenly cheered, pointing down to the far end of the street. Quickly catching on, Paulina cheered and clapped, getting the rest of the crowd going too. Maddie swept her gaze across the crowd disappointedly while Jack was already sprinting down the street. WIth a sigh, she walked back to the GAV and followed after him.

“You won’t get away this time, chump!” Jack bellowed, voice still carrying from his distance away. The crowd waited silently for a few beats once the ghost hunters were out of view, only letting out a sigh of relief when it became apparent they were properly gone.

As Phantom melted his way out of his body, Danny instinctively grabbed him to keep him from getting far. Looking over the ghost, Danny could see the orange-coated shrapnel poking out of wounds that otherwise should have healed instantly.

“Thanks for your help, everyone. I should get going-” Phantom starts, gently attempting to tug himself out of Danny’s hold, which only makes him tighten his grip.

“Nonsense! Whatever they coated that shrapnel with is preventing you from healing. I need to get you inside and pluck that shit out. Kwan, do you have tweezers inside?” Danny explains as he pulls Phantom back towards the house.

“Y-Yeah. My mom keeps them in my parents’ en suite.” Kwan replies, stumbling from being caught off guard before catching up to the duo.

“Perfect, let’s go.”

Danny could faintly hear the sounds of the party returning to normal, muffled through the bathroom and bedroom doors that had been shut for privacy. Tweezers in hand, he turned his focus onto Phantom, who was sitting awkwardly on the closed toilet as he waited to be treated.

“You don’t have to do this.” Phantom states quietly, more meek than Danny expected.

“Shut up and don’t be daft. Why in the world would I leave you to deal with this on your own?”

Danny leaned in close to Phantom’s face, trying to get a clear view of the shrapnel pieces, but when it came to extracting them he found he was too wobbly on his feet.

“Hang on, gotta try to steady myself. Oh, I got an idea!” With far less grace than he was hoping to move with, Danny sat himself on Phantom’s lap, legs around his hips and his non-tweezer hand gripping Phantom’s shoulder for balance.

/////

Phantom wondering if his face could spontaneously explode. From embarrassment or this other emotion he couldn’t quite name yet, he wasn’t sure. All he knew was that the pressure of Danny on his lap and the way he was leaning into Phantom’s space was turning his stomach contents into static butterflies and sending too much ectoplasm into his cheeks to the point where exploding felt like a realistic option. His human half squirmed a little, trying to find the best way to balance himself, and suddenly Phantom felt a jolt of unexpected pleasure in the sensation.

Fuck!” Phantom grunted under his breath, realising he was becoming hard in his pants. Was that really all it took? A little pressure and a little wriggling? It was absolutely mortifying, even more so if Danny ever noticed.

“What? What happened? Where does it hurt?” Danny questioned, a concerned look on his face furrowed his brow and lightly pouted his lips.

“N-Nothing I can’t handle.” Phantom attempted to dismiss, which only made Danny look at him sceptically.

“Just get on with it.” The ghost grumbled. The sooner this shrapnel came out, the better.Page 1

Page 2

With that, Danny meticulously plucked out each piece of shrapnel from Phantom’s skin, ectoplasm quickly healing over each newly freed cut. Phantom had to admit it was…nice to be taken care of like this. With Jazz or his friends he was often too embarrassed to ask for help and ended up fixing himself up. If it always felt this good he might have to start asking for help more often.

“Tada! Doctor Danny has done it again!” Danny cheers, hopping up off of Phantom’s lap and raising his hands above his head victoriously. A chill ripped through Phantom at the sudden loss of Danny’s body temperature, but he ignored it in favour of rolling his eyes.

“Okay calm down, you pulled splinters out, don’t act like you performed heart surgery.” The ghost said dismissively, shifting from sitting to floating just slightly taller than his human counterpart. Danny gave a dramatic gasp.

“What? No “thank you Doctor Danny for saving my beautiful skin! How will I ever repay you?” Chivalry is dead, man.” Phantom couldn’t help but giggle at Danny’s antics.

“Fine, thank you Danny. You didn’t have to help me, you could have left it for me to do it myself and gone straight back to the party but you didn’t.” Phantom thanked, giving genuine gratitude.

“Of course I helped! That would have been so unfair and stupid to ditch you just to go drink and talk to people who barely tolerate me. In fact, it would be super unfair if you don’t join the party now!” Danny announced to the bathroom.

“What? No! I shouldn’t…” Phantom protested weakly.

“Dude, you’ve already handled the ghost of the day, plus Paulina invited everyone on the chance it will get you to come, so shouldn’t you reward her good behaviour by staying and joining in? I’ll look like a loser if I can’t talk you into staying, anyhow.” Danny rationalised, placing a palm to Phantom’s lower back and leading him out into the hallway where a bunch of Danny’s classmates were waiting.

“Phantom! You’re okay!” Paulina cooed caringly.

“Dude, you’re staying for the party right?” Kwan asked eagerly, maximising on his labrador energy.

“It like, wouldn’t be safe to go out while the Fentons are looking for you, yeah?” Star reasoned. With everyone asking him to stay, how could he say no?

“I guess I can stay for a bit.” He managed to get out before the hallway erupted with cheers. Suddenly a wall of jocks surrounded him, excitedly putting their arms around his shoulders and patting him on the back. Before he knew it, he’d been swept into the living room where more classmates were waiting.

“HE’S STAYING!” Kwan bellowed, cupping his hands around his mouth as a makeshift megaphone. Once again, the room was cheering emphatically, even the people who had already cheered in the hallway. Being drunk must make everything very exciting.

“My man Phantom needs a drink!” Dash declared to the room, and sure enough within the minute someone was putting a cup filled with something that smelled very sweet and fruity into his hand.

“I’m not sure I should. What if there’s another ghost attack?” Phantom questioned, concerned he might not be sober enough to fly, let alone fight if he has anything.

“Dude, you’re a ghost. Surely you can’t get drunk!” Mike theorises loudly. Everyone in the room slowly turns to Danny with an expectant look.

“Uh…he’ll probably be fine. Like, his ectoplasm is too corrosive to have food digest for a regular amount of time, so surely that means he’d burn through alcohol too quickly for it to affect him, right? Like the Flash with his superspeed metabolism, but a ghost.” Danny mumbled out an explanation. Despite Danny clearly being drunk, the logic did make enough sense to Phantom.

“Works for me.” Phantom states, before taking a big swig of the pink, sugary drink. Not yet bored of cheering, the room breaks out in another one in celebration of Phantom joining in with the underage drinking. He tries to rationalise the morality of it away by thinking of how if they were in Europe all of this would be legal.

After taking his third shot of the night, Phantom finally lost his internal fight to stop himself from floating, letting himself rise up with a giddy giggle.

“Dude, I think I was severely wrong about alcohol affecting you.” Danny commented, voice raspy from his own shot. Looking over at his human half, he could see a hint of guilt flashing behind his joking demeanour. Phantom smiled fondly and ruffled Danny’s hair.

“Don’t blame yourself, man. I really should have known better than to trust the logic of a drunk idiot.” He reassured with a teasing lilt.

“Hey!” Danny shouted with an indignant tone, before quickly losing his serious expression and bursting into laughter. Phantom was about to say something else to try to get his human to laugh again, when his advanced senses picked up his name from a familiar voice.

“Perfect, Fenton seems to have gotten Phantom to loosen up. This is going to be our best chance to get him relaxed enough to kiss a civilian! Quick, start rounding people up for Spin the Bottle.” Phantom glances across the room to see Paulina whispering to a small group of girls, gesturing towards Ashley in a shooing manner, who responds with an emphatic nod and bouncing off excitedly towards another group.

“You really think you’re going to get lucky enough to land on Phantom?” Star questioned skeptically. Paulina rolled her eyes and flicked her hand in the air dismissively.

“Girl, I’m not leaving it to chance. I’ve been working on knowing exactly how to spin the bottle so that it lands in the same direction every time. All I have to do is get him to sit in the perfect spot and voila! Perfect opportunity for a romantic kiss!” Phantom tunes out the rest of their conversation as his mind buzzes with excitement. If you had told him in Freshman year that Paulina would be rigging a Spin the Bottle game just to kiss him, he’d be over the moon! If you had told Sophomore or Junior year Danny the same thing they would have grimaced with apprehension over kissing the one who bullied him in Freshman year. BUT! Paulina had truly improved over the years, and while she could still be a little prickly she had really become a better person. So character development was sexy, screw him!

Page 3

“Danny! Paulina’s gonna rig a game of Spin the Bottle just to make out with me!” Phantom whispered excitedly to his human half.

“Whoa, that’s awesome!” Danny replied with a grin, although Phantom noticed a sad look flash across his eyes for a short second before resetting to happy.

“Wait, no what was that? You didn’t look happy…what’s wrong?” Phantom questioned, his mirth dropped at the idea of his human being upset. Danny gave a confused frown.

“I…I don’t know. Maybe I’m jealous?” He guessed with a shrug. Phantom dropped his hand on Danny’s shoulder sympathetically, rubbing his thumb gently across his collarbone in what he hoped was a comforting way.

“Don’t worry, once we merge you’ll absorb my memories of the night and it’ll be like she kissed you too. Plus, just ‘cause she’s rigging her turn doesn’t mean we can’t rig your turn with a little telekinesis.” Phantom offered under his breath in a cheeky tone, wiggling his fingers to represent using his powers. Danny laughed and shook his head.

“Nah, I wouldn’t feel right about using our powers to get a girl to kiss us when she doesn’t want to.” Danny explained, making Phantom blink in surprise.

“Even if she does it first?” Danny shifted uncomfortably at Phantom’s question.

“Someone else doing the wrong thing shouldn’t give me a moral code override to do it myself. Besides, it’s different because you want to kiss her.” What Danny said made sense, but Phantom couldn’t help but frown.

“But she does want to kiss you! She just doesn’t know that.” He tried to explain. Danny gave a weak smile and patted Phantom on the shoulder.

“Not close enough, unfortunately. But thank you, anyway.”

With that, they were finally corralled into the den where the game was being set up. Phantom innocently sat where a couple of the popular girls urged him to, both giggling on either side of him as Paulina took her place with a triumphant grin on her face. Sure enough, Paulina declared she should go first and when she spun the bottle it landed perfectly aimed at Phantom. Rather than stand up, she made the choice to crawl sensually towards him like a jungle cat that just spotted dinner. With perfect poise she climbed onto his lap and placed her hands on his shoulders before sliding them into his hairline as she leaned in for the kiss. He leaned in eagerly to meet her lips with his own and when they connected he found himself surprised by how little he felt affected by it. He was kissing the hottest girl in school while she raked her fingers through his hair and grinded into his lap and it did nothing for him. She had very soft lips and clearly knew what to do with them, so he had no idea why Danny pulling shrapnel out of his face seemed to get him more worked up than this sex goddess. At the thought of that memory, he felt a shameful throb grow in his pants. Seeming to feel the change, Paulina pulled back with a satisfied look on her face and removed herself from his lap.

Page 5

“If you want any more you’ll have to just land on me…or wait until after the game.” She almost purred, before making her way back to her spot. With a sinking feeling his mind honed in on one part of what she said. He’d been so excited for her turn he forgot about his turn. Looking around the circle, his nerves wound tighter and tighter. Even after all this time so many of his classmates had a hero worship for him as Phantom. If he landed on any of them would it give them false hope that he might be interested? Would Paulina give shit to whoever he landed on? Sure she’d improved but not by that much to not get jealous. Suddenly his eyes landed on Danny on the opposite side of the circle, who was watching him with a dazed but concerned expression. Phantom knew the only safe option for him to land on was Danny. Yeah, it would be a little awkward kissing himself, the idea was already making his stomach do some crazy flips. But, he knew it was safer than landing on someone else who could get their hopes up about starting a relationship with Phantom, and he knew his human half would be able to handle Paulina’s ire. Hopefully his human would understand that he didn’t really have a choice other than to choose him.

Soon enough it came to Phantom’s turn and with a little telekinesis he made the bottle aim right at Danny. A couple of the nerdy girls gasped, as they had whenever the bottle landed on anyone who was the same gender as the spinner. For some reason that made it more exciting for them, he guessed. Danny’s eyes widened in shock, looking between Phantom and the bottle in disbelief. Phantom’s thought process hadn’t seemed to cross Danny’s mind, which surprised him. He may have to apologise and explain afterwards. With a strange nervousness, Phantom floated into a low hover to drift closer to Danny. Hanging just above his human, it forced him to tilt his head up a little to meet the ghost’s eye and something about the sight of the angle did something warming to his gut. All he truly had to do was lean in, give himself a quick peck and then they could all move on. He reached forward to cup Danny’s cheek in his hand to stabilise his trajectory, which seemed to make Danny blink slowly up at him with darkening eyes. He felt as though magnets were pulling him closer, like Danny had a gravitational field he couldn’t outrun. Suddenly he couldn’t wait any longer through the agonising anticipation so he swooped in to close the distance, pressing his ghostly lips to his human ones.

The number one thought in his mind was wondering if getting hit by lightning ever felt good, because if so it’s got to feel like this. Actually, the first real thought in his was an incomprehensible string of “yes yes yes yes yes yes oh yes yes yes yes yes” on loop until some of his cognitive function returned after the shock of pleasure. It felt fucking amazing to kiss Danny. The hand on his human’s cheek slid around to grip desperately at the back of his head as Phantom sunk into Danny’s lap, keen to make himself as close as possible to his human. Both he and Danny seemed to have the same idea at the same time, because when Phantom opened his mouth to lick along Danny’s lips, he was met with the human’s own tongue. Phantom’s unbusy hand found its way to the back on Danny’s neck to pull him closer, as Danny’s own hands snaked their way around Phantom’s waist drawing him further in. Following his urges, Phantom ground into Danny’s hips with his own, winning a beautiful moan from the human in response.

“OKAY! That’s enough!” Paulina’s panicked voice blurted out frantically, knocking Phantom out of his trance.

“Y-yeah, no need to get to third base for a game, bro.” Dale laughed awkwardly, trying to ease the range of tensions building in the room.

After Phantom awkwardly drifted away from him back to his spot in the circle, Danny felt stunned stupid where he sat. Was that what it felt like to kiss a ghost? Or was it just a skill Phantom had without knowing? Either way it felt incredible! He knew when he saw that the bottle had landed on himself he felt bad for Phantom’s bad luck and knew they’d have to work hard to make it look good and not awkward, but damn! He wasn’t worried about that any more. As the game continued around the circle, he couldn’t stop himself from staring at Phantom, who seemed just as intent to stare at him right back. He was only vaguely aware of the game reaching his turn when Paulina stood up abruptly.

“Actually, I’m bored of the game now. Phantom, come with me darling. We need to…catch up.” Hearing his name got both Phantom and Danny to snap out of their staring contest and look up at her. Phantom nodded with a confused look on his face, before following after the girl in a daze. With Phantom out of the room, Danny felt himself return to his senses. Why was he so fixated on his own ghost half all of a sudden? It felt like they were trying to fuse through body contact, they were pressing so close together. Is that what they were instinctively doing? It made more sense than…being attracted to himself? He shuddered the thought away. He couldn’t think like that. It was just the alcohol, right?

“Uh, Danny? It’s your turn.” Hannah softly urged at his lack of movement.

“Oh, right. Sorry.” Danny apologised sheepishly before crawling to the centre of the circle where the bottle was.

“All good, I think anyone would need a minute or two to even process kissing Phantom, let alone move past it.” Hannah reassured empathetically, causing Ashley to snort.

“Girl, did you see how those two were going at each other? I wouldn’t ever be able to move past that!” She exclaimed emphatically.

Danny quickly spun the bottle, feeling heat pool in his cheeks from embarrassment. What were they thinking going so nuts on each other in front of so many people? What would they all think? What would Sam and Tucker think when word got around? He was so fucked…

The sound of drunken giggles brought him back to the moment, seeing that the bottle had pointed at Tiffanie, who was smiling with a cheeky grin as the girls on either side of her giggled and squealed.

“It’ll be like second-hand kissing Phantom!” Someone whispered excitedly from somewhere in the room. Jokes on whoever it was, considering normally kissing Danny would mean kissing Phantom directly. He crawled his way over to Tiffanie, stopping right in front of her and waited to get some sort of signal that she was ready. Once she gave him a quick series of excited nods, he leaned in and pressed his lips onto hers, trying to keep it somewhere between too gentle and too firm. Her lips were softer than Phantom’s, and a lot warmer. She smelled amazing too. By every metric Danny could think of, he should have liked kissing this very beautiful girl more than his ghost half.

And yet…

No matter how soft, warm and beautiful she was, kissing her didn’t light his nerve endings on fire, didn’t make him feel like he’d been given an adrenalin shot. It didn’t feel made for him, it didn't fill an empty feeling in his chest. It had felt like the appropriate amount of time for a kiss to last, so Danny pulled away from Tiffanie, opening his eyes to see her doing the same.

“Huh.”

“What? I wasn’t that bad, was I?”

“No! That was really good. I was just…well…”

“What is it?”

“I was just expecting you to feel me up more like you did Phantom.”

“I-I’m sorry. I only knew you said yes to a kiss, so I didn’t even think to go any further-”

“Shut up, I’m not mad at you for being a gentleman. It’s just answering some questions I had, is all.”

It didn’t take long for the game to wrap up; everyone seemed to get bored once they’d all had their turn. Danny made his way back to the drinks table and made up another vodka drink, hoping it would take the edge off of the memory of kissing Phantom. The sooner he got back to that tipsy and giddy feeling he had prior to the game, the better he would be at putting it out of his mind. Drifting between various drinking games and joining in on empty-headed laughter, he felt like he was doing a pretty good job. Until he entered the room where Phantom was and suddenly that was all he could focus on.

His ghost half was sitting on a couch next to Paulina, mostly empty drink in hand and smiling politely at whatever Paulina was saying to him. For some reason she’d gotten changed into a tight, mini denim skirt and a slightly baggy, distressed humpty dumpty shirt. Danny assumed she’d spilled something on her or whatever. Bit of a weird coincidence that it looked like his own outfit, but girlified.

“It’s not a coincidence. She’s trying to subconsciously remind Phantom of you.” Star’s sudden appearance and commentary nearly made Danny jump out of his skin.

“What?” He yelped with less dignity than he’d hoped for. Turning his eyes away from Phantom and Paulina, he saw that a small group of girls had accrued around him.

“Yeah! She’s trying to get Phantom to make out with her like he did with you. She’s been wanting him bad since she first saw him and whatever he’s got for you has been her best lead so far on what he wants.” Brittany explained, though it offered no help towards Danny knowing what they were on about.

“I don’t think it’s even occurred to her that if Phantom likes a guy he might be fully gay and not want her.” Tiffanie commented with a mildly concerned expression. Danny’s eyes widened. They think Phantom is gay?

“Phantom’s not fully gay. I mean-” Danny stammered with panic, struggling to come up with a recovery statement.

“Yeah, yeah. You would know, wouldn’t you?” Ashley scoffed under her breath, before taking another swig of her drink.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Danny questioned, voice rising in frustration.

“You would know Phantom’s sexuality because you’re already dating him.” Hannah answered with a tone that suggested she thought it was the most obvious answer in the world.

Newsflash, Hannah. It’s not!

“What?!” Danny exclaimed. Now they think he’s dating Phantom? Over one stupid game?!

“That’s why you jumped so fast at taking care of him, why he used his telekinesis to land on you in the game, and why you didn’t need to get consent for getting handsy because you already know he’s down for it.” TIffanie explained, dread filling Danny’s stomach because when she put it like that, he understood why they’d come to that conclusion.

“That’s ridiculous!” He tried to scoff dismissively, but could feel he wasn’t being very convincing.

“That’s romantic as fuck. It’s like the two of you are forbidden lovers with your parents and all. It must make it all so exciting.” Hannah drunkenly sighed wistfully, with all the girls nodding along dreamily. Now that caught Danny off guard. These girls, who all previously wanted to be with Phantom, were now loving the idea of Danny being in some sort of forbidden romance with him? Has reading romantasy books reset the teen girl’s inclination for jealousy? Surely he can’t have had so much chemistry with himself that they’d all give up that easily, right?

“Is it just me, or does Phantom look like he’s uncomfortable with Paulina?” Star pointed out to Ashley.

“What?” Danny snapped, whipping back around to look back at Phantom. Did he look uncomfortable? Deciding he looked close enough to it, Danny walked away from the group without another word. He caught a smattering of “nice one!” whispers, but paid it no mind.

Danny made his way quickly over to the couch area where Phantom and Paulina were sitting, pulling out his phone and hitting his shortcut for NASA news. The ghost looked around awkwardly like he was looking for an escape as Paulina’s hand inched further up his leg. When Phantom’s eyes met Danny’s upon arrival, the way they brightened told Danny he was making the right choice.

“Hey guys, have you seen the latest Expedition 75 photos?” Danny announced his presence loudly, causing Paulina to jolt away from Phantom in surprise. In his best attempt at appearing to not read the room, Danny sat himself between them in the space created by Paulina’s jump back.

“Ooh, did they release those today? Show me!” Phantom requested, leaning into Danny’s space to look over his shoulder at the phone screen. The proximity made every hair on his body stand on end. Damnit, why was feeling the weight of his ghost half draped over his side so exciting?

“Expedition 75?” Paulina asked, trying to sound interested.

“It’s a space mission continuing the scientific research on stem cells and plant cell division they were working on in the 74 mission.” Danny explained. Paulina blinked at him for a couple of seconds before groaning and getting up.

“Yeah, my limit is nerd shit. I’m out.” And just like that, she wandered off to the group of girls Danny had just walked away from.

“Thanks for the save. The idea of saying no to her makes me weirdly more nervous than facing down the GIW.” Phantom thanked, his body relaxing against Danny’s as the tension he held in it was released.

“That’s because Paulina actually knows how to aim.” Danny replied jokingly, despite the truth to his words. The two of them giggled together, and Danny felt a pleasant warmth spread through his chest and spread out across his whole body. His eyes left his phone and braved their way up to Phantom’s face to find the ghost smiling at him as his bright eyes flickered down to Danny’s lips. The warm feeling shifted to boiling water in his groin, telling Danny he needed to get away before he’d do something he’d regret.

“Well, now that you’ve been rescued I should let you enjoy the rest of the party-” He spoke, starting to rise to his feet before cold hands clutched at his waist and forearm.

“Wait! I mean, you know she’ll come back the minute you leave, right? It’s totally safer if you stay with me.” Phantom rattled out an excuse, which would have made sense if not for one strange issue.

“Why is it a problem if she comes back anyway? She’s hot and clearly wants you, but you looked so uncomfortable.” Danny questioned, earning a wince from Phantom as he averted his gaze.

“It’s hard to explain. You’re going to think I’m crazy.” It felt truly bizarre, realising that Phantom thought Danny was going to judge him, like he could reject his other half. In what he hoped was comforting, Danny took Phantom’s hand into his own and rubbed gentle circles with his thumb.

“Hey, by default if you’re crazy then I’m crazy too, so you’re in good company.” He offered with a grin, winning a smile from his ghost.

“I…I was really excited to kiss her. It was nice kissing her.” Phantom started cautiously, eyes not leaving their intertwined hands.

“So what was the issue?” Danny prompted softly, not wanting to push too hard.

“That’s it though. It was just nice. Not amazing, not breathtaking, not lifechanging! Not like…” Despite trailing off, it was clear to Danny what Phantom was about to say.

Not like with you.

“I just didn’t feel anything. I realised that she’s pretty and everything, but I don’t want her. She’s not the one I’ve been stuck thinking about since the game. Maybe even before the game too.” The more Phantom speaks, the more it feels like a confession. Danny couldn’t help the way his heart raced at what he thought he was hearing. Truth be told, he knew exactly how Phantom was feeling. It felt like a perfect mirror to his own feelings. Of course it was though, who else would mirror him so well?

“If it makes you feel better, I’ve been avoiding you because I couldn’t stop thinking about when we kissed and I was worried what I’d do if I got close to you again.” Danny offered his own confession in solidarity. Phantom turned sharply to catch Danny in an intense yet hopeful look. The ghost gulped as his eyes yet again flashed down to his lips for a moment.

“What are you worried you’ll do?” Phantom asked while trying to sound innocent, but the glint in his eyes betrayed his thoughts. Danny leaned in until their noses brushed against each other, causing Phantom to gasp softly under his breath.

“I’m worried I’m going to kiss you again and I won’t be able to stop this time.”

That’s all Danny needed to say to have Phantom’s lips crash against his own desperately, already at the point of licking and biting at his lips. Danny returned the motion with equal enthusiasm, lifting his hand to rake his fingers up through Phantom’s white hair and tug the ghost frantically closer, winning a delectable moan from him. Danny felt Phantom surge and shift his body until he was sat upon Danny’s lap pressing his groin into him with renewed urgency. If his mind were able to function at a higher level in that moment, he could spew poetry about how pressing against his ghost half felt as soothing as putting cold water on a burn, or how his heart felt like something between poprocks and fireworks. But if he was being real, no words could truly accurately relay how transcendent the moment felt. Other than maybe…

“Holy fuck!” Danny gasped out breathily as Phantom ground himself against his increasingly pressurised erection. He only had a moment to breathe before Phantom recaptured his lips, wrapping his arms around his shoulders to pull him even closer. Danny slid his hands over Phantom’s waist, back and ass, finding it impossible to figure out which part of Phantom he wanted to grip onto the most. He wanted it all to himself, cursing the fact he only had two hands. Coming to a compromise, he steadied Phantom with one hand on his narrow waist, and used the other hand to possessively grasp at the ghost’s ass, attempting to pull him impossibly closer and winning another incredible moan which went straight to his dick. Fuck, he’s never felt so close to exploding in his life.

“Uh, sorry to interrupt, but my parents will kill me if I let anyone have sex on their couch…” Danny pried his face away from Phantom to look over his shoulder to find Kwan standing awkwardly several feet away, eyes averted from looking directly at the pair. Once Danny had turned away, Phantom immediately latched himself onto Danny’s neck, desperately licking and biting into his skin with no care for their audience.

“You can uh… use my bedroom if you need. It’s upstairs in the northwest corner.” Kwan offered generously and wow, Danny always thought that guy was the best of the jocks. Danny hadn’t thought Phantom was listening to the conversation, or could even hear it, but suddenly Danny felt himself get floated into the air and pulled intangibly through the ceiling, feeling dizzy as the environment blurred around him. Within seconds they stopped in a mostly dark room, the only sources of light being the subtle glow emanating from Phantom and the moonlight streaming through the window. He’d been tuning out the music and the voices of the people around them at the party, but now with those sounds all so far away, the quiet of the bedroom was a serene contrast. They were finally alone.

/////

Phantom raked his teeth across the firm skin of Danny’s neck before aggressively pressing a suctioning kiss into the flesh, relishing in the taste of his human. Danny let out a debaucherous moan, rippling pleasure through Phantom’s core at the sound.

“Oh, fuck…this is really happening, yeah? I didn’t pass out and actually embarrassing the shit out of myself moaning on a couch downstairs, right?” Danny managed to ask through heavy breathing. Phantom shifted a hand to pull Danny back by the hair, winning a small gasp from the human as his dazed eyes met with Phantom’s. Keeping one hand in Danny’s hair, Phantom brought the other one in to caress the apple of Danny’s cheek before cupping his face over the jawline.

“I don’t think we are creative enough to dream up how unbelievably good this feels.” Phantom reassured bluntly, before playfully nipping at Danny’s lower lip and grinding into him.

“True.” Danny chuckled out breathily, body automatically returning the movement to Phantom.

“Now if you’re done questioning reality, can we please fuck? I feel like my core is about to explode.” Phantom all but growled out desperately. At the question, Danny seemed to lose his words and only offered hungry, emphatic nodding before smashing their lips back together. Feeling how hard Danny was with each time they ground against each other, Phantom needed their clothes off yesterday. Using his powers, the ghost tugged each item of clothing off of his human with intangibility, taking satisfaction with the way his nipples immediately stiffened when met with cool air. The satisfaction was lost when it seemed he couldn’t phase out of his own suit. Panic began building within Phantom, fearing he might not be able to take it off.

“Looks like I’ll have to return the favour and undress you back.” Danny basically purred and pulled Phantom’s attention back. Lithe hands slid and scraped up his back to his neck, making quick work of the zip before peeling the suit away from the clothes he forgot he was still wearing underneath. Danny continued his work in manually and tenderly removing all of Phantom’s clothing, taking every opportunity to caress his skin along the way that he got.

“Fuck, how are you so beautiful?” Danny murmured before pressing a worshipping kiss onto Phantom’s bare collar bone. The gentle, reverent treatment was doing something…strange to Phantom. Yes, it was making his incredibly horny mood even more potent, but it also strengthened some other confusing feelings that he wasn’t sure of the name of. Shaking the confusion away, he brought his focus back to his current mission; having mind-blowing sex with his human half until neither of them could talk or walk.

With renewed gusto, Phantom grabbed Danny and flew them to the bed, pinning his human down onto it as he straddled his waist, restraining his strength but not withholding all of his force. Testing the waters, Phantom undulated his hips against Danny’s body, excitement boiling within his core as Danny’s breathing stuttered and his length strained against Phantom’s perineum. The pleasure in the sensation gave him thought to consider; who should top and who should…you know. Being realistic, Phantom didn’t believe either of them would be patient enough to prep Danny enough for it to be safe for him. Phantom had some mild shapeshifting abilities in that he could warp his own body to an extent. It would be safer for Danny, so it made sense, right?

“Phantom?” Danny’s concerned voice cut through his thinking, sharply bringing Phantom back to the moment.

“I want you to fuck me, Danny.” He announced, his desperation bringing his voice deeper and raspier than he intended. Much to his satisfaction, Phantom felt his human shudder and groan in reaction while watching his pupils dilate madly. Perhaps he should have heeded that as a warning, before Danny suddenly and aggressively flipped their positions so that he was on top of the pleasantly surprised ghost. The idea of Danny taking control so easily despite Phantom’s power was…hot, quite frankly.

Danny crashed his mouth against Phantom’s in a hungry, desperate manner as he dragged his hands down Phantom’s sides, landing on his thighs and digging his nails into flesh, encouraging the ghost to wrap his legs around his human. Phantom took the time to caress his fingers up Danny’s well-toned back, relishing in feeling the skin prickle at his touch. Danny dragged his mouth down away from Phantom’s, trailing kisses down his jaw before sucking and biting at Phantom’s neck in such a delectable way it caused the ghost to involuntarily jolt and gasp with pleasure. This must be the human’s vengeance for before. Matching the debauchery, Phantom dug his nails into Danny’s shoulder blades, scratching down his back with just enough pressure to toe the line between pleasure and pain. The groan that burst out of Danny was so decadent to him, Phantom feared he might cum before Danny had even put anything into him.

“Please, Danny. I’m not going to make it…I need you…inside…” Phantom managed to choke out between pleasured gasps. Danny drew his teeth away from Phantom’s flesh, bringing a moment of reprieve.

“But I haven’t even prepped you…” How Danny still managed to sound concerned while clearly so deep into desperation made Phantom’s core flutter.

“Y-You don’t have to. I’m ready.” Phantom reassured, cupping his hand over Danny’s cheek, sweeping his thumb over the apple of his cheek before pulling him in for a gentle kiss. Danny melted into the kiss for a few moments, before his hand travelled around to Phantom’s perineum and his middle finger softly circled the ghost’s rim as if to test the waters.

“Holy shit, are you self-lubricating?” Danny exclaimed, breaking the kiss in his surprise. Suddenly feeling shy about it, Phantom nodded quickly before hiding his face in Danny’s neck. The finger tracing his hole suddenly plunged into him, causing a moan to burst out of him as he wrapped his arms around Danny’s shoulders in an attempt to ground himself from the ripple of erotic pleasure that rocked through him.

“Fuck, that’s so hot…” Danny basically growled through gritted teeth, as though he was on the edge of what he could handle. Phantom felt his body relax as though he was relieved. Had he been scared of Danny thinking the ectoplasm as lube was gross? Suddenly, through all the eroticism, and despite it being something he’d known deep down all along, it became so clear to Phantom that he trusted Danny more than anyone else on the planet.

“What are you going to do about it?” Phantom goaded breathlessly. Danny began shifting frantically, tilting away from Phantom slightly so that he could grasp his throbbing length and line it up with Phantom’s entrance. As he began pressing it inside, both bodies shuddered as the sensations fired up their nerves, already sending overwhelming signals of pleasure all over. Phantom couldn’t stop to think if there was something wrong with how correct it felt to have their bodies connected like this. He couldn’t focus on the small part of his core that finally felt settled even when the rest of him was shaking with arousal. The only thought he could keep up with was ‘yes yes yes yes more more more more!

More came. More kept pushing deeper and deeper, continuously strengthening the intensity of the pleasure he was feeling. He tried to pull back from the edge he felt himself getting close to. He needed this to last longer, to have Danny this close for as long as possible. Just when Phantom felt like he had a handle on his own restraint, Danny pulled back and out for a moment, before suddenly ramming back into him with a wild force. When he hit the deepest part of Phantom, the fizzling nerves burst into uncontainable fireworks that took over his entire being, leaving his vision to white out as he rode the euphoric release. The pleasure wrapped around his core and sunk into it, before he felt his core reach back out. In the back of his mind underneath the loud drone of his pleasure Phantom wondered if he should be panicking as tendrils of his own essence twisted out of the safety of his body. Any idea of following that thought evaporated when the tendrils plunged into Danny’s chest, coiling around his heart where his core would usually sit.

“Guh!” Danny grunted in shock, eyes widening before relaxing and rolling back. Phantom might have been worried that his human was in some sort of pain…if he couldn’t suddenly feel everything Danny was experiencing.

Everything about it felt surreal. The sensation of his own hands clinging to Danny sending tingles up his spine as if the hands were on his own body. Not to mention the intense feeling of his core wrapping around Danny’s heart creating an indescribable feedback loop of pleasure bouncing between the two of them. It was all going straight to his dick…well, both their dicks.

“Phantom, I -” Danny attempted to get out through the moaning, but it was unnecessary. Phantom could already feel that pressure building inside of Danny was about to climax, and he was going to take every last drop of pleasure he could from his human. Phantom pulled Danny in and crashed their lips together once more, pulling him and close as physically possible and somehow squeezing him in further. At the moment of release Danny cried out into Phantom’s mouth, which was quickly echoed by the ghost when the shared pleasure combined with his own causing him to come again. The feedback loops seemed to affect Danny too, as the sensation sent a ripple through the human’s body and he began cumming even harder than he already was. All the two of them could do was cling to each other desperately while they rode out the immeasurable waves of dominating pleasure.

Phantom wasn’t sure how long it was before he could willingly move again. It simultaneously felt like a lifetime and also not long enough. That moment had felt perfect, like nothing could even compare to how right it was. A scared part of his mind wondering if it was the only time he’d ever get to feel it, but it was soon drowned out by his tired need to wrap himself around his human and drift off into much needed rest. Anything else can wait until they wake up.
