Introducing 118 SPORTS RADIO. (audio transcribed below)
Intro: Hey, hey LA, hope you're having a great start to your morning. Have we got a lot to touch on today. There's been a ton of action in the sports world. I'm talking outside the arena, off the court, off the field. There are some athletes, poised to be great, who are still deciding where they want to play. And perhaps some new signings at a certain agency, who had a party recently, will move these decisions along. And of course there's action online and in the players' interactions and social media interactions. Hey, if it's in the public, we're reporting on it. Who doesn't love to hear about their faves? We'll have more on those coming up on THE SCOOP.
THE SCOOP: Ah the Scoop, where you come to hear important information about your favourite athletes....and you stay for the gossip. Let's talk about the Dodgers for a second. They just finished spring training and they had their final exhibition game. Their official home opener is this Thursday so they had a few days off and this past weekend a few of them were seen celebrating at a party thrown by their agent, Bobby Nash. Now here's the real scoop....shortstop Eddie Diaz was there with a DATE! Jenna Holly. I didn't know who she was so I looked her up and I guess she's a model who's taking a swing at acting.
Why is this noteworthy? Diaz has been a fan fave for years but he's notoriously private. We don't know much about him off the field at that's totally his right and it's cool. But he was also just featured on Sports Illustrated's Youtube channel, he's on this month's cover of Fitness Magazine, I know he another podcast lined up soon, and a top secret project in the works. I won't get into it too much because I don't think the paperwork has even been signed BUT let's just say, if this deal goes through you won't only be seeing him on Sportsnet. It's interesting how all of a sudden he's putting himself out there in the public eye. I'm pretty sure this is the first time he's ever attended an event with a date?
Speaking of dates...and also speaking of this party hosted by Bobby Nash...Evan Buckley, an up and coming point guard just signed with Nash. He's still in talks of either staying here in LA or going to Toronto. Word on the street is he wants to stay in LA but I guess we shall see. Anyway, his date was actress Taylor Kelly. From what I heard, and if you saw pictures of them online then you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, I don't think there's gonna be a second date happening there. Unless they get off on arguing which may be the case but that's between them!
