Chapter Text

Wendy’s POV.

Opening my eyes hurt, well my entire body hurt but who was keeping track of that. I stared into the bright sky of a sunny day- wait. Quickly sitting up despite the growing pain in my limbs I quickly look around at my surroundings. I was meet to the soft colors of Greens and browns; I was outside… of Kade.

Turning my head to check my surroundings as I stood up I… I didn’t believe it.
“Ok very funny, you can cut the act Kincaid, if you’re going to punish me at least do it while I’m aware.” I spoke to… no one, at least not to anyone I can see.
My next sentence had a different tone, “Ok Kincaid I admit it, I used the Necronomicon and made a deal to kill Rev Venett, is that what you wanted to hear?” My voice was unsteady, where the hell is she?

Beginning to walk I started to wonder where I was, the area I was in had numerus trees, in fact the foliage was so densely packed I could barely smell… anyone. Wherever I was no one was close to me, at least no one I would recognize as either a human or monster of sorts. Still, I have this sinking feeling that I was being watched, I half expected someone to pop up and-

CLANG

I felt the sharp pain as my foot made contact with a metal objected buried in the ground. Looking down I stare at some sort of pale gold… helmet? Picking it up I stared into the pale gold helmet bushing my hand along the-

“So what materiel is this?” I asked her, looking at her shoulders mostly, her body was mostly this black metal material that had these weird red crack-like streaks on it, there were some other materials, mostly on “outer” parts of her frame.
“it’s treated Brass.” Stella answered me as I patted her shoulder plate things, I’m pretty sure they were added as some sort of extra armor I could never tell with machines like her.

Shaking my head to force my head to focus on the now and not the past I looked down at the pale go- at the brass helmet in my hands. It wasn’t the weird bronze orange of the brass Stella used but it she did mention it this bronze was a material that was used to make said bronze. I stared into the visor of the knight like helm, that Armor would’ve liked this. I kept holding the helm in my hand as I examined it. Some lose wires stuck out from the bottom, figures doubt a human can wear this comfortably.

Putting my arm to the side I started walking, truth be told I didn’t have a place in mind. Nothing about this made sense, if this was a punishment then why is it so… quiet? Doesn’t help I can barely sense any animals, let alone people. After a while I did notice signs of- well they were signs of life, but whoever left behind trees that were cleaning cut down and this… old path I was walking down that went unnoticed until now where long gone as far as I can tell. I kept walking as far as I could down the path, noticing it was either gravel roads or overgrown dirt paths, there were a few noticeable things on the path I took. Cut down trees, some signs written in ink that have long sense dried out. Mostly about the “bases” of some people. I looked at the signs and guessed I should head to the closest one.

Walking down this path I exited out of the forested area, I noticed some stuff, what I can only guess where man made. Wooden poles stabbed into the ground with snuffed out lanterns and burnout torches, fences falling apart and sinking into the dirt, even a cross made of wood, there were also some farmlands with crops-wait what.

Walking back a few steps I stopped in front of a rather large wooden cross, it was easily double my height at minimum. The weird thing was that it seemed, at first glance at least, to be made from one tree instead of different trees… didn’t stop it from looking nearly symmetrical with the only differences on it being wear and tear. Who would make this. Deciding that I shouldn’t spend what little daytime that remains on something like this I walked past it, a growing feeling of wrongness in my gut as I walked.

Continuing to walk down the path I started to notice some buildings, nothing I can live in but If I needed to quickly run to a place to hide in or store some stuff I could use. Even after walking so far, I couldn’t detect any currently living thing, no birds, no animals, not even the buzz of insects, it was just plain old weird. I stopped a couple times on my walk just to check if I missed anything… I didn’t.

After some more walking I eventually made my way to a relatively sparce clearing, the path continued up the side of a hill that overlooked a beach. Looking at the top of the hill I noticed there was a house at the top of the hill. It was getting dark out as I saw the sun setting over the horizon, I should probably move. The Climb up the hill was… a bit difficult as the path went past the hill and I didn’t see if or where it would go up the hill at any point. By the time I made up a decent way up the hill the sun had gone down, I looked back down the hill, there was a forested area near-ish to the base of the hill, nothing like the place I woke up in but thick enough to hide somethin-

thunk

Was that a fucking arrow?
I looked at the tree line to see if I could see where that arrow came from… nothing. Right as I began to think it was some sort of mistake-

thunk

-Another one came at me, missing by less than a foot. I didn’t try to check to see where that one came from as I turned and just started to run up the hill. I heard a couple more arrows whiz past me and hit the ground with heavy thuds, but I didn’t pay attention. I had managed to make it to the wall of the house, stone on the bottom and a kind of wood stacked on top in most places, I went around to check to see if I can find the front door and after a bit and a few more arrows, I found the front door. Quickly checking to see if it was locked and thankfully it wasn’t.

Pushing past the door and quickly closing it behind me I stepped back from the door, doesn’t seem like whatever attacked me was going to try to get inside… weird. Looking around I noticed a few things, one everything seemed like it was just left here like whoever lived here just got up and left one day. Secondly, it had actual lighting, mostly through lanterns, a couple torches that hadn’t gone out somehow, and a few brightly glowing… rocks? Not going to question that, I walked around the house until I saw a sign, written on it was “Machine_Head321’s bedroom,” it was on one of the internal walls. Entering the room it was sparce, a bed in the corner and some furnace nearby. Oddly enough there was a weird oven thing next to what I can only guess to be a work bench of some kind. Also, a large chest that is probably meant to store personal items.

I made my way to the red bed in the corner and sat down. There I just sat there thinking about what had happened so far. I reached for my mask and- my mask is broken. Taking off my mask, I took a solid look at it, a decent chunk was taken out, the left cheek area was shattered leaving my eye exposed.

Setting my mask on the weird work bench I did notice it had a grid carved on top of it before I just laid my head on the pillow, I didn’t even want to get undressed for bed nor cover myself in the sheets… too tired for it. I stared at the ceiling as I drifted off to sleep, a sinking feeling in my chest as I did so.

Notes:

Don't worry about my other fics I do plan on finishing them some day when I get the movation for them.

Also Stella is decentlly important (she is the indirect reason that Wendy is in this situation). I do hope I get this (slightly different) version of Wendy across in a clear manner.
