Sweaty hair sticks to Geoff’s forehead as he rolls over in Tom’s bed, curling his arms up into his chest to keep himself small. The other man is already fast asleep. Geoff reaches across the bed to run his fingers through Tom’s hair, pushing it out of his face and back into place. He trails his fingers down Tom’s cheeks, tracing the shape of his face gently. They hadn’t seen each other in a while, every one of the band making sure to keep their distance so that when they reunite, they can be better than ever. Throughout the break, Geoff of course missed all of them, but he struggled to miss anyone as much as he missed Tom. Tom just got him, and even when they did argue, Geoff knew that after they’d always make up and still be friends, no matter what.
After this, though… Geoff doesn’t know what it’ll mean for their friendship.
They’ve kissed before, but to go from kissing to all the way after weeks of being apart was completely uncharted territory. Hell, going all the way was uncharted territory.
Geoff tenderly caresses Tom’s cheek, tracing the lines of his face. He sighs softly, trying to be gentle around Tom so that he doesn’t wake him up. He rubs the pad of his finger up Tom’s nose to his forehead, smoothing out the wrinkles that form from his dreams while he sleeps.
Geoff’s never stayed the night with someone after sex; hell, he rarely has sex, and especially not when they’re touring. Tom has been his first in a while, but even after just one night, he’s easily one of Geoff’s favorites. Maybe it’s the feelings he has for Tom that are clouding his judgement, covering everything with a rose-colored tint and making Tom seem like the best partner Geoff has ever had.
He sighs softly, wrapping his arm around Tom’s shoulder and tugging him closer. The taller man grumbles in his sleep, and Geoff shushes him softly, kissing his forehead.
He closes his eyes tightly and tries not to think about whether Tom will still love him in the morning…
