- Gaelyra is named after her Great-Aunt, Princess Gael Targaryen. This is due to her father, Prince Daemon, and Princess Gael being close as they were growing up due to the one year age difference between them.
- Due to Vermithor dying and being reborn with Gaelyra, it can be assumed they have the strongest dragon bond in both the Targaryen family and in the Empyrean Series.
