Chapter Text
Oscar Ludvig Bellingham Braut Håland.
only 16 years old
a name well know to many football fans.
being the son of Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland carries some weight.
half Norwegian, Half English, born in Madrid, Spain.
their we're always high exspectations of him to come up like his parents did.
their both now retired. being 39 and 42 respectfully, well passed their prime.
after talking to him, they eventualy all desided to move to Norway.
spesificly Aalesund. a rural town away from the big cities, but big enough to have it's own club.
Erling loved being home obviously, and Jude loved the quietness of Norway, being able to calm down and relax after years of being on
and Oscar? he was able to thrive in the Norwegian football scene.
just like his intire bloodline.
he thrived in the Norwegian scene for then the Spanish one, becoming a better striker just like his dad.
they we're sitting in their home in Aalesund, Oscar was in his room, doing some school work.
but his parents we're down stairs in the living room.
...
"Elsking. you'll never believe the E-mail I just got" Erling starts, with a grin on his face, phone in hand.
he sits down next to Jude, still with that shit eating grin
"oh god, that face scares me. tell me." Jude states, looking at his husband who is grinning like he just made a plan to take over the world
"Osc got a offer to join a pro leage team." Erling says still with a shit eating grin on his face
"oh, didn Aalesund offer to uprage him into the pro team?" Jude questions looking at Erling
"nope."
"oh. then a diffrent team in the Eliteserien?"
"nope. think bigger."
...
"is it one of the big four leages...?"
"getting warmer."
"oh did Real Madrid offer him a fucking spot?"
"nope. good guess, but no. Oscar wishes-"
"give me a hint."
"Bundesliga."
"oh? Leipzig?"
"nope."
"god, just tell me already Erling!"
...
Erling looks down at his phone, and begins to laugh, only making Jude's frustrations even worse
"Just tell me already!"
"he got offerd a spot by Borussia Dortmund."
"..."
"..."
...
"your taking the piss out of me, no fucking way, give me that" Jude states in disbelief, snatching Erling's phone out of his hand and reading the E-mail
"I'm serious, he got offerd a contract by Borussia Dortmund!"
there are a full minute of silence as Jude reads the e-mail mouth slowly falling open at what he was reading.
this was infact real.
their son, their sweet pup was being offerd a contract at the place where it all started.
Borussia Dortmund.
...
"holy shit." Jude says shocked
"see! I told you! I also can't believe it! full circle moment!" Erling laughs taking his phone back from Jude's hand
"we first need to ask Oscar though" Jude comments looking at the stairs leading to upstairs
"oh, I'm sure he'll say yes, Dortmund has been on a solid streak, only a fool would say now" Erling comments back
"how about we ask him before asuming anything?" Jude responds with his normal hint of sass causing Erling to roll his eyes
"OSCAR COME DOWN HERE!" Erling calls out loud enough for Oscar to here from his room
a couple seconds later the sound of Oscar comming down the stairs could be heard
"yea?" Oscar says nervously looking at his parents
"sit down, Osc. your not in trouble we just want to talk. come, sit down" Jude says reasuringly, gesturing for him to sit down
Oscar doesn't question it and just sits down.
"so... what did you need me for?" Oscar questions softly like testing the water
"well, I'll just wrip of the band aid off, you got a contract offer from a profesional team." Erling comments not suger coating anything
Oscar's eyes immediatly light up
"really??? where?!?" Oscar says excited, squirming a little in his seat
"calm down, Osc. it's out of the country. it's in the Bundesliga-"
Erling can't even finnish his sentance before Oscar is speaking up
"BUNDESLIGA??? I got offerd a contract in the BUNDESLIGA???"
"yes. yes you did. but I hope you understand that if you except that means leaving life here in Norway behind right?"
"yeah, I know, but I did it ones before and I can do it again! and who would pass up a opertunity to play in the BUNDESLIGA."
Erling just smiles and gives Jude a 'I told you so' look while Jude sighs, speaking up
"we haven't even told you the team which offerd the contract yet, Osc..." Jude states with a heavy sigh, but also understanding the pup's excitement.
he reacted just the same when he heard Borussia Dortmund wanted to sign him...
"then tell me!" Oscar whines clearly desprate to know the club
"Borussia Dortmund" Jude states mentaly repairing himself for the freak out.
"BORUSSIA DORTMUND??? HELL YEAH! why wouldn't I sign with them???"
"the kid's got a point, Jude. back to square one." Erling comments, looking at Jude with a smile
"okay, okay, fine, lets atleast start discussions and we'll see from there" Jude relents
Oscar celebrates.
"YESSSS, thank you dad!"
"no problem kiddo..."
...
a month later the contract was signed.
Oscar was going to Borussia Dortmund.
and he couldn't be more excited.
Erling and Jude desided, to move back to Dortmund with him as to both support him and 100% relive nostalga of the city they met in.
they bought a simple home in Dortmund, but desided at the same time to keep their Aalesund home as a vacation home, and to move back into ones Oscar is old enough to live on his own.
Oscar the whole time is excited, learning German with Erling as Jude watches on with love.
it'll feel weird to be back in Dortmund after all these years...
they moved their first innocent teenagers, with dreams.
and now? they return married and mated, with a child with those same hopes and dreams...
they take a flight from Aalesund to Dortmund. plus points of having a private plane
they land in Germany at 14:18. It takes them around 20 minutes to get to their new house.
And the hole time to the dissmay of Oscar, Jude and Erling are talking about their tine in Dortmund, and how oblivious they we're to eachother
Which had Oscar rolling his eyes and begging them to stop.
It did not help.
Ones they get their house, modest, but big, they get comfortable, unpacking
Erling without telling Jude orders food from their old favorite place to crash at after practise
Causing a wave of nogstalga when the food does arrive
And shortly after they all deside to go to bed, after a long day of unpacking.
And afterall, Oscar has his first practise with Borussia tomorrow, so he needs sleep.
Oscar wakes up in the morning and he is excited, but also nervous.
He gets ready, does some stretches, just incase, makes sure he has everything. And then dubble checks if he does
Jude and Erling deside to bring him to his first practise to the disamay of Oscar.
He knows it's going to be awkward and full if then reliving their younger years...
And he was correct.
The whole ride there they we're talking about their old days. They didn't even have google maps open, insticts just kicked in after driving on these roads for years
They deside to spare Oscar the embarrasment of walking in with him, and drop him off infront of the building. That god for that.
He walks inside with his training bag over his shoulder and goes to the front desk
"Hallo! Wie kann ich Ihnen helfen?" the older woman behind the desk asks in German asking what he's here for
it takes Oscar a good second of remebering the German he practised with Erling
"hallo, uh- ich bin wegen... für der Schulung...?" Oscar says back in broken German, hoping the main point is comming across, that he's here for the training
"oh! you must be Oscar! my name is Maria, let me show you around. come, follow me" the woman, named Maria, gets out from behind the front desks and start walking.
Oscar is quick to follow.
"you know, I knew your parents back when they we're playing here" Maria says with a smile on her face as she walks, showing Jude around
"really?" Oscar asks, honestly a bit suprised somebody who knew them still worked here
"yup. they we're constantly together like they we're glued together, yet still so oblivious to the fact they liked eachother. it was painfully obvious." she softly laughs as the tour continue's on
Maria tells some stories about how Erling and Jude behaved during their time here, sometimes causing Oscar to laugh at how dumb his parents use to be and the shinanigans they got up too.
eventualy they reached the lockerroom, Oscar and Maria parting ways
Oscar enters the lockerrooms.
it's loud and busy, some talking in German while others talk in English. it's pretty overwhelming
"JUNGS! SHUSH! The new guy is here!" one yells out causing the hole locker room to go quiet and look at him
luckly before it gets awkward the locker room does a round of intoductions
but one person for some reason sticks out to him
"and I'm Luuk van Ijsel, but the team calls me Lu mostly. it's nice to meet you Oscar" Luuk says with a soft smile, and a slight Dutch accent.
he's light brown hair, with a rare form of full heterochromia in both of his eyes, making one blue and the other Green. standing almost at the same hight as him though he's a little older
"nice to meet you too Luuk..." Oscar replies back looking at him.
the coach calls out that everybody has to be on the field in 2 minutes. which causes everybody to go back to their normal chatter
Oscar puts on his team kit for the first time as him and Luuk begin to talk
"so, whats it like going up with two parents who are pro footballers?" Luuk asks curiously, hoping to not come across as rude, but Oscar has been asked that so many times, he's use to it
"for me, I know nothing els, except being brought to games sinds before I can remember, footballers claiming to be my uncles, and a lot of exspectations when I started playing football" Oscar responds jokingly, tying up his cleets
"yeah, but the concept just seems to foreign to me. and I can only imagen the presure you we're under" Luuk says with a smile slightly bumbing shoulders with him
"oh trust it was baaaad. especialy when I was playing while my parents we're still active. the Spanish Junior catigories are hell on earth, especialy if your the child of a famous footballer. one bad game and suddenly your shit with no talent and only playing because of your parents"
"jesus. well I'm glad I never had that-"
"you should be. Norway was much chiller in those terms"
"literaly too"
they walk out on the field side by side talking, having banter the whole training through.
after training they share numbers, vowing to hang out sometime after training.
as they walk past the front desk chatting up a storm
Maria sees the pair chatting and smiles to herself, shaking her head at the two young footballers
"wie ABBA sagten 'the history book on the shelf, is always repeating itself'." she softly says to herself
...
