Are you kidding me right now?
Why is FlameFrags here? What could he possibly want from him?
He is so tired. He literally just escaped the purge like five seconds ago, can a guy genuinely not get time to breath before getting thrown into another fight?
And what do you mean, he wants to 1v1 him?
He doesn’t have the time for this. All he wants to do is find Eggchan’s ender pearl stasis, and Arachn1d could show up at any moment. He’s not stupid, he’ll figure out what Wemmbu’s up to if he’s gone for too long.
You genuinely have to be kidding me right now.
If he doesn’t duel Flame, he’ll mess with Egg’s stasis and in turn, it will alert Arachn1d to both his and Egg’s absence and get Egg killed. How is getting Eggchan back this hard, he’ll never know. He’d rather take being hunted by the Law to the end of the world again than deal with this right now.
He can only hope that they can end this before Arachn1d arrives.
At this point, he was just spamming orbitals, hoping, wishing, praying that he could just one-shot Flame and be done with this. He’s exhausted, wings sore from all the constant flying, and hell, the only reason he’s using his wings is because his elytra is on life support and will combust if he uses it for five more seconds, and he has nothing to mend with. Besides, he couldn’t even mend safely anyways with Flame trying to cart him every time he lands, and this time, his carts hit home.
Aaaaaand my totem popped. Awesome.
Because he doesn’t care, not for this duel, not for Flame (at least not right now), and definitely not for the Cave Civilization. All he cares about right now is ending this duel and finding Egg’s stasis pearls.
Hell, he doesn’t even know how many stasis pearls there are in this one location. For all he knew, there could be 16 different locations with only one pearl in each, spreading across the entire server. He could be doing all this for just one pearl, and he’d have to do this over and over again for the rest of them.
Nuke shots, stab shots, whatever shots bro, as long as he still has any, he’ll keep on spamming them until he runs out. He will literally go back to the farlands mid-fight if he has to, he genuinely could not care less right now.
How is he still alive right now?
And of course Flame found a way to counter his orbitals, he’s not stupid. He already knows to hide in corners when there’s a nuke shot, of course he’ll figure out how to use obsidian to counter his freaking stab shots, and NOW, he has to go in and start macing him because if he doesn’t win this, it’s over.
If he doesn’t win, Egg’s going to get banned off the server, and at this point, if that actually happens, he should just go ban himself off, too.
Because what is the point of playing if Egg’s not there with him?
Sure, there would be no more Egg hostage situations, no more using Egg to get to him, and no more using him as a weapon. He could be free as a bird, the biggest bird, he might add-
Genuinely shut up bro, oh my god, this is serious, do you not realize that?
But then why would he even log on? Egg’s not there, and what would keep him playing? Flame? Beefing and dueling with him 24/7 is not his ideal life, thank you very much.
He’s not close with Parrot, either, or Spoke. Jaden, sure, but how often does he even get to see him?
Even if he somehow gets his life back together and manages to win this duel, who’s stopping Yungy from just straight up betraying and telling Arachn1d what they did? He knows that Yungy is still somewhat mad at him for climbing the ranks that fast, and he himself also knows it’s kinda not fair because the only reason he’s the second-in-command is because of favoritism and the fact that he wields the most powerful weapons on the Unstable SMP. If you took his mace and orbitals away from him, he really was just another random NPC on the street.
Wow. Flame might actually right about that.
And of course in the one fight where there’s a ceiling he doesn’t have Crucible. Where even is Crucible, anyways? Did Egg lose it or is it in his ender chest?
You know what, why can’t he just blow through the ceiling?
And Flame was restocking again, how much stuff does this guy even have?
When will this fight end?
He instinctively started a stunslam, but then he realized-
“Oh, I don’t have an axe in my hotbar, that’s AWESOME-”
He swears he hasn’t been this frustrated since dealing with Boosfer in the underworld, the green……something hybrid (he genuinely has no idea) spouting 67s every few minutes.
Spamming rockets to take off again, his other hand wielding Gambit, he realized just how sore his arms were from the constant macing. It took all his strength to not just straight up drop Gambit. How embarrassing would that be?
This duel was done, right? Flame was stuck in cobweb suspended over the void, and he didn’t have an elytra. One mace attack and he’d fall in, death banned forever.
But did he really want to death ban him?
“I’ll save you if you promise to take me to Egg’s stasis pearls.” He offered.
But of course the immortal demon didn’t have that stupid title for nothing, and in the blink of an eye he had speared over to the side of wherever the hell they were and cobwebbed himself, placing three ender chests to ensure he wouldn’t fall and placed water to get back up.
He just wanted the fight to stop. He’s exhausted, wings feeling like they were going to fall off, and oh, he was stuck in another cobweb. He wasn’t even trying to win anymore, he was trying to lose, flying into every cobweb Flame placed, missing his mace attacks, hoping that Flame could finally realize that something was wrong and that he genuinely wasn’t in the mood for a 1v1 and end this so that he could just go find Egg’s stasis pearls.
He wasn’t even trying to get out, just standing in the cobweb while Flame was gapping beside him.
Why does this feel like some sort of fly-in-a-web symbolism?
Because it was, it is, and even if it seemed like he was making his own decisions, even if it looked like he was free, he wasn’t. He was the fly, and Arachn1d was the spider spinning the web, for they have Eggchan, and he would destroy the world for him if he asked.
“Why are you fighting me while drained? Are you stupid? Just go get some water!”
And where the hell was he going to get water in this stupid upside-down forest biome? His only option right now was to drain FlameFrags, but how was he going to do that? Ugh, he should’ve just gotten water when Flame was trying to not fall into the void.
“You’re doing zero damage. You’re literally doing zero damage!”
Does he think that Wemmbu doesn’t know that? Of course he knows that, being both physically and mentally drained, arms feeling like he couldn’t lift Gambit up for another attack, wings currently no better than the elytra on life support in his inventory, and with the most depressing thoughts he’s ever had in his entire life running through his head like a slideshow that switched to the next page every two seconds.
“Like, you can go and fly away and restock, you can do anything.”
He sure didn’t feel like he could.
He landed on the ground, or leaves, whatever counted as ground here, and wind bursted back into the air, launching another useless attack on Flame.
“THAT DOES ZERO DAMAGE!”
He knows.
“Are you even trying?”
No.
“Just stop. Just, literally, just-holy, bro. Yeah, now you’re just landing in the same-okay, nice, bro.”
“Dude, I was going to give you the pearls whether you won or not.”
Wemmbu almost fell out of the air when he processed what Flame had said.
“I just wanted a fight, but clearly that’s not even what I’m getting right now.”
Wait, what?
“Like, what are you even doing? I know this is not what you would call a fight.”
He honestly didn’t know what he was doing, either.
“You were going to give me the pearls back regardless…?”
He couldn’t keep this disbelief out of his voice.
“YES, I was going to give you the pearls back regardless!”
Wemmbu genuinely felt like he was going to cry hearing that.
“Like, I know we’re rivals and all, right?”
“But I would also say we’re, like, friends, and you know, friends don’t, you know, ban each other’s friends. That’s not really what friends do.”
“I just wanted a duel, bro. That’s…that’s just really it.”
“But if you’re not going to give me that type of fight, then what are we even doing? I’m just wasting my resources, honestly.”
Wemmbu’s heart plummeted.
“So, you’re keeping the pearls…?”
How was he gonna find them in time? He’s gotta head back to the Cave Civ soon, or he feels like something bad is going to happen, and luck has never been on his side. What if Arachn1d had summoned him but he wasn’t there? He’s sense something was wrong, figure out what they were up to and then-
“Look, you can have the pearls.”
Okay, he was really going to cry tears of joy now.
“But you gotta promise me someday, we’ll do an actual fight where you’re actually trying?”
I promise, Flame. I promise.
"Yeah.”
