Work Text:
A figure can be seen standing at the edge of the Jaden sea, the vibrant green waves lapping at their bare feet. The soft morning light is illuminating them, softly accenting their light hair and creating a contrast with their dark clothes. A light breeze ruffles some rogue strands of hair. The figure absentmindedly reaches upwards to tuck the strands back behind their ear.
As the figure turns away from the sea, it becomes visible that they are strongly feminine-presenting. The woman chews on her lower lip for a moment, her gray eyes focused on the moss-covered stones under her feet. She runs a hand through her hair before taking off to a path leading up the cliffs, carving the way to a small house set atop the rocky terrain. She walks slowly, taking her time to inspect some smaller plants and animals along the way, tearing up some flowers to make a small bouquet.
As she nears the house, the path turns from dirt to rough rocks and then to a paved pathway. The woman takes a last look at the bouquet she’s holding before heading inside the house. She opens the dark oak door and enters, the smell of fresh coffee and bread hitting her immediately. She sets down the flowers and closes the door, taking her time to change her shoes to a more comfortable variant, taking the flowers back and heading to the kitchen.
There awaits her a sight she could never tire of: her partner for life making breakfast, moving around the space comfortably and humming a sweet tune to herself. She steps up to her, setting the flowers on the table and hugging her from behind. She nuzzles her head into her neck comfortably.
“I brought you flowers,” she mumbles softly. The other figure chuckles, taking her attention from the stove for a few moments. She turns around in the other’s hug and presses a quick kiss to her lips.
“Again? Well, thank you. You’re so sweet, darling.” She gives a sweet smile and glances at the flowers on the table. “Anyway, I’m almost done with the breakfast. Would you like some?” The first figure nods appreciatively, taking a seat at the table, making casual conversation with the other.
