Alice will finally get what she want today.Not a blissful family reunion,but the sweetest revenge to her siste But certainly,there's something out of plan
She's at Kate's house as she stared at the woman in front of her.Big eyes,high cheekbones and a defined jawline,the woman is unmistakably Alice herself. Only kinder,softer.The unbroken Beth Kane from another universe.
Alice laughed bitterly.She watched Beth's bewildered expression,just like a lamb
It's time to teach this sweet girl some hard lessons,sl thought.
So she flipped her dagger out in a swift motion,then with two quick steps,pointed the blade right at Beth's throat
And Alice had to admit, the frightened look on her rface is quite enjoyable.However,the look only lasted a second before being replaced by a calm disguise."I know what you've been through,"Beth spoke,her voice firm."I understand..."
"You don't know a fucking thing,"Alice snapped,"You think you could understand me?Save me,bring me back to normal?Aw...that's so sweet."
Beth took a breath,"I'm not trying to change you into something you're not,Alice.And you're not the villain everyone thinks. You're the victim of this tragedy Alice curled her lips as she leaned in closer,the blade still at Beth's throat."Mm...who's the big bad guy then? You're such an innocent one...I'd be ashamed to say this is me from another verse.
"The men who took you,tortured you,they are the reason for your suffering-
"Them?"Alice laughed out loud at the
absurdity,"Oh,they're nothing compared to my dea sister...Are you shocked to hear this,sweet Beth?That the villain in my story is your generous friend,our great vigilante?I'll tell you...she's the one who destroyed my life.Our brave sister can save everyone in Gotham,but she never saved me.The figure of your worshipping is nothing but a memory of pain to me."She looked into Beth's big brown eyes,and saw something she couldn't interpret.Sympathy,maybe?She decided it didn't matter.Playtime is over.
"Well,enough chit-chatting,don't you think?"She didn't wait for an answer, flipping the blade even
closer,touching Beth's soft throat."I wonder what my justice-personified sister will do when she saw your dead body...don't worry,I'll make this super special for her.In case she forgot what I can do.
To Alice's surprise,Beth didn't react.Her breath was even,her delicate face only inches from Alice's,forming some strange intimacy.
Alice flashed a deadly smile."Darling...any last words? I'll take them to my sister."
"Actually, I do,"Beth lowered her eyes sadly."Ask
yourself,Alice.Deep down,aren't you still that little gir from before?It's not Kate's fault,not even your fault that everything went to this. We have always cared about you."She paused,a strand of curly hair falling beside her left eye,making her look like a damsel in distress.Only that she didn't seem scared at all."Yes,Alice.. I know how you crave to be seen,to be loved. You have all the love,if you just try to see it.Believe me..."She sighed,not finishing the sentence
Alice hesitated.Love,what a strange word.It sounds even stranger,hearing this from a better version of
herself.She doesn't know if Beth meant those words,or was just manipulating her, trying not to be
killed.However,Alice thought,if there's one thin g they have in common,it's they're both not afraid of dying Then maybe Beth really cares about her,for some unknown honorable reason.A reason Alice can't figure out yet.
So before she can figure it out,killing Beth Kane doesn't look like an elegant plot for Alice's storybook.She dropped the dagger
Also,this brunette is not a bad companion to talk with,she said to herself.
