Chapter Text
Weddings were romantic on paper and truly Charles couldn’t complain about his wedding coming up. But in all the romance movies that he liked to watch, the characters often forgot to mention two things : first the price of said wedding was astronomical and second, the hell that it was to organize from the tables to the venue to … well everything.
Add the fact that gay marriage was still not allowed in Monaco or Italy and you were faced with another problem. Enhance why picking Greece was the best of choice. It was for sure warm, the sea was beautiful and since 2024, homosexuals were allowed to marry there. It had been a win win.
As for the money, well, Charles had been glad that he and Pierre were both successful actors because the expenses could put people in debt. Well, the kind of people that were dumb enough to go in debt for a grand wedding at least.
But the true problem with this wedding was the table setting. Because x couldn’t go with y and a wanted absolutely to go with c. That was the kind of problem they had been facing and were still facing even if it was only a few days before the wedding. Facing said problem even when the guests were starting to arrive. In three words ? It was hell.
Enhance why Charles was currently sitting on Pierre’s lap, facing a board and sitting on the bed of the nuptial room. Perhaps it was a bit too soon but the huge house that they rented hadn’t left them the choice anyway.
Charles was resting his head on Pierre’s shoulder and sighing from time to time, wondering how the hell would they solve this. He rubbed his hand on his face, relaxing further in his future husband’s arms as the other kissed his temple carefully. Which made Charles sighed slowly and he turned his head, kissing his cheek.
“Come on.” Charles said, trying to get up but Pierre just tightened his hold. “Okay,” He chuckled and he bumped his nose against the Frenchman's. “We need to finish that, calamar. Come on.” He pulled up his fiance who just clung to him, arms around his waist. “You’re so clingy. I love you.” He leaned against his promised and stared at the home made board.
“What if we just put Sebastian between Nico and Lewis ?” Pierre finally said, his chin resting on Charles’ shoulder and his blue eyes tracking every name on the board. “If they have someone between them they won’t fight, will they ?” He caressed Charles’ back, the Monegasque shivering undering the tender touch of his future husband.
Charles let out a sharp laugh and turned to watch Pierre with widened eyes. “Mon amour, most of the time I love your ideas but right now it’s so stupid.” He chuckled softly, covering his mouth and trying not to mock him too much. “You do know that Sebastian is one of the reasons both of them divorced, right ?” He smiled as Pierre tilted his head to kiss him.
Pierre groaned, throwing his head backward and looking up at the board. “True. This jealousy … And it was stupid since Sebastian and Kimi are bringing the kids of the orphanage anyway. Knowing Seb, he would prefer to look over them for no mischief to happen. Remember how Kimi Jr. and Ollie behaved last time we came.”
Charles chuckled softly, remembering indeed the mischief that both boys had planned. But fond memories weren’t bringing them the perfect settings chart. He said “I cannot do that to poor Jannik. He is already coming alone and he doesn’t deserve to sit between Lewis and Nico.” He played with a small lock of Pierre’s ear, the one behind his ear that always spiked a bit.
Pierre turned to watch him and said “What do you mean ? You didn’t see ? Jannik answered our card and the little ‘plus one’ case was checked.” He chuckled at the face that Charles made because what ? Charles had been sure of one thing, one of his best friends was clearly not dating anyone. Except if he had and had hidden it ?
“Oh no …” Charles whined and sighed. “I didn’t see that and now we have a new name to add. This is gonna be a joke.” He rubbed his face with his hand and then when he looked back, it was like a tilt came in his head. “If I were a bit proud I would say Eureka but I think I have the perfect sitting.” He smiled and grabbed the marker.
With a confident step, Charles stepped in front of the board and wrote the names next to the -not so well drawn- chairs and then backed up with a smile. “Lando and Oscar with Lewis, Jenson, Fernando and Nico because like that they will have to communicate to get to know each other. Then Jannik and his plus one with George, Alex, Max and Daniel.”
He saw the face that Pierre made behind him and he said “Wait, wait ! Hear me out on this. Yes Max and George dated when they were in high school but it’s finished now. And Alex and Daniel are so nice that whoever comes with Jannik will feel welcomed and with a bit of luck the two joyful will stop the possible conflicts.”
Charles saw the moment when Pierre was convinced because his boyfriend smiled in a way that made Charles instantly go crazy. “Oh my god, don’t look at me like that Pierre Gasly or we both know where we will end up and it won’t be next to the setting chart.” Despite his face, he didn’t resist when Pierre pulled him toward the bed.
“I could have you against this setting board.” Pierre said with another loving grin. “But we both prefer the bed. Right Mr Charles future Gasly ?” He dragged Charles above him and the Monegasque felt the flutter in his stomach. “Or should I call myself Pierre Leclerc ?” His hands slipped on Charles’ thighs and the former smiled.
“Oh you are a tease !” Charles whispered, tugging Pierre’s necklace to drag him in a slow kiss. When he pulled back, he cheekily added “What about Charles Gasly Leclerc ?” He smiled and nuzzled their noses together. “And Pierre Gasly Leclerc ? I think it sounds very good, don’t you think ?” And he saw the way his future husband almost ripped his clothes out of him.
Which explained why Charles purposefully stood up and got away from Pierre’s lap. He said “What was I saying ?” He tilted his head, grabbing the marker and hiding his huge smile when he heard his boyfriend’s groan. “Come on Calamar !” He chuckled. “We don’t have the time for you to be lazy and in love with me.”
Charles turned around, laughing as Pierre gently pinned him against the bookshelf of the room. “Pierre Gasly !” He gasped and smiled, pecking his boyfriend’s lip. “Should we put your mother next to mine ?” He squirmed between his hands and he threw his head backward, leaving a free access for his favorite Frenchman to slowly kiss his neck in a way that screamed of worship and pure amazing love.
“Oh my god.” Pierre groaned against his throat. “Way to kill a mood, thank you very much.” He shook his head and gently pushed himself back on the bed. “Yes fine. We put our mothers’ together and we put Arthur alongside the kids.”
Charles threw a pillow at him. “No, no, no !” He laughed hard. “My little brother is not a kid.” He pecked his cheek and sprawled himself on him. “He’ll go with your brothers.” He poked Pierre’s ribs with a shake of his head. “And I’ll tell him you said that !” He kissed his boyfriend and then pulled back.
“As if he would believe you.” Pierre laughed harder, in a way that was both unsexy and … well very hot. Who could have a laugh that was a mix between a hyena and a seagull but still look beautiful while doing that ? Apparently his future husband. “Little brother assembly !” He looked up at Charles. “He will always believe in me because I never pranked him.” He hooked his thumbs in Charles’ belt and dragged him for another kiss.
“Traitor …” Charles whispered before kissing Pierre and letting the other slowly unzip his pants. He smiled into the kiss and gently slipped his hands under Pierre’s shirt, finding the abs that he so much loved. “I can’t believe I am marrying you while you are a traitor. You should just have married Art at this point.”
Pierre chuckled in the kiss, his hands slipping under Charles’ pants in a teasing gesture. “Well … Don’t say that. I only want you and your weird fashion taste …” He was going to keep going about it but Charles shut him up by kissing him again.
“Keep that for our wedding vows.” Charles whispered slowly, taking off Pierre’s shirt. “For now, I think I want to have an amazing discussion with your abs.” He winked and Pierre laughed even harder, both of them smiling at each other.
