Diamond's guide to ignoring your issues

Summary:

Before any universe was created, before the first actual pokemon, before time and space have been mastered, three kids figure out their way to exist inside the Hall Of Origin.

Or

I have a lotttt of headcannons about the creation trio °_°

Notes:

Most of these are headcannons, and this fic is tied to my other fanfiction.
Also this was supposed to be full angst at first but I changed it to fluff lol!

Work Text:

Diamond shifts around before finally sitting up on his bed, he turns around and finds his sister kneeling besides his bed looking up at him, shes been poking him for about ten minutes already, what does she want?

— Morning...

He mutters groogly, rubing his eyes with the back of his hands. Its hard not falling back asleep, the air in the Hall Of Origin is always cold and his bed feels so fluffy and warm right now.

— Morning, me and Platinum baked cookies. Come eat!

She giggles, her voice is quieter than usual, Diamond thinks that he prefers it that way, lesser chance of a headache.

He nods and push himself of the bed, Pearl scrambles out of his room for him to change out of his pajamas.

He always liked challenges, but having the custom of a repetitive routine is always a blessing.

His pajamas are folded nicely and placed it their respective drawer, and the fresh pair of clothes he put on sit perfectly on his body.

Perfect, just like everything else around the Hall, perfect like the way everything keeps its pristine white even when him and his siblings try to make a mess, perfect like the way nothing seem to wrinkle or twist in a non aestheticly pleasing way.

Perfect like the curves of his sisters hair that always seem to never not frame her face in that nice way he finds cute.

Perfect just like how his brother's hat always looks well placed in his head in the way that make Diamond thinks makes him look thought out.

Father made sure everything around the Hall was, is and will stay, perfect.

He pushes down the feeling of uncanny that always creeps up his throat everytime he thinks about how everything around him looks way too put in place.

He kinda wishes he could make a mess.

Diamond pushes open his door and head to the kitchen.

The Hall Of Origin was always big, it looks like it was made to fit more than just three young children and their father, when He wanted to appear at least.

The corridors stretch wide.

Diamond is sure Pearl would be able to tell him how long the one he is at is, but for now he will have to deal with counting his steps to figure it out.

The eerie silence that always acompany the vaccum of the Palace is normal, but the little boy cant help but wish it was replaced by loud sounds and laughters from his siblings. Father always said that he concentrates better in silent places, but Diamond thinks he just said that to not have to deal with their noises.

He knows Pearl loves singing, he finds it annoying she cant because it will upset their father.

At least father doesnt complain about the smell of paint, that seemed to stuck to Platinun after so many nights awake finishing his arts.

... Diamond missed count of his steps.

At least he got to the kitchen doors.

He can hear murmuring on the other side.

He hates how the doors make no sound when moved, he wishes they would creak, maybe after he and his siblings finished learning about their powers he could ask Platinum or Pearl to add sound to the doors. That would be nice.

— Morning, Diamond.

Platinum calls out, Diamond likes how monotone his voice sounds. Nice break from the jolly and gigglly sound from his sister's voice.

Tho he wishes Platinum would smile more.

He hates how that thought makes him feel like his father.

— Morning.

He goes to grab a cookie on top of the kitchen counter.

He smiles a little noticing he can now reach it without standing on his tippy toes.

He likes the joy of nice change.

— What are we doing today?

He asks, Pearl jumps in to awnser,

— Father told Platinum to start working of the grass types!

Diamond hums in return and Platinum comes to bring him a sketchbook.

— We decided it shall be weak to poison, ice, flying, fire and insect. And strong against ground, rock and water.

Platinum's accent scratches his brain very nicely.

Diamond nods, and picks the plate of cookies to bring it over to their usual "brainstorming spot", as they so call it.

...The walk to their favorite tree is more enjoyable than Diamond's walk to the kitchen.

Diamond guesses it feels that way because now there is company, and company equals noise.

He is starting to conclude he hates silence.

Pearl sprints up the small hill and throws herself agaist the soft grass, this is one of the only spots that father decided to bless with color.

It is their favorite spot.

The tree reigns as nicely as it always have.

Its multiple fruits not allowing the sickly white of the morning sky to get to their skin.

Platinum says that not every tree should be like this one, "It has way too much diversity of fruits." He always states, but Diamond thinks the contrary as he places the plate down on the grass to try and reach for a rawst berry, he wishes there were more berrys.

...He really likes rawst berries.

— I was thinking about this!

Pearl shows both of them a little drawing of a quadrupedal being, with a bulb of sorts on its back.

— It is a old sketch, but we could color it green and call it a " Bulbasaur"! It has a bulb that could open into a flower, it can be plant type!

Platinum nods before opening his own book and doodling around for a bit before showing to them a similar animal, this time with a open bulb of and bigger porpotions.

— Ivysaur.

He states whitout giving any other information about the being.

Diamond nods,

— Two evo line?

He questions.

Platinum and Pearl look at eachother for a bit before turning to him and shaking their heads.

So full line it is.

Diamond acknoledges that none of his sibling know what to name the third being yet, so he steps in,

— I propose Venosaur. Could make it poison aswell.

Pearl lights up at the name, Platinum seem to only get interested on the typing.

— I like that! Ok, me and Platinum thought one line out, your turn.

She declares.

Diamond nods and picks up a pen and his own worn out book with missing and extra added pages.

He doesnt know what to do at first, it hard figuring out new pokemons, he is better with evolution lines and extra forms.

One day, Diamond will make Platinum agree with his mega evolution idea.

Then he gets a idea and starts sketching. He dulls out the convo his siblings are having in front of him, only catching glimpses of what could have one made sense, something to do with "legendary" and something called "Virizion".

He finishes his initial idea, its a cute, small little green thing, with three petals of sorts on its head, he decides to call it Petilil.

Get it? Petal-little! Heh, he is very funny!

Diamond thinks the little thing would smell nicely.

— Finished.

He turns his book around when both his siblings' attention are on him.

— Oh my moon! Thats adorable!

— I like it.

— I think it should smell nice. Imma call it Petilil.

Pearl simply continues cooing at the cute drawing but Platinum seem to get the pun and giggles a little.

Diamond wishes to see him giggle more.

— Does it evolve?

Pearl asks, finally handing him his book back.

— It should, it looks way too small to be thrown into the wild.

That makes Diamond think, it does look weak and fragile, he didnt think about evolving it but it is probably for the best.

— Imma think of something.

He declares.

... He did in fact not think of anything.

Diamond thought out a few vage ideas but nothing concrete.

Even as the sky darkened and its whites turned into darker greys he couldnt think of anything.

Its not even a block in his ideas, he thought out many other pokemon just fine!

Voltorb, Electrode, Hoppip, Skiploom, Seedot, Cacnea, Budew, Cottonee, and many others!

They were all his ideas!

So why is Petilil such a exception?

Diamond wonders what he should do with the tiny pokémon.

Pearl had been so kind as to give him one to look at for the night, but he still cant think of anything!

The small petilil in his hands coo softly, tilting its head at him.

— I know buddy... but how do you evolve?

Diamond finally reaches his room, opening the door just enough to slip inside.

His sketchbook is placed and forgotten on his desk, as he goes to lay down on the soft sheets of his bed.

He never noticed how big it actually was before placing Petilil on it.

The young boy hums and plays with the tiny pokemon's petals before sighing.

Maybe he should just scratch this one and maybe save it for a later typing...

Petilil suddently chirps at him, dragging his attention back to it.

— Do you want anything lil' guy?

He hates how his accent sounds on the nickname...

It chirps and jumps down the bed heading to his desk.

— Woah! Careful there!

Diamond gets off the matress, going after it. The Petilil jumps excitely trying to reach a higher drawer on his desk.

— This one? Okay...

The young boy picks the Petilil up and sets it on the desk, he opens the drawer the pokemon wanted and stare at the multiple differently colored stones inside it.

— Which one?

He questions.

The Petilil comes closer to the edge of the desk, peaking inside the drawer, it chirps happily when it sees a sun stone.

Diamond reaches and sets it on the desk right next to the small pokemon.

It chirps and moves from side to side beside the rock.

— Heh, you like it?

Diamond rests his head on his left arm and lays on the desk.

The petilil coos at him.

The young boy giggles,

— You are like a tiny ballerina, hehe.

...

... A ballerina...

You know what? He can use that.

A few loose pages fall to the ground at how fast Diamond opens his sketchbook and maps something out.

He can almost perfectly vision what he wants to convey.

He can imagine the pokemon's legs and torso and its evolution method.

Diamond decides to call it Liligant!

...

The sky is white again, and, as Pearl walks through the halls, she can hear faint echos of her brother's voice.

Diamond is in the kitchen, she concludes.

The door doesnt creak as she open it, but it does bring Diamond's attention to her.

Much to her confusion, behind him stands a tall pokemon, it has long legs and is posed like a ballerina.

— Who is this gal?

She asks and is taken aback by how excitely her brother anwsers.

— Its a Liligant! It evolves from Petilil! Im waiting for Platinum to wake up so that I can ask him to give her flower crown a nice smell! Aint she beatiful?!

Oh so thats where the pokemon came from!

The Liligant, as he so calls it, comes closer to Pearl and bows gently before spinning.

— She looks amazing! How did you make it evolve tho?

...

The anwser doesnt come, and as she turns to her sibling she can see the gears turning in his head.

— ...Wait... How did I make it evolve??

They stare at eachother for a while before bursting out laughing.

— Did you really just get a power boost and not notice it?!

Pearl manages through her laughter.

— I DONT KNOW!

Diamond cries out.

Bettween them a very confused Liligant decides that its her time to nap.
