Marvel: Gwen found me first

Summary:

Ethan Walker never expected to wake up inside the Marvel Universe.
No powers. No system. No destiny.
Just money, fame, and the knowledge of everything that was about to happen.
Then the system finally awakened.
Daily rewards.
A growing Kryptonian body.
And enough power to rival gods.
But before aliens, Avengers, and world-ending threats arrived...
Gwen Stacy collapsed at his front door.

Chapter Text

“In fact…
I am Iron Man.”

The moment Tony Stark said those words in front of countless cameras, the entire world exploded into chaos.

And sitting alone in his living room, Ethan Walker couldn’t help smiling as he watched the press conference on TV.

Even after three years in this world, seeing that iconic scene with his own eyes still felt unreal.

Marvel.

An actual living Marvel Universe.

No matter how many times he reminded himself, it still sounded insane.

Three years ago, an accident had dragged Ethan into this world.

At first, he thought he’d gotten lucky.

Transmigration. A second life. A chance to become special.

But reality hit hard.

There was no cheat system waiting for him.
No godlike superpower.
No mutant awakening.
No glowing golden finger to save him from danger.

He was just… ordinary.

Well, mostly ordinary.

The only thing he inherited after arriving in this world was a massive estate and enough money to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

But in a universe where aliens invaded New York every other week and psychopaths in metal suits leveled cities for fun, money alone didn’t exactly make someone feel safe.

Then, a few weeks ago, everything changed.

Right around the time Tony Stark disappeared in Afghanistan, Ethan finally awakened his system.

A Sign-In System.

Simple and straightforward.

Every day he signed in, he would receive a random reward.

Some rewards were useless.

Some were bizarre.

And a few… were terrifyingly powerful.

Over the past few weeks, he had collected things like:

* A driving skill that somehow guaranteed he’d never crash while steering with one hand.
* Advanced culinary techniques capable of turning ordinary meals into gourmet masterpieces.
* Expert-level medical knowledge.
* A candle that could never burn out.
* And most importantly…

The Silver Superman Template.

That reward alone completely changed Ethan’s outlook on life.

This was Marvel.

Being an ordinary civilian here was practically a death sentence.

One bad day and you could get crushed by debris during a superhero battle you had nothing to do with.

But Silver Superman?

That was different.

Even though Ethan had only begun absorbing solar energy recently and hadn’t fully unlocked the template’s potential, the power already growing inside him was absurd.

And timing mattered.

Tony Stark had only just revealed himself as Iron Man.

Captain America was still frozen somewhere in the Arctic.

Thanos—the purple alien nightmare waiting in the shadows—was still light-years away from Earth.

By the time that monster arrived…

Ethan was confident he could erase him with a single punch.

Not because he wanted to be a hero.

Honestly?

He just didn’t like gambling on a fifty-percent survival rate.

As for becoming some righteous savior of humanity…

Yeah, no thanks.

Living peacefully with unlimited money sounded a lot better.

And speaking of money—

Ethan glanced at the financial channel and grinned.

As a transmigrator, exploiting information gaps between worlds was practically mandatory.

During the years before his system awakened, Ethan had quietly built an empire.

Every famous story, movie, and novel that didn’t exist in this universe became his opportunity.

The Lord of the Rings.
Harry Potter.
Resident Evil.
Terminator.

One after another, Ethan adapted and released them under his own name.

Now, he was one of the most famous authors in America.

Possibly the world.

And recently, he had invested heavily in Stark Industries stock before Tony’s public reveal.

Looking at the rapidly climbing graph on the TV screen, Ethan chuckled.

“Experts really are all the same.”

Just days ago, financial analysts were calling Stark Industries a sinking ship.

Now they were praising Tony Stark like a visionary genius.

The stock price shot upward like a rocket.

And Ethan’s wealth skyrocketed with it.

Money. Power. Security.

Life was good.

Then he suddenly remembered something.

“Oh right. I haven’t signed in today.”

He leaned back on the couch.

A mechanical notification echoed in his mind.

[Sign-In Successful.]

[Reward Obtained: Superpower Suppression Field.]

Ethan immediately sat upright.

“Oh?”

[Superpower Suppression Field: A deployable field capable of suppressing superhuman abilities within a designated area. Mutant powers, magic, enhanced abilities, and similar supernatural forces will become unusable unless exempted by the host.]

Ethan’s eyes widened.

“This is… ridiculously useful.”

Especially in Marvel.

Mutants existed here too.

And some of them were walking disasters.

A grin slowly spread across his face.

“Perfect.”

Without hesitation, Ethan walked to the center of the living room and placed his hand against the floor.

The next second, an invisible wave expanded outward from his body.

Silently.

Smoothly.

The suppression field spread across the entire estate.

At that exact moment—

Outside the manor gates, a blonde girl in a black school uniform walked unsteadily down the road.

Her hand absentmindedly touched the back of her neck.

“It’s weird…”

She frowned softly.

“I swear something bit me last night.”

And not just anything.

The spider looked disturbingly similar to one of Oscorp’s genetically modified specimens.

But now the wound was gone.

Not even a mark remained.

Before she could think further, a crushing sensation suddenly gripped her chest.

Her breathing stopped.

Her body weakened instantly.

“What…?”

Fear flashed across her face.

“Was the spider poisonous…?”

Dizzy and barely conscious, she stumbled toward the nearest house she could find.

The manor gates.

She pressed the doorbell with trembling fingers.

“Help…”

The moment the word left her lips, darkness swallowed her whole.

Inside the manor, Ethan exhaled in satisfaction after finishing the field deployment.

“Done.”

Then the doorbell rang.

“Hm?”

He walked toward the entrance and opened the gates.

The moment he stepped outside, he froze.

A girl was lying unconscious on the ground.

Without hesitation, Ethan crouched down and carefully turned her over.

The moment he saw her face clearly, he blinked in surprise.

Short blonde hair.

Sharp yet delicate features.

A school uniform that made her look both youthful and strikingly beautiful.

And instantly, a familiar name appeared in his mind.

Gwen Stacy.

Ethan stared silently for a moment before letting out an incredulous laugh.

“…No way.”

He looked down at the unconscious girl in his arms.

“Did I seriously just pick up Gwen Stacy outside my front door?”
