The Heir of Dagmeare is an Omega

Summary:

In the secret library, Scott and Pyro are both searching for any kind of information they can get. A heated argument soon turns into a truth being revealed.

Work Text:

Pryo grunts as he is slammed against the bookshelf. He lifts his gaze towards Scott with a small smirk. "Did I hit a nerve?" He chuckles at the growing sneer on Scott's face. "You're so easy to-" He gasps when the ice 'prince' leans in to sniff at his neck. "Hey! What the fuck are you doing?!"

"I knew it." Scott pulls away with a grunt. "You are an omega." He backs away from Dagmeare while standing tall to tower over him. Pyro's eyes slightly widen with anger slowly consuming him. His face scrunches up as he pushes Scott away. "You won't tell anyone about this!" He took a step forward so he wasn't against the bookshelf. "Oh?" Scott raised a brow with an amused smile. "You don't want me to tell everyone that the Mighty Heir of Dagmeare is secretly an omega?" He lifts a hand to his chin to pretend to be in thought. "Wouldn't that put you at risk?"

Pyro furrows his brows with his teeth bared like a dog. "What are you-?"

"I mean omegas pose a high risk." Scott starts to circle Pyro as a chill leaves him like a cloud of smoke. Pyro watches him with his hands clenched up into fists. Smoke emits from his mouth with small sparks of fire. He was ready to attack this pompous-

Scott grabs him by the throat while allowing the cold to emit from the tips of his fingers to chill Pyro out. "I won't tell anyone. Relax." He only lets go of him when he sees the smoke go away. "I do want you to promise that, if you ever go into heat, you come straight to me." He couldn't help the worry that appeared on his face. "I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you."

Pyro scoffs while his gaze avert from his childhood friend. "I was planning on doing that anyways." He crossed his arms across his chest with his eyes falling closed. "You're the only one I can trust, sadly."

Scott laughs with his head turning to look around the library. His smile faltered when he had a revelation about this whole ordeal. "You presented out of Tegrith." He turns his head to look back at him. "Don't you know how dangerous that is?" He reached out to grab his shoulder only for it to be smacked away. Pyro sneers at him with his shoulders bunched up. "I was perfectly fine." He pushes past Scott to get out of where he was cornered. "You won't be able to get the folk flame passed down to you." Scott spoke firmly while following after him.

Pyro kept walking with his fists clenched up into a fist. "Shut up about that." He doesn't want to hear about the definite truth. "This is serious Pyro! You know it is forbidden to present your secondary gender out of Tegrith! You won't be able to-"

"Shut the fuck up!" Pyro swiftly turns to glare at him. He raised a finger to poke it against his chest. "I don't want to hear about it from you!" He waves a hand while turning back around to leave the library now. "I'm heading to bed, Boralith." He walks off with his head down, coughing up black smoke from the fire he was forced to put out earlier. This whole situation was so stupid. He has to receive the folk flame. The amount of stories he can provide, and the ones he can tell from his ancestors. He can't- No, he won't lose this.

It had been a few weeks after his encounter with Scott.

Pyro, admittedly, was relieved that atleadt someone knows about his.. dilemma. Even if it is that pompous little idiot. Yes he knows Scott's taller, but he'll always be small to him.

He was heading to the entrance of the academy when it hit him. A pulse of heat, unlike his fire magic, courses through his abdomen. His whole body started to feel like he was actively on fire. He nearly collapsed to the floor when sudden pain accompanied the heat. He leant against a wall with his eyes scanning the room he was in currently. He was in the hallway that led to the stairs. The stairs that led to the main entrance. "Fuck me.." He groans with his eyes falling closed for a moment.

He was far from his dorm, and didn't think far ahead to take his suppressants with him. Gods why was he so stubborn? He slowly turns his head to look at Cindermeare. An idea popped in his head as he sinks to the floor. He gets it out of the bag he carries it in. A strike from its claws semi alarms the rider, but he has a job for it it to do. "Not now, Cindermeare. I need you to go get Scott." He sets it down on the ground before him. Cindermeare stares at its rider for a long moment. A small noise of being torn between protecting its owner and fetching the ice cream guy.

"You know Scott." Pyro gasps as a sudden pain ripples through his body. He screwed his eyes shut with a scoff. "You like him, so go get him for me. Please."

Cindermeare huffs out some smoke from its nose before turning around to run off. Pyro leans against the wall, hoping no one comes by and sees him like this. He knows he is definitely giving off some sort of scent. Gods why did he have to be born an Omega?

Scott exits his dorm with a soft hum. He decided to go out for a walk to get his mind off of things. His eyes trail over to Pyro's dorm. The door was wide open with a mess inside the room. He sighs to himself, walking over to close the door for him. Just as he was about to turn around, he felt something collide into his leg. He looks down to see Cindermeare biting onto his pant leg. "Cindy?" He lifts his head up to look around the area. "Where is Pyro?" He looks down at them with worry wrinkling his features. Cindermeare is pulling on his pant leg, trying to get Scott to follow it.

"Lead the way, Cindy." Scott gestures for the dragon to get moving. He quickly follows after it when it starts to move. He wonders what exactly happened to the fire maniac. It had to be something serious for Pyro to send Cindermeare. So, maybe the idiot got injured. Maybe he went into he- Oh gods no.

Each step was a race to get to the omega first. The fear that someone found Pyro in such a vulnerable state terrifies him. He shouldn't care for him as much as he does, but old habits die hard.

Turning into a hall, he smelt Pyro's scent before he even saw the man. He took a step forward to be face to face with him. His instincts screaming at him to take care of the omega. Pyro looks up at him with a quiet whine. He could feel the frost emitting from Scott's body. A cooling sensation he wants to cover himself in. "Pyro?" Scott furrows his brows while leaning down to get a hold of the other. Pyro latches onto him in an instant while a shiver wrecks through his body. "Help.. Sc-Scott help.." He closed his eyes as he felt his body leave the ground.

Scott lifts Pyro in his arms with a soft sigh. He emits his own scent onto Pyro to mask his. To make sure anyone walking by will just smell Scott, and not the quivering omega in his arms. "I've got you. Relax for me please." He turns on a heel to start heading to their dorms. Pyro relaxed in his arms with his face hidden in Scott's neck. He's putting all his trust in this alpha.

Pyro looks up at Scott as he's laid in the ice mage's bed. He turns his head, sniffing all of Scott's scent. Scott undresses Pyro to only his boxers. He just wants the guy to get comfortable. He wasn't planning on taking advantage of him like this. As amusing as it is to see Pyro lose his composure. "Why don't I grab materials for a nest?" He proposed to the fire mage.

Pyro quickly grabs at Scott to prevent him from leaving. "No. Don't leave." He held onto him tightly. This was quite embarrassing, but his mind was running a mile. He needed the cold Scott's body provided.

Scott sighs with his gaze towards the ladder that led up here. He shook his head while removing some of his layers off of himself. "Alright, but when you're ready, we should get a proper nest up here for you." He lays down next to his childhood friend as he wraps his arms around him. "I also need to be able to send people away since you insist of faking this."

Pyro scoffs at him with a small whine. "Fuck you, Boralith."

"No thanks, Dagmeare." Scott chuckles before his face was smacked with a pillow.

This is going to be a long week.
