Ewron had quickly heard the news spreading about Katie’s newly wedded husbands sudden ‘death’ or ‘disappearance’ since no one really knew what happened to Tomate. One minute he was dancing the night away with Katie having the time of his life until a federation officer showed up and struck him with lightning to not be seen since.
Ewron obviously felt bad for Katie, she just lost the love of her life on the day that was supposed to be the happiest of her life! But Ewron knew, deep down he felt satisfied that Tomate was now gone and that he would have Katie all to himself again, with no distractions. Ewron has loved Katie way longer than Tomate! he just had more unconventional ways of showing it.. sabotaging was his love language! he finds it hilarious, even though she might get upset time to time, it doesn’t mean that she won’t sabotage him back! it’s just how they are. He didn’t need to crouch just to say he thinks she’s pretty, he could say it and more with actual words!
This was Ewrons chance, to win Katie over and make her forget all about Tomate.

Ewron giggled to himself quietly after coming up with an amazing plan to steal Katie’s heart! He knew exactly where Katie would be right now. Where else would be the best place to mourn the sudden loss of your husband? of course it would be where you had your first date with him and where you got proposed at!
Ewron rushed to his waystone and teleported to the date place. When he arrived Katie was sat on the floor looking out into the distance while holding onto what looked like a picture of Tomate. He could hear small sobs and sniffles from where he was stood, it broke his heart. Katie would never cry if she would’ve just married him..but no. Ewron started slowly approaching Katie to where she was sat.
“Bestie?” Ewron called out quietly. Katie didn’t turn to face him, she sighed and whispered back “hey bestie…” then let out another sob. Ewron quickly went over and sat down next to her. Katie looked up at him, there was wet mascara running down her oh so beautiful face. Ewron cradled her face gently with both of his palms and wiped her smudged mascara mixed with tears away with his thumbs. “Oh kochanie…” Ewron muttered. He then pulled her in closer, letting her place her head in the crook of his neck and cry as she wrapped her hands around his back tightly. He rocked her slowly while whispering quietly for her to let it all out.
After around 10minutes Katie had finally composed herself enough to be considered more or less stable. She pulled free of Ewrons grasp and sniffled one last time and looked up into his eyes. His heart ached. It felt terrible being apart from Katie, after he just held and shared such a vulnerable moment and hidden away part of herself, it was gone so suddenly.
“Thank you evie..for that. I just.. why? i miss my man so so much” Katie says while pulling her legs up to her chest and resting her head onto her arms.
“Of course, it’s what Besties do for eachother. I will always be here for you” And by always, Ewron means always. Even if lightning struck him down he would always come back for Katie. Another reason he was 10x better than Tomate but anyways. Katie smiles weakly at that comment. “I love you bestie” ewron whispers to her. “I love you too ev..” Ewron could tell Katie was beginning to feel the effects of her emotions crash down on her. She yawned softly, “kochanie, come on let’s get you to bed. You’ll feel better in the morning” ewron says while stroking the top of her hair gently. He hears a little sound coming from Katie which he took as an agreement. He hoisted her over his shoulder while she grumbles over the sudden movement but makes no attempt to free herself.

They arrive at katie’s ‘totally hidden’ underground house on Schlatts island,
“cmon we’re here now Katie let’s get you to bed..” Ewron says while dragging Katie over to her bed even though she’s groggily protesting on being able to do it herself. Which she is not because Ewron truly and fully believes she will just face plant the floor, which would be hilarious but not exactly the least painful for Katie. They arrive at her bed in the corner and Ewron sets her down onto it. Katie immediately takes her bun down to let her flowy auburn hair run down her shoulders, “mmh that feels so good” Katie moans while massaging where her hair was up.
Ewron was flabbergasted. He would be surprised if Katie couldn’t hear how fast his heart was beating right now.
“OKAY KATIE LETS GET YOU TO BED” Ewron quickly said as he kneeled down to remove katie’s heels that she had been wearing. After that, Katie got into her bed and made herself comfortable.“Bye Bestie i’ll see you tomorrow” Ewron said before starting to leave towards her trapdoor. “Wait!..stay with me, please. i don’t want to be alone.” Katie sheepishly admitted while looking anywhere but Ewron.
Ewron could never be happier. Inside of his mind he was jumping around and grinning ear to ear, just the thought of being to sleep in the same bed as Katie was AMAZING but actually being able to? holy shit. Today is a dream come true. “Of course kochanie!” Ewron said turning back around. He took off his shoes and his cloak and walked over to the other side of Katie’s bed and laid down with her. Katie pulled herself closer to Ewron and laid her head on his chest. Ewrons heart was about to go into cardiac arrest he said to himself.
“Thank you evie..and what does that new nickname even mean? it’s unfair.. i don’t understand..” Katie says while slowly drifting to sleep. “Ignore it, goodnight bestie.” Ewron says while gently stroking katie’s hair. After a couple minutes Katie falls fully asleep. Ewron takes this as his sign to sleep aswell, it’s going to be a long journey to help Katie but to also steal her heart, since she always had his. Ewron closed his eyes and softly kissed the top of Katie’s head before then also being consumed with sleep.
