Chapter Text

"That was perfect, Jungwon! We'll keep in touch!" - Park Honn announced through his microphone, from where he was sitting at the judges table.

Jungwon smiled from ear to ear and bowed in appreciation.

"So, this was the last audition for the day... We can go home now." - Park Honn commented, beginning to pack his things, the other judges following.

"Dad! Are you sure that these were all of the trainees?" - Sunghoon stepped from the audience towards his dad.

Honn gave Sunghoon a look that basically said "don't ask me any questions" and Sunghoon gulped...

I guess he chickened out or something...

That was a shame, he was a good singer...

6 years later.

Sunoo was sipping from his latte, on his way to his first lecture of the year.

He quickly passed the professor when he saw him entering the classroom.

The professor gave him a silly look, but said nothing.

Sunoo sat at a spot Niki had reserved for him, next to Niki, himself.

"Hey, babe." - Niki winked at Sunoo playfully.

"Hey to you, too. And stop calling me that... people would really think that we're going out..." - Sunoo looked at the alpha, unimpressed.

"Have them think that, then at least they will stop asking you out?"

"You're unbelievable, Niki..."

Sunoo was on his lunch break now and had headed towards the Honn Music&Media cafeteria, to have lunch with his best friend, Jungwon.

Jungwon was a rising kpop idol under Honn Music&Media, the biggest entertainment company in South Korea right now.

But even though Jungwon was an idol now, he couldn't let go of his only friend.

Sunoo was important to him.

"Sunoo!"

"Wonnie!"

The two omegas hugged each other and jumped in place, happy and giggly.

"Sunoo, I can't believe that we couldn't see each other for 2 months!" - Jungwon cried all of a sudden with real tears.

"Same here, Wonnie!" - Sunoo shared his emotions.

When they eventually calmed down and the people around gave them enough worried looks, Sunoo and Jungwon sat at their chosen table.

"So, tell me, how are things going these days, Suny?" - Jungwon asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Honestly, not good..." - Sunoo played with the noodles on his plate. Not really looking at Jungwon.

"W-what happened? Do you have, you know, medical problems again..." - Jungwon looked around to make sure that no one was paying attention to them anymore and thankfully no one was.

"No. It's my dad. He was let go of his position at the company and now... I have to find a job, and fast at that... I have to pay my own tuition at the university."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Suny! You know what!? I will help you find a job, I'll start searching at this moment!" - Jungwon exclaimed with his fist in the air.

Sunoo arrived at his dorm room.

He turned on the lights and put his groceries at the small table in the small kitchen.

He sat at the table and placed his head on it.

He really didn't want to find a job...

He wanted to focus on his studies, they were hard enough.

But he guessed that life loved to play with him. He guessed that he was destined to do whatever he didn't want...

Jungwon had just finished a new recording session, when he overheard the two producers talking about the CEO searching for a new assistant.

Jungwon smirked and announced to the shocked other two in the room that he has the guy for the job!

Heeseung, the main producer, raised his eyebrow in an unsure motion, but gave Jungwon the contact details for the job offer, anyways.

Jungwon skipped happily out of the recording studio and almost ran into Jay's big chest.

"Look where you're going, little brat! You're not the only person in this building! Or are your little dumb songs making you lose your already nonexistent brain?" - Jay grunted frustrated.

"Sorry, Jay. But I do not acknowledge invisible nobodies..." - Jungwon rolled his eyes at Jay and quickly ran past him.
