Mind clouded by pain and nausea, Holmes read from case notes Lestrade had dropped off the night prior, as Watson’s head bent low around him.

His best friend was presently assisting him in pain relief from a migraine, allowing Holmes to complete his task at all. The pain was still terrible, but it was less overwhelming than it had prior to Watson offering his mouth as assistance.

As he felt release build in him, Holmes looked up from the sheaf of papers to warn his best friend it was coming. Watson smiled around him in acknowlegment, so Holmes read on.
