"I can't feel my legs" Charles choked out breathlessly, pain ragging throughout his body.
Erik cradled him in his arms, tear rolling down his cheek. He didn't see anybody walking towards them, he was too focused on Charles.
He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked up and saw Raven.
"We need to take him to a hospital" she said calmly.
Erik though for a moment, than nodded.
"Okay, but I'm not leaving his side" he took the damm helmet from his head and throwed it away "and keep that thing as far as possible from me"
Raven nodded and took the helmet from the ground, walking towards others.
"I'm sorry Charles... I... I really am" Erik kept apologizing over and over again.
Charles put his hand on Erik's cheek "I know my friend"
"Will... Will it be okay if... If I carry you" Erik asked quietly.
Charles never heard Erik so quiet and frightened ever before.
Erik carefully and gently picked Charles up.
Charles closed his eyes as he was carried twords the others.
Hank tried to take him from Erik's arms, but stopped when he saw Charles' face.
The whole way to the hospital, Erik never let Charles out of his sight... Felling too guilty to leave him.
The doctors said Charles may never walk again,he was scared and devastated.
In that moment Erik promised to himself that he'll change for better... He will change for Charles and he will NEVER leave him
