Work Text:
"I think that's the last box, Chrissy," Felix said, looking around the apartment.
Christine's new place was stacked to the ceiling with unlabeled, but somehow organized, cardboard boxes in every room. This was the second time in a year she'd moved, but this time, she was only two doors down the hall from Felix, and although he'd done nothing but tease her in the circus, she had found him to be quite helpful when it came to moving.
"Great, now let's get to unpacking," she grinned, hands on her hips as if he were being paid to do her chores.
Felix let out a quiet groan under his breath, then began to pry open a box in the kitchen before hearing Christine's sarcastic laugh.
"I'm kidding, dumbass," she said, playfully shoving him. "You've done more than enough for me. How much do I owe you this time?"
"Nothing," Felix replied. "Since when have I ever asked you to pay me?" He crossed his arms.
Christine didn't respond. Instead, she looked around the room, visibly stressed at the amount of unboxing she had ahead of her. She crossed her arms to match his, her eyes scanning each part of the room as if she were creating a plan in her mind. Without asking, Felix finished opening the box he'd begun tearing the tape from and started unpacking the bowls from inside.
"I said I was kidding, Felix. You don't have to do anything else," Christine repeated, walking towards him and pulling the open box from his hands gently. but he pulled it back immediately.
"And I can feel your stress from over here," he countered. "Let me help."
For someone who was known for being a total dick in the circus, Felix had become far more honest and genuine than Christine ever imagined could be possible, but it had certainly grown on her. She allowed him to take the box, moving on to the next pile and slicing another box open with a pair of scissors.
"Fine, you can do one box," she said, pulling the tape aside.
"C'mon, Chris," Felix said, already placing dishes into cabinets. "You'll be dead by morning if you try to do this alone."
"Then I'm paying you," she told him. "Or at least buying you dinner. Or-."
"Or nothing," he said, cutting her off. "Now start unpacking shit."
She began pulling out a set of baking sheets and cupcake tins, the metal clanging together in the silence of the room. She had seen Felix for months, and her previous job had made her feel lonelier than ever. Christine had missed hearing his voice, and living just down the hall from him was a new, calming feeling. Even watching him offer to move her things without making some backhanded comment was new for Felix. She felt strange, but refreshed, as if he'd finally left 'Jax' behind and become a softer version of himself.
"Seriously though," Felix said, his tone shifting back to that newfound sincerity that kept catching her off guard. He stopped what he was doing and leaned against the counter, watching her. "You’ve had a hard year, Poms. You don't have to do everything so goddamn fast. Slow down a bit."
Christine stopped, her old nickname giving her goosebumps, but it was almost calming. She felt her eyes begin to water, but she held back tears. She was overwhelmed, not only from moving, but from the simple fact that someone was standing in the same room as her and made her feel seen, and surprisingly, Felix was that person.
"I just want it to feel comfortable… like home," she admitted, her voice quiet as if she were embarrassed. "Moving twice in a year kinda makes everything feel temporary. Like I always have to be in a hurry."
Felix stepped over a pile of smaller boxes to close the gap between them. He didn't try to hug her or touch her, but he stayed close enough that she could feel his presence as he spoke.
"It’ll get there," he said. "But tonight, we'll set up the kitchen, so you can make coffee in the morning." He reached out and began changing the time on the microwave clock, then began digging through another box that had been tossed onto the counter, observing the granite beneath it. "Besides, you have so much counter space to try out… kind of sucks that you don't know how to cook."
Christine giggled, a genuine laugh for the first time in a while. "Fuck you," she teased, a grin still on her face as she tossed old cardboard aside.
"I'm an honest man," Felix said, shrugging.
"Liars go to hell, Felix," she said, though the bite was gone from her voice.
She watched him move around the small space, going through her things as if they were his own. He was efficient and surprisingly good at decorating, another quality she never assumed he would possess. The 'Jax' she knew would have been bored to tears by the idea of doing anything even remotely close to this. But this version of him was someone entirely different. Christine paused, her thoughts racing once again.
"Hey," Felix said, snapping his fingers as he noticed her staring off. "You're doing that thing again."
"What thing?"
"The overthinking thing. Your brain is working so hard, I can almost hear it screaming." He stepped closer, taking the box from in front of her. "Chill out. The kitchen is almost functional, and the best part? You’re two doors away from me, in case you forgot… which means you're stuck with me."
Christine looked up at him, the sarcasm finally failing her. "Thanks, Felix. Seriously."
He held her gaze for a second longer than necessary before snapping out of it. Maybe she was too exhausted to deal with the sentimental stuff, but Felix did the same, locking eyes with her in a way that seemed as though he genuinely cared, although that all-too-familiar smirk was still glued to his face.
"Don't get sappy," he said. "If you start crying, I'm gonna panic. Then you'll be stuck trying to figure out how to use this fancy new fridge on your own." He poked at the various settings, letting his curiosity get the best of him.
"Fine," she said, hanging up a dish towel by the sink. "Let's finish the kitchen."
They worked on unpacking for the next two hours, the clink of silverware and Felix's terrible commentary filling the silence. He organized mugs and plates far better than Christine ever could have, strategically placing them as if it were his lifelong job.
"You really need all these mugs?" he asked, holding up a pathetic, handmade mug with painted flowers. "This is hideous. Can't ya get rid of a few?"
"That was a gift!" Christine said, pretending to be angry, but her laugh came through in her tone.
"From an ex?" he asked, making a disgusted face and sliding it into the cabinet.
"As if you could do any better."
Slowly, the kitchen floor and counters became visible, and although the room was small, it looked incredibly put-together, like a display in an Ikea. The coffee maker was plugged in, and Felix had already set out a mug for Christine, a small gesture that made her feel warm. Felix wiped his hands on his jeans and pulled open the fridge, observing a single, half-drunk bottle of water.
"You need some groceries," he said. "But that can wait until tomorrow. You can officially survive the morning with a clean kitchen and your coffee maker. We can order pizza or something so you can avoid takeout again."
"I don't know," Christine said, leaning against the counter, smiling. "You know how much I've loved getting takeout for the past month."
"Oh, how could I forget?" he teased, shutting the refrigerator door. He looked over to Christine, bags under her eyes and a slumped posture. "You look like you're about to fall asleep standing up."
"I'm fine. A little tired, but nothing I'm not used to," she looked at the door, thinking about the two doors of distance, and the fact that for the first time in a year, she didn't feel entirely alone.
Felix pushed off the fridge and headed toward the front door, breaking down a final box and setting it aside. "I'm heading out. You need to sleep. And I'll be back tomorrow to help you start on the bedroom. You better not touch another box tonight."
"I might," she countered. "Then you'll have nothing else to help me with tomorrow."
"Better not," he smirked. He paused, his expression flickering back to something gentle. "Lock the door behind me so you don't get kidnapped and murdered. And for the record, I’m glad you moved here. It’s better having you close by."
Felix turned the doorknob, pulling the heavy door halfway open before Christine's voice stopped him.
"Felix…"
He turned to look at her. "Yeah?"
"Can you stay for a little longer?" she asked hesitantly. "And just… sit with me? No unboxing, just… be here?"
Felix paused. He looked at her tired expression, her face hopeful. For a moment, the old 'Jax' crossed his mind, the one who would have teased her, made a joke about her "coming on to him". But then he let go of the knob, carefully closing it with a soft thud.
"Yeah," he said, pushing some smaller boxes into the corner to make room to cross to the couch. He sat down, making himself at home and motioning for her to join him as he grabbed the TV remote. "Of course."
Christine felt a wave of relief, and somehow, feeling him next to her was just the comfort she needed. She watched him scroll through the apps to find Netflix. "The WiFi isn't set up yet."
"I know, I know," Felix said, rolling his eyes playfully. "I'll fix it. You're so stressed over everything that it's stressing me out."
They sat in the quiet room for a while, the only sound being the TV, a funky show that Felix had picked out that Christine had never seen. The kitchen light spilled into the dark room.
"You really hate the quiet, don't you?" Felix asked, watching her squirm every time the conversation halted or the TV went quiet.
"I used to like it… it used to be relaxing," Christine replied, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her head on them. "But lately it just irritates me. Gives me too much room to think."
Felix shifted, scooting closer to her. "You think too much, you're gonna hurt yourself if you do that." He laughed.
"I guess so," she whispered.
She looked over at him. His expression was gentle and calm. It was almost unsettling. Christine turned away again, her chin on her knees.
"Felix?" she spoke softly.
"Hm?"
"Why did you actually help me? And don't say it's because you were bored," she pried, searching for the real reason he had become soft for her.
"Because," he said eventually. "I figured if I helped you unpack, maybe you’d feel a little better about moving. Plus… I've missed you."
Christine leaned her head back against the sofa and closed her eyes.
"Believe it or not, I've missed you too," she said, looking over at him.
"How could you not?" Felix teased, his smirk returning. "And you still owe me dinner."
Christine relaxed, laying her head over gently on his shoulder. Felix jumped, surprised at her gesture.
"Weirdo," he said, wrapping his arm around her. "Knew you were coming on to me."
"You're never gonna let that go, are you?" she asked.
"Nope," he replied.
Felix’s arm tightened around her, but his hand didn't rest on her shoulder for long. His fingers slowly trailed downward, tracing the sensitive line of her shoulder, then down to her collarbone. Christine's breath hitched at his touch. His cocky, teasing personality still lingered, but the air in the room had suddenly become hot.
"Ya know, Poms," he said, speaking with a tone that was more certain and bold. "You looked so tired before, but you've got this look in your eyes now, like you’re finally waking up."
He pulled her closer until she was practically draped across his lap. Christine looked up at him, his gentleness fading. In his place was the 'Jax' she once knew, but instead of his regular persona, he looked as if he were hunting her, as if he were hungry.
"Felix…" she sighed.
"What?" he whispered, his thumb catching her lower lip and carefully pulling it down, just enough to see her teeth.
He kept his eyes on her, brushing a stray hair away from her face as he admired her.
"Is it a little too quiet for ya now?" he asked, his playful smirk turning into something possessive. "I can think of a few ways we can fix that…might keep your silly little brain from overthinking again. You said you wanted to pay me, anyway."
Christine didn't pull away from him. Instead, she embraced it. She reached up, her fingers tangling in the back of his hair, pulling him towards her lips. As his lips finally met hers, he cupped her cheek with his large hand. Christine let everything else around her fade, leaving only the taste of him. His lip piercing was cold against her mouth, sending a cold shiver up her spine. He pulled away for a split second to simply look at her.
"I guess I do owe you for helping," she said, matching his tone.
"Let's make a deal," Felix said, kissing her on the tip of her nose. "I'll help you finish unpacking everything tomorrow," He paused to trace her jawline with his thumb. "And in return, I get to recreate the dream I had last night."
Christine felt her heart beating out of her chest, the feeling of his skin on hers exhilarating.
"Is that so?" she challenged, an invitation in her voice that drove him crazy. She leaned back just enough to look him in the eye, his pupils huge. "And here I thought you were just being a good neighbor. Tell me about this dream, Felix."
Felix grinned, tightening his grip on her. "But can you blame me? I had plenty of time to fantasize in the circus… the real thing is much better."
His hand moved to the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her hair to pull her head back slightly. She admittedly loved feeling helpless, especially under his control.
"So," he murmured, breathing on her neck. "Do we have a deal, Poms?"
Christine didn't answer with words, but instead, smashed her lips into his, taking control by pushing him back against the couch. She straddled him, her knees pressed on either side of the couch, her lips never leaving his.
"Deal," she breathed against his lips when they finally broke for air.
Felix’s smirk was triumphant, like he'd won an award. "Good girl, I knew you couldn't turn down an offer from me."
Christine's breath hitched at the praise as his hands dropped from her hair to her hips, his grip harsh as he pulled her flush against him. As she moved, the friction of her pants against his jeans sent a jolt of electricity through them both. Felix let out a low groan, his head falling back against the couch as she began to move instinctively.
The rhythm was a slow, deliberate grind that made Christine wet almost immediately. Every time she pressed down against him, he met her halfway, his hips moving upward to close the gap. The thick denim between them did nothing to dull the intensity; if anything, the resistance made every slide of her body against his feel more desperate.
"God, Poms," Felix whispered under his breath as he gripped her waist so tight it bruised. "You're killing me."
He slid his large hands under her shirt to find the bare skin of her lower back, feeling the heat radiate from her body as he pulled her closer. The friction was almost too much for him, even fully clothed. Christine buried her face in the crook of his neck, leaving an occasional, soft kiss on his skin, sending chills down the back of his neck. Each time she pushed against him, she could feel him beneath her, becoming more and more frustrated with each movement. Felix’s breath hitched, becoming almost angry with the clothes in between them.
"Fuck," he whispered under his breath as her arms tightened around him.
Christine gripped his shoulders, holding onto the fabric of his shirt as she dug her nails into him, her vision blurring. The distance between them for the past year had suddenly vanished entirely, and their only focus now was on one another. Felix bucked his hips upward as she caught his rhythm perfectly, a quiet moan escaping her mouth. His hands moved quickly to her thighs, squeezing her roughly and guiding her, ensuring her every move was met with the full force of his weight.
"Chris," he choked out, his eyes struggling to stay open.
She leaned down, kissing him gently, almost soaking through her pants. "Been waiting this long for me, huh? Is this better than your dream?"
He bucked upwards, his hips pushing up against her hard, hitting her clit through her pants. Felix grabbed her face with both hands and pulled her into a rough kiss that tasted like desperation. His tongue pushed into her mouth, catching her by surprise. The loud sounds of their labored breathing filled the room.
Felix’s fingers were sinking into her skin as he found that perfect spot, the one that left her practically begging to feel him as his movements became faster.
"So much… better," he replied, catching her moan in a kiss.
He shifted, lifting his hips one more time with a force that made Christine gasp before he stopped, groaning loudly out of pure frustration. Felix had reached his limit with the barrier of their clothes, his eyes fixed on her pants. He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of her jeans, looking up at her for her approval.
"Enough of this," he rasped, his voice raw. "I think you had these off in the dream. And maybe this, too." He tugged gently at her shirt.
Christine nodded, agreeing to anything he said, mesmerized by the look in his eyes. In one motion, he peeled the jeans off her body, tossing them among the boxes next to them. He took a moment to touch her, running his hands down her thighs and admiring the wet patch between her legs, already soaking through her panties. The cool air of the apartment hit her skin. He adjusted her body, dangling her legs off the edge of the couch and kneeling on the floor. Felix looked just desperate and pathetic enough on his knees to drive Christine wild. He looked up at her, pure, raw hunger in his eyes as he pushed her legs apart, settling in between her. He leaned in, feeling the heat from between her legs as he took the lace of her underwear between his teeth, pulling them off with his mouth.
Christine’s breathing was deep and heavy. The version of him she remembered, usually so cocky and guarded, was so new compared to him now, kneeling before her with such focus. Felix didn't waste a second. As soon as the fabric was gone, he leaned in again, his hands sliding under her thighs to pull her closer to his face.
"You look so fucking beautiful," he said, his hands never leaving her body.
He pressed a kiss to her inner thigh, then placed a matching one on the opposite side. When he finally tasted her, she could feel his desperation as he flicked his tongue mercifully, tasting every last bit of her. He found the sensitive spot he’d been teasing through her pants just minutes before, sucking harshly on her clit. Her hips moved instinctively against him, her hand gripping his hair as if to guide him. She let out a loud, whiny moan, just like the ones he had imagined before.
"God, you're so loud for me," he spoke against her skin, his voice muffled as he lifted a finger, sliding it in her wet pussy as he began to flick his tongue again.
He used his free hand to hold her steady, tracing circles on her skin with his thumb. He increased his pace, his own arousal becoming evident through his pants. Christine moaned his name, the feeling overwhelming as she watched him worship her with a hunger that felt like it had been building for years.
"Ah! I'm… I'm so close," she managed to speak, her voice breaking.
He slowed down just enough to make her groan, then pulled away. As he pulled his finger out of her, he lifted it to her lips, and she took it into her mouth without second thought. "Not yet, PomPom," he whispered. "I'm still not done with you."
He leaned in one more time, kissing her sensitive clit before standing to his feet, towering over her.
"Now," he rasped, his hand moving to the button of his own jeans, "about that deal we made."
He finished undoing his jeans, tossing them in the pile with hers. Through his underwear, his erection was visible. Christine stared shamelessly, almost intimidated by his size. Felix didn't give her long to stare. He stripped off his boxers, throwing them onto the couch, followed by his shirt. He motioned for Christine to follow suit, helping her remove her own shirt, watching her remove her bra, and gently setting it aside.
"You're shaking," he pointed out. "Scared, Poms? Or just impatient?" He leaned over her, his hands firmly on the wall above the couch as she sat beneath him.
She leaned forward as he stood over her, taking his cock into her mouth fully with no hesitation, gagging as she attempted to take the entire thing.
"Oh, fuck," Felix groaned, his eyes rolling back.
Felix’s hand immediately moved to her hair, his fingers tangling into the dark strands, not to pull her away, but to push her deeper. Saliva spilled out of the sides of her mouth, her eyes watering as she looked up at him. The cocky version of him had disappeared, and his attempt to act 'in charge' had left with it. He let out a low, shaky breath, his hips moving instinctively toward her mouth.
"So good," he managed to choke out, his voice raw. "Taking me so well."
She used her tongue to swirl around the tip of his cock before taking him deep again, her eyes fluttering. Felix gripped her hair so hard that his knuckles turned white.
"Chris," he managed to speak. "I don't… wanna… cum like this," he said, aching to feel her.
She pulled away to tease him, but just as she did, he hooked his hands under her armpits and lifted her up, shifting her so she was lying back against the sofa cushions. He didn't waste a second. He knelt between her legs, spreading them slightly and lifting them onto his shoulders. She looked a mess beneath him, her face flushed and her mascara running.
"Come on, Chris," he whispered. "You know you can't be the one in control here."
She huffed as if she were pouting, but it lacked any real bite. Felix’s smirk returned, but it was darker now. He looked down at her, trying to keep his composure.
"Look at you," he whispered, his voice possessive. "You’re so small under me, fuck. I’m gonna stretch you out so good you’ll forget all about moving," he cupped her face with his hand. "How's that sound?"
He gripped her thighs, leaning until his cock brushed against her clit, causing her to whimper. He moved slowly, grinding against her as if to torture her. Christine’s eyes were wide, a loud gasp escaping her as she felt him push the tip against her entrance. It was a tight fit already, making Felix squirm.
"Felix," she whimpered, her hands grabbing anywhere they could as he pushed into her.
"I know, I know," he whispered, his voice somehow switching from harsh to calming. "You're so tight, it’s like you were made just for me to break you in."
He finally pushed all the way in, giving her a second to adjust to him as he felt her tense up. He pulled halfway out, then slowly pushed back in again. As she finally adjusted, her hips moved forward as if she were begging for more.
"Please," she begged, tears filling her eyes.
"Please, what? You want me to stop?" he teased, but his voice was genuine. He pulled out again, but quickly back in, harder this time, the force of it making the couch slide a bit against the floor. "You’re such a pretty little mess for me."
He began to move with a slow rhythm, speeding up just enough to make her eyes roll back, her head pressed against the couch cushion.
"That's it, Poms," he said, his voice low. "Take it all. You can do it."
She reached up, pulling him down until his chest was flush against hers. The metal of his lip piercing grazed her collarbone as he bit down, leaving a branding mark on her skin.
"Felix, I…" she started to speak, but the words broke into a high, needy sob as he hit a spot that made her melt.
"I’ve got you," he whispered. He slid his hands under her hips to tilt her up, pushing deeper. "Feel good?"
She forced her eyes back open, nodding. He moved his thumb to her clit, rubbing slow circles as he continued to move. He hovered inches from her lips, moving his hand up to her jaw from her clit, prying her mouth open with a gentle but demanding movement. He spat once in her mouth, then kissed her, biting her bottom lip. Felix pulled back just enough to watch her swallow, his eyes dark and glossy.
"You dirty girl," he said, wiping a stray tear from her face. "You’ve been starving for this, haven't you, Poms? All that stress, and all you really needed was to feel me."
He increased his pace, his thrusts becoming messier as she tightened around him. She was loud enough for the neighbors to hear, but neither of them cared.
"That's it," he praised, leaning in to whisper in her ear. "Show me how much you missed me. You're being such a good girl, taking every inch of me."
He reached down, his fingers moving on her clit to match his unforgiving pace. Christine’s back arched off the cushions, her fingers digging into the muscle of his arms, leaving red crescents behind.
"Say my name, Chris," Felix ordered. "Make sure everyone in this building knows just who owns you. "
She attempted to moan his name, but it turned into a broken scream for more. He shifted his grip to pin both of her wrists above her head with one hand, driving into her. She whimpered, unable to speak.
"You sound so pretty, so pathetic," he groaned. "Tell me you’re mine."
"I'm... yours, Felix," she whined. "Fuck, I'm so close. Please!"
"I know," he said, feeling her shake beneath him. He leaned down, biting the sensitive skin on her neck, marking her before she finished. "You wanna cum for me, pretty girl?"
She nodded. "Please," she begged, squeezing her eyes shut as she gave in.
As her climax hit, Felix didn't slow down. He pressed his free hand on her lower stomach, forcing himself as deep as he could go. The intensity of her release was staggering, but Felix was relentless. Even as she collapsed beneath him, he kept his pace steady, his hips slamming into hers.
"Christine," he spoke, his voice demanding. "Don't go all quiet on me now. His voice was low. "I'm not letting you off that easy."
He leaned down, his teeth grazing her ear before he bit down. She squirmed beneath him, every part of her sensitive and raw after her orgasm, but the pleasure lingered.
"Felix, it's… ah! It's too much," she gasped, her legs shaking uncontrollably as her nails dug into his skin.
"You got it, you can handle it," he whispered, holding her much gentler now. "You’re so sensitive, Poms. One orgasm and you’re already falling apart? I'm not finished with you yet, baby."
He pressed harder, moving his fingers to her sensitive clit again.
"Please... Felix, please, it hurts. Fuck, I'm gonna cum again," she whimpered, arching her back against the couch. The pleasure had become unbearable.
"Already?" he asked, his hand moving to her jaw, lifting her head to meet his eyes. "Look at me."
He gave one final, deep thrust as he reached his own orgasm simultaneously with her, feeling her tighten around him. He whined as he finished, filling her up completely. He held himself there inside her, still using his fingers to help her ride out her second orgasm.
"Good job, PomPom," he praised, his forehead dropping against hers. "See? I knew you could handle it." He pressed a rough, needy kiss to her forehead, wrapping his arms around her as she finally relaxed.
The apartment was quiet, the cooling air hitting their warm skin. Neither of them moved, the only sound a mix between their heavy breathing and the AC humming. Felix stayed anchored between her legs, his forehead resting against hers for a while, waiting until she could catch her breath to pull out.
"You okay?" he asked, his voice quiet but rough. He moved his hand down her hips, seeing the bruises he'd made with his fingers.
Christine nodded. "Yeah," she breathed, a small, dazed smile tugging at her lips. "Good news is, I'm not stressed anymore."
Felix let out a short laugh, rubbing gentle lines on her skin. He reached across her and pulled a large blanket draped over a box, covering her shivering body before leaning back against her.
"Feeling a little more like home?" he asked.
Christine pulled the blanket up to her chin, nodding again. "You're still coming back tomorrow to help with the rest, right?"
Felix reached out, hooking a finger under her chin and pulling her in for a deep kiss, this time, more meaningful.
"Depends if you want me to come back," he teased.
"Please," Christine answered, finding his hand and intertwining her fingers with his.
"Then I'll be back," he promised, "But you only paid for me tonight. So…" He laughed.
"Hey, that wasn't the deal we made," she joked, giggling. "But I guess I could pay you for tomorrow, too." She smiled, her body going limp in his arms.
He settled back, pulling her into his side.
"Hey, Poms," he said, his voice more genuine.
"Yeah?"
"I missed you, you brat," Felix said.
"I missed you more, asshole."
