Chapter Text
Hey Youhei.
Yeah, I guess its been a while. A couple months maybe. Its...well, its your birthday.
Wish you were alive to celebrate it though.
I really don't know why I'm doing this. Atsushi told me that it was a good coping mechanism, that when he wrote letters to Ikeda, he felt better about himself. I don't get the whole appeal of this or whatever, and it makes my hand cramp up like hell, but theres another reason.
Todays the day I'm gonna die. And this is my suicide note.
I've thought about it. Told Doc that I wouldn't do anything stupid while he was at medical school, but to be honest, I don't really care. I keep thinking about what you said that one night. That in one universe we wouldn't have met in a killing game, and we would hang out constantly, and we would write music together and have concerts together and it just--
It hurts to know that didn't happen in this universe.
So I have my pills, and my blade if the pills don't work, I guess. Denden's home, well, not home exactly. Me and her, and Yokoi have been staying at Nakamigawa's house. The fashion designer. He's really cool, I guess. Sure, he's a bit snobby, but everyone has flaws.
Anyway, I just hope no one walks in on me when I do this. I know its dumb, its selfish of me to leave everyone, but this is the one time I feel brave enough to actually be okay with the bad outcome. I feel proud of that, the feeling that I'm not scared of dying anymore. Guess that killing game really did help in a way, huh?
I really miss you, man, and...
I'm really sorry I was the one that figured out you were a murderer.
I wish it hadn't been me, that it had been anyone else. It would've hurt less, y'know? We're best friends, after all.
Just know I'll see you soon, okay man? Tell the others, wherever you are, that I'm coming, okay?
Thanks for everything, Youhei. And whoever found me like this, thank you too.
PS: dont worry. Your birthday present, aka, seeing me, won't take a while.

Denden: "Miocchi! Are you asleep in there? Me and Ruka finished dinner!"
The shorter redhead on the other side of the door didn't respond. It was quiet, really quiet for an utaite.
Denden: "I think you're asleep, so I'll just come in!"
The door gently opens.
And the ice scupltor let out a scream.
