The Hours You Forget

Summary:

Moon has headaches, stuttering, and forgetfulness, and then suddenly he loses blocks of time.

What happens in those missing blocks?

Set after and based on Moon LOSES HIS MEMORY! in VRChat from 3/18/26

Notes:

Bro, you can't tell me you didn't think about this. I was so curious about the block of missing memory. I hope that tomorrow's episode they follow what Moon did during that time cuz I wanna know! Was he acting like normal? Does he act weirdly? Does he regress to acting like his older self? I had an alternative idea to this fic where during that block of missing time, Moon acts like his older self, and he noncons Sun instead (but Sun likes it cuz Sun fucking would.), but, uh, felt like they woulda mentioned or noticed if Moon was acting more like Old Moon, and this idea popped in my head instead, and I went, "Oh, yeah, that's good."

So yes, very much noncon and horrible. You've been warned. (Also I guess references to necro? Or I guess somno if we count shutting off as more like a coma.)

Work Text:

Stuttering. Headaches. Forgetfulness.

Moon is about to go into another block of time he won't remember.

Sun watches as Moon holds his head, slowly stumbling upstairs to his room. Sun waits for a few minutes before excusing himself from the rest of his worried family. They're talking about ways to try to fix Moon's issue, or at least mitigate the damage. Sun plays it off like he can't bear to hear more on this subject, and they all understand.

Sun is Moon's twin, this must hurt him deeply, and he isn't much help anyways. He doesn't know all the science crap they're considering.

It doesn't hurt as much as they all think it does.

In fact, it presents an opportunity that Sun would be stupid to skip out on.

Sun enters Moon's room without knocking. The bot is curled up in his bed, pillow over his head, unnecessary artificial breath choppy. "Go away." Moon says, muffled. Sun does not go away. Instead, he closes and locks the door behind himself. Moon moves the pillow, seeing Sun still there and sneers, throwing the pillow at his brother. "Are you deaf? I said go away!"

Sun doesn't flinch as the pillow bounces uselessly off of him, as his brother's voice raises in anger. There was a time when he would flinch, but that feels so long ago. That Sun is just a distant memory, nothing like what Sun is now. That Sun wouldn't even be able to comprehend what Sun is here for. "No."

"I just want to be alone! God, my head is killing me." Moon grasps at his faceplate like he wants to break it in half. "Just hearing your circuity humming so loud. Ugh, get out!"

"No." Sun responds again as he steps forward. "I'm not leaving."

"Sun, this isn't some, oh, I'm feeling sad and really need a pep talk from my brother to make me feel hopeful again kind of situation. This is a my head hurts and I just need to decompress by myself kind of situation. I'm not you. I don't sulk off to be alone and want somebody to chase me and tell me everything is gonna be alright. When I sulk off it's to actually be alone. So, I appreciate the effort, I appreciate that you care, but get out."

"I'm not here to make you feel better." Sun says.

That seems to catch Moon off guard, his annoyed face switching to confusion then back to annoyance. "I… What? What are you here for, then? What? Did you lose your car keys? Ask Solar to help."

"Moon, do you remember what happened the last time you suddenly had a headache and stuttering issues?" Sun asks.

"I lost like seven hours." Moon replies, voice bitter.

"Exactly, you don't remember. And now you're stuttering again. And your head hurts. And you won't remember this in… Well, I guess there's really no way of telling how long this is gonna last." Sun's head tilts at an angle deep enough it would snap a human's neck, his expression still as neutral as when he walked in. "But I will be using this time to my advantage."

Fear flickers in the back of Moon's eyes. "What the fuck does that mean? What do you want to do that you want me to forget?" His hands grip his sheets. "If you want to tell me off, do it when I will remember. I deserve it, I know I do, so don't feel like you can only get this off your chest when I'll forget it."

Sun just stares Moon down, reveling in that slight tinge of fear he can sense. "We're past words." Sun reaches forward and grabs at Moon's pants, pulling them off of his brother in a quick tug.

Moon sputters and wriggles away once he's been de-pantsed. He uses his hands to cover his modesty panel. "What the fuck are you doing?! Those are my pants!"

"Moon." Sun tosses the pants to the side and then pulls his own off. His modesty panel opens to revel his wriggling yellow tentacle. Moon stares at it, shocked. "I want you to look me in the eyes." Sun climbs atop his brother and grabs his faceplate, forcing eye contact. "I'm going to rape you."

Moon's expression shatters, shards of anger, of disbelief, of fear all fighting for a spot as his facial features glitch out. "You're- you're not- this- is this a nightmare?" Moon asks, disbelief winning out.

Sun's grip tightens, and Moon hisses as blunt nails scrape against his faceplate. "No, it's not."

"Then this has to be Titan's doing. He has you under his-" Moon is cut off with a choke as Sun grabs his modesty panel, flicking the emergency access latch and forcing it open.

"Titan couldn't even begin to think of all the vile things I want to do to you. Unfortunately, I can't hurt you, not in any way that'll leave a mark, so you're safe from those things. But this?" Sun laughs, low and ominous. "This will hurt so much."

"Sun?" Moon asks, voice small, confused on why Sun is acting this way. He jumps as Sun's tentacle brushes against his hole. "Sun?!"

"You deserve this." Sun says and then he's pressing inside of Moon's dry hole, nothing but the lubricant dripping from Sun's cock easing the way. Moon sobs, his hands grabbing at the sheets as he's penetrated. It hurts, burning and dry and achy and only spreading as Sun presses deeper and deeper inside.

"What- what did I do to deserve this?" Moon asks.

Sun puts a hand over Moon's faceplate, pushing the back of his head deeper into the bed. "Have you already forgotten our whole lives? Our first years where your only goal was to make my life a living hell? When you went and died on me and let me have a better brother only to push him towards a psychotic break with whatever bullshit you said to him when he went inside his head to talk to you? Every time you put your hands on me? Every insult you've shouted in my face? Every child you murdered? I am showing you a mercy by letting you forget this. Don't ask stupid questions." Sun removes his hand, using it to grab one of Moon's thighs and pull it upwards, adjusting the angle so he can fuck deeper into Moon.

"You think this is a fitting punishment? Why don't you just shut me off?" Moon asks.

"Because we have a family that loves you. They know what you did, who you are, and they still love you." Sun's grip tightens. "So I have to live with you and play pretend like we're a happy family, even when you keep being you. Now I can finally let out some of my resentment, some of my anger."

"Why not just torture me? Waterboard me or something."

"I'm not like you, I'm not a sadist. I wouldn't enjoy torturing you." Sun thrusts fully into Moon, grinding into him, his cock twitching inside the tight heat. "But I can enjoy this."

"You're enjoying this?" Moon asks in a mean hiss. "You enjoy raping your brother?"

Sun pulls slowly out and then presses back inside with a sigh. "A hole is a hole."

Moon grimaces, disgusted. "So this isn't even about getting back at me, or serving me any kind of justice, you're just a fucking loser who can't get laid exploiting the closest hole you've got."

"This can be both things. I can be hurting you because you deserve it and using you to get off because I've fantasized about doing this for years." Sun's hips speed up. "No matter what, no matter who I try to imagine, my thoughts always come back to you. Just another way you annoy me."

"You're sick."

"Yeah, but you made me sick. You can only traumatize a guy so much before he starts dreaming about fucking you until you puke. You broke me."

"You could've left once we separated! You asked me to stay! I was gonna ditch you and that shitty daycare!"

"You think I would've survived without you? Let me tell you something, Moon." Sun's eyes blaze with anger. "I hate you. I hate you so fucking much, but I need you. I needed you to help me run the daycare, I needed you to keep us financially afloat, I needed you to keep Monty from fucking me over six ways from Sunday. And I need you because you are my other half, and if I lose you, I'm gonna lose my fucking mind."

The anger in Sun's voice and his words make Moon's fight-or-flight feelings go haywire, but he can't get away, not with the way Sun is holding him and buried deep inside him. He pushes down the fear with anger aimed right back at Sun. "God, I hope I do revert back to my old self then, so you have to shut me down and lose me. And I hope everybody sees you melt down and hates you."

"Do you really think that'll be enough to make me melt down? That's not losing you, Moon. Our family wouldn't give up on you so easily. They'll keep trying to fix you, to help you. Eventually, they will succeed. You'll live again." Sun leans forward, pressing the leg in his hold into the bed. His face is too close to Moon's. "And in the meantime, I'll still have access to your body."

Moon freezes up at that, almost unable to process what Sun is saying, the idea of not being able to escape Sun, even in temporary death. Because Sun is right, a shut down would only be temporary. One day his eyes will open again, and whatever Sun did to him in the meantime will never be discovered.

Just like this.

In a few hours time Moon won't remember. He won't know he has to run away, that Sun is hurting him like this, that's he's been violated down to his core.

And Sun will get away with it.

There is no point in fighting back, in trying to argue, in trying to talk Sun out of this. The lights in Moon's eyes dim as he goes into as much of a rest mode as he can when his body is being physically used. His mind blanks and sensation dulls.

Moon is only vaguely aware of when Sun finally pulls out, hours later, and something spills across Moon's chassis, something that Sun cleans up quickly. Sun also relatches his modesty panel and puts his clothes back on. Moon can feel Sun's presence as he sits on the bed with Moon, he can feel Sun's eyes on him as the bot stares at his unmoving form. Now that he isn't being used, he can slip fully into rest mode.

Moon awakens to the sight of Sun sitting on his bed, a concerned little frown on his face as one hand holds his, caressing it. Moon blinks up at him. "I lost time again, didn't I? How long has it been?"

"Only four hours." Sun informs him. "You slept for most of it."

"You were concerned about me, huh? Came in to check on me?"

"Yeah, I was… I was scared…"

"Don't be. I'm feeling… Okay. I guess losing sleep isn't as bad as losing time where I'm walking around. I don't feel very rested, though." Moon sits up, his hand slipping out of Sun's. "Thanks for checking on me, Sun. I appreciate your concern."

"Any time." Sun replies, standing and then heading for the door.

"Sun?" Moon calls out just before Sun can open it. Sun turns to Moon and makes an inquisitive sound. "I love you." Moon says, wanting to be sure Sun knows it before his memory loss takes away the part of him that feels bold enough to tell Sun that.

Sun turns back to the door. "I love you, too." He responds, his voice almost mechanical, before he leaves the room.

Moon plugs himself into the wall and lays back down, determined to get restful sleep this time.
