“Nick! How many blankets do you need?”
“Enough to keep you warm and build a fort and keep Daisy cosy,” Nick explained, loading their shopping trolley with blankets.
Charlie giggled at Nick’s enthusiasm.
At home Nick immediately started building said fort. Charlie tried to help, but Nick sent him off to cuddle Daisy.
“Done!” he finally announced.
“And now?”
“Now you get cosy in there and wait for me.”
Charlie shook his head affectionately and crawled into the fort. Nick joined him moments later with a muffin, one word written on it:
“Now?”
Charlie burst out laughing, shaking his head.
