My Hope

Summary:

“Get the fuck off me!”, Grace was yelling now, from fear but also from desperation. She didn’t know what Victor wanted with her, not anymore. Was he just adamant that she didn’t escape? Or worse? He still needed her for his plan so there’s no way he would kill her here, not yet. He still needed Elpis. “You can’t unlock Elpis without me, right? So let me go!”

Victor pauses for a minute as if to think over what she just said. A mocking laugh erupts from him, reverberating around the room. “Why do you think I’m not killing you, my dear?”, he asks rhetorically, and the sheer amount of panic in Grace’s eyes must be evident because Gideon gets excited again, fixated on her fear.

My version of Gideon and Grace's second encounter.

Sequel to my fic Dissection

Notes:

Hi guys!

So this is actually the sequel to the Leon/Gideon fic I wrote yesterday 'Dissection' but it doesn't have to be read before reading this one.

I had this idea while writing the other one which I why I hinted at it a little.

Anyways, enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The hallways of Rhodes Hill feel like they never end and Grace feels like she’s been wandering aimlessly for hours now. She knows that it’s probably a little exaggerated to say, but she can’t seem to make a break through on these stupid puzzle boxes. Why the hell do they even exist in a place like this?

Grace mumbles to herself, frantic and incoherent and she almost forgets to take breathes in between sentences until she’s gasping. She does that a lot actually...her mom said it was just her anxiety. But she hates the way she stammers sometimes when she speaks or how frantic or panicked she sounds all the time, and well, that’s probably because she is, but she hates being like this.

The groans of zombies reverberate down the halls and Grace is beginning to have a hard time telling which room they’re coming from. She doesn’t want to run into a fight she can’t win, and although she has the gun Leon gave her she’s not exactly the best with it. She can aim, sure, but it’s powerful and it hurts her damn hands every time she has to use it. It’ll be worth it as long as it keeps her safe though.

She comes across a small little room that seems to be free of zombies. There’s a door at the other side that looks like it leads into some kind of office, but the blinds are down too much for her to see inside. Grace takes a moment to herself, taking a few deep breaths and tries to think of what her mom might do in this situation before she finally manages to ground herself.

When she looks towards the office door something in the air shifts and suddenly Grace doesn’t feel so safe anymore. She readies her gun just in case, waiting for a zombie to screech or groan, but what she doesn’t expect to see is the man who kidnapped her standing on the other side of the room. He’s reading through a file, the visor still blocking her view of his eyes and Grace notices then, more than ever, that he towers over everything. The ceilings are high in the room, granting him the freedom to walk around without ducking everywhere, but he’s as tall as the fucking door, and it disturbs Grace.

The barrel of her gun is immediately aimed at him. She’s panicking internally but trying her best not to let it show. Unfortunately though, it seems as though her shaking is betraying her. She can see the start of a smile on his face.

He turns to her then, completely unfazed by the gun pointed directly at him.

“Ah, Miss Ashcroft, come in. I won’t hurt you”, he spoke quietly, his voice barely above a whisper, and something about it almost seemed like he was trying to be gentle with her as to not scare her off. It wasn’t quite working though. “I was just looking for Dr. Richardson.”

The man turns to face her fully now, putting down the file he was reading, stepping to the side as he approaches her a little. Their size difference makes Grace want to run away, like if he got too close to her she might just freeze up, unable to move away as he probably knocked her unconscious again.

“Wh-Why did you kidnap me?”, she asks, finding the last sliver of confidence inside herself and uses it to speak up. Her voice is shaking, and she feels so incredibly inadequate as she looks up at the man in front of her. It’s the first time she’s been before him long enough to properly take in his features. He was scarred everywhere that she could see, no doubt they travelled far past his clothing, and when he grinned at her she noticed that his teeth appeared gold. Grace doesn’t think someone could survive going through all those wounds, ones that looked like they never healed right.

Grace doesn’t think he’s human anymore.

“Kidnap you?”, he asks her like it’s the most unintelligent thing he’s ever heard, “I liberated you.” He says it as a statement with no room for argument, and Grace doesn’t think she would have argued either way. Her brows knit together. How does this fucker not think that he kidnapped her?

She doesn’t lower the gun, doesn’t have any plans to. She’s still too scared that her life could be taken from her in an instant. But the doctor seems to need her for something. Elpis, she thinks, whatever it means. It’s the mysterious word that he keeps saying over and over again like it should mean something to her, but it doesn’t. She hasn’t got the slightest notion of what he’s talking about. Maybe he should have been a patient here instead.

“Who are you?”, she asks. She has to know what’s going on. Even if it costs her life, even if there’s no coming back from this. This man kidnapped her and she needs to know why. She needs to know why he’s been stalking her for years too.

“Oh, forgive me”, he says, and the way his voice holds so much  sincerity makes her uneasy. He’s getting closer and closer to her now and Grace has to take a few steps to the side just to avoid him until suddenly he stops and dramatically bows in front of her. “Dr. Victor Gideon. I run this centre.” He gestures to the building as he says it, and to say Grace is disturbed would be an understatement.

“It took me forever to find you”, he speaks again, this time his voice stronger but not unkind, just insanely creepy. Grace hopes that he’s going to start answering some of the questions she’s been holding onto because she’s not sure how much longer she’s going to last here before turning to run out of the room. He’ll be faster though, she knows, stronger too, so maybe there’s no point. “You’re not like other people, you know.”

Grace doesn’t take time to ponder what he could mean by that, just keeps her eyes trained on him in case he makes any sudden moves and she needs to open fire. Something in her mind asks her if she’d be willing to shoot a human being. She dreads that the answer is probably not.

“You’re quite...unique”, he drawls it out in a way that has Grace feeling a little sick, “through you, Elpis can finally be...set free.” He grins wildly at her, an unhinged look on his face despite the visor covering most of it.

“Wh-Why me?”, Grace stumbles over her words again, and Victor’s grin gets wider. She hates to think that he might find it endearing...or even attractive. Oh God.

She points the gun right at his head.

“Because my Master made you who you are”, he whispers. He’s so close to her now, invading her space more than Grace thought anyone could. His size scares the shit out of her, too tall and broad to be considered a human, surely, but yet he’s speaking to her like one. Like they’re the same.

The pair whip their heads to the side as an alarm blares in the distance. She turns back to him, a confused look on her face, but notices that he seems to be at ease.

“Ah, phase two is about to begin”, he strides behind the desk once more, placing his hands on the hardwood of the surface and leans down. He slowly looks up at her, the creepiest grin Grace thinks she’s ever seen appearing on his face.

“Would you like to see what’s hidden under the hood?”

Grace doesn’t wait around to find out what he had in mind. Instead, she makes a mad dash for the door, closing it behind her as she looks for a place to hide. There’s a dresser to her right. Grace runs, swinging the main door open as a means to trick Gideon before turning to her hiding spot. She tries her best to control her breathing when the office door swings open and he steps outside.

“Grace! Wait! Grace!”, he’s yelling now. This is the angriest she’s ever seen him. In both encounters they’ve had he’s kept his composure and kept his voice calm and level, but now he’s pissed off, his voice changing from a creepy whisper to an inhuman roar.

When he gets to the open door he stops, looking around for any sign of her that he can find. Grace is almost hyperventilating behind the dresser, a hand clasped over her mouth, the other on her gun. If he finds her now it’s over for her.

“Grace?”

“Grace!”, the scream echoes around the walls, and Grace jumps. She’s terrified, her heart feels like it’s going to break through her ribs and she can’t...she can’t do this anymore. It’s too much.

She suddenly loses her grip on her gun and it clatters to the ground. Her eyes widen and she freezes up. Gideon pauses his search, and Grace can hear him stalking closer and closer to her. Her breath catches in her throat.

“Ah, there you are...my hope”, there’s a disturbing hint of glee in his voice, like he’s just caught his prey after hours of hunting, and Grace supposes that this is exactly what that is. She’s his prey, what he’s been looking for this entire time. Years of his life has been spent on tracking her down, on taking her here.

She kicks out when he tries to grab her wrists, but that only aids him in grasping her ankle instead and he pulls her toward, his large fingers wrapping around her flesh with ease, not caring how he treats her, even as her body moves with the force of his action. Her back hits the floor and she cries out as her head slams into the wood. She can barely see now, the corners of her vision turning black as she frantically looks around.

She struggles as much as she can, kicking with her other leg to hit his wrist over and over again, but it did nothing. Grace didn’t have the kind of power she needed to stop Victor.

He picks her up like she weights absolutely nothing and slings her over his shoulder, carrying her into the office next door. Grace is still screaming, thumping his back with closed fists and he closes and locks the door behind them.

“Fuck you!”, she spits at him, still struggling pointlessly as he places her down on the desk so gently that Grace suddenly thinks he’s lost his mind.

“You have been all I have wanted...for years, I have tried to track you down. For years...I have waited for this, for you...longed for you”,  he’s taken a seat in the leather chair, facing her as he runs his hands up her thighs, “you have been my life, my dear...you are my hope.”

Grace is far too scared to move, all she can do is just sit there in stunned silence. She doesn’t know what Victor wants from her anymore. At first she’d thought maybe it was her blood when she’d found herself waking up with a needle in her arm. Then she’d just assumed he needed her because she was a ‘key’ for Elpis. But now, now...it seemed like he wanted much more from her.

One of Victor’s hands went to Grace’s neck in a silent warning. Don’t move. The other made it’s way up her thigh to her chest, groping her breast over her thin t-shirt. He let out a low hum of approval as he stood, towering over her, his hand roaming back down to unbutton her jeans. He pulled the zipper down, all while Grace stayed completely still.

Fear had over taken her, her body frozen and her senses ignited. Every touch of Victor’s hands on her body felt like it was burning her skin and disgust started to bubble up in her gut.

She lets out a yell of surprise when he rips her shirt from her body, the pull of the fabric against her skin making her flinch. She can’t see his eyes throw the visor but with the way he’s tilting his head Grace knows his eyes are tailing over her body. She wants to get up and run, run until she can’t feel her legs anymore and she can finally find someone to help her, but she can’t, not with Victor’s hand gripping her pulse point.

Then Gideon did something Grace didn’t expect.

He removed the visor.

Grace stared into his eyes for the first time, and the manic look in his eyes made her want to turn away right away, but she held her ground. Gideon tugs her jeans down over her hips, turning the clothing into unusable fabric as he tears it off her body, his hand immediately reaching out to spread her legs. He stepped between them, crowding her again.

“Beautiful...”, he whispered to himself as he thumbed at her clit through her underwear, ignoring Grace’s noises of protest, “yes, beautiful, my dear...so beautiful...so perfect.” Grace let out a chocked off noise as he pressed a little harder.

His hand slid from her neck, resting on the side of her face as he pushed his thumb past her lips, pressing down on her tongue and making her gag around it.

“Be good...”, he warned, the growl in his voice coming back, and Grace forced herself to nod slowly at him. She couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, all she could do was lay on the hardwood of the desk and wait until he was satisfied with her and left.

He shoved her back against the desk, the air being pushed from Grace’s lungs as Gideon pulled her underwear down her legs, discarding them on the floor somewhere.

Two large fingers were plunged into her without warning.

Grace screamed.

Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, threatening to flow down her porcelain cheeks, but there was no way she would give that bastard the satisfaction of seeing her cry. She sniffled, trying her best to turn away from him but Gideon’s thumb in her mouth kept her there, staring back into the eyes of the monster.

His scarred fingers felt grotesque inside her, pain blooming inside her once more when he slid a third finger next to the others, stretching her open more than she thought possible.

“V-Victor...”, she sobbed, “yuh—you don’t have to do this! I’ll do it, I’ll release Elpis—please!” Gideon only tutted at her, mocking her in a way that enraged her more than it should have.

“You...my dear, would have released Elpis for me anyway”, he says, matter-of-factly, like he’s so fucking sure that wouldn’t have rather killed herself in front of him that do what he asked of her.

Grace grimaced as Victor mumbled praises above her, his pace rough and punishing as he added a forth finger beside the rest, thrusting and curling and exploring her insides. She’s so fucking uncomfortable, more than uncomfortable, she’s in fucking agony, probably torn and bleeding onto the doctor’s hand.

“Shhh...shhh, it’s alright, Grace...good...so good”, he whispers, his thumb pressing down on her tongue harder, forcing another gag from her and he chuckles at her reaction. His voice fills her ears, her mind, and Grace wants to throw up.

When Gideon withdraws his fingers Grace feels as though she should be grateful, but she can’t be, not when he knows he’s not finished with her. Not when she knows what’s coming next.

She looks down as Gideon frees his cock, another bout of terror striking her when she sees it. It’s big, too big...no human should be like that. Grace scrambles backwards, his hand falling from her face for just a moment until a heavy hand is grabbing her by her waist and pulling her back towards him.

Grace lets out a scream of frustration, beginning to sob again as Gideon pushes inside her. The stretch is unbearable, but she can’t move. It hurts, it hurts so fucking much, and Grace really doesn’t think she’s surviving this because she can’t do this...it doesn’t fit.

Hurts, hurts, hurts...please.

She wails when he begins to move, shallow thrusts turning into full snaps of his hips over and over again, and her body moves with every one. Her arms remain limp by her sides, having no fight left it her and she stays like that in silent agony as Victor uses her body.

He grunts above her like an animal, a monster, mumbling words of praise to Grace that she doesn’t want to hear from him as he takes her waist in both hands and drags her body down onto his cock to meet his thrusts.

Her tears stopped flowing a while ago, now just silent sobs that she can’t control as he ruins her, stretches her open for his pleasure and makes sure that he’s engraved into her mind forever. That she’ll never forget this.

Victor spills inside her with a low groan of her name, and Grace gags as she feels his seed filling her, oozing out of her a second later when he’s pulling out of her and smearing his cum over her cunt with the tip of his cock.

Grace doesn’t say anything as he redresses in front of her, she’s still crying too hard to form a word of any kind, and she watches as he turns to leave the room.

“You will release Elpis, Grace, remember that. For you...you are my hope.”

Victor leaves her without another word, shutting the door behind him, but Grace doesn’t move. She can’t be sure that he’s really gone. Can’t be sure that he’s not waiting for her to move so he can grab her again.

She waits on the desk and cries, she can’t bring herself to do anything else. She needs to make sure Leon is okay, needs to get Emily out of this awful place, but she can’t move. She feels so weak, so pathetic that she can’t even muster up enough strength to get up off the fucking desk.

Grace lets out a guttural scream.

“Fuck!”
