Chapter Text
It's been four weeks since Izuku started working at the Half Moon nightclub; if he's being completely honest, he never imagined himself in a job like that when he was younger, but right now he's struggling with money (the man whom he once called 'Dad' but was never there for him, took everything Izuku had when his mother died).
Even if it's not what he dreamed of, this job pays quite well; the problem is that sometimes the bunny boys, girls and people often fear they might upset the wrong type of client. From the moment Izuku set foot in that place, he was told never to say a thing about the people who went there to have a good time; the owner didn't say it out loud, but it's pretty much obvious that the clients of the Half Moon don't make money doing something legal.
Other than that, it's a decent job; Izuku has to wear a tight, but not too revealing bunny outfit, there are other bunnies who wear less clothes than him because they have to perform on the stage. Some of his coworkers even find a nice private room to spend a few hours with the person who pays the right price.
He finds it weird that some of the clients ask for his bunny code (in order to purchase a night or a few hours with him), because all his life he had been told he was nothing but plain. Whatever the reason they choose him, Izuku has to remind them that he's there to serve drinks and perhaps chat with a few if they so desire.
Despite being really powerful people, they follow the rules and even though they seem disappointed, most of them pay Izuku extra cash so he can keep bringing them drinks and chat with them for the whole night. A few place a hand on one of his knees or even his thighs while they talk about their lives with Izuku, and even if that's not included in his services, he doesn't mind as long as they don't touch him in an inappropriate way.
However, sometimes he feels bad, because keeping his mouth shut about the clients might keep him alive, but at the same time it's like he's being on the wrong peoples' side.
Maybe if he saves enough and manages to buy himself his own place, and doesn't have to pay rent for a small apartment anymore, he'll be able to leave the nightclub and find himself a nice daytime job.
He sighs, fixes his fake bunny ears that the bartender playfully messed up and leaves the counter to bring the drinks to the newcomers. Fortunately, they have already spotted another bunny to keep them company so Izuku can go back to the bar once he gives them the drinks.
"He's here!" he hears a bunny girl whisper next to him; there are a few workers and bunnies gossiping about someone who just arrived.
"Deku!" another bunny calls him, the man is handsome and very tall, he's often called by the female clients because of his physique.
When you're working in a place like that, surrounded by dangerous people who have a lot of money and power, it's better to take certain precautions; the owners allow the bunnies to chose a nickname so no one gets to know their real one.
Of course, if one of the clients wanted to find out, they could do it quickly, but the nicknames make Izuku and his coworkers feel a bit less exposed.
"Since you're basically a baby bunny," the tall man says, using the term they have for the new workers. "You probably have no idea who he is, right?"
From a safe spot (there are too many people around for anyone to catch them staring) Izuku follows his coworker's gaze and notices that a tall blond is sitting in one of their VIP couches, already surrounded by bunnies who want his attention.
He's a very handsome man, and it seems he knows how to dress well; he's wearing a black suit with a dark red tie and vest; the vest looks even better when the blond takes off his fancy suit jacket.
"I have no idea," he says sincerely, still looking as the blond rolls up his shirt sleeves to reveal snake tattoos on his arms.
He looks dangerous.
"He's Dynamight!" a bunny girl says, joining them. "He basically owns Japan. They say the others are afraid of him, and even if they don't work for him directly, if he says they need to do something they agree without a second thought; it never ends well for the person who says no to him."
Izuku shivers, glad the area Dynamight is at is not assigned to him.
"Do the others know?" He narrows his eyes, intrigued about the number of bunnies who try to get his attention, he ends up snapping at most of them and then asks an unfortunate one for a drink. "Why does it seem like they're fighting over him?"
"Because they say he doesn't have a partner," another explains, pouting. "And a lot of bunnies here want to catch his eye to quit and live a life of luxury and power, besides, he's really hot."
Izuku can't deny that, but he doesn't think that kind of life is worth the risk, also, he doesn't seem like a nice man; he's very irritated at the moment, and judging by how he glares at the bunnies, it seems he's not that interested in any of them.
"Doesn't look like he's enjoying himself," Izuku observes.
"He probably doesn't like this place very much," the tall bunny says, crossing his arms over his broad chest. "We don't see him very often, and when he does come is to make business with the other clients."
Izuku nods, making a mental note to stay away from him.
After that, he spends the rest of the day bringing drinks to a couple of his clients and sitting next to one for a few hours after they requested it.
Then as he gets up, noticing his arm bracelet going from red to green (meaning that he's available to keep other people company) he leaves the couch where he was sitting and hears his bracelet make a sound.
He assumes it's the same client, so he stops, but before he can turn around to go back, a hand on his shoulder prevents him from moving, pulling him closer to a broad chest. This man is taller than the one Izuku was with a few minutes ago.
"That was me," a deep voice says, close to his ear; Izuku is already smiling before turning around, but he can't help gasping when he notices that the man next to him is Dynamight himself.
The blond shows him his smart phone in order to prove that he just booked Izuku for the whole night. At least he already knows his services don't go beyond having a nice chat, because the app is quite clear about the types of bunnies there are and the services they provide.
"Well, let me know what you'd like to drink and I-"
"No, baby," Dynamight smirks, hand sliding down his back until he grabs Izuku by the waist. "Someone else will bring us the drinks; I just want you to be with me."
Cheeks still red, Izuku nods, even though it clearly will cost him more to have a bunny for the drinks and another one to keep him company. Nervous, but aware that the bunny girl, one of his coworkers and a good friend, will give him a drink with just a splash of alcohol, Izuku tries to relax.
"What's your name, baby?" Dynamight surprises him by leaning closer to Izuku and staring him with a very fond smile on his face already.
"Deku."
The blond narrows his eyes, but Izuku doesn't blame him. It is a very peculiar nickname the one he chose for himself.
"That's not a name, that's an insult," he retorts, almost offended on behalf of Izuku. "Did someone make you choose that one? I can talk to them, they'll listen to me."
Even though he says it calmly, his tone is dangerous and confident; like he's sure no one will be able to say No to him.
"It's a long story, but I chose it myself."
"I don't want to call you useless."
"It's... it doesn't mean the same anymore," Izuku mumbles shyly. "At least not to me."
After a few seconds, Dynamight nods, accepting his response.
"I still want to know your real name though."
"You know I can't tell you that," Izuku says, trying to be gentle. He doesn't want him to get mad at him.
Dynamight doesn't seem upset, on the contrary, he looks almost amused. With a smirk, he leans so close to Izuku that the young man thinks, for a moment, that he'll kiss him.
"I'm Katsuki," he whispers, chuckling at Izuku's shocked reaction.
"Y-you shouldn't have told me that."
"Why not? I trust you, you strike me as someone who can keep a secret."
Not knowing if that's a warning or not, Izuku nods, hoping the name slips from his mind the next day.
The blond narrows his eyes at his reaction, before leaving the glass of whiskey on the table in front of the couch they're sitting on. Dynamight cradles Izuku's face with both hands.
"You don't have to be afraid of me, Deku. I'd never hurt you."
Izuku is not entirely sure if he's telling the truth or not (he doesn't know him enough to tell the difference), but at least he sounds sincere.
In order to help him relax, Katsuki starts talking about his friends (he doesn't give any details about what they do, but he does mention they work for him) and all the things they do to tease him, even though he's supposed to be a very feared and respected man.
The green haired bunny has no idea if the blond is making all up or not, but he does enjoy the stories and even chuckles a couple of times.
Before he knows it, Katsuki has moved both his legs and put them over his own lap, so Izuku can be more comfortable.
Izuku cheeks turn slightly pink when he notices, but he doesn't make any attempts to move them away, because he's allowed other clients to touch him before.
Then Katsuki starts asking about Izuku and his hobbies; the green haired bunny usually doesn't talk about himself because his coworkers and his boss have said that rambling about manga and comics are not a good way to keep a client engaged.
He knows they're right, but at the same time, Izuku believes Katsuki is too dangerous to have as a regular client.
So he starts talking about his favorite fictional character: All Might, in order to bore the blond and make him ask for some other bunny instead.
But he doesn't seem bored at all when Izuku starts explaining All Might's childhood and his inevitable path towards heroism; actually, Dynamight seems pleasantly surprised.
With a few words, Izuku forgets that Katsuki is Japan's most dangerous man, and instead jumps into a very passionate discussion with his client because the blond dares to suggest that the bronze era All Might is better than the silvery one.
After a while, they both end up agreeing that the other has strong arguments to support his opinions and decide to call it a tie.
When the discussion is over, Izuku suddenly remembers he's with a crime lord and not an All Might's fan he met at a convention.
Before he can think about anything else, Katsuki leans closer and cups his left cheek softly.
"You're such a cute nerd."
The green haired man bites his bottom lip and turns his face away the moment his bracelet makes a sound to indicate that their time is over. However, when he tries to get up, Katsuki pulls him even closer.
"How much do you want to come with me?"
Izuku shakes his head, so flustered that he manages to get away from the other's grip and jump off the couch.
"I'm not for sale, Sir," he stammers.
Katsuki grins as he stands right in front of Izuku, blocking his way.
"I didn't mean the night," the blond explains, eyes turning deep red as his smirk reveals sharp teeth. "It's more like a permanent offer. You leave this place and stay the rest of your days with me instead."
Izuku tells himself that the offer is too crazy to be real, so he shakes his head again.
"It's alright, Deku," the blond mumbles after a while, taking one of his hands and pressing his lips to the back of it. "I'm a patient man, and I know how to get what I want."
Izuku shivers at the words, glad the workers around are clearly getting ready to close the place for the night. He closes his eyes for a second and heads to the small locker's room the bunnies have for their multiple suits. He tells himself Dynamight is a man who can have anything and anyone he wants; this is nothing but a whim of his. A fleeting desire that will fade away quickly.
