Internet Archive, Oh My!

Summary:

The Chaos started on December first. A video posted out of pure random, a minute past twelve in the morning, with the following caption on one Professor Gary Oak's PinsirGram.

I've unfortunately come to the frustrating conclusion that my childhood best friend is a completely hopeless in learning any social media apps I try and teach him. Truly a great shame as he deserves to be immortalized on the internet for person he truly is. So ladies and gents, I present you: The Internet Archive of the Trainer, the dual Champion, the Chosen One - Satoshi "Ash" Ketchum.

Notes:

I am desperately trying to find a way back into writing. Don't get a job in the funeral and cemetery business unless you're mentally built for it, it' is not for the weak of heart. Also, here is an ICarly reference as my comeback.

Location: Orange Isle
Age in video: Ash - 23, Gary - 24
Time: Early Morning

Chapter 1: What'cha Got There?

Chapter Text

The Chaos started on December first. A video posted out of pure random, a minute past twelve in the morning, with the following caption on one Professor Gary Oak's PinsirGram.

I've unfortunately come to the frustrating conclusion that my childhood best friend is a completely hopeless in learning any social media apps I try and teach him. Truly a great shame as he deserves to be immortalized on the internet for person he truly is. So ladies and gents, I present you: The Internet Archive of the Trainer, the dual Champion, the Chosen One - Satoshi "Ash" Ketchum.

The caption was posted with a video. At first glance it looks like one of the many regular video Gary has posted before, the camera was facing him and instead of the usual cocky smirk on his lips. Gary looked quite stressed.

"You legit can't leave the fucker alone for more then fifteen minutes." Gary groaned out. the scenery behind him moved as he walked forward. "Forced to take a leek in the woods and look-"

the video point of view changed as Gary flipped the camera around. Showing off the view of a shingle beach with a few figures up ahead. "This is what I have to deal with."

The sky was overcast with gray clouds, thunder rumbling off as a far distant threat of the incoming storm. The sea was reflecting the same energy. waves reaching further up the rocky surface then it normally did.

There's Pikachu and Umbreon playing tag with each other close by. Chirping at each other as they try hard not to get to wet from the sea waves crashing along the shore. Both loosing their balance every few seconds, the cobble was wet after all.

Further away was none other then Ash Ketchum. Dressed in white sweats, a brave choice considered the mucky day, a dark blue chunky knit sweater rolled up to Ash's elbows with equally blue slippers on his feet. The young adults hair was messy. Sticking up in all directions. Though, as Gary got somewhat closer and slowed to a stop, it was clear it looked like Ash was plucked right out of bed and magically placed where he was on the shore. Not a speck of dirt could be seen on him anywhere.

However, it was not Ash who truly commandeered the attention of both the Professor and the camera.

It would have been a comical sight; seeing such a strong legendary laying on it's stomach, with it's head and neck resting on dryer pebbles farther away from the water, as waves lapped at it's lower half.

The key words being it would be.

Lugia's dominating presence was so physical, it seemed to seep into the video it self. One red beady eye had switched from watching the Pokemon duo play over to Gary when the Professor finally stopped a couple yards away.

Ash was basically leaning against Lugia's cheek. staring straight ahead into the ocean while holding a steaming traveling mug against his upper chest with both hands. Looking like he was completely unaware of everyone's presence. His jaw stretches wide as he yawns. Not even bothered to cover his mouth before slowly smacking his lips.

"Hey, Ash!" Gary draws out, sounding both irked and hesitant at the same time. "What'cha got there?"

Umbreon and Pikachu dart by, just barely passing in the bottom of the video. Completely ignoring the issue up ahead.

Ash slowly turns to look at Gary. Clearly perking up somewhat when he realized who it was. With one hand, Ash raised his mug at the Professor.

"Coffee."

Gary let out an exhausted sigh. Wary and so expressively bone deep.

"No, the other thing."

Instead of looking to his right to Lugia, who was now watching Ash, he turned to Pikachu and Umbreon who scampered across the screen and a few feet away from him. Confusion so clearly plastered across Ash's entire face.

Another sigh. "No, to the right."

Ash did as Gary coaxed him to do. Slowly turning his head automatically to the right and up. Pausing for a few seconds before looking back at Gary and the camera with blank look.

"Gary, my dude. You seriously need glasses. There's nothing there"

"Oh you little-" The view quickly shifted downwards. Capturing Gary's legs, his pants and shoes coated with a hilarious amount of mud.
