"So... is there anything else I should know about?"

Robin sighs, leaning back against the tree. It's a warm November afternoon, and since she has the day off, her and Vickie decided to spend it at the park, scoring the best spot in the shade. Robin figures some alone time - well, not that sort of alone time - would be good for them, but she was delusional enough to believe she could avoid the Upside Down topic for longer than a week.

"There's, uh, a lot that's happened," Robin says, "and I know I've said it already, but I really am sorry that I didn't tell you before-"

Vickie stops her spiral with a gentle touch to her arm. "I get it," she reassures Robin. "I mean, if I knew about monsters and a nightmare parallel dimension I'd be pretty freaked out. And my initial reaction didn't exactly inspire confidence," she adds with a nervous chuckle.

"No, it was completely fair! I mean, if it were the other way around I'd also be worried for your sanity!" Robin says hurriedly, then sighs. "I'm stalling, aren't I?"

"Take your time," Vickie says patiently and, glancing around to confirm they're safe from eavesdroppers, adds, "besides, you're cute when you're flustered."

"Keep going like this and I'll die in your arms before the sun sets," Robin warns, although her grin kinda nullifies the threat. "Anyway, uh, nightmare monsters! Obviously we couldn't check the encyclopedia for their names, so the kids called them after creatures from a game. The first time I fought a monster it was the Mind Controller-Flay-Thing at the mall, but honestly the secret Russian base was much scarier."

"The..." Vickie seems genuinely at a loss for words. "What?"

"Secret Russian base under the mall," Robin confirms, unhelpfully. "Well, uh... for me it all started with Steve and Dustin deciphering a Russian code..."
