Dabi: dragon eel mer
He is a black dragon eel with bots of white along his body. He is the longest of the two eel mers in Shigaraki’s pod. The lower part of his face, arms, parts of his chest, neck and upper chest and below his eyes were black scales. He has long black claws like many other mers. His upper human body appears to be that of a 24 year old. No one really knows much about him or where he came from. The first time he entered the factory tank he and Shigaraki were at each other's throats. Since then, Shigaraki has him acting as his right hand.
Hawks: Lion fish/flying fish mer
A strange merman from the ocean. His hair is a golden blond color and his eyes are gold. He has large fins from both of his parents who were a lionfish mer and a flying fish mer. He has long spines on his back that contain the lionfish venom along with a couple located on the outside of his elbow that are hidden under the fins there. The large fins on his back have multiple means. The fins can be used to intimidate others and predators making Hawks seem bigger than he really is. They also give him the ability to glide just like a normal flying fish mer can. The large fins also help to corral young fry back to the pod and protect them from predators. He has scales along his forearm, neck, and two random black scales under his eyes. He ended up leaving his old pod and joining the Musutafu pod at 18 years old. He is around 22 years old at this time. He has an apprentice back in the Musutafu pod, Tokoyami. Hawks is actually his nickname that he prefers to use than his real name.
Toga: Vampire fish mer
Is now the only female mer in Shigaraki’s pod. She appears to be a 16 year old girl. Toga has blonde hair and yellow eyes. Her lower half is covered with silver scales. She has some silver scales along her upper arms and back. There are some very tiny silver scales that go along her cheek bones. She has long fangs that allow her to drain her prey of blood before eating them. She is from a breeding farm before being sold to the factory. She arrived at the same time as Dabi. Dabi is protective of her as if he was an older brother at one point.
Kurogiri: Hawkfish mer
He appears to be around his 30’s. His scales are black with a bit of purple highlights. There are scales along his back and lower arms. His eyes are a yellow color and the human skin is pale. He was bought from a breeder to a private collector. When Shigaraki was placed into the tank, Kurogiri took to raising the young fry. He and Shigaraki were sold along with their tank mates to the factory after their owner died.
Compress: Barracuda mer
He appears to be in his early 30’s. He has a long body that gives him bouts of speed. He was once in a traveling entertainment place like a circus. He was later sold to the factory. Kurogiri took to him quickly and he joined Shigaraki’s pod. He has pale skin, brown eyes, and brown hair. He has other silver scales on his upper arms and some black scales on his back and neck.
Shigaraki: snowflake moray mer
His lower body is a snowflake moray eel. His tail is a multitude of black and white spots and his eyes are red. Shigaraki has blue hair that is slowly turning white as he matures. His eel body is very long, enough to wrap around the others in his pod to keep them close. His human upper body appears to be around 21 years old. He grew up with Kurogiri in a private collectors' tank. Once the man died he was sold with Kurogiri and the others who lived in the tank to the factory.
Twice: Clown fish mer
He’s a clown fish Mer. His lower body is made up of black and white scales. The patterns are black and white striped. He has scales on his face that are white and are around his cheek bones, eyes, and forehead to his nose. He appears to be 33 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is from a breeder farm where there was a lot of inbreeding. He and many others were sold to the factory. Twice took to Toga and was allowed to join Shigarki’s pod. He has a unique way of talking as he contradicts himself with what he is saying.
Spinner: Gar
He has the most scales on his body compared to the rest of the pod. He appears to be around 25 years old. His scales are a variety of greens, he had purple hair and dark eyes. The breeding farm he was from specialized with genetics. This made it so that almost all their mers were covered head to fin in scales with no human skin. He and many others were sold to the factory. Spinner and Shigaraki got along quickly and he ended up joining the pod.
