Chapter Text
Grian was falling, and he was falling fast. Barely escaping the void and flinging himself headfirst into the first world he could get his hands on did not seem to be the strat he should have gone for.
The watchers would have caught him, otherwise, though. He had very little choice in the matter.
The ground was coming closer and closer each second, and he wasn’t sure how long he had left. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly in the final stretch, bracing for impact, and everything went dark.
Miles away, the server’s admin felt something akin to a lightning strike- but not to him, to the server’s firewalls. He sprung to his feet in seconds, already reaching for his elytra.
Upon arrival to the zone of the disruption, he pulled out his communicator and he sent a warning message to the server’s chat, consisting of the coordinates and orders to stay at least fifty blocks away until further notice.
He did a quick scan of the area, most of the terrain looking entirely untouched. Until he arrived at the very center point of the hill he was on.
Through the tall grass, his eyes settled on an unfamiliar figure. “A player,” he determined, looking closer.
He approached with caution, crouching in the greenery, but before he could reach the player, they moved on their own. A hand shot out, grabbing his wrist, dark eyes meeting his.
“What are you doing?” The player asked, jaw clenching.
“Investigating a possible threat,” X replied calmly, twisting his arm to counter their grip on his wrist. “To my own world, might I add.”
At that, the player withdrew their arm, though only after a little scare from X. “You’re the admin.”
“So I am. Will you calm down now?” The player scoffed. “I’m serious. I don’t know how you got in, but I need you to explain what you’re doing here.”
X stepped back, an olive branch of a sort. The player’s shoulders sagged, and they drew in a deep breath. “I just need somewhere to stay for a while. Until it’s safe.”
Xisuma frowned. “Why wouldn’t it be safe?” The player held his stare, eyes dark and unblinking, offering no answer. “Fair enough. Though, I will need to keep an eye on you until we decide what to do.”
The player nods. “I can deal with that for now. What’s your name?”
“Xisuma.” He replies, though no name is offered in return.
“Well, Xisuma, lead the way.”
