"A tiny crab?"
"Yes, indeed." Elliott began to reach into his shirt pocket, then clearly thought better of the idea and unbuttoned his shirt, shrugging it off and kneeling to lay it flat on the sand. "Look, see?"
And indeed, a tiny crab crawled out of the pocket, waving its even tinier claws threateningly.
It wasn't quite summer yet; the wind coming in off the ocean was a little chilly to stand around shirtless, even for a crab's sake. "Would you like to borrow a jacket? I found another in the mines."
Elliott looked up, surprised, and smiled. "Really? Marvelous!"
