Here's a little something for my Asgard variants from dimension 731274 :D
I think since Asgard prioritizes war and physical prowess so much, it makes sense for Asgard to be invested in gladiatorial sports and feats of strength. It's also the job of royalty to demonstrate the power of the crown, and having regular matches between the princes would be a great place for this.
Loki wins matches by knowing all the technicalities in the rule books, and Thor wins matches by pure knockout.
