Work Text:
"Move, and I'll blow your head off," Jason snarls, pointing the muzzle of the gun he managed to rip out of Ravager's hand at the alpha's head. "Let's find out if you can heal from that."
Ravager freezes. The red lenses of his mask flare and his mouth twists into a mocking grin. "You don't have what it takes to pull that trigger, baby Robin," he laughs. "What are your little Titan friends going to say?"
"They aren't here," Jason points out, his voice icy cold. Blood is pounding in his ears and there's a part of him that's probably scared, but in that moment the fear is far away. The only thing that matters is the gun in his hand, his finger on the trigger, steady and calm.
If Jason was going to worry about anyone's disapproval, it'd be Batman's. Jason doesn't care what the Titans think of him. However, in that instant, Jason isn't thinking about Batman. It's Willis he's thinking of: his father's large hands guiding Jason's small fingers around his guns, teaching Jason how to hold them, how to load and unload them, how to aim them, how to fire them, how to clean them. It's one of the few fond memories Jason has of his dad. Willis had been many things — a crook and a drunk, cruel and unpredictable at the best of times — but one thing he'd firmly believed in was that any child of his should know their way around weapons, omega or not.
Ravager twitches, and Jason presses the trigger, bracing for the ricochet. The bullet grazes Ravager's cheek, the gunshot echoing loudly in the room. "Move again and the next shot will be aimed at your throat," he says, still strangely calm, almost detached.
Blood spills from the wound and just as suddenly it stops flowing the moment Ravager's healing kicks in, faster than Jason expected. He's so fucked. He's alone in the Titan's tower, the others left to chase a lead on Ravager. A fake, giving that Ravager is here, and not wherever the fuck the Titans thought he ought to have been. Jason is alone. Left behind by Dick and his asshole friends because they thought Jason was too young to tag along. The moronic hypocrites.
"Cute. You misfired and want to sell it as a warning shot," Ravager says, still smiling that smarmy, mocking grin of his, but at least he's staying in place.
"I didn't misfire," Jason counters. "But if I were to blow idiots' heads off the moment they annoyed me, there would be very few people left in the world."
"Oh, my, you're a feisty one. And what would your glorious leader say about that? I don't believe Nightwing would approve."
"Given the fact that he'd be the first blown to pieces for the unforgivable crime of being annoying, he'd be too dead to voice an opinion," Jason counters. He just needs to keep Ravager talking. Stalling is the name of the game.
The Titans should be back soon. Jason's shot served two purposes, to intimidate Ravager and trigger the Tower's alarm. The others will be back at any moment. Jason just needs to keep Ravager distracted until they arrive.
Ravager's chuckles. "No love lost between you two, little Robin?"
"Duh," Jason says. "In case you didn't notice, he took his little Titan friends and left me behind, pea brain. Superhealing doesn't equate to superbrain it seems." Jason doesn't even need to fake anger. He's fucking pissed about it. Dick said he was too young and inexperienced to tag along and everyone laughed. Asshole.
"True enough." Ravager ignores the jab. "I was expecting to find the place abandoned while you all chased after ghosts. The welcome home surprise would've been explosive. You spoiled it."
"Skill issue," Jason taunts him, keeping the gun steady.
"Careful, or I might be tempted to leave them your head on a spike as a present instead," Ravager says, but doesn't move.
Strangely enough, Jason finds himself enjoying the banter. "They probably would like that way more than your explosive surprise. Nightwing might even thank you." Dick would probably love to have B all to himself again instead of having to share. He sure as hell is still pissed about Bruce letting Jason be Robin.
"I'll have to let you live then. It wouldn't do for me to do Nightwing any favors." Fake regret oozes from his tone.
"The only one letting anyone live here is me," Jason reminds him.
Ravager leaps to the side, rolling away faster than Jason can track. Jason fires and misses. He pivots and fires again and again. The bullets hit Ravager. His arm, his belly, his chest, but they don't stop him. Ravager laughs out loud and jumps, landing on his feet five meters to the left and pushing up as if it's nothing. Jason twists and fires, manages to hit Ravager's knee, but it's not enough to stop the man.
He's on Jason, two feet taller than him and twice as wide, 200 plus pounds of pure muscle with the added weight of armor slamming full force into him. The impact sends Jason flying across the room. He rolls with the blow, the way Bruce taught him. Miraculously, he manages to keep hold of the gun, but Ravager is on him before he manages to stand up again.
Jason's lost the advantage of distance and even though Ravager is bleeding from the gun shots, he doesn't even seem winded. At close range, Jason is no match against him. He's just a scrawny teen who'd been starving on the streets of Gotham less than nine months ago. For all that Bruce keeps stuffing him with protein and targeted resistance exercises, Jason's body has yet to catch up with the standard size of an omega his age, let alone an enhanced alpha ten years older than he is.
Ravager is massive, larger and stronger than Bruce. Larger and stronger than any alpha Jason has encountered before. It doesn't stop Jason from fighting.
If anything, the helplessness of the situation fuels him. He fights back with everything he has. Rage and determination making his blood boil. He slams his forehead against Ravager's nose, rejoicing in the satisfying crunch of cartilage and bone breaking. Ravager snarls, loud and deafening and Jason snarls back. Omegas who crumble in front of an angry alpha don't make it long on the streets of Gotham. Jason doesn't do submission.
His struggles prove futile regardless. Ravager manages to knock the gun out of Jason's hand and pin both his wrists above his head, before straddling Jason, using his body to trap Jason underneath him. Blood pours down his broken nose, dripping onto Jason's face, and Jason licks it when it falls on his lips, satisfied that even if Ravager kills him, he didn't make it easy for the alpha.
Ravager clasps both of Jason's wrists with one large hand and yanks Jason's cape with the other. The button keeping it attached around Jason's neck rips and rolls away. Ravager winds the cape around Jason's trapped wrists again and again, and continues coiling it down his forearms until it cinches Jason's elbows. He ties the ends of the cape together in an intricate knot that Jason can't see but can feel. He struggles against the hold, testing it, but the more he moves the tighter the cape gets, constricting him, until he can't move his arms at all.
"So tiny and breakable," Ravager purrs, looking down at Jason, waiting patiently for Jason to give up his futile attempts at escaping. He closes one massive hand around Jason's throat and presses down hard, stopping Jason from headbutting him again. He lowers his bloodied face towards Jason's with a satisfied grin, and licks his own blood from Jason's cheek.
Jason squeaks, trying to jerk away, but Ravager's hand on his throat tightens, cutting off his air. Panic takes hold of him as he tries and fails to breathe.
Ravager continues to lick the blood clean, loosening his grip on Jason's throat seconds before he's about to pass out. He sniffs Jason's neck. "Those blockers are very good. I can't smell your fear. That just won't do." His teeth and tongue worry at the scent patch as Jason gasps for breath, unable to move away from him. "I want to smell your terror before I kill you, little Robin."
Jason bucks beneath him, trying his best to break free but Ravager just laughs at him. It's like being buried underneath a mountain; there's no give. Jason snarls and tries to bite but Ravager knows better than to give him the leverage he needs.
Ravager mouthes Jason's neck, licking and biting against the blocker, right over his mating gland. It's driving Jason crazy. No one has ever touched him like this and his body doesn't know how to parse that intense, unfamiliar sensation. A part of him is responding to it, some twisted primal instinct enjoying the feeling of being overpowered, of having found an alpha strong enough to best him and keep him in place. Jason hates it. He snarls again and fights but it only serves to make obvious how much stronger and larger Ravager is compared to him.
The edge of the blocker patch gives, and the hot, wet tip of Ravager's tongue peals it further away, far enough to graze over the outer edge of Jason's mating gland. Jason snarls and Ravager laughs against his neck.
The patch peels further away and Jason knows when the smell, the truth of what Jason is, is out in the open. Ravager pauses and inhales deeper. "Oh, what a sweet surprise. A sweet, little omega for me to ravage." He catches the edge of the patch with his teeth and rips the rest of it away, spitting it out to the side.
"This night keeps getting better and better," Ravager says, before he leans lower, closing his mouth over Jason's gland and biting.
Jason shouts and arches, a sharp current of electricity lighting up all his nerve endings, traveling through his body, down to his lower belly, making his pussy spasm and contract. The throbbing pulses are new and overwhelming, and yet, somehow familiar. A hunger he hadn't been aware of until now, but that had always been there, lurking, waiting.
"Fuck off, asshole," Jason half growls, half pants, hating how trapped he feels, how helpless. And yet... his body loves it, too. Ravager is taller than Dick, broader than Bruce, by far the strongest alpha Jason has ever met. Superman might be stronger, but he isn't an alpha, doesn't smell like one, doesn't behave like one, his alien nature leaving him in a limbo that makes him look human even though he never quite smells right. Jason's never found himself at the mercy of an alpha as impossible as Ravager.
Ravager smells so good. His mouth feels like a burning brand on Jason's neck. "I'm gonna kill you," Jason hisses, bravado the only defense left to him.
Ravager chuckles. "You had your chance, baby Robin. You failed. It's my turn now. You needn't worry, though, I'm not gonna kill you. It'd be a pity to deprive the world of your delicious smell." He laps at the blood on Jason's neck with broad, hot strokes of his tongue, before biting again, breaking the skin further, marking Jason as his. "I'm gonna have my fill of you," he whispers against Jason's ear, punctuating each word with tiny bites. "Wreck your pretty cunt until it’s a gaping mess. When Nightwing comes back, he'll find his sweet, perfect toy ravaged, leaking cum from every hole. Do you think he'll want my sloppy seconds? Or will he be too upset that I got to you first?"
"I'm nobody's toy, not Nightwing's and surely not yours," Jason hisses, hating the way his voice breaks. The fear rises in him as he struggles and thrashes underneath Ravager to no avail. Where are the others? The alarm went off ages ago. They have to be back soon. Jason hates that he actually needs their help, that he can't free himself from Ravager on his own.
"I wouldn't be so sure, baby Robin, you so make me want to play with you, pretty little thing that you are. You have my mark on your neck and soon, you'll have my cum inside that tight pussy, filling you up so good, you'll be able to taste it in your mouth. You're going to look even prettier swollen with my pups after I've bred you properly."
"That's never gonna happen," Jason snarls.
"Quite the contrary, baby Robin," he says. "It's gonna happen tonight. Breeding you will be so very easy. You'll look gorgeous all round and plump, skin glowing and ready to burst with my pups."
"No," Jason says, trying to break away, desperate. It can't happen. It can't.
"Ah, there it is," Ravager sighs, sounding delighted. "That's how fear smells on you. I knew I could get you there. And now I want to know what your arousal smells like. I want to hear you beg me for those pups you seem to be so scared of, pretty thing. I bet that'll be even better than the smell of your terror."
"Get off me, asshole," Jason shouts, and tries to get his bound arms away from Ravager's hold, just so that he can slam them against his stupid, arrogant face.
Ravager's hold doesn't give an inch. "Let's make a deal then," he whispers against Jason's ear. "I want you to kiss me, pretty thing. Kiss me like you mean it. Kiss me like I'm the only person in the world you've ever wanted to kiss, and if I'm impressed enough, I'll let you go."
"I'm not going to kiss you," Jason hisses furiously.
"That eager to be fucked then, pretty thing? What a wanton wicked pet you're turning out to be," Ravager purrs.
"What! You delusional asshole!" Jason spits. "I want nothing to do with you! Let me go!"
Ravager covers Jason's mouth with a hand so large it manages to reach both his ears. It's heavy and strong. The material of the glove scrapes Jason's cheeks and he's once more painfully aware of how outclassed he is, trapped beneath the large alpha. Alone. Helpless.
"Listen carefully, baby Robin, because I'm only going to explain this once," Ravager says slowly, and the words are like the edge of a knife pressing against Jason's throat. "Either you kiss me like you mean it, until you're dripping with how much you want to kiss me some more, and then I'll let you go. Or," he leans in closer, "I force those pretty legs of yours as wide as they can go and I fuck you until you can't think of anything else but my knot ruining that tight pussy of yours for everyone else. I want to smell your arousal tonight, and one way or another I'll get what I want. The only choice you have is the how." He takes his hand off Jason's mouth and orders, "Pick, or I'll pick for you. What is it gonna be?"
Blood pounds in Jason's ears. A part of him wants to snarl, to fight, to tell Ravager that he can stuff his ultimatum up his own ass, but the other part of him, the street kid that was smart enough to survive Gotham, knows that if he does that Ravager will rape him. Ravager will probably do that anyway. This is just a game to him. A fat cat playing with a mouse that wasn't quick enough to escape. But cats make mistakes, and Jason has seen more than one mouse get away when the cat was least expecting it.
He needs to buy time. And he'd rather buy time kissing Ravager than... "I-I'll kiss you," he stammers, hating himself for the concession, even if they both know that the choice was never a choice.
Ravager's face breaks into a wide, pleased smile as though he's won the fucking lottery. He leans back on his haunches and beckons Jason up with his forefinger.
Jason wants to punch him, but he knows Ravager will use it as an excuse to... He swallows nervously and licks his lips. Ravager's eyes zero on the motion and there's a hunger there, so intense that Jason can see it through the mask.
Slowly, Jason rises up. It feels better than lying on the floor, even though Ravager is still straddling him. The cup of his suit presses tightly against Jason's green panties, hard and unyielding. Jason's glad that the protective material is thick enough to hide Ravager's erection. He doesn't think he could do this if he could feel the alpha's cock pressing against him.
He lowers his hands carefully, and a part of him wonders helplessly if a double punch to Ravager's chin would be enough to knock him out. Something must show on his face, because Ravager grasps the yellow cape around Jason's clenched fists and keeps them steady.
"If you try to break free, pretty thing, our deal is over. Do you understand?"
"I'm not a thing!" he hisses angrily. "And yes, I understand perfectly. Stop being an asshole," he says before he can think better of it.
"Careful there, pretty thing," Ravager warns. "We have a deal."
"I said I'd kiss you," Jason snaps. "I never said I was gonna be fucking polite about it."
Ravager chuckles. "True enough. Next time, I'll be sure to bargain for more. Now, be a brave baby Robin and stop stalling. I'm waiting for my kiss."
Jason swallows again, heart pounding. His eyes dart to the door but it might as well be miles away. He'll never make it before Ravager catches him. Where are the others? Why haven't they arrived yet?
He looks at Ravager, who's still waiting. His lips are large, and pinkish, one corner curled up mockingly, as though he can read each of Jason's doubts and useless plots and is just waiting for Jason to screw up so that he can have his excuse to... It's just a kiss. A stupid kiss. To buy time. Jason can do this. It's not that hard.
He scrunches his eyes close, hating himself and leans in. He presses his dried lips against Ravager's for a second and pushes back. "There!"
He knows it's not what Ravager wants but he can't do more than that. He can't. Not now. Besides, there's no point in giving the asshole what he wants immediately. Jason is still desperately hoping that the cavalry will arrive in time to stop all of it.
"Has nobody taught you how to kiss properly? Was that your first time kissing an alpha, pretty thing?"
"No," Jason lies, even as his cheeks redden. He's terribly mortified that the domino won't hide it. If he ever gets to design his own costume instead of inheriting Dick's cast off, he will get himself a full face mask.
Ravager chuckles. "I can smell the lie on you, baby Robin. Do you want me to teach you how to do it properly? That wasn't impressive at all. The deal was that you would impress me. What's the matter, baby Robin? Scared?"
"I'm not scared," Jason shoots back, piqued.
"It's all right, pretty thing." Ravager traces the blush on Jason's cheeks with his finger. "As long as you behave, our deal is still on." His thumb caresses Jason's lips. "You taste sweeter than you smell." He lowers his head and his lips brush over Jason's right cheek, the ghost of a sensation that sends goosebumps down Jason's spine, tripping him into a downward spiral of panic and despair. He wants nothing more than to push away and break free, but he can't.
He can't.
"Hush," Ravager whispers, his breath scorching hot against Jason's skin. "You'll like this. Everyone's first kiss should be memorable. I promise that you won't ever forget yours, baby Robin." The words are more a threat than a promise. "You'll remember my lips on yours, the taste of me, the feel of me, for as long as you draw breath. I'm gonna relish ravishing you."
Jason keeps his own eyes scrunched shut, trying and failing to control his ragged, panicky heartbeat, the fear in his veins and that other strange sensation that keeps mounting inside of him as Ravager's lips drag closer and closer to Jason's own.
He gasps a choked, little sound of surprise when their lips finally touch what feels like an eternity later. It's just a chaste peck that makes Jason clamp his mouth tight in a futile attempt to delay the inevitable.
Ravager laughs, amused and self-confident. Superior. Jason dreams of gutting him with a rusty knife and using his entrails as a Christmas garland on his bedroom's windowsill so that they are the last thing he sees before going to bed and the first thing he sees when he wakes up.
He stays still instead, letting Ravager's hot, wet tongue press against his lips, softly, insistently, determined.
Ravager's hands fist around Jason's hair and pull at the strands, the pressure increasing steadily with every refusal of Jason to open his lips. The contrast of the sharp, bright pain in his hair against the soft, almost gentle coaxing of Ravager's tongue against his lips makes him dizzy, the two sensations polar opposites that unmoor him.
Jason wants to hold out, wait for Ravager to lose his patience and demand for Jason to open his lips, but it never happens. The pain keeps growing in the silence of the room, bringing tears to Jason's eyes, tears that he can't stop for all that he hates the weakness of them. A small, barely there whimper escapes and that brief, involuntary defeat in their battle of will is all Ravager needs. Suddenly, his tongue is inside Jason's mouth, pushing, pressing, gaining access. His fingers loosen and the sudden, unexpected absence of pain makes Jason gasp, giving the older man the final yielding he'd been patiently waiting for.
Jason struggles then, trying to push him away, but his arms are trapped between their bodies, still bound by Jason's yellow cape, as useless and helpless as Jason feels. He tries to bite Ravager, but the man just moans and pulls Jason even closer, kissing him deeper.
The worst part is how good it feels. Jason wants to hate it. Jason hates it. But when they finally break apart only for Ravager to lower his mouth towards Jason's neck and bite again at Jason's gland, Jason hears himself moan, feels himself arch up into those teeth, feels the heat of arousal rush down his body like electricity, feels the embarrassing flush of wetness dripping from his cunt as it spasms around nothing.
When Ravager's lips close over his mouth once more, Jason meets them. His own mouth opening, moaning, needy. His tongue pushing against Ravager's, his teeth biting his lips until the kiss tastes like blood and it's no longer Jason the only one moaning, because Ravager is gasping, too, grunting, panting, sounding as desperate and out of control as Jason feels. It's heady. The sudden realization that he's the one doing this to the other man. It feels like a control. Like power. It's Jason winning, instead of losing to Ravager. It's Jason choosing instead of having the choice stolen.
It's a lie, of course, but at that moment, Jason is too far gone. The lie feels better than the truth and Jason desperately wants to believe it.
Without Jason realizing it, it stops being about stalling, about distraction or even about the deal Ravager forced him to strike. Jason forgets to second-guess every move, every sound, every yielding moan.
It's him pressing into Ravager now, pulling the alpha closer. He's the one pushing his tongue inside Ravager's mouth, twisting and sucking, drowning in the taste of the alpha, relishing his strength, the way he makes Jason feel small and fragile and contained. They surge against each other, gasping and grunting, pressing their bodies together. Pleasure is a heady drug erasing Jason's doubts and fears until the only thing that matters is feeling more of it, all of it.
"What the hell is going on here?" somebody shouts. There's a loud crash and Jason is being ripped away from Ravager. He whines, low and desperate, hazed with pleasure, dizzy with it.
"Get away from him!" Nightwing snarls and launches himself at Ravager, escrima sticks crackling with electricity as they connect against Ravager's raised arms. Ravager blocks them with ease, as unaffected by the electrical shock as he'd been by Jason's bullets.
Nightwing and Ravager crash against each other again and again, like waves breaking against a cliff. The other Titans join in, flanking Nightwing. It's seven on one. Nightwing, Starfire, Raven and Cyborg attack from the left while Beast Boy, Wonder Girl and Kid Flash attack from the right, cornering Ravager. And yet, despite being vastly outnumbered by the Titans, most of whom are also metas, Ravager easily counters and blocks their attacks.
Jason thought the Titans would win easily once they arrived, but there's nothing easy about it. Ravager matches them with surprising ease, moving faster than the eye can track. There and gone and there again.
Had he been toying with Jason from the beginning? Jason never was a match for the man. Jason presses himself against the wall, still too out of it to join the fight. A part of him reluctant to... His neck throbs with the pain of the bite and his lips are swollen and bruised from the kisses. He shakes his head, trying to get a grip of himself, to dispel the haze of arousal singing in his veins, the way a part of him watches Ravager keep the Titans' best efforts at bay and instead of fear feels pride.
Ravager laughs out loud as he sends Nightwing crashing against the far wall and then, turning to Jason, he says. "We'll finish what we started next time, pretty thing. I look forward to it. Dream of me tonight!" He blows Jason a kiss and jumps through the window, still laughing as the others give chase.
Nightwing rights himself, pushing aside the broken furniture and debris. He turns on Jason, fury evident in every line of his body. "You fucking whore! What were you doing kissing that monster? Have you no shame? He's a killer! An assassin! He's our enemy! And you were spreading your legs like a bitch in heat, you pathetic slut! I thought Bruce picked you from the streets; he never told me he picked you from a brothel."
It's too much for Jason. All of it. The shame of what he did, what he let Ravager do, what he enjoyed Ravager doing overwhelms him.
"Then maybe you should have come back sooner, you fucking asshole!" he shouts at Dick, and to his horror notices the way his voice breaks. "I sounded the alarm ages ago. It's your fucking fault! All of it! It's your fault and I fucking hate you!" He can't stop his sobs and he loathes that Dick of all people is the one to see him fall apart.
He runs away to his room, ignoring the way Dick calls after him and slams the door shut with his feet, locking it from the inside with trembling fingers as the tears fall down his face. He rips at the knot Ravager tied around his elbows, pulling at the yellow cape with his teeth, trying to loosen it. It takes an eternity. He's crying too hard to be able to concentrate and he hates how pathetic and dirty he feels now, helpless and useless. Everything he promised himself he'd never be. One of the edges of the knot finally gives and Jason pulls it apart, unwinding the cape and throwing it to the floor.
He hates it. The mark of Robin. The title Jason earned with his hard work, training every day for over six months until Batman said Jason had earned the right to go out with him at night and be Robin. He remembers how proud he'd been when he tied the cape around his neck, how powerful he'd felt. And now that memory is ruined. He'll never be able to look at the cape without remembering how Ravager used it to strip that power from Jason, to render him helpless.
He kicks the cape away and takes off the rest of the Robin costume with jerky movements, still sobbing uncontrollably. Dick's words keep replaying in his head like a broken record. Whore. Whore. Whore. Pathetic slut. He can't stop hearing them because they feel true.
He stumbles to the shower in his bathroom and sets the temperature to scorching, scrubbing his neck and face in a useless attempt to boil away the memory of Ravager, the taste of him, the feel of him. He scrubs until blood runs down his arms and then does it some more, crying all the while, feeling dirty and used, as though he'll never be clean again.
After a while exhaustion wins, and he slides down the wall of the shower onto the floor, hugging his knees, wishing to disappear. The scalding water keeps falling over him and Jason lets it, burying his head in his knees and crying brokenly until his tears run dry and the water gets icy cold.
With shaking knees he pulls himself up and closes the faucet handle. His whole body throbs with pain. He barely recognizes himself in the bathroom mirror. His body is covered in large bruises, around his arms, ribs and legs. Blood oozes from the scars his nails left and his neck is a total mess. Whatever damage Ravager's teeth did is compounded tenfold by Jason scrubbing the wound raw in a useless attempt to erase the mark, to obliterate the memory of Ravager's teeth and lips against it. He's too tired to cry again. There are no tears left in him. He feels empty and broken, dirty and used.
Like a whore.
He wishes nothing more than to forget this day ever happened, to never have come here. But Jason knows all too well the futility of wishes. He spent all of his childhood wishing for things that were never meant to be. This is just more of the same. He needs to get over it and move on.
He opens the door of the bathroom and freezes. "What do you want?" he snaps.
Dick's eyes widen when they see him. "You're hurt," he says, sounding surprised. He stands up from Jason's bed and takes a step closer. He's not wearing his domino any longer and the pity on his face is very easy to read.
Jason hates pity. "I'm perfectly fine. Leave. I don't want you here."
Dick stops in his tracks, and takes a step back, keeping his hands where Jason can see them, as though Jason is a wild animal ready to bolt. "I'm sorry, Jason. I had no right to say those things. I-We watched the surveillance video and... I understand why you did what you did. I'm sorry I jumped to stupid conclusions. I shouldn't have, not without talking to you first to learn the whole story. You did what you had to do. It was the right call."
"I don't need your fucking approval, Dickface," Jason snarls, wanting to punch him. "Get the fuck out!"
"Alright, alright," he says, raising his hands in surrender. "You have every right to be angry. I was totally out of line. I get that you don't want to see me now, but I'm sending Donna in. You need those wounds taken care of. You're still bleeding and—"
"I said get out!" Jason screams.
The door of his room opens again, because of course it does. It's Kory. "Dick, let Jason be. He wants to be alone and you need to respect that."
"I'm leaving," Dick defends himself. "But someone needs to look at his wounds. He's hurt."
"Well, that someone isn't going to be you. Go!" she snaps. "Alphas," she grunts angrily after Dick has left. "Is it all right if I have a look at those?" She points to Jason's neck. "He's not going to stop until... If you don't want me here, I can call Donna, or somebody else. You were very brave, you know. Very clever, buying time like that."
"It didn't feel like it," he says before he can think better of it.
Her smile is sad and knowing. "It never does," she says. "But you got through it. That's the only thing that matters."
"What would you know?" he mumbles. She's a stupidly powerful alien that would've probably managed to fight Ravager to a stalemate until the others came.
"More than you think," she counters. "Maybe one day I'll tell you the story, but not today. Would you let me look at your wounds?"
Jason's too tired to argue, so he just nods, wanting to get it over with. She's surprisingly good at it, telling him what she's going to do before she does, keeping a steady, soothing stream of talk as she cleans and bandages his neck and then tackles the scratches.
"These are pain pills," she tells him.
Jason would rather stab himself with a knife. "I'm fine. I don't need pills. I just want to be left alone."
"Okay," she whispers and smiles at him. "I'll leave the pills here in case you change your mind."
"Just go," Jason says, feeling as though he'll start crying again if she doesn't.
Kory smiles sadly at him and says, "Okay. Good night." She closes the door behind her and Jason crawls into his bed and closes his eyes, waiting for a sleep that never quite comes.
He feels like crap the next morning. Everything fucking hurts and the bruises look even worse than they did the day before. Jason ignores it, willing himself to pretend nothing happened. He puts on jeans, a long sleeve sweater with a wide turtle neck and covers himself in so many layers that there's barely any skin visible. It's probably the most covered up he's ever been since he put on the scaly panties, but just imagining walking in front of the Titans with as much bare skin as the Robin suit shows makes his stomach twist. Civilian clothes it is. If Dick has a problem with that, he can go jump from a ditch.
Jason will go outside, get breakfast, ignore everyone and pretend he's fucking fine.
It kinda works for a bit. The Titans greet him carefully. They are fucking nice to him, which is a total joke. They've been assholes to him since Jason arrived.
Dick is the worst, treating Jason like he's made out of eggshells. It makes Jason want to scream at him, but he keeps shoveling cereal down his throat, ignoring everyone.
It's not his best strategy but it's working and that's all Jason can ask for. And then things go to hell again. The doorbell rings and Wally flashes down to open it. He comes back a couple of seconds later carrying a huge bouquet of lush red roses. Dark dahlias, blue salvias and forget-me-not's pick through in between the roses, each of them carefully arranged to create a work of art that steals Jason's breath away.
"Wow," Kory and Donna both sigh. "Those are incredible. Who are they for?"
Wally picks the envelope tied to the bouquet and says with a grin and a wink, "Jason."
"What?" Jason asks, taken aback. No one has ever given him flowers before.
Roy chuckles and claps Dick on the shoulder. "Now we're talking! Well done, Dickie. That's how you apologize properly. Nothing says I'm sorry for being an ass better than flowers. Omegas dig that shit."
Donna smacks Roy on the back of his head not too gently. "There are not enough flowers in the world to make an omega forget that you're an ass, Roy." Everyone laughs, except for Dick and Jason.
Jason feels himself blush, because the bouquet is beautiful and a part of him is touched by the fact that Dick organized it on such short notice. He must truly feel sorry for what he said.
"They're not from me," Dick says, in a wary tone.
Jason freezes at those words. He takes the envelope from Wally's hand, and dread pools in his stomach. It doesn't spell Jason at the top, but Robin. Even before opening it and pulling the note out with numb fingers, Jason knows who it's from.
No flower will ever smell as sweet as you do, Pretty Thing. The taste of your lips is branded into my soul. I can't stop thinking of you, baby Robin. Did you dream of my lips the way I dreamt of yours? Eternally yours, Ravager.
Dick picks the note when it falls from Jason's hand and snarls as he reads it. "That monster. I'm going to kill him when I see him next," he roars, with so much rage that Jason takes a step back. Before anyone can do anything Dick yanks the bouquet from Wally's fingers and tears it apart furiously. The petals fly around him and fall to the ground, blanketing the kitchen floor. The smell of the flowers wafts everywhere.
No flower will ever smell as sweet as you do, Pretty Thing.
Jason watches the destruction numbly, detached, like everything is happening to somebody else. Dick is a storm of berserk fury. By the time he's done, there's nothing left of the bouquet except for a sea of petals covering everything.
"I'm going back to my room," Jason says calmly, his voice sounding absent to his own ears, odd and vacant, not like his voice at all. He turns around calmly and takes one step and then another and then another until he's in his room. Nobody follows him.
He closes the door and locks it and stands there, not really knowing what he wants to do next.
His lips feel bruised and tender from the previous night. Did you dream of my lips the way I dreamt of yours? Jason touches them, remembering.
Distantly, he realizes that those were the first flowers anyone had ever sent to him. Ravager already ruined Jason's first kiss and now he ruined one of the most romantic things Jason has longed for. He wonders brokenly what the man will ruin next. When the tears start falling, Jason lets them come.
Life goes on. At least the Titans don't leave him behind again. Dick insists on Jason coming with them on missions. Maybe it's an apology. Maybe it's just him worrying that Ravager will ambush Jason once more. After a while, Jason stops being bitter about the fact that it took Ravager assaulting him for Dick to give Jason an actual chance at being a member of the Titans.
Things do get better. Jason proves again and again that he can keep up. He saves their sorry asses more times than the Titans save Jason's, and yes, he's absolutely keeping count. After a while it stops feeling as though Jason is an unwanted tag-along everyone is hoping to get rid of.
And then, Ravager happens again. They aren't even expecting the man to be there. They're intercepting a smuggled cargo from the Brotherhood of Evil when Ravager crashes the party.
"Did you miss me, baby Robin?" he asks, landing in front of Jason and bowing to him.
Jason doesn't hesitate. He kicks Ravager's face with all the strength he can muster and grins madly when he hears Ravager's nose break.
"The only thing I miss is a bullet in your head," Jason snaps.
But before they can engage further, Nightwing is there, breaking position and giving their advantage away like an amateur. "Get away from him!" he roars, launching himself at Ravager without any of his usual finesse.
It goes downhill from there. "You can't get in the way of true love, Nightwing," Ravager taunts. "The baby bird was made for me. He already bears my mark on his neck and soon he'll bear my mark everywhere else, too."
"Over my dead body," Nightwing says, slamming into Ravager and forgetting everything else. They take to the rooftops, disappearing among the smoke as Ravager jumps and Nightwing gives chase.
The other supervillains corner the rest of them, and without Nightwing there, the whole battle turns into total chaos. They lose the upper hand and that's before Cyborg and Beast Boy are knocked unconscious, forcing the Titans to retreat further.
"This isn't working," Jason hisses. "Starfire, Kid Flash, take the two of them to the plane. We need to retreat. Speedy, Wonder Girl, help me cover them." Nobody questions his command. Wally and Kory take the others and go, using their speed to escape while Donna, Roy and Jason provide the distraction. It ends up with the three of them fighting a dozen goons, their backs to each other, trying their best to keep the upper hand while they wait for Wally and Kory to return. They barely manage to make it out, a bullet hitting Roy in his arm and another catching Donna in a leg.
They don't know where Dick is, and it takes precious minutes of Donna flying the plane through the rockets the Brotherhood keeps launching at them until they finally manage to localize him, miles away from the compound, still fighting a laughing Ravager. Jason is so pissed he could murder Dick himself.
"Get him out of there," he tells Kory. "And if he fucking protests, blast him in the face with a bolt."
Kory laughs. "Aye, aye, captain."
The shouting match lasts all the flight back to the Tower and takes over the post-mortem. The worst part is that Dick refuses to accept he fucked up. He jeopardized the mission because he didn't trust Jason to handle Ravager for the five fucking minutes it would have taken for the others to get in position without blowing their cover. Jason is so fucking pissed, his blood is boiling.
He goes to his room and slams the door shut, still seething. He takes off his costume angrily, still itching for a fight. A folded piece of paper falls from his right boot when he takes it off and Jason picks it warily.
He recognizes the handwriting immediately and his heart jumps.
Mornings are my favorite part of the day, for every bird singing reminds me of you, baby Robin. Do you miss me? Do you touch my mark on your neck and remember how good it felt to be kissed? I want to devour the rest of you. Meet me on 39 Love Ln., Apt. 6A, Brooklyn, at 2 a.m. on Sunday. I'll be dreaming of you until then. Eternally yours, Ravager.
Jason crumples the note. He glances at the door quickly. The last thing he needs is Dick coming inside and seeing this. He rips the note into tiny pieces and flushes them down the toilet and then flushes the thing two more times for good measure.
It's a trap if he's ever seen one. Inviting Jason to a rendezvous in Love Fucking Lane of all places. What a fucking asshole. Jason snorts, impressed despite himself at the sheer brazenness. And when did he slip that note into Jason's boot? It had to have been when Jason kicked him and Jason didn't even notice it. He can't help but be a bit impressed.
The problem is that it doesn't stop.
Every encounter with Ravager ends up with Nightwing losing his composure and going after the alpha without any care, like a bull charging at a red flag. No plan. No strategy. Nothing. The moment Ravager so much as breathes near Jason, Nightwing loses it, and Ravager is too clever a fighter not to exploit such an obvious weakness. He flirts with Jason constantly, outrageously, tirelessly, to the point where it stops being annoying and it starts becoming funny.
Even Kory and Donna get a kick out of it. After a while, the other Titans join in in their little game.
"That was an amazing pick up line," Roy comments once, casually. "I might try that with someone later this weekend."
"That one might get you laid," Kory laughs. "It's really good."
Jason actually likes some of the lines despite wanting to hate them, and Ravager seems to notice what works, because he keeps refining his approach, tailoring it, until he has Jason blushing bashfully every time he says something despite Jason's best intentions to ignore the alpha.
No one has ever pursued Jason as relentlessly and tirelessly as Ravager does. Despite the rational part of Jason's brain telling him it's just a game to Ravager, he can't help the way it makes him feel flustered and intrigued. No other alpha has ever wanted Jason before. He's always been too geeky or too poor or too brash and unpolite for an alpha to look at him twice.
It's stupidly pathetic, but Jason can't stop his heart from fluttering whenever he comes back to the Tower after an encounter with Ravager and finds another hidden note tucked inside his boot, beneath his belt, in his collarbone, and once even inside his shirt.
He never catches the alpha at it. They fight and flirt and fight until Nightwing comes to put a stop to it, launching himself at Ravager with the fury of a thousand burning suns. And despite Jasons's attempts to figure out how the older man is managing to slip those notes inside his costume while they're fighting, he never catches him at it. All Jason has is that never dwindling stream of romantic notes, telling Jason how much Ravager misses and loves him, comparing him to the sun and the moon, praising his skill and his wit and always, inevitably, inviting Jason to the same apartment, again and again, only the time and date changing as time passes by.
Jason rips the notes and flushes them away, but that address is impossible to forget the same way the alpha himself is impossible to forget. Ravager has been the only alpha to ever desire Jason, and that is strangely heady. It makes Jason feel beautiful and wanted.
It's Victor who puts an end to it, making the whole card house implode into itself. They've just come back from another mission in which Dick failed to control his overprotective overbearing nature yet again, when Cyborg says, "I've had it with this. It needs to stop now, Nightwing. If you can't keep your cool whenever Ravanger goes after Robin, the kid needs to go."
"What?" Jason asked, reeling with shock. "I haven't done anything. How is Dick being stupid my fault?"
"Of course it's your fault!" Dick shouts, still worked up from the failed mission. "You keep encouraging him!"
"I don't!" Jason protests.
"Yes, you do!" Dick snarls. "You smile at his stupid jokes and blush at his cheesy pick-up lines and even when I tell you to stay away from him you keep letting him corner you in fights. You fucking love the way he lusts after you."
"No, I don't," Jason insists, looking at the others for back-up but their eyes shy away from him and they remain silent.
"You flirt back!" Dick hisses. "Today, you told him he needed to try harder to impress you."
"It's called banter, Dickface. You do it all the time. I was trying to distract him, not that it helped anything, since you destroyed what little advantage I managed to buy us. It's you who's being all stupid and irrational."
"I don't care," Dick says, taking a calming breath. "Cyborg is right. This can't continue. We have a mission in outer space coming up and we need to prepare for it. I'm sending you back to Gotham."
"What?" Jason says, feeling betrayed and hurt. "You can't do that. You said that you were taking me on the mission."
"I said I'd take you, if we meshed well working together, and we don't," Dick says. "We just don't. I'm sorry, Robin. This is my team and you're a distraction. Everyone can see that. Even you see that. Batman picked you. He gets to deal with you. I'm done."
"And you all agree with him?" Jason asks the others, even though he knows they will. Dick is their friend, and their leader. Jason is just the unwelcome kid nobody ever wants.
"Jason," Kory says softly, "you're still very young and the mission we're going on is very dangerous. I never felt comfortable taking you. There will be other missions. Maybe it's for the best if you put some distance between yourself and Ravager. I don't like the way he's fixated on you. It isn't normal."
That hurts. "Yeah, because an alpha wanting me is not normal at all," he sneers. "No alpha in their right mind would want someone like me. Is that it?"
"That's not what I said," Kory says, grabbing his hand, but Jason yanks it away.
"Fine, you want me to go? I'll go," he hisses. "I know better than to stay in places I'm not wanted. You can all go fuck yourselves." He runs to his room and stuffs all his things hurriedly into his duffle bag, fighting back the tears that want to break free.
It was stupid of him to think that Dick would ever approve of him if he tried hard enough. Dick made it perfectly clear from the get go that he'd never approve of Jason. He only tolerated him because Bruce forced him to.
He's snapping his duffle bag shut when the note falls from his glove. He hadn't noticed it before, but it's all he can see now.
You are magnificent, Pretty Thing. You move like poetry and fight like a storm. I can't wait to have that passion writhing under me. I've never wanted someone the way I want you. I dream of you every night. Do you dream of me, baby Robin? Meet me tonight at 1:00 am. Same address. I'll be there, thinking of you, waiting. Eternally yours, Ravager.
He crumples the note in his hand, and stuffs it in his bag. He wipes the tears that well in his eyes and takes a calming breath, checking the room one last time for anything he might have missed.
He opens the door and Dick is there, on the other side of the aisle, leaning against the wall, waiting. "Donna pointed out that I handled the conversation wrong. I know it's not your fault, Little Wing, and I'm sorry that I said it was. I was angry. People say and do stupid things when they're angry. You're not too bad a Robin after all, Batman's right about that." He gives Jason a winning smile as if that's a fucking compliment or something. "Still... I get distracted when you're around. It's not a good dynamic for the team, me babying you."
"I don't need you to baby me," Jason hisses.
"I know, Little Wing," Dick says placatingly. "But I keep doing it anyway. We all agree that you should go back to Gotham and stay there. Grow up a bit more. You're so tiny that it makes every overprotective big brother instinct in me go into overdrive. It's my fault, not yours, but you still need to leave. I'm sorry, Little Wing. Look, I'll talk to Bruce. I know you and him had a fight before you came here, but—"
"I don't need you to talk to Bruce. Go be sorry away from me," Jason tells him meanly. "I'm done here." He walks past Dick and leaves the Titans' Tower without saying goodbye to any of the others.
He climbs to a roof top and jumps away, gliding from one skyscraper to the next with ease, letting the biting cold of the evening cool down his anger. He stops at the top of a building and lies down to watch the night sky. The waning moon is just a sliver of light far away and the bright light of New York makes it impossible to see any stars in the cloudy sky.
Far away, a clock strikes midnight, the bells ringing slowly, one after the other, twelve times. Jason has never felt more alone. He finds the crumpled note in his bag and opens it, reading it again.
I've never wanted someone the way I want you. I dream of you every night.
It's a trap. Jason knows it, but he feels alone and unwanted. He never is good enough for anyone no matter how fucking hard he tries. He wasn't good enough for his father. He wasn't good enough for Bruce, who sent him here to learn from Nightwing because Jason was too violent, and now he isn't good enough for Dick and the Titans.
Just for once, Jason wants to be good enough without having to try so fucking hard. He wants someone to want him for himself. His hand goes to his neck, to the mark Ravager left there. A mark that tells everyone how much Ravager wants Jason.
Jason folds the note, straightening the creases in the paper as best he can and puts it away. It's the most stupid decision of his life but he thinks, Why the hell not? At least Ravager wants me.
He checks the hour. Yeah, he can make it to Love Lane before 1 a.m. with time to spare.
"Oh, pretty thing, I knew that sooner or later, you would come to me," Ravager says when he opens the door of the apartment. "It was just a matter of time."
"I'm not a thing," Jason tells him, crossing his arms, the stubborn certainty that brought him here deserting him in the presence of Ravager. Somehow he'd forgotten how massive the alpha is. Jason barely comes up to his chest.
The older man grins down at him, looming over Jason. "But you are," he croons. "The prettiest thing I've ever seen. The prettiest thing I've ever owned."
"You don't own me," Jason snaps, trying to push him away to no avail. Jason might as well try to move a brick wall; it'd probably have more give.
"Oh, but I do, baby Robin," Ravager whispers. "You're here now and I've no intention of ever letting you go. That makes you mine."
Before Jason can react, the alpha lurches forward and grabs Jason's arm, yanking him inside the apartment. He closes the door and brackets Jason's body between his arms, pressing Jason's small frame against it. "All mine now. I've spent months thinking of today, preparing this apartment just for you. Everything is soundproof, baby Robin, you can sing as loud as you want. I'm the only one who'll ever hear you. My pretty Robin, mine to do with whatever I want, and there's so much I want to do to you."
Jason should be terrified. He is. But there's something in him that likes it, too, how obsessed Ravager is with him. How much Ravager desires him.
He glances up at Ravager, feels those eyes burn into Jason as though the alpha wants to memorize every part of him. The scent of him is strong and musky, overwhelming. He's not using any blockers, has probably never bothered with them in the apartment. Everything smells of alpha inside.
He's so broad, so strong. Jason has seen him best the Titans again and again, best Dick. Jason should leave. He should've never come here to begin with, but he's here now and there's no place for him to run to. The Titans don't want him, and Jason isn't even sure if Bruce wants him back, not after the last fight they had, the fight that ended with Jason in New York. With Dick.
He swallows nervously and looks up at Ravager's face again. He has a gorgeous mouth. Jason remembers what it was like to kiss him. It felt good. Ravager made Jason feel good. He made Jason forget how much Jason didn't want to kiss him at first.
Jason wants it again. That mindlessness. He wants to forget how alone he is. He wants to forget Dick's hurtful words. If the others are going to accuse him of flirting with the enemy and encouraging Ravager, Jason might as well prove them right.
"I've thought about what you would do to me, too," he confesses. A dark secret he's never told before. Confusing, intrusive thoughts Jason never managed to completely erase. A part of him fearing and wondering in equal parts what might have happened if the Titans hadn't interrupted them that fateful night. No matter how much Ravager had scared him, a part of his mind kept going back to that night, remembering it. Wondering.
Ravager's nostrils flare and his lips curl into a small, wicked grin. "Oh, pretty thing, you're so sinfully delicious you ought to be illegal. And there's nothing, absolutely nothing, I enjoy more than a proper law breaking."
He lowers his head to kiss Jason, and Jason opens his lips and lets him, welcoming that demanding tongue inside, kissing back, letting desire and bad decisions push everything else away, until the voices telling him that this is wrong, that he shouldn't be enjoying this so much, go silent.
Ravager carries him to the bed as though he weighs nothing and places him in the center of the mattress with care before crawling on top of him, dwarfing Jason.
He kisses away Jason's doubts and fears. Large, experienced hands touch him in places Jason has never been touched until Jason is arching into Ravager, burning for more. It's Jason who unclasps the yellow cape and throws it aside. It's Jason who unlocks the protections of the Robin suit to allow Ravager to peel it away, one inch at a time, as his lips kiss and bite at the exposed skin, traveling down Jason's body, marking every part of Jason as his.
But more than the touches and the kisses, what undoes Jason, what has him gasping and clawing at Ravager, desperate for more, are Ravager's words.
"You're so perfect, baby Robin," Ravager tells him in between kisses. "The best mate an alpha could ever want. The way you smell." He breathes in Jason's neck as though he can't get enough of Jason's scent now that the blocker is gone. He nibbles his way down Jason's collar bone to his chest. "The way you taste." He laps at Jason's skin as he pushes one strong leg between Jason's thighs, forcing them to open. "The way you fight. My strong, perfect, clever thing. It made me so angry to see you with them." He punctuates that with a bite to Jason's nipple that makes Jason shout and squirm, his own legs entwining with Ravager's, pulling him closer.
Ravager kisses the pain away, sucking Jason's small tits until Jason is a whimpering mess. He wants more of those words. He wants to hear how much Ravager wants him. How much Ravager admires him. "Tell me," he demands. "Tell me more. Tell me everything."
"The Titans don't deserve you," Ravager continues in between kisses. "You're too good for them. Too good for Batman. Too good for any hero that won't appreciate the treasure that you are. It made me so angry when Nightwing tried to keep you away from me, as though you couldn't fight your own battles, as though you weren't ten times the fighter he'll ever be. Ruthless and cunning. Bloodthirsty. Strong. Perfect. Mine. You're mine, pretty thing, aren't you?"
"Yes, yours," Jason answers, because it's the only possible answer. Ravager wants him and Jason loves how that makes him feel.
"That's right, baby Robin. All mine." He opens Jason's belt and rips the green panties away, just enough to free Jason's erection. He thumbs it away, ignoring it, and trails his hand further down to the fluttering opening of Jason's pussy. He caresses the folds with strong, calloused fingers spreading the wetness everywhere, before bringing a gleaming digit to his mouth, his eyes never leaving Jason's. "You taste even better down here." He pushes Jason's thighs apart and settles between them. "Let's find out how loud I can make you sing, baby Robin," he says, and lowers his head, hot lips closing over Jason's clit.
He rips orgasm after orgasm away from Jason, making him forget everything, everyone. Jason barely notices when the first finger breeches him, when one finger turns into two, into three. He's a wreck of want and need, kept on the edge of an abyss that he's desperate to tip over once more, but Ravager pulls back at the last second, denying him that sweet release Jason has already learnt to crave.
"Come on, pretty thing," Ravager tells him, as he fucks his fingers into Jason's cunt in a maddening rhythm that's just this side of too slow. "Beg me to breed you. Beg me to fill you up with my pups. I promised you that one day you would beg for it, and I'm an alpha of my word. If you want my knot inside or you, wrecking that eager cunt, you're going to have to beg for it, baby Robin."
And Jason does. He begs Ravager to breed him, to mark him, to make him his, and when Ravager's large cock finally spears him open the scream that tears out of Jason is more pleasure than pain.
He loves to be filled, to be spread wide and pounded into the mattress, loves the way Ravager's hips thrust into him, how large the alpha feels inside as though he's carving his own place in Jason's body, ruining him for anyone else. Jason comes a fifth time, convulsing around Ravager's cock and it doesn't stop the man. It only makes him kiss Jason again as he fucks Jason through another orgasm, knotting him and filling him up again and again.
Jason falls asleep exhausted, Ravager's softening knot still inside of him, his strong arms surrounding Jason, keeping him warm and protected, making him feel sheltered.
He wakes up groggily, a taste of metal in his mouth. Birds are chirping outside, impossibly loud, as though all the birds of New York gathered outside the window just to sing. He opens his eyes blearily and finds Ravager sitting on the bed next to him, his mask gone.
"Good morning, sleepy head. How are you feeling?" Ravager asks. "That sedative knocked you out for longer than I expected." He sips from a steaming cup that smells strongly of freshly brewed coffee.
"Sedative?" Jason asks, feeling unsteady and dizzy.
"A mild one. Nothing too strong," Ravager explains. "Just enough to get those subcutaneous trackers out without hurting you. I might have misjudged how much you weigh, though. Gave you a bit too much, it seems. It kept you down for over a day."
"What?" Jason says, startled, as the words and their meaning starts to sink in. He feels out of it, as if everything is happening in slow motion. "What trackers?"
"The ones you had in you. You're mine now, pretty thing," Ravager says, leaning closer and kissing Jason's temple. "I don't like it when other people try to steal my things. Best stop those pesky Titans from finding where I've hidden you. If they ever decide to start looking, that is. They haven't yet."
That hurts more than Jason is willing to admit. He looks around, taking in the surroundings. This isn't the apartment they were in before. It's a house. Beyond the large window at the other end of the room, there's a thick line of trees that stretches as far as the eye can follow. This isn't New York. "Where are we?"
"Deep in the woods. A cabin I own up North. Private property. Nobody around for miles. Do you like it, little Robin?" he asks eagerly. "I bought it months ago just for you. You can go outside and run for miles before the anklets trigger."
"Anklets?" Jason pushes the covers away and finds two wide seamless metal bands clasped tightly around his bare ankles. "What?" He pulls at the things, turning them over and over trying to find the opening. There's none. They seem to have been fussed into one single piece, with no way for them to come off.
"It's just a precaution, baby Robin," Ravager tells him, still sipping at his coffee, looking very pleased with himself. "I know you want to be with me, but you're a bird at heart. Sooner or later, you'd have tried to fly away. I can't let that happen. I promised you that I'd never let you go and I'm an alpha of my word."
Jason looks at him horrified. "What? No!"
Ravager smiles at him, unconcerned. "I thought about chaining you to a bed in my basement, but you'd have hated that. Birds are meant to fly. I don't want you to grow bored or stunted. This is much better, isn't it? You can go outside, run, walk, explore the woods. I made the perimeter as wide as I could. As long as you stay inside, nothing bad will happen."
"And if I step outside your stupid perimeter?" Jason asks angrily.
Ravager's grin widens. "You'll find out soon enough, curious thing that you are. It's fine," he reassures Jason. "I won't get mad if you try to escape. I know you can't help yourself, baby Robin. But I also know how very clever you are. One or twice will be enough for you to learn better. Come on, let's get some breakfast into you."
"Are you insane? I'm not going to have breakfast with you after you just told me you've kidnapped me," Jason splutters, yanking his hand away from Ravager.
"Of course you will," Ravager soothes him, as though Jason's a small child. "You're much too clever not to. You're going to need your strength to try and escape. Starving yourself won't help with that. It's fine, pretty thing. I know it'll take years until you accept this place as your home and stop trying to escape it. I can be patient."
"The others will look for me," Jason warns him.
"Doubtful." Ravager shrugs. "They're so very busy with their upcoming mission. They don't have time to look for a runaway baby Robin."
"You don't know that!" Jason says, trying to sound convincing, even though he knows Ravager's right.
"Sure do," the older alpha says. "I've been spying on you for a while. The Titans aren't the only ones who can do surveillance. I've been listening in on their conversations for weeks. They haven't even called to check if you arrived in Gotham safely, and it's been almost two days. They don't care for you, pretty thing, and they don't deserve you."
"Batman will look," Jason says, and hates how weak it sounds, how unsure. B sent him away. Why would he look for Jason now?
"Joker will take care of him." Ravager replies, unconcerned. "He'll find some young omega that looks a bit like you, though not nearly as pretty," Ravager adds with a leer. "It'll be easy enough to implant the trackers I took and dress the boy up with your Robin costume so that he looks the part. Joker will smash his head in with a bat or a crowbar or something else, until it's swollen and broken. A well timed explosion afterwards and all Batman will have is a mangled, unrecognizable corpse to mourn and bury. He’ll move on. Joker's very eager to get started, thinks it'll be his best joke ever." Ravager waggles his eyebrows at Jason, inviting him to laugh at his awful pun.
Jason glares at him. "You can't keep me here against my will. I'll escape!"
"You'll try," Ravager agrees, sounding much too pleased with himself. "And I look forward to it. It'll be such a fun game to play. And nobody is gonna interrupt us this time. It'll be just you and me." His eyes trail to Jason's flat belly before he adds, "And eventually whatever pups you give me. Oh, don't look so scared, baby Robin," Ravager says. "The moment you bear me pups, I'll fake my own death and come be with you full time. I hated how my father left my mother, my brother and I alone to go fight useless wars nobody cared about. I swore to myself I'd never do that to my mate, and I won't."
He captures Jason's hand and pulls him closer, his eyes boring into Jason's with intensity. "I'll always be at your side, pretty thing, every day, every minute, every second. You'll never doubt how much I want you. You're mine, baby Robin, and I take very good care of my things."
Ravager pulls Jason closer, ignoring Jason's attempts to escape his hold, and kisses him. Jason tries to fight it, tries to push him away, but Ravager just laughs it away, holding Jason in place and kissing him some more. After a while those clever fingers start touching Jason in places that make him forget why he needs to run, why he has to escape.
Jason bites him and Ravager laughs, kissing him some more. He shouts at Ravager, promising to kill him, struggling against the larger alpha's advances. And yet, despite his anger, despite his fury, despite how helpless he feels trapped beneath the alpha, Jason's still wet and desperate when Ravager finally pushes into his pussy, making his body sing with pleasure.
Jason promises himself that he'll escape. He'll bide his time and wait for the perfect opportunity. Ravager won't see him coming. In the meantime, though, it's impossible to deny how much he enjoys the way Ravager owns all of him.
