Ced isn't happy with him, Seliph knows that. But when Julia's white magic had seemed to pull the dark magic out of Julius, Seliph had to try, he had to see if there was another way. So he had spared Julius-- for now, at least.
When Julius wakes up, he seems disoriented. Seliph still has his sword in his hand, ready for some trick of Loptous-- but no trick materializes, and all that seems to be left inside of Julius is the soul of a very scared, lost boy who had been living inside a nightmare for the past many years.
Seliph is mostly keeping it quiet that Julius had survived the last siege on Belhalla. His friends know, of course, and few of them are happy about the matter, but only Ced argues with him about it.
"On your head be it," Ced eventually says with a sigh before leaving for Silesse. Seliph will gladly shoulder that burden, to be able to see Julia-- his sister-- so happy at having her brother back again.
Julius is his brother, too. The thought is strange to Seliph, having not grown alongside him. Oifey and Shannan had been the closest thing to brothers to him, but they had been older than him and had taken care of him. Now, Seliph thinks, he'll have to do
