“POTTER!” Vernon Dursley’s scream had the walls of the house shake. “GET OVER HERE, NOW!”
The whole house shook, drowning out Harry Potter’s quick run and he was soon behind his angry uncle.
“POTTER!”
“I’m right here.”
Vernon turned around. “Oh.” His anger slight dissolved, but not by much. “We’re going on a trip.” He said easily. “You’re coming with for once.”
Harry blinked, completely confused. “What?” He never gets to go anywhere, and when he does get to go anywhere he’s forced to stay silent or stay in a steamy hot or bone chilling cold car. “But.”
“Don’t argue with me!” His uncle sneered, grabbing his shoulder and spun him around. “Grab your raggy coat and don’t doddle. Time is money! Make us miss that plane and you’ll regret it.”
Harry stumbled upstairs and quickly made his way to his room. He beelined for the desk, pulling out some paper and quickly wrote on it. “Hedwig.” He turns to her as he quickly rolled the letter up and gently tied it to her leg. “Take this to Hermione.” He gently stroked her feathers. “And stay with her, don’t go anywhere else ok?”
The beautiful snowy white owl chirped and flew out of the window, once she was gone Harry quickly grabbed the only coat he owns before hurrying out, meeting up with his relatives outside.
“About blasted time!” Vernon snarled, grabbing Harry and shoving him towards the car.
XxXxXxXxXxXx
Harry had no idea what was happening, one minute he was leaving Hogwarts after the tournament and of course Cedric’s death. Harry is now on an airplane sitting next to a man with white an brown hair and an accent.
“Hello.” He greeted friendly with wide toothy smile. “My name is Pietro.”
Alrighty deicing that it was going to be a long flight, and he didn’t have to sit next or near his relatives, Harry shook his hand. “Hi, I’m Harry.”
Pietro Maximoff nodded. “I like your accent.” He continued to be friendly.
“Thank you.” Harry nods. “I like yours.”
They fell into a comfortable silence, while the other passengers on the plane complained about Vernon and Dudley should had have their own seats.
Soon, it was quiet as the plane flew through the night ... well, sort of since Vernon and Dudley snored out of sync as the night continued on.
Harry took the time to look around, until Pietro gently tapped him on the shoulder.
“My adopted family live in America.” Pietro said. “My sister even married an American.”
“Do you like the guy she married?” The question had came out of his mouth before he could slap a hand over his mouth. “I, I’m sorry, that was very rude of me.” He stutters his apology.
Pietro chuckled. “James is a good man.” He nods with pride. “Treats my sister with care and like queen.”
Harry smiled a little.
“But doesn’t know how to cook.” Pietro continued, looking off into space. “Neither does Steve.” He then muttered to himself. “Must be a Super Solider thing.”
Harry didn't know what that meant, and he quickly chewed on his lower lip to stay silent about that.
XxXxXxXx
It was morning by the time the plane landed at the airport. Pietro helped Harry pull his bag down from overhead before grabbing his own bag and followed Harry along with everybody else off the pane and into the airport. Pietro watched carefully as Harry met up with his relieves who looked annoyed.
"Pietro!" Wanda suddenly tackled him and he stumbled back k a little.
"Easy on ribs!" Pietro gasped, trying to pray his sister off him. Clint Barton chuckled as he approached.
"About damn time you came back."
Pietro sped up to Clint and dropped his arm on Clint's shoulder. "Aw, the Old Man missed me." He teases brightly as Clint gives him the stink eye.
"Let's go home." Clint decides. "Don't want the kids to think I'm hogging the twins all to myself."
On the other side of the airport, Harry watched the reunion but was way out of earshot. He was pulled out of his thoughts when his uncle grabbed his arm.
"Let's go, Freak." He sneers quietly, not wanting the two security guards who walked past to hear him. "Stop being so sluggish!"
Harry still had no idea why they were in America, and he felt more then alone then ever.
As his uncle is shuffling him out, Harry took a glance over his shoulder towards the area he saw Pietro but he along with other two were gone.
"Get in the car, boy!" Vernon hisses, shoving him to the backseat of a taxi.
"Daaaaaaad!" Dudley whines. "Where are we going? I'm hungry!" He wailed.
"Once we get to our destination, son." Vernon told him nicely, like always.
Harry presses his lips together and bites. Whatever happened on this trip, he had a strong feeling he's going to be blamed for whatever Dudley breaks.
Which is normal.

Flashback
Vernon stalked into the living room, a notebook clutched tightly in his left hand. “Petunia, what would you say we have reason to get rid of the freak once and for all?”
Petunia turns to him. “Really?” She asks in surprise.
Vernon moved over to the couch and sank down, the couch groaned under his heavy weight. “I was in the attic this morning looking for my grey suit. And I found that old trunk that holds all that rubbish. We should just burn the whole blasted thing. But never mind that.” He held up the notebook.
“What’s that?” Petunia asked eyeing the Hogwarts logo on the front.
“Your sister is not as perfect as you clam she is.”
Petunia snatches the book from him. “What are you talking about?” She demands as she opens the book. “No! The boy isn’t Potter’s!?”
“That’s what your sister says in that book.”
End Of Flashback
XxXxXxXxXx
Harry lays on his back on the couch inside the hotel they were all in. The hotel is very nice and has two bedrooms and four beds, but Dudley yelled, screamed and demanded that he keep the second bedroom. Harry was just fine with that, Dudley would just make fun of his nightmares of Cedric again.
The following morning, the Dursleys and Harry had gone out to an IHop.
Dudley shoveled all the pancakes on his plate, Vernon was at least a little polite, while both Petunia and Harry stayed silent.
Once they were finished, they headed out and took a wrong turn and ended up at a stadium. So while Vernon grumbled over a map, Harry leaned on the wall behind him near a hallway, and Dudley moved while whining and complaining about wanting to leave.
Hearing voices down the hall near him, Harry took a glance at his uncle who was hiding his face in the map.
Harry then snuck down the hall, following the voices and stopped when he saw some open double doors and he peeked inside.
It was a small group of people siting in folding chairs, Harry saw a man standing in front of the group as he leaned on the podium in front of him. But the sign on a chair near the doors grabbed his attention.
“You ok kid?”
The gentleness in the voice had him jump and he turned to see a tall musclier blonde, the other man stood just as tall but he’s a brunette.
“I, I’m sorry.” Harry apologized and hoping they won’t go to his uncle. “Was looking for the restroom. I got lost.” He easily lied.
The two tall men looked at each other, then back at Harry. “Go past the stairs and it’s around the corner.” The brunette points further down the hall.
Harry nods. “Thank you.” He moves, following the instructions and the door for the restrooms was right there. Harry pauses, he didn't have to use it, but since he's already standing in front of the doors he moves to disappear into the restrooms.
XxXxXxXx
Steve Rogers pushes Bucky Barnes into the room they stood in front of just as the therapy group was starting to leave.
“Cap, Bucky.” Sam Wilson greets as he bends down to grab his duffle bag. “What’s going on?”
“Ever have a kid in your session?” Bucky asks, making Steve elbow him and Sam pauses.
“What?” Sam turns to look at the two Super Soldiers. “How the hell can you two be de aging?” He asks. “You were both frozen, keeping yourselves young.”
“We found a kid outside, he was lost.” Steve answered.
“Oh.” Sam slung his duffle over his shoulder. “He ok?” He asks.
“Didn’t ask.” Steve answers with a shrug. “He looked fine to me.”
“Are we done?” Bucky asks. “Wanda’s coming home tonight and I got plans.”
“Oh, hell no am I listening to your description of play by play.” Sam glares, earning an evil grin from Bucky.
“I’m going to throw her on the bed and then pull down.”- Bucky starts cheekily, Sam groaned as he titles his head back and Steve chuckles. But Bucky is suddenly cut off when the doors of the room they’re in suddenly burst open and a large heavy set man stumbled in.
The man’s purple face quickly disappears and is replaced by a pale face. “Oh, I’m so sorry gentlemen.” He quickly apologizes. “I, I was looking for my nephew.” He stutters, trying to explain.
At that moment, Harry walks into the room from one of the side doors. He stopped when he saw the two tall men, who are now talking to the other man. “I’m sorry.” He apologized again. “I got lost again.”
“It’s ok.” Sam told him in a friendly tone. “We all get lost at some point.”
Harry slowly smiled at him.
“Daaaaaad, where’s Harry? Why do we have to wait for Harry?” Another kid’s voice complains from the hallway behind the very large man. “I’m hungry!”
“Dudley, we just ate.” Vernon said, still watching the three men as Harry still hadn’t moved to him.
“I’m hungry again!”
Harry rolled his eyes as he stared to move towards his uncle, he turns to the three men. “Um, thank you for showing where the restrooms are.”
“You’re welcome.” Bucky said just before Vernon grabs Harry’s arm and pulls him out of the room. “Charming.” He said dryly. “Give me HYDRA any day.”
Steve rolled his eyes as he checked his watch. “Let’s head to the Tower. Tony wants to show off a new shiny suit.”
“You get to see the new shiny.” Bucky points out. “I’m heading home so Wanda can come home to a clean house.”
Sam rolled his eyes as he starts to follow the two. “Have you ever been PG?”
“I have, but I’ve also tried PG 13, but the Punk won’t even allow that.” Bucky jerks his head to Steve.
“That’s cause your PG and PG 13 always goes back to R.” The blonde nudges him. “Jerk.”
Harry watches the friendly banter as the three leave. Vernon grabs his arms and spins him around so he was facing him.
“If you said anything to them, anything at all.”
“I didn’t!" Harry snapped.
Vernon grabs him shoulder painfully, making Harry wince. “Good.”
“Daaaaaad, I’m still hungry!” Dudley complains.
“You’ll just have to hold off, Dudley.” Vernon turns to his delinquent son. “We have an important stop we need to make first.”
Chapter 3
Notes:
I think I had too much fun on this chapter
Chapter Text
In a house in Brooklyn, Clint had let Wanda and Pietro get back comfortable again after returning home an hour ago, now it was his turn to return home and he was just finishing up his rental car so he could start to leave. He headed to the front porch where the twins stood, watching him.
"I think you should stay until James comes home." Wanda insists, a worried look shadows her face.
Pietro nods. "She's worried about something. And won't tell me." He informs, his sister glares at him.
"Is it my fault I can feel something powerful coming?" She hissed at him.
Clint frowns. "Like magic?" He asks. "Like Dr. Strange?"
Wanda rubbed her head. "I don't know." She could feel a throbbing headache coming on.
"Excuse me."
The three turn to see the Dursleys standing on the sidewalk.
"Can I help you?" Wanda asked.
Vernon cleared his throat. "Yes. I'm here to see James Barnes."
Clint stiffened, he didn't like the way this family was starting to act. "He's not home right now."
Wrong answer. "What do you mean he's not home. I came all this way for a delivery and he's not home? Where in the blue blazes is he!?" Vernon shouts with rage.
Wanda moved off the porch. "He is not home." She repeats. "I'm his wife." Red energy had started to dance along her fingers.
Clint rushes up to her side. "What do you want him for?" He demands. "You have no right to make demands here."
A purple face Vernon moved towards the iron gate, but he grunted when he couldn't fit through. "That's not your business! Where is Barnes!?"
"That is none of your concern!" Clint yelled back. "Either back off now or Wanda here is gonna vaporize you and you and you'll be nothing but a."-
"Very messy blob." Pietro interrupts.
"How dare you!?" Wanda glares. "How dare you come into my home and start giving demands!"
"Send him to China! Send him to China like you did to Vision!" Pietro chirps with glee. "Please sister." He begs.
Clint almost laughed, and he wanted to. "He won't survive."
"Vernon." Petunia taps him arm as she looks around nervously. "We're gaining a crowd."
Harry looked around and sure enough, his uncle's screaming fit is most causing a scene as all theneighbors on street are outside watching, his eyes widen when he saw a police car rounding a corner, he then yelped when Vernon grabs his arm and yanks him roughly to his chest.
"This boy! My nephew is the biological son of James Barnes."
"That is not possible." Clint said, feeling Wanda stiffen. He turns. "Pietro!" His silent order is received when there's a gust of air and a blur and suddenly the twins are gone.
The police siren is heard and the group turn to see the police cruiser with its lights on pulling up to the curb, and two Officers climb out. "What's going on here?"
Vernon had paled slightly. "I'm trying to return my nephew! And these people!" He waves a beefy arm towards the house. "Won't take him back!"
The two Officers looked at each other then back to Dursley. "Sargent Barnes and his wife don't have kids. What's the real reason here?"
Vernon's face turns purple again. "THAT IS THE REAL REASON!" He thunders.
Clint continued to watch as the skinny kid winced. He approached the gate. "Officers, why don't I take the kid in question into the house?" He suggests. "I make a call to Captain Rogers while you take these people to your station. Cap would know what to do."
One of the Officers nod. "Sounds fair."
Harry tried and failed to hold in a wince when his uncle let go of his wrist. He jumps when a gently hand touches his shoulder, he looks up at Clint.
Hawkeye smiled warmly at him. "Hi champ. Are you hungry? I believe Mrs. Barnes has a pizza baking in the oven."
Dudley couldn't help himself. "Oh boy, pizza!" He shoves his way forward, roughly shoving Harry to the side. But is stopped short when Clint grabs him.
"Wasn't talking to you kid." Hawkeye told him. "You look like you have your fair share of food." He turns to Harry, who was rubbing his arm. "Are you ok champ?"
Harry nods. "Yes."
Clint nods. "Come on." He said friendly, starting to guide him towards the house, but Vernon reached out to grab Clint's arm.
"I want to talk to the wife!" He demands. Clint turned, jerking the beefy arm away.
"That is a hell no!" Hawkeye glares heatly. "I hate your tone, and I hate the way you're acting!"
"Clint."
Harry turns to see the red head woman approach.
"Mrs. Barnes." One of the Officers walked up to the gate and since he's regular size was able to come through the gate. "Are you wanting charges?" He asks.
"FOR WHAT!?" Dursley screams.
"Dispute for starters." The Officer turns to him. "And if not we'll charge you with disturbing the peace."
"Can you do both?" Wanda asks him curiously, and the Officer turns to her.
"Just say the word Mrs. Barnes."
"Then yes." Wanda nods. "I'll be there when I can, I want to feed this poor boy first." She gestures to Harry. She turns to Clint who was already pulling out his cell. "Clint."
"Already calling Cap and Bucky now."
XxXxXxXx
Harry felt like a whirlwind as he now sat inside the beautiful warm home as he watched Wanda slice the first pizza.
"Do you like soda?"
The boy looked up to see Pietro leaning on the island counter across from him, holding a can of soda.
Harry blinked behind his glasses. "Pietro?" He asks in surprise. "This is your family you were talking about?"
"Guilty!" Pietro smiles with pride, his smile disappears then. "But really." He pushes the can of soda towards him. "For you."
Harry slowly took it. "Um, thank you. I, I'm sorry there's a disturbance. And it's me."
"Think non of it, Harry!" Wanda walked up to the counter and set a plate with a large peace of pizza in front of him.
He blinks. "This is for me?" He asks, looking up at her not able to keep the surprise out off.
"Yes." Wanda nods firmly. "I don't mind at all. I love to cook."
"I never had pizza before." Harry admits just as Clint walks in. "Or soda."
"What?!" Pietro stares comically and he falls off the stool he's sitting in. But in a blur he's back to standing. "You don't know what you're missing!"
Clint snorts. "After seeing the bowling ball outside. I believe it." He smiles when Wanda hands him his own plate of pizza. "Thanks Wanda!"
"Don't forget the big blob." Pietro said before scarfing down his own pizza.
XxXxXxXxXxXx
“Come on Buck.” Steve urges, pushing Bucky through the entrance of the Avenger Tower. “Everything’s all good.”
“Yeah man!” Sam walked behind the two. “The President himself pardoned you.”
“That still doesn’t mean I’m welcome into places.” Bucky grumbled. “Especially here.”
“Tony’s not going to try anything funny.” Steve told his best friend. “He gave me his word.”
“Yeah! Remember what he gave you and Wanda?” Sam tried. “A haunted house.”
Steve rolled his eyes. “For the last time. It’s not a haunted house, it’s a fixer upper, besides all the repairs are finished.”
“And it looks and feels like home!” Bucky countered, puffing out his chest, but deflats when the ding of the elevator and Tony Stark himself walked out.
“Hey, if it isn’t Capsicle and RoboCop!” He announces strolling over to them. “And Redbird.” He grins. "Get it, cause he has that drone?"
“What do you want, Stark?” Bucky asked suspiciously.
“You're so suspicious. I’m hurt.” Tony said, fending being hurt.
"We're done here." Bucky rolled his eyes and turns to leave, but Steve grabs him, just as his phone rang.
"Is that Stars And Strips?" Tony asks, giving Steve a comical yet weird look.
"Yes." Steve huffed, pulling out his phone.
"My nephews thought it'd be funny." Sam said as they watch Steve move down the hall as he answered. "They wanted to prank Bucky, but they got Steve instead."
Bucky grins. "How many times have I said I love those boys?" He asks.
Sam just rolled his eyes and his face switches to worry Steve came back looking alarmed.
"Cap?" Tony frowns.
"That was Clint." Steve looks at all three, and his eyes land on Bucky. "T."- He didn't get to finish as Bucky swiftly turned and raced out, Steve chased after him.
"Must be nice." Sam grumbled, folding his arms. "Being a Super Solider."
Chapter 4
Notes:
I hope this doesn't feel too rushed
Chapter Text
Clint currently has his arm wrapped around Wanda’s shoulders as they exited the Lieutenant’s office. “Thank you.” He was saying just as Steve and Bucky hurried in, followed by a very sweaty Sam hurrying in breathing heavily as behind him Tony strolls in calmly.
“I told you to grab your wings.” Tony told Sam, who leaned on the doorframe.
The two Super Soldiers ignored them as they approach Clint and Wanda, Wanda instantly left Clint's side to head straight to Bucky who grabs her in his arms.
“What’s going on Clint?” Steve asked, watching Wanda try to hide in Bucky’s arms.
“YOU CAN’T TREAT ME LIKE THIS!” A loud snarl is heard from all the way down a hall where the interrogation rooms are.
“That.” Clint jerked his thumb in that direction. “Came to the house and started demands.”
“Demands of what?” Bucky asked as Wanda pulled away from him. “Doll, are you ok?” He asked in concern.
“Yes.” She nods, she turns to Clint. “Are you happy you listened to me now?” She asks.
“Alright, you win. Yes. I definitely am now.” He nods.
“Barton, what’s going on?” Tony asked, approaching to now stand on the other side of Steve. “Barnes ran through one of my glass doors on his way out of my Tower, Spangles here didn’t help the other door either.”
Bucky grins. “Sorry.” But he wasn’t, he tried to hold in the chuckle too.
Clint saw it on his face and tried to not laugh, but cleared his throat. “Loud man back there is demanding to talk to either Wanda or Bucky. I already told him to go to hell with speaking to Wanda.”
Bucky stiffened. “Why? D - did he recognize me as the Winter Solider?” He asked with worry. “I did a lot of damage t.”-
“Buck.” Steve cuts in. “Stop doing that to yourself.”
“Yeah man.” Sam finally approached, his breathing back to normal. "You finally clawed your way out of that shit hole."
“That loud and bully of a man, wanted me to take his nephew.” Wanda said, making the four arrivals blink and stare at her, Tony and Sam have comical expressions while Steve and Bucky have blank and confused looks.
“Why?” Sam asked.
“He told us that his nephew is James’ biological son.” Wanda informed. Bucky stumbled back, his back slamming into Sam.
“Not possible.” Bucky said.
“The loud man down there says he has proof.” Clint said. “He and his wife refuse to talk more.”
As if on cue, there was a loud crash from the interrogation rooms.
“Where’s the nephew now?” Tony asked, now playing with a pencil as he’s perched on a desk.
“I have him at home with Pietro.” Wanda answered. “Clint.”-
“Those people were not just being rude, but causing a scene. And they were being too aggressive with the kid.” Clint explained. “So, to temporarily keep the boy out of their hands, I thought it was best.”
Steve nodded. “That’s good, you got him out. But that doesn’t solve our problem, only gave us time.”
“He wants to talk to me right?” Bucky asks. “I’ll talk to him.” His comment made Steve’s head snap to him.
“The hell you are! Me and Sam will talk to him.”
Sam blinked wondering how he got pulled in. “Me?”
Tony laughed as he clamped him on the back. “You are the new Cap now.” He said cheerful.
Clint grins. “Oops.” His smile faded as he looked away. “Forgot about that.” He mutters quietly, Steve and Bucky heard him and looked at each other.
“Ok dokey.” Tony claps his hands together. “Now that this part is taken care of. Clint, take Barnes and Glenda here home, and I’ll go get Bruce ready.”
XxXxXxXxXx
Harry roamed the Barnes' living room, looking around and enjoying how warm and inviting it felt. A big photo on the fireplace mantle grabbed his attention, He moved to look at it better.
A wedding photo of Wanda and a man, Harry's eyes widened behind his glasses as he talked to that man yesterday. Harry's eyes roamed to the regular size pictures on the manual. One was of Pietro and another man wearing a very expensive suit as each held a slice of cake and aiming at each other, another picture of the two other men Harry had also recognized from yesterday.
"Do you like the pictures?" Pietro's question made Harry jump startled and turn to him.
"I, I." Harry stuttered. "Yes." He admits, turning back to the row of pictures. Something made him feel warm here.
Keys rattling on the front door, made him jump and turned just as the front door opened to reveal Wanda walking in, with the tall brunette man from yesterday filling behind her, and Clint brought up the rear.
"Oh, Harry." Wanda smiled fondly when she saw him. "I'm sorry it took longer then I thought it would."
"Oh, uh, it's ok." Harry reassured her.
"Harry, this my husband James." Wanda introduced. "James, meet Harry." She paused. "I'm sorry, I don't know your last name."
"It's ok, it's Potter." Harry answered. "Harry Potter."
Bucky blinked a few times, staring at the kid in front of him, until Clint nudges him. "Hi Harry." He held out his right hand, and Harry shook it.
"Hi."
Clint looked at his phone when it chimed. "Ok. Stark is ready for us."
"Ready for what?" Pietro asked confused.
"DNA." Clint answered.
"DNA?" Harry repeated. "As in blood?"
XxXxXxXxX
The next thing Harry knew he was now walking with the group, looking around in wonder through Avenger Tower, it was silent going upstairs to a floor where they met up with Bruce Banner.
"Hi gang." He smiled.
Harry's eyes grew.
Clint noticed and chuckled, slinging his arm around his shoulders. "Harry. This jolly green guy is our friend."
Bruce smiled. "Hi Harry. I'm Doctor Bruce Banner, come on into the lab and we'll get to work."
Harry followed him until they reached a room.
"Have a seat please Harry." Bruce gestured to a chair, just as Tony strolled in.
"Hey, Brucie, we need a paternity test."
"Just started Tony." Bruce turns to grab a swab from a cabinet.
"Great, while you do doctor stuff, I'm gonna go make sure Barnes doesn't go through one of my glass doors again," With that Tony turned on his heel to walk out of the room.
Bruce turns his attention to Harry. "Ok, Harry I’m going to swab the inside of your cheek, so I need you to open op please."
The swab was quick and once satisfied, Bruce placed the swab in a strange machine.
"What's that machine?" Harry asked, cocking his head a little.
"This machine is run by FRIDAY, it's going to tell us if you're really Sargent Barnes' kid by comparing your DNA with his."
Nodding, Harry leaned back in his chair and looked around the lab. He wanted to ask the doctor if he was cursed but knew that'd be very rude. He nearly jumped out of his skin when a voice spoke out of nowhere.
"The boy is a match to Sargent Barnes' DNA, doctor. Would you like me to inform Sargent Barnes?"
"Um." Bruce rubbed his chin. "Have him come up here please."
"Of course Doctor."
"Thank you FRIDAY." Bruce nods, he looks at Harry. "Well Harry. Welcome home to the Avengers family."
Harry just sat there with a stunned look.
Chapter Text
Bucky and Steve now stood in Bruce’s lab, while Harry still sat on the stool and being quiet and watching as Bucky (his father), Steve and Bruce talk quietly.
“Could HYDRA have preserved Bucky’s blood?” Steve was asking quietly as the three men stood near a corner.
“After so much time?” Bruce asked. “So many years?” He fiddled with his glasses, pauses and turns to set them on a tray
Bucky ran his metal gloved hand through his hair, a lost look on his face. He doesn’t remember doing anything with any woman while he was on the run when Zemo framed him and Steve and Sam tried to find him before the police - hell, for all he believes the National Guard was after him too.
Bucky was so lost in his thoughts that, Steve had to nudge him to get his attention.
“You hear us?” The blonde asks.
It took him a minute to blink rapidly to focus. “What?”
“I think the reveal overloaded his system.” Bruce comments, making Steve give him a look. “What?” He asks, then. “Oooh.” He backs a little. "Sorry." He mutters.
Steve sighed as he turns to Bucky. “Buck, go talk to him.” He nods towards Harry
Bucky cleared his throat. “I … I want to talk to Wanda.”
“I’ll talk to her.” Steve offered. “You.” He turns Bucky around. “Look at him, he’s terrified.”
“I don’t know Stevie.” Bucky hesitated.
“You had three younger sisters.” Steve reminded. “You’re great. And Sam says you’re awesome with his nephews.”
Bucky closed his eyes.
Steve was about to push the brunette forward, but Bucky started to move.
From where he sat, Harry watched as Bucky approached him and he straightened up.
“Hi Harry.” The brunette greeted.
“Um, hi.” Harry greeted. “Y … you’re really my dad?” He asked curiously.
“Uh, yeah, I am.” Bucky nods. “If you have something snappy to say. Do it now. Because I have a story for you too. A wild story too.
“I’ve also had a wild ride.” Harry said softly. “Where’ve been?” His voice is soft. “Where were you when I needed you?”
Bucky felt the stab. “I’m sorry.” He could only whisper. He turns to Steve and Bruce, then back at Harry. “Why don’t we go get something to eat and talk?” He offers.
Harry bit his lower lip. “I think, for right now, I want to lay down for a little awhile.”
Bucky nods. “Ok, that’s fair.” He turns to Steve. “Stevie!” He waves over the blonde.
XxXxXxXxXxXx
Later, Bucky laid on his back on the couch in the common room couch, Wanda sat on the edge of the couch her right hand rested on his chest, while his flesh arm laid lazily across her lap. Sam stood behind the couch as he gently placed a damp washcloth on Bucky’s forehead.
Tony strolled in. “Barnes!” He said cheerfully. “Congratulations! Bruce just told me. You’ve got a bouncing baby boy!”
Bucky groans, wishing he could sink even further on the couch.
“Not now Tony.” Steve said as he approaches. “Buck, let me take you home.”
“I want two 24 packs of beer.” Bucky said, making Wanda pat his chest gently.
“Honey, it’ll be ok.” She said gently.
He opens his eyes to look at her. “But you.”
“Nevermind that.” She cut in. “I don’t care about that right now.”
“But.” Bucky trailed off when she gently placed a finger on his lips.
“James.” Her accent is thick. “We can talk later.”
Clint walked into the room, his phone in his hand. “Mrs. Dursley wants to talk.”
“Captain America or not, I’m not talking to either of them.” Sam said stubbornly.
“You don’t have to. She wants to talk to Wanda.” Clint’s statement had all heads snap in his direction. “What? You guys are looking at me like I just turned into Thanos.”
“That’s not funny Clint.” Steve said.
“It’s not funny at all.” Clint agreed. “But that Mrs.” He points out the window. “Wants to talk to this Mrs.” He gestures to Wanda.
In a swift move, Bucky grabs Wanda - pulling her down on top of him as he held her protectively. “No way!”
Sam rolled his eyes.
“Relax Terminator.” Tony said dryly.
“I’ll talk to her.”
The voice had everyone turn to see Harry standing in the hallway.
"You want to talk to her?" Steve asked with surprise.
"I'm sorry I eavesdropped." Harry apologized. "Aunt Petunia was my mom's sister." He said looking towards Bucky, who lad let go of Wanda and they both sat up on the couch. "If I have to talk to either Aunt Petunia or Uncle Vernon, I'd rather talk to Aunt Petunia."
Chapter Text
Harry walked along the Avenger Tower, trying to soak everything in. He heard the hiss of the doors as they opened for him to enter. He was curious and awed at all the windows and glass. And of course he got lost and ended up going down some spiral stairs and found some more glass walls with a glass door, a security lock, with a glass door. On the other side are machines and fancy cars.
"Mr. Potter, I'm sorry but you're not authorized to go in there." FRIDAY's voice came from the ceiling when Harry tried to open the door.
"I'm sorry, I was just curious. What's in there?" He asks curiously.
"It's the boss' lab."
Harry nodded, then realized she couldn't see it. "Um, does uh, the Sargent have a floor of his own?" He hesitantly asked.
"I'm afraid he doesn't." FRIDAY answered, making Harry's shoulders slump. "But Captain Rogers does."
Harry perked up. "Could I take the elevator to his floor?" He asked, then quickly added in an afterthought. "Please?"
XxXxXxXxXx
Steve and Bucky are in Steve's living room at a table, sitting on their knees as they arm wrestled.
"Can you believe this Wanda?" Sam asked, turning to her as she calmly watched the two Super Solders. "Two Super Soldiers doing Juvenal challenges."
"We're still out of our time." Steve reminds. "I gotta show my best pal here what he missed while HYDRA had their claws dug in him."
"And old Steve here, could never do this." Bucky added with a grin. "You've seen what he looked like at the Smithsonian before the serum."
"Alright jerk." Steve's hand tightened on Bucky's flesh hand. "There's no need for that."
Bucky gave him a shit splitting grin. "Come on punk, it's all over that museum!" And with that he pushed Steve's arm down, making him give a startled yell and the table broke too. "I win." He said smugly.
Steve narrowed his eyes. "You."
Bucky sprang to his feet and bolted laughing, Steve right on his heels.
Wanda sighed shaking her head. "Honestly." She conjured some yarn and started to knit as she sat back on the couch. "Come here Sam, I'm gonna need your help."
Sam barely had time to jump out of the way when Bucky ran passed, Steve tackled his best friend to the floor. Sam easily evaded the two Super Soldiers to move next to Wanda, who grabbed his hands and started to thread some yarn around his fingers.
"Excuse me for interrupting Captain Rogers." FRIDAY's voice spoke, and both Super Soldiers were now stuck with Steve's head locked between Bucky's legs and Bucky's head locked between Steve's legs.
"Yes, FRIDAY?" Steve asked.
"Young Mr. Potter is stepping out onto your floor." The AI answered.
"Is he ok?" Sam asked, moving a little.
"Sam! Don't move." Wanda scolded.
"I'm afraid he got lost, he asked to be directed to you, Captain Rogers." FRIDAY again answered.
"Thank you, FRIDAY." Steve said.
The still stuck Super Soldiers tilted left then right. "Wanda, doll." Bucky tried to look towards her but couldn't.
"Hold this please." Wanda turned to Sam and held the yarn to him.
"You said to not move." He started to argue.
"Oh honestly, all three of you men are acting like children!" Wanda snaps, she moves his fingers and places the yarn in his clumsy grasp as she stands up and moves.
"Please don't turn us back to kids again." Steve begged as she moved around him and Bucky. The yarn slips from Sam's fingers and falls, bouncing off Bucky's head and rolls to a stop at the still broken table.
There's a knock on the door, Wanda narrows her eyes on all three.
"Don't move." She orders, before she turns to answer the door.
The doors slides open and she smiles warmly at the 14-year-old. "Hi Harry."
"Uh, hi Mrs. Barnes." He greeted.
"Harry, we've talked about this." Wanda gently told him stepping aside. "We're family now, so call me Wanda."
"Doll!" Bucky's voice called from further into the room.
Harry instantly got worried. "Have I come at a bad time?" He asks.
"No." Wanda shook her head, she gently placed her hand on his back to guide him further into the room and his eyes grew at the scene in front of him.
"What."- He started to ask, then just trailed off.
"James, Steve. Hold still." Wanda instructed before she flicked both her wrists and magically both Bucky and Steve cried out and fell onto their faces when they got free, Wanda then flicked her wrist and the coffee table magically fixed itself. "Good as new." She smiled.
Harry stared at her in awe. "You, you're magic?"
"Oops." She winced, looking away.
He quickly shook his head. "No." He reached into his pocket and pulled out his wand, showing it to her. "Me too!" He pauses. "Well, through this, my wand."
All four adult stare at Harry. "You're magic?" Sam asked, somehow he got all tangled up with Wanda's yarn.
Harry knew he should be scared as hell, and yeah he was in the beginning and definitely confused. But after witnessing Wanda using her magic just now, maybe things could be a little more easier. "I am." He nods, he looks back at Wanda. "I don't think you talking to Aunt Petunia will be a good idea."
"Why not?" Wanda asks. "She wants to talk to me, if that's what she wants." She shrugs.
"You're magic." Harry slid his wand back into his front pocket. "My relatives are very very superstitious. They hate magic, and everything that's supernatural."
"Then I should be the one to talk to your aunt." Sam said. "Me, or Clint."
Harry frowns. "Why?" He curiously asks.
Sam grunts as he pulls on a string of yarn only to yelp when it snaps back, pinching his fingers. "Three reasons. Steve and Bucky are Super Soldiers, they're from World War 2, and Wanda as you just witnessed is magic." He explained.
Harry's eyes grew behind his glasses, he turns to Bucky.
"Kid, we have a lot to talk about." Bucky said as he sat on the floor, leaning back on his hands. "So, whose story should go first?" He asks. "Me or you?"
Not wanting to go into his crappy sad story anymore, Harry gestures to him. "You can."
Bucky nods. "Ok." He looks at Steve, then back at Harry. "Ok." He stood up. "Let's go to the common room." He said.
Chapter Text
Harry is now sitting on one of the softest couches he’s ever sat on before. He watches as Pietro walks in carrying a little girl on his hip.
“Pietro.” Wanda walked over to her twin. “Now isn’t the time.”
“Mama!” Becca cheerfully bounces for Wanda and nearly falling out of her uncle’s arms.
“She was crying for you and James.” Pietro explained as Wanda took her daughter.
“Hi sweetheart.” Wanda said in English, smiling at her daughter then kissed Becca’s cheek. “Go bother Uncle Sam.” She said in her native tongue as she sat the little girl down.
Both Bucky and Pietro laughed.
Becca ran over to Steve first. “Hi Uncle Steve!” She beamed as she hugged his leg.
Steve smiled as he pets the top of her head. “Hi sweetie.”
Becca then raced towards Sam, launching at him and sending him stumbling backwards. “Hi Uncle Sammy!” She smiles with her arms around his neck.
Sam had grunted, but held her. “Hi.” He shifted her to hold her on his hip. “Come on kid, let’s go get some ice cream.” He grins as he moves.
“Sam!” Bucky frowns starting to follow. “Not before, and he’s gone.” He growled as Sam disappeared.
Wanda folded her arms with her own frown. “That is not what I had in mind.”
“We’ll get him back.” Bucky said with a roll of his eyes. He turns to his wife. “We always do.” He then turns his attention back to Harry. “Alright kiddo. From start to finish, don’t sugar coat anything and don’t try editing.”
“It’s a long story.” Harry explained.
“I have time.” Bucky replied.
“We.” His wife corrects as she sits next to him. “We have time.”
Steve was nodding as he, Pietro and Clint sat down on the other couch.
“It’s not a petty story.” Harry continued.
“Neither is mine.” Bucky told him. “You’re safe now Harry, whatever happened to you in the past. You’re safe now.”
That hit home, Harry leaned back on the couch as he took a shuttering breath. “My parents were murdered on my first Halloween.” He pauses. “Is she going to come back in?” He asks. “My story isn’t kids her age appropriate.”
“Becca?” Bucky asks. “Nah, it’s ok, Sam has her distracted with ice cream.”
“It’s going to be a long night.” Wanda sighed, making her husband nod. "Thank you for asking Harry."
“You're welcome." He nods. "After my parents were killed, I was suppose to go to live with my Godfather.”
“Where’s he at?” Clint asked curiously.
“That’s a long story in itself, but the short version is right now. He was frame and in prison and now currently is in hiding.” Harry answered. “So I was sent to live with my relatives. From there I was never treated as family. Just a waste of space, they always told me that. They shoved me into a cupboard under the stairs - that was my ‘room’.”
“Not a bedroom?” Wanda asked.
Harry shook his head. “No. I was used as a maid and a gardener and a cook ever since I turned seven. The neighbors never cared, especially when I was locked out of the house on the hottest day of the year working in the garden, I’d be thirsty and tired and nobody cared enough. Dudley, or Aunt Petunia or both would taunt me by sitting in the only shaded spot in the backyard with cold lemonade, while Uncle Vernon would be raiding the freezer and standing in front of it.”
“Despicable.” Steve shook his head, he turns to look at Clint. “And we still have to defend people like them too.”
“It’s sad, but true.” Hawkeye agree.
Bucky turns to them. “Shut up over there.” He turns back to Harry. “Please go on.” He encourages.
“When the Dursleys had company, I get locked in the cupboard. No sound at all, if I hiccuped even. No meals for a week. I got locked up in the cupboard during the whole night and Uncle Vernon would still lock the fridge.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Pietro cried. “No snack?” He asks.
Harry shook his head. “Not even a crumb.”
“Education?” Wanda asks curiously. “What was school like?”
“Before 11, I was in the regular school.” Harry said. “I liked to learn, but because Uncle Vernon refused to let me have new glasses, it was so hard to see the chalkboard which forced me to keep the same grades over and over again. For me, the biggest rule is to never get a grade higher then Dudley, who always had F’s, D’s, and C’s. I never had friends. At all.”
“Lonely life.” Pietro said sadly.
“Yeah.” Harry nods. “Any brave kid who did try. Dudley would say something and I’d be alone.” He took another shuttering breath. “When Uncle Vernon’s boss and his wife came over, I was forced to stay in my room and pretend I don’t exist.”
“But something happened.” Wanda guessed.
“Yes.” Harry nods. “Dobby, a house elf came to visit me, he tried to warn me not to go back to Hogwarts for my second year, I refused and chased him. Then Dobby made a cake that Petunia baked made it float to the boss. Dobby still insisted I not go back to Hogwarts, and when I refused again, Dobby dropped the cake all over the boss’ wife.”
Clint snickered.
“Uncle Vernon was enraged after that, that night was suppose to be his chance for a big promotion at work. So, nobody cared to say anything when I was the only one with bars in by window.” Harry shook his head. “Nobody cared when or said a thing when Dudley let his friends chase me around and beat me to a pulp. That’s when I learned how to climb trees.”
Wanda moved to sit next to Harry. “You don’t go to school now?” She asks, her accent strong.
Harry nodded. “I do. And it’s simi better.”
“How so?” Steve asked.
“It’s a special boarding school.” Harry answered. “Hogwarts is a school for witches and wizards who are born for magic. When I got my invitation, at first I thought it was my glasses, but it was for me. I tried to open it, but Dudley ripped it out of my hand, screaming I had a letter. I never saw that letter again.”
“How’d you get to your school?” Bucky asked.
“After Hogwarts hadn’t heard my response, they sent a representative for my answer. And that was when I learned the truth how by parents died, Hagrid was outraged.”
“How did they?” Bucky asked gently.
“I was told they were killed in a car crash. But Aunt Petunia said my mom was blown up and she and Uncle Vernon refused me of Hogwarts.” Harry answered.
“Oh, Harry.” Wanda hugged from the side, he patted her arms grateful for the comfort.
“While I was distracted with the real story about my parents death, Dudley took my very first birthday cake Hagrid gave me and started eating it in the corner.” Harry said.
Clint didn’t know if he should roll his eyes and shake his head. “That pudgy bowling ball pig.”
“Hagrid gave Dudley a pig tail after he finished yelling at Uncle Vernon.” Harry smiled.
Clint laughed. “Cool!”
“Serves him right.” Steve agrees with a nod.
“Hagrid then took me to get my school supplies after he threatened Uncle Vernon." Harry finished because Becca came running in.
"Daddy, daddy!" She jumps into Bucky's lap.
Steve straightened his back and shoulders. "I think part two will have to wait." He decides.
Harry was trying hard to not let angry tears come out, he didn't want to scare his new found sister - well half sister.
Wanda hugged him. "You have a new life now, Harry." She told him. She conjured some tissues and gave him one.
"Thanks." He took it, but fiddled with it.
"Becca, you better not have ruined your dinner." Bucky gently scolded, he turned to Sam. "Samuel."
Sam held up his hands in surrender. "That was all Alexei last time."
"That." Clint starts to argue, then thought about it. "It's always Alexei."
Bucky rubbed his scruffy chin. "Ok." He rolled his eyes. "Fine." He caves.
"Don't worry daddy." Becca looked up at him. "I made room for cheeseburgers and French fries."

Really sorry this one is so short!
Chapter Text
That night, Harry is currently in the kitchen sitting on a bar stool leaning his elbows on the kitchen island as he nursed a hot coco.
“I thought I heard a noise down here.”
Harry jumped and turned with wide eyes to see Bucky, who has his arms folded as he's leaning against in the doorframe. “I,I,” He stutters, to scared he’s going to be in trouble.
“Don’t worry about.” Bucky said as he pushed off the doorframe and entered the kitchen. “You’re not in trouble, so don’t look like you’re about to bolt.” He moved to the stove and saw that it was still warm and so is the water.
“I thought I was really quiet.” Harry said.
“And you were.” Bucky confirms firmly, turning to him. “I don’t sleep. When I do, it’s restless. We have rules for Becca, guess we’re going to need to update the house rules.” He turns back to the counter to grab his own mug, he turns to the island and leans on it. “Harry, I need to know. Do you have nightmares?” His question was almost demanding. “Because Wanda is very sensitive when someone is thinking to loud, and of course, nightmares is the biggest. Both of those make her uncomfortable and emotional.”
Harry looked down, chewing on her lower lip. Finally he took a deep breath. “My friend was killed in front of me.” He admits. “It won’t leave my head, I have flashes of it.”
Bucky’s shoulders slouch. “Harry, I’m sorry.”
Harry kept avoiding his gaze. “And it’s my fault.”
“No!”
Harry shot his eyes towards him.
“That cannot be your fault.” Bucky argued.
“But it is!” Harry argued back. “Cedric would still be alive it if wasn’t for me.”
“If you were tricked, then don’t blame yourself.” Bucky insisted. “Because it wasn’t your fault.”
Harry ran his hands through his hair. “I feel so guilty about it!”
“Don’t!” Bucky again argued. “Your friend got caught in the crosshairs.” He leans forward a little on the island. “Harry, shit happens. And innocents get hurt and sometimes worse.” He reached over to gently place his flesh hand on Harry’s arm. “I’m sorry for what happened to your friend.”
Harry took a shuttering breath. “Thanks.”
“Can I ask what your school is like?”
“Like I said, it’s a magic school for wizards and witches.” Harry explained. “I was excited to go.” He looks up at Bucky. “It’s a boarding school, which also means that I got to be away from the Dursleys for a whole year, and only coming back for summer.”
Bucky rubbed his beard. “That’s good. Being away from them I mean.”
Harry gave a little smile. “Yeah.” He nods. “Hagrid took me shopping for school supplies and he bought me my first birthday present. An owl. I named her Hedwig.”
“Where’s your owl now?”
“The Dursleys force me to keep her in her cage, so she’s not aloud to go outside.” Harry told him. “When Uncle Vernon told me what we were doing, I sent her to my best friend Hermione.”
Bucky nods. “Good, so your pet is safe.”
Harry smiled at that. “Yeah, she’s safe.”
“Once the school shopping was finished. Hagrid took me to Kings Cross Station. And once on the train, that’s where I met my first friend. Ron. We shared candy and chocolates.”
"Common bond for kids." Bucky said with a nod.
Chapter Text
Harry stood in the living room as he admired more pictures, he could see how much love there was in this house.
Wait … was that a metal arm next to a woman’s flesh arm? Harry reached for the frame to look at it closer. Yeah, that’s a metal arm.
“That’s daddy’s metal arm.”
Becca’s voice made Harry jump startled and he turned to see her standing next to him wearing a soccer uniform and her hair is pulled back in a simple ponytail.
Harry looked closer at the picture. “Can I ask why they took a picture of their arms?” He asks. Becca reached up to take the picture and look at it herself.
“Uncle Steve said they wanted a picture of the rings.” She explained, giving the picture back so he could place the picture back on the shelf. “Grandpa says daddy’s ring blends in with the black of the metal.”
Harry silently nodded as he studied the picture more, when Becca suddenly yelped, Harry quickly turned only to see Bucky now standing there holding Becca on his hip.
“And what are you two talking about?” Bucky asked teasingly.
“You have a metal arm?” Harry curiously asked.
That question had Bucky flashing back to Germany when he tried to first punch Peter and the kid easily caught his arm. “Yeah.” Bucky nods. “Believe it or not this is my second metal arm.”
“And final metal arm.” Wanda said as she approached from behind Bucky. “Becca, you can’t be late for practice.”
“Yes mommy.”
Bucky set his daughter down. “What’d you learn last time?” He asks Becca.
“Don’t kick the couch!” Becca announced.
“And?” Wanda pressed, her daughter pauses. “Don’t let daddy encourage me to kick him?” She added.
Harry’s eyes grew behind his glasses, watching Wanda nod.
“That’s right.” Wanda says before she turns to Bucky accusingly.
“What?” Bucky does not look guilty at all as he shrugs his metal shoulder, Wanda continued to give him a look. “Babe, it’s Walker.” He folds his arms. “Doll, you know I’m not going to be guilty."
Wanda sighed in defeat. “You and Sam.” She leaned up on her tip toes to kiss his scruffy cheek. “Gonna be late.” With that she turned to head for the closet to grab her jacket.
Harry watched as the two left, then jumped when Bucky clapped his hands together.
“Alright Harry, it’s just us men now.” Bucky states. “The girls will be gone for the day, that means I get to show you around Brooklyn and tell you about why I wasn’t there for you when you needed me.”
Harry blinked. “Really?” He asks.
Bucky gives him a look as he folds his arms. “Harry, do you honestly believe that I’m gonna fold you up and shove you in a closet?” He slightly demands. “You don’t treat a human that way.”
Harry chewed on his lower lip. “Ok.”
“First off.” Bucky placed a hand on his shoulder and lead him to the couch where they sank down. “I need to know. Do you want to go back to that school?” He asks. “It’s your decision Harry.”
Harry stares. “I get to choose?” He asks surprised.
Bucky nods. “Yes. Now you don't have to answer right away."
Harry nods. "I'll think about it, I promise."
Bucky gently patted him on the back. “Ok.” He stood up. “So let go out and get lost.” He said with a grin.
“Uhh.” Harry blinks. “As in lost lost, or figure of speech?” He asks.
Bucky instantly fishes for this phone in his pocket. “Better call Steve.” He dials. “Hey Punk, drop whatever it is you’re doing.”
Harry watched from his spot on the couch as Bucky grins.
“Because I’m getting lost in the city.” With that the Super Solider hung up with smile as he triumphly pocketed his cell.
“Are you sure that was a good idea to tell him that?” Harry asks.
Bucky continued to smile. “He’ll forgive me. Always does.” His smile disappeared. "Once Steve gets here, and he'll be he very shortly. The three of us will go out. And Wanda wants you to have more clothing then what you have."
The doorbell rang, then it opened and Steve ran in - breathing heavily. "BUCKY!" He cried in panic, then took a few deep breaths and finally saw his best friend standing there perfectly fine, and Harry waving from the couch.
Steve straightened. "Oh." He narrowed his eyes on Bucky. "Damn it, Bucky!" He ran a hand through his hair. "Not again!"
Bucky grins brightly. "Alright Harry!" He turns to him. "We got Steve, let's go!"
Harry smiles. "Yeah!"
Steve just frowns. "Buck?"
Bucky slung his flesh arm around his shoulders. "Come on buddy, this field trip is for you too."
Chapter Text
The ferry moved along the water, Harry leaned on the railing as he admired New York and listening to Bucky and Steve arguing about who did what.
As Harry was very tired of Hermione and Ron’s arguments, this argument felt like a breath of fresh air.
Harry suddenly blinks when Bucky puts a hot dog in front of him. “Uh, thanks.” Harry took the offered hot dog.
“Come on, buddy.” Bucky wrapped his flesh arm around his shoulders and led him over to a bench. “As promised I’m gonna tell ya my story.” He said as Steve moves towards them, sitting down the blonde handed Harry a water bottle.
“But hopefully you’ll leave out some of the graphics.” Steve replied.
“That’s what you’re here for.” Bucky said easily. “To make sure I don’t.”
Steve rolled his eyes. “You know what I mean.”
Bucky burped loudly after swallowing some of his beer, that earned him a glare from a few woman who were walking past. Bucky just ignored them.
Bucky turns his attention back to Harry. “It all starts with an ambush on a train.” He begins. “But before that, Steve and I are not from this timeline.”
Harry blinked behind his glasses. “You’re … not?”
Bucky nods. “Yep. I was born in 1917 and Stevie here was 1918.”
“You don’t believe that, do you?” Steve asks, misreading Harry’s face.
“I do!” Harry quickly nods. “You should meet the headmaster at Hogwarts.”
“Sounds fascinating.” Bucky said dryly, biting into his hot dog.
“He’s ancient.” Harry said. “He was born in 1881.” He jumped when Bucky choked on his food.
“Say what?”
“Yeah. Like I said he’s very ancient.” Harry tilts his head. “But how do you two look so young?”
“Young?” Bucky smirks. “Hear that Stevie?” He laughs, nudging Steve.
“Let’s start with this question.” Steve starts with a smile. “Harry, do you know about the Avengers?”
“A … little bit.” Harry admits shyly. “I wasn’t aloud to watch the TV, and when I did get caught by just a glance, Uncle Vernon would throw a temper.”
“Ok, ok.” Steve nods. “What do you know about the Avengers?” He asks.
“You’re Captain America, you’ve been frozen in ice for 70 years.” Harry began. “And there’s the late Black Widow who was a Russian assassin, Clint is Hawkeye an American assassin, Hulk is a scientist, Thor is God, and there’s Iron Man who built is own suit and armor.”
“Good, good.” Bucky nods. “Then there’s Wanda, the Scarlet Witch.”
“I just know, what I know.” Harry said with a shrug.
“That’s ok.” Steve told him. “I sunk our enemies ship into the Arctic, and when I woke up it was not 1945. Instead it was 2011.”
Harry slowly nods, and turns to Bucky. “And you?” He asks curiously.
Bucky again lets out a deep burp and he lowers his beer. “My story starts in 1943 when HYDRA captured me and my army fleet.” He pulls out another beer and uses his metal thumb to pop the top. “Zola then used me as a guinea pig for the Super Solider experiment.”
“They took your arm for that?” Harry asked with wide eyes.
Bucky smiles just a little. “No.” His shook his head. “After I was experimented on, Steve found me shortly after. Fast forward to 1945 and Steve and I got ambushed in a train.” He pauses for a moment. “Take it from here Steve.” Clearly he looked to still be bothered by what happened next.
“Uh.” Steve blinks, then he clears his throat. “During the ambush, Bucky got blasted out of the train. And … I … I tried to save him.”
Harry listened closely to the story.
“The bar I was holding onto broke.” Bucky said, then took a big gulp of his beer.
“A, and that’s how you lost your arm.” Harry finished in a whisper, watching Bucky nod.
“I did go back for you Buck.” Steve said, turning to him. “All of us, the Hollowing Commandos. But the snow and ice.” He trails off for a moment. “The team forced me to quiet when the sun disappeared.”
Bucky glares at him. “How many times do I have to tell you. It’s not your fault. So stop it, Punk.”

Some time later, the Barnes sat in the dinning room. "Wanda, doll. You have done it again." Bucky said as he stares at the spread on the table.
"This looks really good." Harry smiled.
"Thank you, boys." Wanda smiled. "So, go ahead and dish up before it gets cold."
Harry paused as he watched his new found family. "Uh, is that offer of not attending Hogwarts still available?" He asks nervously. He had made the discussion and thought about it long and hard
Bucky blinked, Wanda was mid chew, Becca just stared and Alpine stole a French fry.
Finally Bucky cleared his throat and turns to him. "Of course it is." He nods. "First thing tomorrow."-
"First thing tomorrow is we go to shopping for Harry's bedroom." Wanda interrupts firmly.
"And then we'll get you register at one of the middle schools." Bucky added. "We should be able to get you in the one close to Becca's elementary school."
Harry smiled. A normal school, with normal teenage problems.
Harry picked up his fork again feeling the world just got lighter for him.
Chapter Text
“What am I doing here Buck?” Sam complained with his arms folded as he followed Bucky through a furniture store. “I got some serious shit to do.”
"I called all the bad guys Sam, I gave them the day off." Bucky said dryly and turns to him. “Besides, If I have to be here, so do you.” He said shortly, making Sam roll his eyes.
“Yeah, ok Grandpa.” He said sarcastically.
“Becca!” Wanda’s accent is heard around the corner. Bucky and Sam head around the corner, coming up to Wanda’s side as Becca jumped on a bed.
“Rebecca!” Bucky yelled, and his daughter instantly stopped. “Get off that bed right now!” He ordered, and she quickly scrambled off the bed.
“S, sorry.” She apologized with a squeak.
“Looks like Harry found something he likes.” Sam spoke as he turns to see the teen standing around the next corner.
Bucky turns and approaches him. “Hey, find something you like?” He asks.
Harry is running a hand along the trim of a bookcase storage bed. “Yeah.” He nods. “But.” He stops and turns to his father. “The price.” He lifts up the price tag. “It’s too much to ask for.”
“You let me and Wanda worry about that.” Bucky said as Sam and Wanda approach. “Now lets go find a nightstand to match.”
XxXxXxXxXx
Later that day, the Barnes and Sam returned home from the furniture store. Harry stood safely in the hallway peeking into his room watching as Bucky, Sam and Steve worked on taking apart the guest room furniture. Harry winced when a metal rail that Sam was holding, swung open and hit the wall behind him, creating a hole.
"Agh! Samual." Bucky groaned.
"Sorry." Sam apologized with a wince as he set the rail down and turned to examine the hole behind him. "I'll fix it!"
"Don't you have some shit to do?" Bucky asks dryly while also giving him the Bionic Stare.
"Hey, stop giving me that look!" Sam yells, pointing at him. "Steve!"
Steve sighs as he ran a hand along his face.
Wanda walked past Harry as she entered the bedroom. "And what is going on in here?" She demanded lightly. "I cannot concentrate downstairs, while you three are so loud!"
"Sorry babe." Bucky apologized.
Wanda carefully moved around everything scattered on the floor and moved to the hole in the wall. "What happened here?" She asks curiously.
"I'll fix it!" Sam told her. "I promise, the railing fell out of my hand. I'm sorry."
Wanda waved her hand in front of the hole, and it magically fixed itself. "It's ok." She turns to look at the three men, then to the mess on the floor, then back to the three men. "Why don't you three take a timeout for lunch?" She offers.
XxXxXxXxXx
That night, the house was quit and dark. The big red numbers on Bucky's alarm clock read 1:20 Wanda suddenly jerks awake, quickly sitting up. "Bucky." She grabs his flesh arm and shook him. "Bucky."
Bucky groggily lifts his face from his pillow. "What?"
"Something or someone is downstairs."
"Could be Alpine." Bucky argued, but then his enhanced hearing picks up something. "Scratch that." He quickly said, the cat would not make noise like that. The sleep from his fogged head quickly disappeared and he shoves the blankets off to stand.
"I'm calling Steve!" Still in the bed, Wanda reached for her phone.
"No. Don't wake him." Bucky said as he pulls on a pair of grey sweatpants. "He could be in the middle of that Eagles Flying dream."
Becca came running in, pulling Harry by the hand. "Daddy!" Becca cried. "There's something downstairs." In her free hand is Alpine.
"I know." Bucky yanks on a white T-shirt. "Stay with your mother."
Wanda patted the bed. "Becca, come here."
As Becca climbed onto the king size bed, Harry followed Bucky out of the room.
XxXxXxX
Outside the house. Steve and Tony quietly made their way to the front porch after Steve an alarm woke him that something was wrong at Bucky's. "I got heat signatures." Tony informed.
"How many?"
The billionaire pauses for a moment. "4."
"Ok." Steve nods, forming a plan. "I'm gonna unlock the door with my spare." He moves to the front porch with Tony behind him.
The Iron Man suit making noise on the steps.
"Stealth, Tony." Steve turns to him. "Don't you remember what stealth is?"
Tony's helmet retracts. "Of course I do Capsicle!"
"Shhhh!" Steve shushed, before turning back around and carefully and slowly opening the front door.
The light switch is hen heard clicking on and Steve shoved the door open.
A small creature what looked like an elf stood in the middle of the living room, and pulling on his large flappy ears in worry.
Harry moved around from Bucky. "Dobby!"
Dobby the House Elf stood in the middle of the living room, his smile lift up when his eyes landed on Harry. "Harry Potter, sir!"
Chapter Text
“Harry Potter!” Dobby beams as he looks towards his favorite wizard.
“How did you find me Dobby?” Harry asked with surprise, Dobby continued to beam.
“The Sorcerer Supreme of course.” The little elf answered.
Harry frowns. “Who?” He asks confused.
“Dr. Steven Strange.” Steve answered, now leaning back in a chair.
“The most annoying, pain in the ass, time tuner ever.” Bucky grumped, leaving the living room as everybody watches him.
“So.” Harry starts moving his eyes from where Bucky disappeared back to Steve. “You have a wizard here too?” He asks.
“Not a wizard.” Tony held up a finger. “A Sorcerer.” He corrects.
Harry frowns at him. “There’s a difference?” He asks.
“Thank God Sam’s not here to hear this.” Bucky said as he returns, holding beer bottles and held one each out to Steve and Tony, then Bucky gently tossed a lemonade to Harry, who caught it.
“Why should Sam not be here?” Harry asked him.
“Because there is a big debate between James and Sam about magic.” Wanda’s voice had them all turning towards the stairs to see her coming down.
“Oh.” Harry nods.
“Becca is in our bed.” Wanda said to Bucky as she moves over to the couch and sits down next to Steve.
“Everybody, this is Dobby The House Elf.” Harry introduced.
“Dobby, The Free Elf.” Dobby corrected happily.
“Come again?” Tony asks.
“In the Wizard World, House Elves can be inherited or get got into a Wizard family.” Harry explained. “Unfortunately, Dobby ended up with the Malfoy family who treated him very badly.”
“Dobby got hurt very badly for years.” Dobby added sadly.
“That’s horrible.” Steve said.
“Dobby got use to pain over time.” The little elf said.
“How do you get an elf like you?” Tony asks. “I want one.”
“You’re lazy enough as is.” Bucky retorts before he takes a long swig of his beer.
“Remind me again why I spared your life?” Tony retorts back.
“Both of you two stop it!” Steve said.
Tony huffed. “Yes, mom.”
“Stark.” Wanda held up her right hand with red energy dancing around her hand. “Behave inside my house.”
“Yes ma’am.” Tony quickly said.
Dobby stared at Wanda with wide eyes. “You’re a witch too?” He asks with wonder and amazement.
Wanda nods. “Yes, I am.”
Bucky moves over to the back of the couch and warps his arms around her from behind. “And Doc Strange can walk through a blackhole. He’s not taking my witch.” He said protectively. “And if he wants to argue like usual, he can kiss my metal arm.”
“Buck.” Steve ran a hand along his face.
Bucky just shrugs. “Nobody’s taking my Wanda from me again. Especially that.”-
“Buck.” Steve cuts in, giving him a look.
“What?” Bucky again shrugs. “No one is taking my Wanda.” He repeats, leaning forward to rest his chin on his wife’s shoulder.
Harry watched as Bucky and Steve soon starting to talk argue about the old neighborhood and where things were or weren’t, while Wanda just let them as she patted Bucky’s arm.
Tony gets up from the chair he’s in, and moves to Harry. “Kid.” He places a hand on Harry’s shoulder. “Welcome to your new life.”
Harry smiled up at him and looked around. “It’s a breath of fresh air, and I love it.” He looked down when Dobby gently tugged on his arm.
“Dobby is suppose to ask Harry Potter to come with him to the Sorcerer.” Dobby said.
That snapped Bucky’s attention right back. “What!?”
“James.” Wanda scolded, patting his arms. “Becca is still asleep upstairs.”
“Sorry.” Bucky kisses her cheek before he straightens up, but kept his hands on her shoulders. “That pin head.”-
“James my love, go upstairs and check on our daughter please, I hear her.” Wanda leaned her head back to look at him upside down.
He looked like he was about to argue, but a loud thud upstairs had him leave the living room and go to the stairs.
Harry waited until Bucky had disappeared, then turned to Wanda. “Could you go with me?” He asks.
Wanda nods. “I will."
Steve nods. "I'll go with." He turns to Tony. "Tony?"
"Nope! He's not tricking me into being trapped inside a giant donut again." He saw both Harry and Dobby give him funny looks. "Long story."

I tried to keep Stephen Strange in character
Chapter Text
It was a stormy night and inside a home what’s hidden well in the woods, smoke came out of the chimney.
A woman walked down the wooded, dirt and warn path. Approaching the front porch she walked up to the front door where she gave three hard knocks.
After a few minutes, the door opened to reveal Sirius Black.
“Andromeda.” He swiftly opens the door wider to allow her entry.
She walked into the house, warmed by the fire roaring in the fireplace inside the living room. “I’ve looked everywhere I could.” She said as she brushed the water off her shoulders of her coat. “But there is no sign of Harry Potter.” She informs pulling off her coat. “I’m sorry Sirius.”
“So the Daily Prophet is true then?” Remus Lupin asks as he comes into the room from the living room. “He really is missing?”
“I’m afraid so.” Andromeda nods.
Sirius shakes his head as he sits on the couch. “This is not good.” He said. “Not good at all.”
Andromeda moves to sit next to him. “He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back and Harry now gone. How are we suppose to.” She trailed off.
Remus leans back on the couch. “What about Lilly’s sister? He asks. “Could she have done something?”
“Those people are horrible.” Sirius said, rubbing his chin. "But it wouldn't hurt to sniff and see what I can dig up." He pauses. "If any."
XxXxXxXxX
Hermione Granger sat at a small cafe, the Daily Prophet in front of her. Harry's picture on front page news declaring him missing. "Harry, where are you?" She asks worriedly. She had stayed away from the Weasley family as the way Ron had been acting towards both her and Harry during the whole year.
So when Ron's mother asked if she'd like to visit for the summer, Hermione declined.
XxXxXxXx
Harry stared up at the building in front of him.
"Welcome, Harry." Steve greeted as he wrapped his arm around his shoulders. "177A Bleecker Street." He waved a hand towards the building.
"And this is the Sanctum Sanctorum?" Harry asks him.
"It is." Wanda nods as she comes around her car to approach. "Let's go." She instructed. "James doesn't like it when I come here."
"Yeah." Harry said dryly. "The mention of the name he wasn't happy."
Steve nods. "A little hot under the collar, huh? Yeah, Strange and Buck have a issues with each other."
Harry looked up at him. "Were Wanda and Strange?" He starts. "Uh." He laced his fingers together. "Like this?" He asks, and Steve just stared blankly. "Together, together?"
"Oh!" Steve quickly shook his head. "No, no. It's just a long story and well, you can judge him for yourself see what you think."
Harry took a deep breath. "Let's ... just get this over with."
"Sounds like your use to the way magic works." Steve said as they make their way up the stairs to the front door.
"Let's just say I'm use to it by now." Harry said with a sigh as they met up with Wanda at the stoop.
Harry reached up to knock, but the doors open by themselves. The three went inside and the doors closed behind them.
Harry looked around the dim entryway.
"Harry James Potter!"
Harry jumped startled as his head jerks towards the double stairs at the back of the middle of the room, a tall man descended down the stairs. "You're a hard wizard to find, young man." His left foot stepped off the last step of the stairs. He turned to Wanda. "Wanda." He nods in greeting, then he saw Steve. "Captain." Strange turns back to Wanda. "You only brought one of your bodyguards? Where's the caveman?"
"He did not want to come." Wanda said simply. "And he only let me come if Steve agreed to come with me."
Strange nods. "That so, huh." He turns his attention back on Harry. "Should we go somewhere else?" He asks.
The next thing Harry knew, he was in a in an office, Strange sat behind his desk. Harry, Wanda and Steve sat in chairs.
"Now." Strange placed his elbows on the desk, lacing his fingers together.
"Are you a wizard too then?" Harry asks.
"Me? Oh, no no. I am a Sorcerer." Strange answered, then asked. "Have you met a Sorcerer before?"
"No sir." Harry shook his head. "I mean the only time I got close was the late Nicolas Flamel during my first year at Hogwarts." He explained.
Strange leaned back in his chair. "I know many things. Only when it comes to magic. The Wizard World is apart of that knowledge."
Harry straightened up in his chair. "So, you know?" He trailed off.
"Albus Dumbledore." Strange pointed at him. "Your headmaster at the school. How did you come to America, Harry?"
"Uh." Harry turns to Wanda.
"It's ok Harry." She smiled. "You're doing ok." She reassured, knowing he's nervous about upsetting her with loud thoughts.
Nodding, Harry turns back to Strange. "My relatives. My aunt is my late mom's sister. They brought me here and wanted to just dump me off with Sargent Barnes. When that happened he wasn't home so my uncle caused a disturbance with his temper." Harry explained. "They got arrested for that, I don't know and I don't care where they are currently."
"I see." Strange nods.
Something in Harry just snapped, he could feel he could trust the man behind the desk. "Ever since the death of my parents. Nothing has been right, my relatives don't care for my safety, they use me for chores a." He trailed off when Strange held up a hand.
"Sounds like I'm gonna need to do some research." He straightened up in his chair. "I would like for you to come back. But without the 100 year old soldiers."
"Bucky's not gonna like that." Steve muttered.
XxXxXxXxXx
"The next time I see Strange, I'm gonna."-
"Buck." Steve cuts him off, turning to his best friend and motioned to Becca who was currently in the living room coloring.
They were now at home inside the kitchen, after the visit with Steven Strange.
"Who does he think he is calling me a caveman?" Bucky grumbled as Wanda approached them.
"Honey, here." She takes his metal hand and places a stress ball into his palm. "Just don't break this one." She leaned up on her tip toes to kiss his cheek.
"'This time?'" Steve repeats with an amused smile.
"I used Sam's head as target practice." Bucky admits as he squeezed the stress ball as lifting it up and down like he was holding a small dumbbell.
Steve blinked. "Ok. But that doesn't break stress balls."
Wanda opens a cabinet to pull out some mugs. "He tore it in half." She said replied.
"Bucky!" Steve's shocked at it.
"Thanks a lot doll, he's now gonna be a mother hen." Bucky huffed, he turned. "I need to go punch something." With that he left the kitchen.
Steve watches him as he opens a door in the narrow hall and disappear.
"What's he up too?"
Wanda is now in front of the stove, turning it on as she placed the tea kettle on the burner. "We turned the basement into a gym." She answered, turning to him. "Half of it is and the other half is for my yoga. You're welcome to go down there, only Becca is not allowed down there."

Chapter Text
Harry walked down the hallway, and entered the kitchen to find Pietro slicing into a cake that's sitting on the counter. "Pietro?"
"Agh!" Pietro cried, jumping startled. "I didn't do it!" He cried as he turned around only to find Harry, looking confused. "Harry! Don't do that."
"Ah, sorry." Harry smiled sheepishly as he moves further into the room. "Do you." He starts to ask. "Do you know where the washer and dryer are?"
Pietro nods. "Yes. You don't have to do all the laundry Harry." He reminds.
Harry nods. "I know." He leans back against a counter just as the kitchen door opens to reveal Bucky walking in carrying three brown paper bags, Steve behind him. "I just want to do my worth."
"Worth?" Bucky questions as he and Steve set the bags down on the island. "Harry, we talked about this."
"S-sorry." Harry apologies.
Bucky turns to him. "I guess we could give you some chores."
"You guys didn't give him any chores?" Steve asks curiously as Wanda stumbles in with her arms full, Steve quickly moves to help her.
"Wanda didn't want to give him any chores since he's done so much already." Bucky explained, grabbing a few bags from Wanda.
The Witch moves to the cake and saw a lice missing. "Pietro!" She turns to him.
"Bye!" In a blur, her brother is gone leaving behind a gust of wind.
Bucky rolled his eyes as he pulls out a carton of eggs. "At least he only took a slice."
"Annoying." Wanda said as he gives her the eggs to put in the fridge she stood next to.
"He does have that matusalem." Steve points out. "Thanks to the Infinity Stone."
"You and James have big apatites." Wanda said.
"And that, my Little Witch, is because of the Serum." Bucky replied as he pulls out oatmeal, then some cereal boxes.
Steve grins. "Buddy, you already had that apatite before HYDRA." He catches the marshmallows that Bucky threw at his face.
Wanda lifts the detergent and holds it in her arms, then she turns to Harry. "Harry, would you come with me please."
He nods. "Yes, of course." He follows Wanda out of the kitchen leaving Bucky and Steve in the kitchen.
A black dog sniffed the ground around the Dursley house. He looked up when he heard voices from the neighbors.
"It's horrible what the Dursley's did!" A woman's voice said firmly.
The dog trotted over but stayed close to not be seen.
"Poor Harry." Another woman's voice added, and the dog's head peeked through a bush to see a group of women sitting at a patio.
"Where do you think the poor boy's at?"
"Hopefully he's safe."
"Nick told me that he heard Dursley saying that Harry's real father lives across the pond."
"America!?!?!?!!?"
"Shhhh!" The woman who revealed it just shushed them. "Nosey Petunia is putting her ear in the cracks again."
The black dog slowly moved out of the bush, then hurried off letting the woman gossip.
Sirius transforms back into his human self. "If that gossip is true, then I still need to do some digging."
Later, Harry is in the living room reading a magical book that Dr. Strange gave him, Alpine is curled up on the couch next to him when Becca comes in carrying a puzzle.
"Harry." She shows him a Disney Stitch puzzle. "Will you do this puzzle with me please?" She asks.
He puts a bookmark in the book. "Sure." He sets the book down as he slides off the couch and moves to the coffee table.
After a few minutes, Bucky comes in but pauses in the doorway when he saw the two kids working on the puzzle. He turns back around to disappear, then a moment later comes back to take a picture.
Wanda smiles as she approaches to stand next to him. "I was so worried that those two wouldn't be able to get along." She said with a smile.
"Me too." Bucky nods. "I was really afraid that Becca was gonna get jealous or angry cause we brought Harry home." He wraps his arm around Wanda, pulling her to his side and kissing her forehead.

In the morning, the Barnes’ car drove through traffic. Harry looked out the window behind the passenger seat. He quickly noticed that everything is backwards. Bucky pulled into the post office parking lot and parked into a spot.
Wanda lifts her purse from the floorboard, opening it she pulled out the bills and hands them over to Bucky, who opened the driver door.
“Come on, Harry.” He said easily climbs out of the car. Harry gets out of the car and jogs up to Bucky.
“Feel overwhelmed yet?” He asks as he slings his flesh arm around his son.
“To be honest, I’ve been overwhelmed my whole life.” Harry answered as they walk up the sidewalk towards the front door.
Walking inside, Harry pauses to look around. “Wow.” It was bigger then he use to.
“Every city and country post office is different.” Bucky nods as he approaches a wall where a slit is that reads “Out Of Town” and he turns to Harry, who jogs over to him. “Ready for the mall?”
Harry nods. “Yeah.”
Inside the mall, Becca took ahold of Harry’s hand as the family walked into a clothing store.
“Ok.” Bucky grabs a cart and Wanda sets her purse in the kid seat. “Harry, do you have any preferences?” He asks. “Like do you like pictures or designs or patterns on your shirts?”
“Um, I just wear what really fits.” Harry admits. “I was never really given a choice.”
“You do now.” Wanda said with a nod, then with a playful tone added. “My wonderful grumpy old husband also needs to update his wardrobe.”
Bucky gives her side look. “What’s that suppose to mean, doll?”
“Nothing.” Wanda smiles sweetly at him.
“Uh huh.” Bucky gives a nod.
Soon Wanda had wondered off and soon the cart has some shirts, jeans and a package of underwear (to Harry’s embarrassment).
“Don’t worry Harry they’ll stretch out.” Bucky reassured. “You get wedgies?”
The teen quickly shook his head. “No sir.”
“Good.” Bucky nods. “I donna shove any kids’ head into toilets.” He grumbled.
“How do you?” Harry started to ask, but then trailed off.
“No. I was never a bully.” Bucky answered the unspoken question. “I just stood up for Steve and my sisters.”
Making heir way to the front, Harry's eyes nearly pop out as the price gets larger and larger, then the grand total nearly had him stop breathing.
Pushing the cart into the cart return the boys grab the bags and start to walk out, and meeting up with Wanda who sat on the large water fountain in the middle of the mall.
Bucky eyes the big Victoria's Secret bag that sat behind her left leg.
"Clint called." She informs. "The kids are excited to meet Harry, so they're on their way."
"Then I'll call up Steve." Bucky said. "Let him know to grab more brats."
"I think we should call Sam, let him come out with the boys." Wanda added.
"Sounds good." Bucky reached for his wife's bag, but she quickly took it.
"Sorry love." The red head smiles. "You know you have to wait."
Harry was loving his new relatives and their friends. America was so much different than London. He's now sitting on the couch in the living room with his father next to him as they worked on the Nintendo Switch 2, Becca is currently glued to the front window as she excitedly waited for Steve.
"Ok. All set." Bucky said as he stood up after setting the parental controls in case Becca wanted to play it too. "Harry." He turns to him. "How do you feel about a regular school?" He asks.
"Regular school?" Harry asks.
"Yeah." Bucky passes. "Haven't you gone to a regular school before?"
Harry nods. "I have. Pre Hogwarts."
"That way you'll be doing the normal teenage stuff."
Harry frowns. "The what?"
"Ya know. Stay up after bedtime, sneaking out after curfew, arguing with me and bugging me to take the car for a joy ride." Bucky lists, then pauses. "Aw damn." He moves out of the living room, Harry watches as Bucky moves into a hallway opening the basement door and disappears.
The Maximoff twins come down the stairs. "What happened to James?" Pietro asks confused.
"I think he scared himself." Harry answered. "He got more scared than myself." He added just before they hear a loud noise in the basement.
"I better go talk to him." Wanda said moving to the basement door.
"Uncle Steve's here!" Becca announced to the whole house as she bounced.

Chapter Text
“Magic is not a child’s play time.” Dr. Strange began. “It’s the art of making the impossible, possible. But of course you know all that by now. Studying books, memorizing formulas and treat magic like a delicate recipe.”
Strange and Harry are sitting in Strange’s library, Harry sat at a desk with paper and pencils and he listened to Strange, and Strange’s cloak floated around the room gently. He turns around to face Harry.
“Questions?”
“Uh, what’s the difference between wizards and sorcerers?”
“A number of ways.” Strange answers. “Wizards like yourself learn magic through study and research, often using spellbooks. Sorcerers have raw, innate power often stemming from a draconic or magical bloodline..” He explains. “Wizards need to rely on intelligence for their knowledge based magic, while Sorcerers rely on charisma to channel their innate power.”
“Wizards are versatile, able to learn many spells and swap them out after rest. Sorcerers have limit powers to enhance and shape their magic, often yielding higher damage. Wizards must prepare their spells from spell books in advance. Sorcerers cast spells spontaneously, knowing a set of number spells at all times.”
“Ok.” Harry slowly nods.
“Magic is a tool and a weapon. Your education at Hogwarts has been decent. But you need a proper guid.”
“Do … do I.” Harry hesitated. “Do I have to be the Greatest Wizard? I don’t want that.”
Strange studied him. He moved over to the desk, then pulled up a chair. “I know where you’re coming from, Harry.” He said gently. “I was not always a Sorcerer.”
Harry stares. “Really?”
“Yes. Before the super hero life, I was a world famous neurosurgeon. Until one decision chanced my life forever and I was in a horrific car accident and not able to operate anymore.”
“Wh … what happened?”
“Traditional medicine failed, I was forced to look for healing in and hope in a mysterious enclave known as Kamar-Taj. Long story short I learned to accept my new destiny."
Harry looked down. "I've learned a long time ago that no one was rescuing me. I accepted my fate as a deadly bloody tool." He said sadly. He looked up when the cloak floated down on him, like it was hugging him.
"It's not fair what's happened to you, Harry." Strange said gently. "The Avengers you've met, they all had different lives before fate threw them for a loop."
Harry took a shuttering breath. "I don't want to be The Chosen One."
"You don't have to be." Strange said. "But Voldemort has begun to continue what he's started years ago. And when it is time to face him, the Avengers will fight alongside each other."
Later. Harry is gently swaying side by side on the new Malaga Sing Chair on the back porch staring off into space. The back door slid open to reveal Steve walking out.
"Hey buddy." He greets with a friendly smile.
"Hi."
Steve moves to sit on the steps of the porch, twisting himself to face him as he leans backwards on the pillar behind him. "Congratulations on getting into a regular school, and that it's close to Becca's elementary school."
Harry smiles. "Thanks."
Steve studied him. "Harry, I know something's bugging ya. You can talk to me."
The teen took a moment, before he moves his legs to sit Indian style. "I'm trying to learn to not think so loud, I've been making Wanda dizzy and emotional. Dad isn't going to be happy with me when he comes home."
Steve sighs. "Wanda does know how to control her powers, but sometimes when we get to thinking to hard on stuff, that's when it's hard to control." He explains. "Bucky won't get mad at you." He studies Harry. "What's wrong Harry?"
"I ... I feel alone. I mean, I finally have a warm and caring family, but I feel alone."
Steve silently nods, he then moves and sits next to the teen. "Believe it or not, you and I are kinda in the same boat."
Harry blinked rapidly and looked up at him. "The same boat?"
"Yeah. And believe it or not, I didn't look like this forever."
"You didn't?"
"Nope. I was a scrawny kid, allergic to anything and everything. I couldn't do sports, or run, or jog."
"But." Harry stares up at him with wide eyes. "You." He trails off.
"I'll talk to Bucky and maybe the three of us could go to the Smithsonian." Steve said easily with a grin. Then his smile fades. "I've been on my own since I was 16. Bucky has been a true best friend, he's been in my corner for a very long time."
Harry looks down at his lap. "Could I write to my own best friend?" He asks. "She's taking care of my owl, until I can go get Hedwig - my owl. And my Godfather, he maybe in hiding but Hermione knows the Wizarding World better then I do."
Steve rubbed his chin. "I don't see why not."
Chapter Text
Harry followed his nose into the kitchen. Bucky and Pietro stood in front of the stove arguing over something, the kitchen island has a nice breakfast Casserole.
“Wow, that smells good.” Harry said, making the argument stop and both men turn to see Harry, who raised his eyebrows at them with a little startled.
Pietro has a massive case of bedhead still wearing his pajamas, and Bucky’s wearing a pink ruffled apron, the former Winter Solider held up a flesh finger.
“Not a word.” He warns. “Not a single word.”
Harry quickly nods. “Not saying a thing.” He says just as a freshly showered Wanda walked in behind him and placed her hands on his shoulders.
“James.” She tries to hold in her laughter, and Harry is pressing his lips together with a smile.
“Your brother put this on me!” Bucky hissed, yanking it off and rolling it up before shoving it into Pietro’s chest then stalked towards the kitchen door and yanking it open. And almost colliding with Steve.
Steve quickly side stepped, and Bucky stalked out of the house.
“James, come back!” Wanda hurries up to Steve’s side, but Bucky kept walking.
Steve let out a whistle. “Is it safe to ask what happened?” He asks as he follows Wanda into the house.
“Oh, Pietro did it again.” Wanda answered like it was a normal thing in the house, she moves to the fridge.
“Pietro.” Steve gives him a disapproval look.
Pietro tried to run his fingers through his hair. “What?”
“Pietro, go wake Becca so she can get ready for school.” Wanda ordered in a firm voice. “Now.”
“I’m older.” Pietro huffed out, puffing out his chest.
“Pietro!” His sister snaps.
“I’m going, I’m going.” He complained, before he leaves the kitchen.
Steve shook his head before turning to Wanda. "Want me to go find Bucky?"
She shook her head. "No. He's in the garage." She turns to him. "But thank you."
The blonde smiles. "You're welcome." He turns to Harry, who was just standing there with his arms dangled at his sides. "Morning Harry."
The teen nods. "Morning."
"Harry, do you have anymore nasty relatives we should know about?" Wanda asks as she closes the fridge with her hip as she's holding the milk carton.
"There's Marge. Vernon's sister." Harry answered. "She's more nastier then the Dursley's put together."
Steve shook his head. "And we have to still have to defend people like them." He said as the front door is heard followed by a slam that shook the house.
Wanda sets the plates down on the counter. "Bucky." She said softly as she starts to leave the kitchen.
In the master bedroom, Bucky is stretched out on the bed's pillows, his back resting against the brick wall behind him. That's how Wanda found him.
"Bucky." She closes their bedroom door before approaching the bed. "What's." She starts to ask him what's wrong, but she quickly realized what the date is. "Your mom's birthday." She climbs on the bed and moves to him.
"Yeah." He said with a sigh. He turns to her. "Doll, I'm sorry."
"For what?" Wanda asks as she moves to cuddle against him, and his arms pull her to his chest.
"I'm a grumpy old man."
She pulls away to look at him properly. "That you are." She gently pats his chest. "You're my grumpy old man."
Bucky moved to kiss her softly on the lips. "Do you want to come with me and Steve?" He asks.
"No, you boys do your own thing." Wanda again pats his chest. "Now, go for your shower."
The corner of his mouth moves up. "You're giving me orders now, huh?"
Her hand fists of shirt as she smiles. "I am." She lets go of his shirt as she moves to stand. "Now hurry up, we're wasting time here." She squealed as she ran around the bed when Bucky lunged for her, he lunged for her again.
They laugh as he pins her under him on the bed. "If I have to, you're joining me."
She smiles up at him. "I already had mine."
He pouts. "You just killed the mood." He rolled off her to lay on his back.
Wanda climbed on top of him. "Steve is downstairs." Her fingers drummed on his chest.
Bucky sighs. "Fine, fine. I'll be good." He caves.
She kisses him gently on the lips. "That's my James." She kisses him again. "Good boy." She leans down to give him a longer kiss.
Bucky’s car slowed to a stop in front of the high school, thanks to Tony who gave them a glowing recommendation.
“Got your backpack? Notebooks? Your phone?” The questions flew out of Steve as he sat in the passenger seat.
“Steve, stop being your ma.” Bucky said, giving him a look.
In the backseat, Harry tried to not sigh for the hundredth time this morning. So, he’s now known as Harry Barnes for his new school, and it’s gonna to be a nice but scary change.
"Backpack, check, notebooks, check, and no phone." Harry listed back. It was a nice change to know someone other than Mrs. Weasley to fuss over him.
Steve frowns. "No phone?" His blue eyes turn to his best friend. "Buck."
"Wanda and I have one ordered, but we're not activating it till Friday."
Harry started to open the back door of the car. "Can I go?" He asks.
"Yes." Bucky nods. "We'll meet you at 3."
Harry smiles. "Ok."
"Have a good day, Harry. And make friends." Steve wished as Harry got out of the car.
"I'll try." Harry swung his backpack over his shoulder and waved as the car drives off.
Nerves shot through him as Harry walked through the halls. He faced death a number of times ... but this? It felt scarier since he was now blending in regular kids, who have regular and normal lives.
Squaring his shoulders, Harry took a deep breath as he pulled out his schedule the principle gave him, he had spent most of last night memorizing the map Mrs. Hasting also gave him.
All he had to do was fine Room 202.
Inside of the school was like the other schools pre-Hogwarts with the long hallways, waxed floors and rows of lockers. It had him yearning for the open halls of Hogwarts and the closed hallways felt congested and isolated.
Harry moved to the stairs and hurried up them. He sighed in relief when he finally found the room. He ran for the classroom and opened the door just as the tardy bell rang, and every head turned to look at him as he stood frozen in place - mostly out of fear.
"Uh, hi." He greets nervously.
The teacher smiles. "You must be the new student, Harry Barnes."
He nods. "Uh, yes ma'am."
"Welcome. There's an empty seat over by Claudia." The teacher turns back to her students. "Claudia, raise your hand please."
A girl with long dark hair sitting near the huge windows, raises her hand.
Harry nods. "Thank you." He moves down to the row of desks, easily finding Claudia who was smiling at him. He slides into the empty desk.
"Hi, Claudia Reed."
He took her hand. "Harry Barnes." It took him a few weeks for him to say the name change with ease, and now he was happy it paid off.

Harry sat alone in the cafeteria, he was almost finished with his lunch when a kid comes over to him.
"Excuse me?" He said nervously, making Harry look up. "Do you mind sharing the table?" The boy asks nervously.
"Sure, have a seat." Harry nods, the boy sighs in relief and sets his lunch trey down before sitting down himself.
"I'm new too." He smiles a little. "But I'm nowhere near confident as you."
Harry blinked with surprise. "Why'd you say that?" He asks with surprise.
"I live right next door to you." The boy answered. "The flamingos in the front yard? Grams love those birds. Your uncle, my aunt thought he was gonna wake the dead that night."
"You were there?"
"I was!"
Harry tried to not squirm as he felt his stomach turn. "I'm sorry for the disturbance."
The boy shrugs. "Not your fault." He smiles and holds out his hand. "I'm Russell."
"Harry." The more Harry said the surname and the more everyone said it, he was getting more and more comfortable with it. "I'm Sargent Barnes' long lost son."
Russell's eyes grew. "That's why your uncle was so hot that night."
"And I'm deeply sorry for that."
Russell again shrugs. "Like I said don't be." He used his fork to stab at the meat on his trey. "My Auntie said your uncle was a bowling ball of thunder that night."
"He really does have a temper." Harry agreed with a nod. "What did your grandma have to say?"
"She enjoyed the show, even made a bowl of popcorn and brought out a lawn chair to watch. Until the police took him away."
Bucky leaned against his car, arms folded as he waited for the school bell to ring.
"Relax Buck." Steve said from the passenger seat, book in hand. "What are you so nervous for?"
"You're right." Bucky decides and moves around his car to get back in the driver seat. "He's half mine, so." He trails off as he turns to the blonde next to him.
"What are you so worried about Buck?" Steve asks, that earns him a look.
"Like I said, the kid's half mine. You remember more about my past then I do." He folds his arms. "Thanks to HYDRA."
"I don't think you have to worry about Harry."
Finally they heard the school bell.
Wanda just sat on the couch with the mail in her hands, Alpine jumped into her lap purring loudly.
Bill, junk, bill, junk and a two letters for Harry.
The front door opens and Bucky walks in carrying a bag, Harry follows him, and Steve enters lastly closing the door as he's carrying a bag of his own.
"Hey doll." Bucky leans down to kiss her gently. "How was your day?" He asks.
"It was good." She smiles. "How was the cemetery?"
"Old." He answered. "Ancient like me and Steve."
That comment made Steve snort. "Don't let Sam hear that last part." He said as he drops down in a chair next to Harry, who had quietly sat down on the ottoman in front of the big bay window.
"He is not hearing that from me." Bucky said, grabbing the other bags and moving on towards the kitchen.
Wanda rolled her eyes. "Harry." She lifts the two letters from her lap. "You got some responses." She holds up her hand and the two letters magically hop over to Harry.
"Thank you." He gently took letters. He opens the one from Hermione.
Dear Harry,
Oh Harry, it's so good to hear that you’re ok! And of course I forgive you! I was so worried. Be glad I’m not lecturing you on not telling me about disappearing. I just want you to be alright and safe. There is no shame on disappearing after what happened.
The Wizarding World is pretty nasty after what happened at the Tournament. Ron says his dad said the government is tearing itself apart from within. It’s split right down the middle! Half is siding with Dumbledore, while the other half is taking Fudge’s side. I’m dreading going back to school next year, especially since you’re not returning. I would send you a copy of The Daily Prophet but there’s no news incept for both sides screaming insults at each other, it’s just slander. It’s actually frighting.
Ron asked (through Ginny) if I could come with them for the summer. But I declined. After how Ron treated us both last year. Not happening.
Best wishes, Hermione
PS, thank you for trusting me with Hedwig, she misses you. We both do. And I hope we can meet up someday.
Harry set Hermione's letter down, then opened Sirius' letter.
Pup,
You’ve had me so worried and nearly gave me a full head of grey hair. I’m so sorry Harry, I really am. I should've looked for you after the tournament. And because of my irrational behavior for chasing Peter, instead of staying with you, and giving you the warmth that you so desire and crave.
I still have never forgiven myself, and because of my mistake, you were thrown into a cold very cold home. We should’ve been a family Harry. You, me and Remus but instead our stores have given us different paths. And that fault, is mine, Pup.
Wherever you are, the Magic Coven you spoke of, I hope they’re cherishing and providing for you. Cedric’s death has only proven we have no real control over what happens in the way of magic. His death is not your fault, Harry. I know you’re trying to blame yourself what happened to him. But don’t.
I love you, Harry,
Sirius
Chapter 19
Notes:
I had to add some OC's to really help this story
Chapter Text
It's now well into November, Harry had been getting letters from Hermione pretty often, the last letter he got from her was an update about Ron as both he and Ginny had been asking about him. Harry told her to just be vague.
A volcano science project sat on the kitchen island. Harry and Russell worked on the details.
"Are you sure your stepmom is ok with us using the kitchen?" Russell is asking, looking at Harry.
"As long as we keep the kitchen in order." Harry answers with a nod as Bucky leaned back from the pantry with an arm load.
"Alright boys." He closed the pantry door with his flesh elbow. "As long as we do this right, then Wanda won't make us clean the kitchen with toothbrushes." He sets the agreements on the island next to the project just as the kitchen door opens and Steve walks in. "Just in time punk, grab an apron."
Steve raises his eyebrows in surprise, but he grabs a pink apron with pictures of The Golden Girls sewn into it. "Not wanting to poke the bear, but why not ask Tony for science instead of me?" He asks as he looks at baking soda and vinegar.
"You just poked the bear on that." Harry told him, both he and Russell are wearing safety goggles around their necks.
"Science and Stark is dangerous." Bucky said flatly and grumpily. "He turned the damn roomba into a flying saucer." He added as he grabs a ruffled apron with sunflowers. "Let's do this."
Steve took a deep breath. "Ok." His voice is laced with unsureness.
A few weeks later. Harry is back in the Sanctum Sanctorum.
"What is on your mind, Harry?" Wong is asking as he and Harry roam around the rooms as he and Strange wanted Harry to get familiar with the building as Harry is still pretty new to the place.
Harry took a deep breath. "For years, I've been under stress and being overwhelmed. And then I find out that my dad isn't my dad." He starts to vent. "From a young age I learned pretty quickly that I was different from the Dursleys. Dudley got all the attention and literally mountains of Christmas presents and birthday presents. Petunia and Vernon had been nasty to me they let Dudley beat the crap out of me."
Wong gently placed a hand on Harry's back. "Nobody gets to choose what family they're born into." He said gently.
"There was one time they forced me to clean the attic, I found a trunk. Petunia had a screaming fit cause I found some old letters." Harry added. "She ripped them away from me, made a fire in the fireplace and threw them into the fire."
Wong shook his head.
"Then suddenly I'm on a plane coming here and literally being dumped off. No explanation, no reason. Not until Bruce did a DNA test."
Wong turns to Harry. "Harry." He places his hands on Harry's shoulders. "You are safe now. You don't have anything to worry about."
"But."-
"Yes, the Dark Lord is still out there." Wong interrupted. "But he is not getting to you. You have a whole team in your corner."
Harry's chest heaved heavily as his eyes start to tear up. "I feel like I'm singled out, all the time. Even when I was at Hogwarts."
"No Harry." Wong shook his head. "Not anymore. You never have to worry about that ever again."
"But the Headmaster."-
"You let me worry about that old fart."
Dr. Strange's voice had the two turn to see Strange in a doorway. "That old man has some questions that need to be answered."
Chapter 20
Notes:
So sorry for this one! A big storm started while I was writing this! I wanted to get this out before I loose power
Chapter Text
"Sargent Barnes that's not fair." Tony said, plucking a pro controller from Becca.
"Hey!" She jumps onto the couch and tries to snatch it back. "Uncle Steve!" She cries.
Steve comes up behind Tony and grabs the controller from the billionaire. "Tony, you know the number one rule for you in this house." He said turning to Becca, who beamed as she took the controller.
"Thank you Uncle Steve." She beams, hugging his neck before she turns back around, sliding back down on the couch to face the TV again.
"A Switch?" Tony turns to Steve as he folds his arms. "I better be on the list."
"You're too busy for it." Steve replied rolling his eyes.
"And you might be on the list, if you had one of your own." Becca added as she continued to play her Hello Kitty game.
Tony looked to be thinking it. "Well." He said with heavy hesitation. "What if I got Morgan one?"
Clint laughed, turning to him. "Morgan's too busy being a copy of you, mostly in the fashion and charging on your credit card." He smiled, making Tony roll his eyes.
"But seriously. Who's on the friends list?"
"You sure are nosy, Stark." Bucky said as he walked into the living room with Harry following.
"It's a trait." Tony said with ease, shrugging a shoulder.
Becca rolled her eyes. "For your snooty nose information. I have Grandpa, Uncle Steve, Uncle Sam and Torres."
"Plus a few friends of her own." Bucky added simply. "She and Harry."
Tony pouts. "Fine, fine."
"What are you even doing here?" Bucky questions, making Tony perk up.
"I buried the lead!" He announces. "Cap, you're new head of security now."
Steve raises an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
"Well since I made Happy Morgan's body guard, I need a new head of security."
Bucky sighs. "It's never a dull moment when you're around, Stark."
"My job offer for you is still on the table."
"I like being a Congressman." Bucky folds his arms, and Steve gives his best friend a funny look.
Wong approached Strange. "We need to do something about that dark mark on Harry's arm."
Strange turns from the bookshelves. "I know." He lifts his head up from the book in his hand. "I know, I'm trying to do the research."
"He was able to touch me."
Both Wong and Strange turned as one to see Harry standing in the doorway.
"What did you say?" Strange asks, closing the book and putting it back without looking.
"In the graveyard." Harry began. "Voldemort, he wasn't able to touch me before." He explained. "Now he can, he trapped me on a stone statue and he was delighted that he could touch me."
Strange nods. He approaches Harry, humming for a moment as he looks at the teen. "You have been cursed young man."
"Really?" Harry asks, almost dryly. "I thought it was because I had a crapy shitty life."
"We need to work fast." Strange turns to Wong.
Harry!
You're not, or maybe you will. But the Ministry has taken over Hogwarts! They strongly believe you're hidden somewhere in the school. And that Dumbledore is the one hiding you. Can you believe that? Ginny (through Ron) says hi.
I hope you're doing ok. I am too, despite the Ministry situation.
I know my letter to you is short this time, and I'm sorry for that. But the Order is keeping everything under wraps and tight lipped. They say it's to keep us kids safe.
Oh, before I forget Oliver says he misses you on the team.
Hermione
Harry read and reread Hermione's letter. He sighs heavily as he folds the letter up and moves to the stairs, he finds Bucky's office door open and hoping to find him in there, he approaches the room.
But Bucky's office is empty, feeling disappointed Harry moves on down the hallway and disappears into his bedroom.
A large black dog is running from a woman who is holding a broom chasing the dog.
"Damn dog, stay away!"
The dog runs around the corner and disappears into a bush. A few minutes later Sirius emerges. "Damn woman." He rubs his head. "All I did was lift a leg." He pulls out a piece of paper. "Now, where was I going?"
Chapter Text
In the backyard of the house, Becca is on the swing set, the shed opened and the barbecue was thrown out violently where it crashed to the ground and Bucky walked out and kicked it.
“Damn thing.”
“So much for steaks and brats.” Sam said easily after he walked around the corner of the house.
“Can’t get the damn thing to work.” Bucky said with a sigh as he picked the barbecue backup. “Not the first time.”
“I hear ya.” Sam nods. “Sarah just bought herself a new one last month. Took me an hour to play with it to make sure it worked right.” He pauses. “Why don’t.”- His question is cut off when Becca suddenly screams.
The men jump and spun to see Becca running away from the swing set.
“Daddy, daddy!”
Bucky easily swooped her up. “What’s wrong sweetheart?” He asks. "Did you fall?"
“There’s a big snake in the bushes.” She cried with tears.
“Did it hurt you?” Sam asks with worry, Becca shook her head sniffling.
“No.”
“Ok, come on.” Bucky turns. “Let’s get in the house.” He needs to get into his safe for his gun.
The two hurry into the house where they met up with Pietro, Wanda and Harry.
“What happened?” Pietro asks, watching Becca whimpered.
“There’s a snake outside.” Bucky answered turning slightly to look out the glass doors.
Harry swallowed thickly as he moved to the door and looked outside to see a large snake slithering from the bushes to the shed.
“Ok, until we can get that snake out of the yard.” Bucky starts. “Becca, Harry. Don’t go outside.”
Wanda gently rocked her daughter in the glider as they all sat in the living room.
“But I’m hungry.” Becca whimpered as she cuddled into her mother.
“I’ll buy the Casey’s pizzas.” Sam offered. “They do deliver.”
“Thank you Sam.” Wanda smiles at him.
“Sounds good to me.” Bucky nods.
“I’m definitely in for it!” Pietro grins.
Bucky and Sam stood in Bucky’s office, he pulled down a picture from the wall to reveal a safe. Working the dial and opening it he reached in to pull out a gun, then bullets.
“You don’t need those.”
Both men turn to see Harry standing in the doorframe.
“Did it leave?” Sam asks.
“No.” Harry shook his head. “But.”-
“Just stay in the house, Harry.” Bucky told him. “We got this.” He armed his gun.
But Harry wouldn’t budge. “I can help!”
“You can help by helping Wanda inside.” Bucky argued, and with that he and Sam walked out of the office.
Inside the shed, a large snake moved about. Going around the push mower and Bucky’s motorcycle. The side door opens and Bucky slowly walks in with Sam behind him.
“OK.” Bucky said clicking on the light switch. “Where is that thing?”
“Better question: How does a big snake come into a cookie cutter neighborhood inside a busy city?” Sam questions. “And glad it’s not a bat this time.”
“You and the bat thing.” Bucky said sarcastically carefully looked around, his sharp eyes scanning the shed.
“It happened!” Sam exclaimed. "Mmfft." He's suddenly muffled when Bucky clamped his flesh hand over his mouth.
"Shh!" Bucky shushed as he removed his hand and pointed towards a corner. "That thing's over there." He pulled his gun and cocked it. "Ready?"
Before Sam could register anything, Harry is suddenly there with his wand.
"Damn it, Harry, I told you to stay in the house!" Bucky yelled.
Harry kept his eyes on the snake as he talked to the animal, making both Bucky and Sam stare at him.
"He's talking to snakes?" Sam gapped, eyes wide. "Can the Serum really do that?"
"No." Bucky shook his head.
Harry turns to Bucky. "The snake is apologizing for scaring Becca."
"You speak to animals?" Bucky asks. "Then tell Alpine to give me my key to my bike."
"I can't talk to animals." Harry denies with a shake of his head.
Sam's eyebrows shot up. "That is an animal." He points at the snake."
"I can talk to only snakes." Harry replied, turning back to the snake to speak to it and both Bucky and Sam watch as the snake nods and coils into itself. "Ok." Harry turns to Bucky. "Wanda called Animal Control, the snake promises to stay in the shed until Animal Control comes."
Bucky put the safety back on his gun, giving his son a nod. "Young man, we need to talk."
Harry swallowed hard. "Yes sir."
"Parseltonge?” Dr. Strange questions as he stood in the middle of the Barnes' living room. "That, my boy, is some serious dark magic."
"I can speak Parseltonge because Voldemort can speak it." Harry began. "That night, when mom and James were killed. He tried to kill me too, but ended up transferring some of his powers into me."
Wanda straightened up in the chair. "What?" She asks.
"Not intentionally." Harry quickly added. "When Dumbledore told me that at the end of 2nd year, and that I posses the same qualities that Voldemort has."
"Whoa." Sam leaned back on the sofa as Strange hummed in thought.
"You've only known since you were 12?" Steve asks making Harry nod.
"Yeah. During my second year the school was threatened." Harry then explained what had happened throughout his second year.
"This is troubling." Strange said, he moves and activates a portal. "We need to act fast." With that he walked into the portal and it disappeared.
And it was quiet for a long moment in the living room.
"Soo." Harry turns to Bucky. "How much trouble am I in?" He asks.
Chapter Text
Harry sat on the ottoman. Bucky sat on the sofa, Steve next to him, Wanda, Sam, and Pietro sat on the other sofa.
“What the hell is taking so damn long?” Bucky growled irritated.
“Buck.”- Steve starts then trails off when a portal opened and Dr. Strange walked out.
“Damn time you decide to show up!” Bucky told him. “You can’t just.”-
“Wonderful to see you too, Barnes.” Strange said.
“My house, Doc. You’re late!” Bucky hissed out. “Didn’t Than.”-
“Buck!” Steve elbows him.
Sam rolled his eyes. “Always a warm greeting, Strange.”
“Please have a seat, Stephan.” Wanda gestured to the Lazy-Boy. “Now Harry.” She turns in his direction. “Please start.”
“And don’t sugarcoat anything.” Bucky added.
Harry took a deep breath. “My life changed, from a lousy poor orphan boy, to when I turned 11 and Hagrid came to my rescue.” He starts. “Hagrid took me to Diagon Alley and he gave me my first ever birthday present. Hedwig.”
“Your owl.” Bucky notes.
Harry nods. “Yes. She was my first friend.” Alpine leaps onto his lap and curls up as she purred loudly. “From there I learned my heritage, I learned how to fly on a broom and learned the wizard sport called Quidditch, then the name Nicolas Flamel.”
“I’ve heard of him.” Strange replied. “He was a great man and even a better Sorcerer. You met him Harry?”
Harry shook his head. “No, I never personally met him. His name just kept popping up throughout most of the year.”
“What happened to him?” Steve asks.
“Nicolas Flamel use to be immortal.” Strange began. “He was an alchemist, he created the legendary Sorcerer’s Stone.”
“Voldemort wanted it.” Harry said.
“Of course he did." Strange mutters. "He as in Flamel, is dead now. Right?"
"Oh yeah, he died soon after the Stone was destroyed." Harry said.
Strange leaned forward with his elbows on his knees with his fingers laced. "Harry, that stone was well hidden inside that school, how did you find it? Let alone touch it."
"The mirror of erised. One moment it was in the mirror and the next it was in my pocket." Harry explained. "After I woke up in the hospital wing, Dumbledore told me that if someone who wanted to find the Stone, find it but not use it is able to retrieve it."
"Huh." Strange replied. "I will say this about the old geyser, he's pretty damn smart when it comes to magic."
"What about your second year?" Sam asks.
"Everyone turned on me." Harry answered. "But it all started when Dobby appeared in my bedroom, warning me to not return to the school. When I refused the second time, Dobby closed the gate from letting me and Ron through."
"You missed the train." Strange said with a nod. "Which leaves exactly at 11'oclock sharp. So who's bright idea was it to take that flying car?"
Harry sighed as he leaned back. "That was Ron's, I did have to remind him to turn on the cloaking." He took a deep shuttering breath. "The school got attacked."
"Attacked?" Wanda asks. "By what?"
"A monster that was born inside the castle." Harry answered. "And to get to the truth, rules had to be broken." He shifted uncomfortably in the chair. "I broke a dozen school rules."
The Avengers looked at each other. "We know what that feels like." Steve said. "You're not a true hero until you've broken at least that many."
Bucky smirks as he throws his arm around the blonde's shoulders. "That's my boy!"
Steve rolls his eyes. "I was talking about the Accords."
Bucky simply shoved him away and stood. "I need a beer." He stalked towards the kitchen.
"I thought we agreed that I was the one who."-
"Wanda, for the last time it was not about you." Steve told her. "It was all about politics and control."
Wanda opens her mouth, but Pietro spoke to her in their native language, making her nod and looking away.
Bucky returns from the kitchen. "Ok." He plops back down next to Steve. "Where were we?" He asks.
"The Chamber Of Secrets." Harry answered. "After Draco Malfoy brought out a snake while he and I were dueling, that was when I learned that I could speak with snakes. And soon everyone thought I was the heir of Slytherin."
"Say what again?" Sam asks.
"Professor McGonagall says that according to the legend, before he left the school. Salazar Slytherin placed a monster inside the chamber." Harry began. "And Hagrid's pet, Aragog - an Acromantula. The monster inside the castle is a basilisk, that's why I was the only one who could hear it. It was going through the school, picking certain students as its prey. And sadly Hermione was one of its prey."
"It's not easy being the hero." Steve said gently, making Harry snort.
"I found that out fast and hard."
"What happened to the victims?" Pietro asked.
"You're suppose to be dead when you look the beast in the eyes. But no one really did die." Harry explains. "Eye contact kills. But no one looked directly at the beast. Mrs. Norris - the castle's caretaker's cat got petrification when she was lapping up water on the floor, Collen got it from his camera, he was obsessed with taking pictures, and Hermione got it cause she was carrying a small handheld mirror." Harry explained. "After Ron's sister was taken inside the chamber, that's when Ron and I knew we had to act fast."
Harry then finished telling what happened during his second year.
It's now hours later.
The kitchen smelled of brownies while Wanda hummed as she stood in front of the sink and the dishwasher door is open as both trays are out. Harry walked into the kitchen, followed by Pietro.
“Those smell good.” Pietro followed his nose to the brownies as they cooled off on the counter. Wanda smacked his hand away.
“Do not touch those Pietro!” She turns to face him.
“Not even one?” He asks while pouting.
“You polished off the last batch I made." Wanda reminded. "Then you blamed it on Alpine.”
Harry turned to see Alpine sitting in front of her food and licking her left paw.
“Come Harry.” Wanda said, picking up the batch of brownies and turning to the teen. "I want you to come with me."
He nods. "Sure."
They leave the kitchen, leaving Pietro to sulk.
"Fine, I'll just bother James instead." With that the speeder walked out of the kitchen.
"I want you to meet a neighbor Harry." Wanda is saying as she and Harry walked down the sidewalk. "She's been in the hospital, poor thing broke her hip. Her granddaughter is your age too." She linked her arm through his. "I want you to have lots of friends Harry."
Harry had to smile. "Thanks."
"I know what everyone says about step parents." Wanda replied. "I hope I can raise Becca to the best I can be. And I know I hope I'm not a evil step mother to you Harry."
He smiles. "You're great!"
Wanda smiles before leading him up to a house. The two approach the front door and Harry presses the doorbell.
At the police station, Petunia Dursley sat in an interrogation room. "I really want to speak with my nephew." She told the cop who sat across the table in front of her. "Please."

Next chapter should be longer!
Chapter Text
“Harry this will hurt.” Strange is saying as he, Wong, Steve, Wanda, Bucky, and Sam walk towards a chamber.
Harry raised an eyebrow. “I’ve been through a lot of trauma during my years at Hogwarts. What’s one more trauma going to do?”
“I’m going to regret asking, but what’s with the headphones?” Bucky asks holding up a pair of headphones.
“You are going to need them.” Wong said as he approached, giving one to Steve, Wanda and Sam.
“Harry, please take off your glasses.” Strange ordered.
“Just so you know, everything for me is blurry to me right now.” Says Harry taking off his glasses and giving them to Sam.
“It’s only temporary.” Wong said gently as he guided Harry to the middle of the glowing circle.
“What happens now?” Harry asks as a blurry Strange approached to stand in front of him.
“You might have to lay down.” Strange instructed. “A Horcrux has been placed aside of you that night.”
“A what?” Steve asks.
“No time for that right now.” Strange said as he turns. “Are we ready?” He asks.
Wong moved to stand in front of the Avengers pulling up his shield arms. “Yes.” He gives a nod.
Strange began to start as he his hands glow, creating the spell. The circle Harry laid on began to change from red to white.
Harry winced as his scar began to hurt and bleed, he then started screaming. Bucky tried to go to him but is grabbed by Steve and Sam while Wanda pressed her hands over her headphones closing her eyes tightly as Dobby hugged her leg, his face hiding behind her leg
Strange reached and pulled as the soul piece fought against him.
The struggle was hard.
Harry continued to scream in pain..
Bucky tried to break free of Steve and Sam.
Strange ignored the screams and with a final pull, the leech was ripped away. Harry instantly fainted.
Acting fast Wong hit the shrieking object with spells where it exploded on impact where it burst into six flames.
“What the hell are those?” Sam asks.
“Voldermort’s soul.” Wong answered. “He split his soul into five objects.”
“He split his soul?” Steve asked in a breath. “Why?”
Bucky took a glance at the blonde. “Do you have to question it Steve?”
Strange moved his attention to Harry and waved his arm. A soft golden light slowly rained down on Harry, blanketing him.
The instant Wong removed his shield, Bucky darted to his son falling to his knees next to him.
“Is he alright?” Wanda asks as Dobby peered around her leg.
“He’ll be just fine now.” Strange answered with a nod. “No more talking to snakes, or other evil side effects. His scar is just a scar now.”
Bucky whipped the blood from Harry’s forehead.
“Once he wakes, he’ll have a world class headache.” Strange added.

Tony sat on the porch of the country room, leaning back in his chair with an unreadable look on his face. The door opens behind him to reveal Morgan walking out.
“It took time, but I found what you were asking.” She said as she sat down next to her father. “Happy wasn’t … happy that I was snooping.”
Tony blinked a few times and snickered. “Of course.” He turns to her. “So, what did ya dig up?” He asks.
“Harry’s uncle is a director of Grunnings.”
Her father made a face. “What?”
“It’s a business that sells drills.”
Tony nods. “Anything else?”
“His wife Petunia is a housewife.” Morgan shrugs. “That’s all that I could really find.”
“It’s good.” Tony nods. “You did good.” He holds out a small bag of blue berries. “Here you go, you get the whole bag.”
Morgan looks at the bag. “You haven’t even thought about my summer break with my friends, have you?” She asks while folding her arms.
“Ask me in three more weeks.”
“That’s when the trip starts!”
“Then company me to London.”
XxXxXxXxXx
“We are going to have two angry Super Soldiers against us.” Says Sam as he Wanda, and Harry walk into the Brooklyn precent.
“It was why idea.” Harry reminded. “I have so much to confront them about.”
“And I agreed.” Wanda added. “So ahead and tell.”
Bucky giving Sam the stare makes him shutter. “You’re gonna get me into trouble over this.” He whines to Wanda, but he follows her and Harry down a hallway.
XxXxXxXx
Petunia Dursley sat at the table inside the interrogation room. Finally the door opened and she watched as a red headed woman walked into the room.
“We can only give you a short amount of time, Mrs. Barnes.” The Officer is saying as Wanda and Harry came into the room.
“A short amount of time is all we need.” Wanda says with a nod. “Thank you.” She looks at Petunia, who wouldn’t look at her. “Is there a problem, Dursley?” She questions.
Petunia shook her head. “No. It’s just my sister was a red head.”
“I see.” Wanda pulls out a chair. “Harry, I’ll be asking your aunt questions so please don’t interrupt. Then when I’m finished you can have your turn.”
Harry nods. “Yes ma’am.”
"I promise I won't your aunt Harry." Wanda said as she leans back in her chair and folds her arms.
"Thank you." Harry nods. "But not too much."
"Tell me something Dursley." Wanda eyes the aunt. "Do you love your family?"
"Yes. I do."
"Every member?" Wanda questions. "Are you family oriented? Loving husband Beautiful home?"
Petunia nods. "Yes." She answers with a whisper.
"I too am a housewife." Wanda nods. "I love my husband, he is the sweetest and most loving man. I love the family I've built. And I love every member." She turns to look at Harry. "Step or not." She turns back to Petunia. "He is my husband's son, your nephew!" Her voice grew and Petunia shrank in her chair. "Mother to mother. You would do anything to protect your child, yes?"
Petunia nods. "Yes." She again whispers.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" Wanda questions. "Your family has been dying to talk to me. Now is your chance."
Petunia stuttered, she thought this was gonna be easy, but obviously that's not the case as this red head is very intimating. She swallowed thickly.
"What is the matter?" Wanda asks calmly. "Do you not know how to talk to me without your bully husband?"
"I can speak for myself!" Petunia snapped.
"Then talk to me." Wanda demanded. "Otherwise you are waisting my time."
Petunia tried to speak, but she found that she couldn't.
Wanda turns to Harry. "Harry, you like to say what you want to say before we leave?" She asks him.
Harry took a deep breath, he eyed his aunt. "From the very beginning you never wanted me, I always knew something was different about me. You purposely left me out of everything, you made me feel like I couldn't do anything. And I was hating myself in the process."
Petunia looked at him. "We never wanted you!"
"You didn't have to keep me!" Harry shouted. "Locked up for a week or two because something's not right, locked up when company was over? You've called me 'A waste of space', 'ungrateful', 'nobody', 'boy'." Harry listed. "And my personal favorite 'freak'. Dudley got everything, literally presents that reached the ceiling. And all you do is give me dirty socks, or cloths with holes, or Dudley's broken toys. You forced me to do every single chore, and every single thing outside like the gardens."
Petunia glares at him. "What do you want me to say?"
"You could've told me the truth about where I came from!" Harry shouts.
XxXxXx
The lights throughout the precent flickered and the windows shimmered. Sam and Bucky who were in the middle of arguing, stopped and looked around like everyone else.
XxXxXxXx
"Harry." Wanda calmly places a hand on his arm, her accent calm.
He looks at her, then turns to see her calm. He closes his eyes as he tried to calm down.
"You, Petunia Dursley." Wanda starts as she stands. "You better prepare yourself."
"Are you threatening me!?" Petunia demanded.
"Threat is such a strong word." Wanda said calmly. "But if it comes down to it." She turns to Harry. "Let's go home Harry."
He quickly nods and without a glance at his aunt, he moved to the door. Opening it he saw an Officer standing there by the one-way-glass. "I don't care what you decide to do to her. I'll gladly and personally melt the key if you decide to lock her up.
Wanda wrapped her arm around his shoulder. "Time to go home." She said gently, guiding him away from the room.
