Work Text:

Charles "Trip" Tucker III and T'Pol never imagined that the loss of their cloned daughter Elizabeth would lead to a lasting bond and eventual marriage. However, after Doctor Phlox informed them that human and Vulcan DNA were compatible, they reflected on their feelings and realized they could not live without each other. They also hoped to have more children together.

Now, with six children, Trip and T'Pol find themselves snowed in during a holiday break from their duties on the Enterprise. The cabin located near the Sierra Nevada mountains proved to be cozy yet somewhat small for the eight of them.

The situation was especially true when the older five children argued about who had which PADD, while the youngest, just three months old, suckled at T'Pol's left breast.

Trip had just finished calming down the five older children, who were finally sitting quietly, engrossed in their PADDs. T'Pol hummed softly in contentment, appreciating the silence.

"Peace at last, darling," Trip murmured lovingly as he glanced at his wife.

T'Pol paused her humming and looked at Trip. "I am thankful, my husband. The children were restless, and their vocalizations were increasing in intensity."

"In other words, 'driving you up the wall,'" he teased.

"Yes," T'Pol responded with a slight smile.

After T'Pol burped the baby and covered her breast, the little one began to yawn.

Trip couldn't help but admire his wife's trim figure as she rose with the baby and gently placed her in the crib, which was situated a short distance away from their bed.

T'Pol returned with a blanket wrapped around her body.

"Feeling cold, darling?"

"A little bit, Trip," T'Pol admitted. "However, I will feel warmer with you beside me." She opened the blanket after sitting on a nearby couch.

Before Trip joined T'Pol, he placed another log inside the fireplace in front of the couch. "Better?"

"Better," T'Pol agreed before resuming her humming.

Minutes later, Trip looked at the children who had fallen asleep, woke them, and tucked them into their beds inside a second bedroom. He closed the door and returned with a wide smile. "Now we have our one-on-one time."

The pair began kissing, first the Vulcan way and then the human way, when T'Pol placed her right hand on Trip's chest. "Bed," she ordered.

Trip was eager to comply. "Yes, darling. You know, we could try for number seven."

T'Pol eyed her husband with mild exasperation and plenty of love. "Six is plenty, my husband."

Trip let out a bark of laughter. "Of course."
