"Alright, everyone. I'm initiating security protocol 49.09," James T. Kirk said firmly, barely disguising the dismay in his voice.
Everyone, including his first officer and husband, Spock, stared at their captain in confusion.
"49.09?" Several officers echoed the question.
Spock remarked, "I am not familiar with 49.09, Captain."
The other bridge officers nodded in agreement.
"Yes, 49.09—the 'Get these goddamn Tribbles out of my ship' protocol," Kirk clarified.
"Oh!"
