WAKE ME UP
WAKE ME UP INSIDE
CALL MY NAME AND-
Rev woke up this morning to the alarm on his phone blaring in his ears. “Arggh!” He screamed into his pillow and sat up on his bed. He had a feeling that something big was going to happen later. But that's a problem for his future self and something he could ignore right now!
He first turned off his alarm clock and got up from his bed then stretched his arms, looking around to see that his friend and roommate, Mark, still hadn't woken up. The other snored lightly in his coffin, wearing a sleep mask with drool on his face while hugging a white teddy bear. Geez, the man still sleeps with a teddy? What is he, five?
Rev took his sweet time in the bathroom, considering that class wouldn't start until 9:00 am and it was currently 7:00 am. He then took off his clothes which consisted of a black t-shirt and shorts and put them in the pile of laundry in the hamper in the corner.
He stepped into the shower and pulled the shower curtain to cover him while he was showering. He didn't want anyone seeing him naked, he was a dignified guy who cared about people not seeing his junk. After adjusting the shower to a nice warm temperature, he turned it on and enjoyed the feeling of the water cascading onto his body.
Starting the first part of his daily shower routine, he turned the shower off for a moment and grabbed the shampoo then started mixing it in his hands, lathering it into his hair nicely and mixing it into his hair thoroughly. After that, he put the shampoo bottle back on the shelf next to the shower.
Then he turned the shower back on, the water washing off the shampoo in his hair with the help of his hands making sure he washed it off properly. Onto the second part of his daily shower routine, he grabbed the soap on the shelf and put it under water to help soften it a bit then he turned the shower off once again.
He first rubbed the soap in his hands then onto his body, starting on his face then moving onto his neck, shoulders, armpits, arms. Slowly moving onto his torso after he was done with the previous areas, then his stomach and back. Then he quickly scrubbed down to his legs and feet, he made sure he scrubbed the soap on his skin thoroughly and didn't miss any spots on his body.
After he was done lathering soap on his body, he put the soap back and turned the shower back on again. Making sure to also scrub himself while the water was busy washing the soap suds off of his face and body.
Soon after the soap suds were cleaned off, he turned the shower off and pushed the shower curtain to the side and stepped out of the shower, his hair dripping water onto his chest. He grabbed the long black towel that was hanging off on the side and wrapped it around himself and grabbed a small white towel meant for his hair and put it on his head, drying his body and hair in the process. Then he opened the bathroom door and walked through the room to get to his closet so he could put on his clothes for school.
He opened his closet with a creak and took out the school uniform and his underwear, closing the closet door and taking off his towel. He put on a white dress shirt and a red vest, he saw the dark red tie near the school blazer and was confused on how to tie it. How do you even tie a tie? He'd never had to wear a uniform like this so how would he know?!, he thought as he debated in his head on how he would figure this predicament.
“Ugh! I freaking hate this school!” He shouted, cursed under his breath and walked over to their shared desk where he and Mark studied and grabbed his cellphone, unlocking it and searching for a tutorial on how to tie a tie on youtube.
After watching a short video, he decided to try it out for himself. It was only after 6 attempts that he successfully tied his tie and got to put on the school blazer that was black with red accents. It had the school emblem embroidered under the breast pocket and silver buttons. After adjusting his uniform and fixing his hair, he put on his piercings and thought to himself on how he would wake Mark up.
He walked over to Mark's coffin and saw him still sleeping, Rev put an arm on his shoulder and shook him awake. “Hey! Wake up already!” He shouted in the other man's face, resulting in Mark getting startled awake. Finally, he thought to himself after taking his hand off of Mark's shoulder.
“H-huh?! What time is it?” Mark panicked, sitting up from his coffin and turned his head to look around the room. He took off his sleep mask and put it down in his coffin. Rev tapped on his phone and his lockscreen lit up, displaying the time to be 7:44 am. “It's 7:44, you still have time to get ready so get to it!” He said, looking at Mark's face as it changed from panicked to relieved.
“Ah, I see.. What a relief! I thought I had overslept or something, I'm glad that didn't happen!” He said with a smile. “Oh, by the way, good morning, Rev!” The vampire added enthusiastically. “Yeah, yeah. Good morning or whatever! Go shower, you still have saliva on your cheek!” Rev complained, wanting Mark to hurry it up so he could get some early breakfast without anyone around.
“Alrighty! Just wait for me, BFF!” He said, “I wanna eat breakfast together!” Mark responded, getting up from his coffin and walking towards the bathroom to get ready for the day. “What?! There is in no way that we're going to eat and sit together!” Rev shouted, clearly not wanting to sit next to Mark again. “And since when were we ‘BFF's’ huh?!” He added but his words fell on deaf ears as Mark had already entered the bathroom, leaving him alone inside of the room.
