Chapter Text
You were finally out of your work. Just a few more steps to finally come back to your nice cozy basement.
You were walking down the street with your phone in your hand. Then you suddently took a stop because-
"I'VE GOT A MORI CARD AGAIN?! NOOOO STUPID RIGGED SCOUT! GO AWAY MORI! WHY CAN'T I JUST GET (your favorite character)!"
You went on a rant about how RIGGED scout was in that game and how you should sell all of these Moris cards a long time ago for taking place in the storage.
In the heat of passionate hating you didn't notice that you were standing in the middle of The street.
Or good old Truck-kun.
Oh well.
I guess that's why they say you shouldn't stare into your phone while crossing the road.
_
You woke up.
Huh? You were home already? You didn't remember getting here. Did you had some wierd blackout or something?
And then you remembered The Truck-kun. And Mori card.
"I died because of bsd mayoi!?"
You quickly looked around. You didn't seemed dead. And The place you were in didn't seem like a hospital either.
You were in some unfamilliar home.
Not good.
You quickly stood up and proceed to sneak in case someone was here to ambush you.
The first thing you noticed was that your body felt... different? You didn't know how to describe that but something was off.
And then you noticed The mirror. And your appreance.
"KYAAAAAAAAAAA!"
In the mirror you saw forbidden face. Not your gorgeous usual face you saw everyday of course. Atleast till this day. You saw the Mori Ougai face. You got to experience the fanficion trope, something you wouldn't ever have expected in your life.
In a speed of a light you inspected your entire face.
It was you for sure but the mirror wasn't lying.
"M-m-mori...?"
The one. The Mori Ougai one. The bungou stray dogs port mafia boss one.

AHHHHHH!
Your new neighbours already had vendetta against you.
_
When you finally calmed down an hour have passed, or even more who knows. You didn't care about that.
What you cared about was the fact you were stuck in a bsd world.
You were curled on your carpet thinking. You were basically forced to accept that your previous life was gone.
Even tho you didn't remember most of it already.
It seems transmigration erased most of your memories. You remembered your name and certain events but not everything.
Terrifying but atleast you weren't going to miss anyone as much.
"Not cool truck-kun."
You stood up. You had to make a plan.
You also had to write everything you know down. With time passing by you wouldn't be able to just rely on your memory.
You rummaraged through Mori's house and found some corkboard.
Thankfully the plot hasn't started yet. Atleast there wasn't any red scarf laying around yet.
On The corkboard you pinned your papers with The bsd timeline drawn on it:
*Yosano backstory, Great war ends, Mori becomes an underground doctor
*Untold origins, Fukuzawa meets Natsume, Mori and Fukuzawa meet, ADA is founded
*Mori and Fukuzawa fight, Yosano joins ADA
*Dazai meets Mori, Mori becomes a PM Boss
*Fifteen arc, Dazai and Chuuya meet, Chuuya joins PM
*Stormbringer, Dragon head's conflict, Akutagawa is recruited to PM
*Dark era arc, Odasaku dies, Dazai leaves PM, PM gets skilled buisness permit
*Atsushi is kicked out of The orphanage and joins ADA
You sighned it was way more exhausting then it should be.
Dead Apple, Guild, Hunting dogs, Fyodor...
Well you were screwed.
You obviously weren't suited for being mafia boss. They didn't teach how to be competent for that exact career at school.
You weren't sure how that will affect the events.
'Let's hope Hirotsu would fill up a role of a leader. If I mess something up.'
After all the plot will catch up to you one way or another.
It always does. Atleast in fanfics you read on the internet.
But you won't panic in this situation! You read about this all of the time you're fine!
To avoid overthinking you decided to look for some documents.
In his or your now desk you found the ID.
It seems Mori had ID with a name Rintarō written on it.
Rintarō Mori
To not get more confused then you already were, you simply settled on calling yourself Rintarō "officially" at your work. You would call yourself Ougai later in case that was needed.
You checked the date on your phone to compared it with the date of birth at The ID.
You were 25 now. Atleast in this world.
...Not ideal.
_
You started to accomodate to your new life after a while.
It took time sure after your previous life was erased just like that and you became an anime man but hey atleast you are still standing here and you're not a corpse.
The hardest part was to get used to your new name. The amount of times you almost introduced yourself as Y/n was astonishing. The fact your patients still trust you is a miracle.
Ah yes your new work. Thankfully it paid bills just fine. Even if some patients were a hassle.
Thankfully all of his medical knowledge and experience was in your possesion now.
Eitherway nothing could destroy your mood now.
Today was your birthday! Or Mori birthday? You celebrate now both your previous and Mori birthday date because you simply can.
You decided to get yourself a gift and stop at the candystore.
Oh! (your favorite sweets)!
You quickly snatched a bag and started packing sweets pushing away some lady who gave you a karen look.
She didn't have a chance to call The manager tho because you were simply too fast. You 1:0 Random lady
You made your way to the cash register.
And then you almost dropped your entire bag seeing who was working there.
"This will be 300¥." She said calmly waiting for you to pay.
You would do this instantly if you didn't realise that a girl in front of you was non other then Yosano.
The 11 years old Yosano. A true breathing anime character came to life.
Who even let 11 years old working!? Well they let 11 year old herself heal solidiers just like that but still-
She started to give you a weird look. You Been staring at her for some time. Obviously you didn't want to seem like a creep staring at "stranger" for you child.
You quickly got your composure back.
"Excuse me... aren't you too young to work as a chashier?" You asked.
"Yes, yes I am." she replied instantly.
You must have made a really surpirsed expression because she chuckled.
"I'm simply assiting my caretaker since she's already quite too old to do this all by herself.... don't tell her I said that."
'A caretaker. So the parents are already out of the picture.'
"Ah I understand. That's really nice of you to help her." You gave her a small smile and paid for your sweets.
She smiled back at you but then turned her sight down on the sweets with a slightly sad look in her eyes.
You noticed how she looked at all of these sweets with longing. This job seemed like a dream to many kids but when you learn you aren't actually allowed to eat any of these sweets it's seriously dissapointing.
Not to mention she was only eleven years old kid and she had to already work rather then spend her time playing.
"One last thing before I leave."
You turned upside your wallet filling an entire tip jar with money and put a chunk of your candies in it too.
"Huh!?" Yosano seemed to not believe what just happened infront of her eyes
"Good always comes back one way or another. Have a nice day." You said as you quickly turned around and rushed to leave the shop before she could say anything.
"I-. Thank you sir!" She yelled after you when after you left.
'How kind of this man.' She thought happily unwrapping the candy.
_
"You're fired Mori."
That was a first thing you heard after turning 26 and coming back to work.
"W-what? Why?" You stuttered. How come you get fired? You were perfect at your job! You thought you were liked by your patients and coworkers.
"I'm sorry Mori but I have to do this. Remember your last shift?"
Ah so it was about that. An elderly lady was in need of brain operation. Neurosurgeon wasn't avialable at the time because some rich dude has tried to push in her place. So you did The right thing.
You forcefully dragged said neurosurgeon to operate on the lady.
It seems someone didn't like your decision...
"I was doing the right thing! How come you fire me over such thing!"
The man rubbed his eyes.
"I normally wouldn't but that guy had connections Mori. To put it short if you keep working here the hospital can only dream of getting any dotations. You have to understand. You are still young. You will find yourself a job in different place out there."
And just like that these were the last words you heard of him. You were now standing outside wondering what to do now. You are now jobless, with reputation of being a crazy doctor and it didn't seem like any other hospital or aby other institution in Yokohama would hire you if what he was saying was true.
"Just great." You were so lost in your thoughts that you almost didn't notice a man heading towards you.
You looked up and your jaw nearly dropped.
There he was. A man with moustache, wearing a coat and of course with his walking stick. His eyes were mesmerising. Like they were staring into your soul, by one look you could tell that he's a cunning man.
You weren't stupid you obviously heard theories about him. He's an observer. A mystery of bungou stray dogs.
He bowed down a little to greet you as he began to speak.
"Welcome. I'm Sōseki Natsume. I heard about your situation and how you got into it. May I know your name?" He asked as if he already didn't know that.
It's your chance. You saw Yosano before and now him. They are living, breathing people here and you are capable of changing their fates.
"Rintaro Mori."
Natsume grinned.
"I have a deal for you. A deal that will help you and not only you. Would you like to hear?"
"...I'm listening."
