Another way

Summary:

Rumi has been taught to hate demons her whole life. However, as we saw in the movie, maybe not all of them are pure evil. Maybe she can learn another way to see things.

Uzi and co find out that maybe their final battle with Cyn isn't the last they'll have to deal with. Who knew that code can create portals to other dimensions?

Or, Rumi learns from Uzi, N, and V that sometimes, teamwork, even with a possible enemy, can truly make the dream work

I wanted to make a crossover between these two fandoms. I have no idea what I'm doing. Like, seriously. Comment ideas about how I should go about this fic. I give shoutouts to people who give me ideas if I use said ideas in chapters, and I also give shoutouts to anyone who can spot any typo or mistake in what I write!

*I edited the summary

Notes:

I have no clue what I'm doing. You probably gathered that from my tags, but I seriously have no clue where I want to go with this. All I know is I want these two fandoms to meet somehow.

Oh, btw, I will never write a swear, not even a mild one. I don't swear. I will use substitutes, like darn, dang, heck, shoot, and the like. I'm writing this now because these substitutes may cause confusion, and I'd like to clear it up.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Rumi came back from her meeting with Jinu, her thoughts scrambled from the possibility that maybe not all demons are bad.

But what if he was lying? What if this was all an elaborate ruse to get close to Rumi, just to make it easier to stab her in the back later? What should she do?

Celine's voice echoed in her mind. "All demons, anything and everything with patterns, is a threat to the world. They may seem like us at times, but they are NOT US. They are here for one thing, and one thing only: to consume the souls of the innocent. You must never hesitate, even for a moment. You must act. You must hunt them down. "

Rumi steeled her resolve. Celine raised her, gave her a way to be rid of her darning patterns. The least she could do in return is listen to her advice and instruction.

_____________

Uzi was content. She couldn't believe that it had already been a year since she started officially dating N. Her cinnamon roll of a boyfriend was always there for her, through thick and thin, from the time they first teamed up against his fellow murder drones, to when she found out that she had a program that made her need to kill and consume fellow workers for oil, just like a disassembly drone, to when Cyn used her body as a vessel...

"I still can't. Believe that Big. Brother N is dating y-you."

Speaking of the devil, "Cyn, you'd better shut up or I swear I'll duct-tape your mouth shut!" It was also hard to believe that it had been a year since Cyn took permanent residence in her tail. This meant that Cyn was present for all of Uzi's alone time (if it could even be called that, with Cyn around) with her disassembly drone boyfriend.

"Tee-hee. You are so easy to. Annoy."

Uzi wished that she could use the solver directly on herself, or on Cyn, to crush her annoying appendage. (Too bad the empathy programming in the absolute solver program prevented her from directly using the solver on any solver host, including herself and Cyn.)

Well, at least she could use it indirectly. She used her solver to pick up one of N's "frickin ninja stars" that he gifted her for their one month anniversary and used it to chop off her tail. This was not a permanent solution, but it would at least give her a few minutes of peace before her regeneration inevitably kicked in.

She used those minutes to get ready for a date with N.
