Chapter Text
It was time for the fall banquet. Andrew was filling his bag with his clothes for the banquet while also keeping both Jean and Kevin from getting drunk before they had to get on the bus. Kevin was having his usual breakdown whenever Riko was involved. Jean on the other hand was just crimping in himself and trying to get drunk so he wouldn’t have to go, but then again he wanted to see Nathaniel so he listened when Andrew told him no.
Andrew took the 5th bottle of vodka from Kevin “Day, get dressed, you can sulk on the bus since the banquet is at the nest.” Andrew pushed Kevin out of the bean bag he was laying on.
Kevin groaned as he fell on the floor. Jean hid his small smirk as his brother went to the bathroom cursing under his breath. Aaron walked out of the bedroom at the same moment, he looked even worse than he did in the last months.
Aaron looked pathetic, still wearing his Pjs and looking like he wasn’t planning on leaving this dorm for the next year. “I’m not going to the banquet.” Aaron stated firmly, he still wasn’t over how Katelyn, or apparently Nathalie, had lied to him about her whole identity. Him and Katelyn haven’t talked since Aaron found out she was Nathaniel Wesninski’s twin sister a few months ago and it just made him more miserable.
Meanwhile Andrew had become closer again with Nathalie, the cheerleaders found it weird and thought she had left Aaron for his brother. Katelyn had also been miserable but talking with Drew helped her smile again. They talked about the past, talked how each other’s lives went after they split, and about Nathaniel too of course.
“You’re going, I’m not leaving you here alone.” Andrew told his twin. There was no room for arguing.
Aaron opened his mouth to argue but instead just went to the bathroom, mumbling to himself, he walked in the bathroom.
Jean and Andrew watched as Aaron closed the door. “Didn’t Kev just go in?” Jean glanced at Andrew. “Yep.” Was all answer Jean got and not even 5 seconds later there was a thud, yep Aaron had definitely walked into Kevin showering. But the strange thing was, nobody came out the bathroom.
Jean looked at Andrew “Are they…?” A moan came from the bathroom, definitely Kevin. Andrew stared at the door. “If Kevin breaks his heart, I will kill him.” He told Jean before walking away. He was glad Aaron had someone to distract him but he still didn’t want to show anyone his real feelings.
Andrew walked to his bedroom and locked the door; He took a deep breath and got dressed, for some reason his heart was racing, and he hated it. He looked at himself in the mirror “Abram… I’m coming…”

The foxes stood by the bus, waiting on Nicky and his date. The upperclassman stood on one side while the “monsters” leaned against the bus. Dan an Allison were glaring holes into Andrew.
why, you ask. Well because he rejected Renee to be his date, and Renee had to ask someone else instead. And even if they didn’t want Andrew and Renee to spend any time together they were still mad he didn’t agree to be her date, worse even, he had brought Katelyn along as his date.
“Can’t we just go already? Who cares the faggot isn’t here? We can just leave him behind” Seth’s voice came out loud and continued to talk shit. Andrew was about to go and put a knife in the guys throat when he felt a hand stop him, the hand didn’t touch him, it just hovered over his shoulder. Katelyn was glaring at Seth, but it was Jean who was stopping Andrew from doing what he wanted.
The one step Andrew had taken was enough to trigger Allison and she began to yell at him.
Aaron spoke up “Say that again asshole.” Everyone was shocked that Aaron was the one speaking up, because he had been calling Nicky and Jean faggots all the time. Katelyn suppressed a small smile, she was happy to see Aaron again but she knew that she and him were over. Andrew had been giving her updates on how he was but Aaron had also been avoiding Andrew when possible.
Just then Nicky arrived with his date, the guy was cute, he worked as a barista on campus. “Sorry for the wait guys.” Nicky grinned, but it faltered when he saw everyone almost at each other’s throats. Then he noticed Katelyn amongst the crowd. “Katelyn!!! Did Aaron and you get back together? Oh thank god, he was so miserable. I’m so glad you two worked out your issues.” Nicky tried to diffuse the tension with that, having no idea that he just lit the match for a fuckin bomb.
Aaron scoffed and stormed into the bus while Allison laughed. Katelyn looked down at the ground and Nicky suddenly saw Rennee had a date with her, and it wasn’t Andrew. “Oh my god, Andrew, did you-” Nicky gets cut off when Andrew punches Allison hard to make her shut up, she fell to the ground. That made Seth react and start towards Andrew and it took Dan, Matt and Rennee to hold him back from attacking Andrew.

On the bus Aaron didn’t sit where he usually sat, instead he sat in the middle between the upperclassmen and his family, part of neither groups. Kevin and Jean sat next to each other as usual, and instead of Aaron in front of them it was Nicky and his date. Fully in the back sat Andrew and Katelyn. Katelyn had stopped dying her hair blond and her roots stared to show her natural hair color. Andrew and Katelyn sat on opposite sides, nowhere near touching, but the were talking about stuff, mostly about Abram.
In front Allison was putting makeup on so the bruise Andrew gave her wasn’t visible, coach was yelling at everyone for the fight earlier, and giving his usual speech, telling everyone to behave, of course nobody was listening. Rennee and Nicky’s dates were looking a bit scared and shaken with everything, but Nicky and Rennee both tried their bests to calm/ distract them both.
Aaron kept glancing back at Andrew and Katelyn, jealousy radiating off him. He knew he was a hypocrite, because just 4 hours ago he had shower sex with Kevin, but that didn’t count, there were no feelings there, he’d also told Kevin this was a one time thing. Aaron’s eyes caught someone staring, it was Kevin, Kevin looked like he was debating something in his head. Aaron quickly looked back in front of him, nope, he was not doing this, he wasn’t gay.

The bus arrived at the ravens nest, everyone was tense, even the 2 dates that didn’t know who Riko and his family were, the air felt heavy, Kevin and Jean shrunk in their seats. Katelyn and Andrew both looked at each other and immediately started walking out the bus, everyone followed them most of which reluctantly, but there were 2 enthusiastic, Seth of course because he wanted to beat some Ravens up, even though Wymack had specifically told everyone to not hit anyone, and Allison of course for the drama that was about to unfold, they all stood at the entrance. A figure came outside to greet the foxes…
