The door slammed open.

Work Text:

Itadori Yuuji is what you’d call a "casual Genshin player" — if by casual, you meant deeply emotionally invested and one banner away from a breakdown.

“SHIT!” Yuuji shouted at full volume, rattling his desk.

The door slammed open.

“YUUJI?!” Gojo Satoru appeared, wide-eyed and alert like he expected an actual explosion. “What happened—"

“WHAT IF I LOSE THE 50/50?!” Yuuji wailed.

Gojo blinked.

“...Huh?”

He stepped further in, brows furrowed. “Why are you shouting?”

Yuuji turned slowly, as if just realizing someone else was in the room. “Sensei? When did you get here?”

Seriously? What got him so anxious to the point he didn't notice my presence?  Satoru thought before seeing the laptop behind Yuuji.

It was a game.

Specifically an anime game.

Of course.

The pink-haired boy caught his gaze and sheepishly pushed some keys. "Ahaha... yeah. I’ve been playing this lately,” he said, making his character awkwardly dash into a tree.

"So... you screamed because of a video game?" Satoru slowly asked.

Yuuji flashed a grin, "Yep!"

Then a pause.

"Wait... I was screaming?" Yuuji blinked, suddenly self-conscious.

Gojo sighed, massaging his temples tiredly. "Yes, you cursed out loud at that. You don't remember?"

The younger man gaped at him, "Huuuh? Was it that loud?"

He wanted to kiss the stupid out of him for being so adorable, but restrained himself. Barely.

Yuuji holds his own chin to ponder, "I guess so..." he answers himself before clasping his hands apologetically, "Sorry, sensei... I didn't know I was being loud!"

Satoru brushes off his plea with a chuckle, "I thought my precious student got caught in something dangerous," he sobs as he wipes his tears fakely, "You shouldn't worry your teacher like that, Yuuji~"

Yuuji rubs the back of his neck awkwardly, "Sorry... It won't happen again, I promise."

Satoru focuses back on his screen, "What got you so emotional, anyway?"

The younger boy returns to the game and sighed, "Please hear this, sensei..." he moves his cursor to the twinkle shaped button and switched to what it seems like a rectangular character banner.

"Have you heard of Genshin Impact by any chance, sensei?" Yuuji looks back to him questioningly.

Satoru has heard of the name in the past but can't seem to recall it anywhere. He hardly pays attention to video games. "Isn't this famous for its, um..."

Yuuji curves his lips upward, "Its gacha system?" his teacher nods, "Yeah... people often gamble their money here to get their wanted characters."

He continues, "But here's the catch," he looks at Satoru again. "this game has a 50/50 system which you might win or lose the odds of getting the 5-star limited banner character."

Yuuji gestured to the character art on screen, "You see her? Her name is Mavuika and this is the second time her banner reruns."

Satoru lets out a long 'eh' sound in understanding. Gambling on a 50/50 odds, huh?

The older man sees that his student stopped talking, his earlier excited face turned into a blank expression.

"Yuuji? What—" before Satoru finishes, Yuuji bursts out crying.

???

"Sensei…" the younger boy sniffs, his arms reaching out to his teacher as if he's about to fall from the chair, thankfully Satoru managed to get out of his confusion to catch the boy in time.

"Um.. Yuuji?" Satoru has no idea why the kid started crying all of the sudden, he was fine a minute ago!

Yuuji buries himself more into the older man's grasp, which was unusual for him to do.

He’s hugging me. Initiating the hug. Voluntarily. Is this a dream?

He tries to grope the younger boy's ass with his right hand.

Nope, this is definitely not a dream. That's a real squishy, meaty sensation.

Yuuji doesn't seem to notice his groping and keeps sobbing, "Sensei… What should I do?"

Allow me to touch your body. Satoru coughs as his face redden, "What do you mean, Yuuji?"

The younger boy sniffed again, "I can't make up my mind to choose between two girls…"

Two... girls?

Satoru imagines a scenario which Yuuji gets asked out by two people who aren't him, the Gojo Satoru. Meaning people are stealing his student.

But this was a sudden topic, he should ask for some context before jumping to conclusions.

"Two girls? Did someone ask you out?"

Yuuji looks up to his teacher, his surprised face was soaked with tears and snot. Along with Satoru's jacket.

"Oh, no..." The student sobbed again, wiping his nose with a palm. "In-game, I mean, two fictional girls."

Ah... so that's how it is.

Satoru lets out a sigh of relief, "Yuuji... It's just a game, you don't need to be panicking over this" he was worried for nothing.

Yuuji gasped at him in disbelief, as if he had hurt his precious kitten pet. "You don't get it, sensei! I'm not okay about this situation!" he cried out, burying his face against Satoru's chest again.

Gojo Satoru rarely plays video games, especially never on a gacha game. He knows how those ones are dangerous because of the rising rate in curses from playing it, but he had no idea that Yuuji is so infatuated with it. Is this a recent obsession of his?

"I don't get it, can you explain again?" Satoru sweat drops.

The younger boy nods, "So there's this one girl who I have in my collection, right?" he points to the red-haired character on the screen, "that's one of them, Mavuika, and I'm tempted to get another copy of her for bigger damage…"

He continues softly, "but there is also another character in the next patch, her name is Citlali," Yuuji cried again "AND I NEED HER FOR MAVUIKA'S SUPPORT!" the smaller man sobs uncontrollably in Satoru's grasp.

Satoru tilts his head in confusion, "So? You could just get both of them"

Yuuji looks up, "No, I don't have the money for it..."

"Oh," His teacher hummed in thought. I can lend him my credit card if that's the case, then he will smother me with love…

Now that's a great idea!  Gojo Satoru internally pats himself in the back.

"I can pay for you, Yuuji" He smiles brightly, "You know I'll do anything for you."

Yuuji shakes his head, "No, I don't want you to waste money. I should be the one to take care of my own thing..."

Satoru pouts at his response, "but I really can help you, y'know? I'm rich," and bought you everything else you owned in this room, what's the difference with this time anyway?

The younger man shakes his head once more, "No, I told you I don't want anyone to spend their money on me again," he mutters "especially after what Gojo-sensei has done for me…"

Yuuji looks up at Satoru with determined gaze "Please, let me be responsible this time. I feel guilty for making everyone doing things for me!"

Satoru stares at his student blankly, then sighs. This kid... I can't win against him when he's like this.

"Alright, if you say so..." Satoru holds the other boy firmly, "but only this time, okay? Sensei can't handle himself from spoiling you~" he nuzzles into Yuuji's soft hair.

Yuuji lets out a hearty laugh and nods. What a lovely sound, Satoru thinks.

Satoru continues, "So what are you gonna do? You can get one of them next time on their... rerun?" he glances on his student again to see if he said it right, Yuuji nods with a smile.

He grins back and pats Yuuji on the head with his free hand, "If you're that tempted to pull for this 'Mavuika' character, go ahead" he strokes his hair gently "but will you forgive yourself for not getting 'Citlali'? You said she's a support for Mavuika..."

The younger boy goes silent, staring at his sensei to ponder about his words.

"No... no, I won't forgive myself," Yuuji quietly muttered, gripping his teacher's jacket "I have always wanted her ever since I got Mavuika. I need her cryo app and res shred skill..."

Satoru nods, "Then you shouldn't get another one, pull for Citlali first before going for a copy," he pats his student's back reassuringly "even if you lose the 50/50 odds, there's always a next time..." and I would gladly pay for you to get them.

Yuuji seems to stop crying for awhile and looks up at Gojo with a worried expression, "But I can't handle the thought of losing..." he stares at his teacher's chest again, "At least I'm guaranteed on another character, but that's not enough for me. Who knows when her rerun will be back again?" his rambling continues, "It's gonna be Shenhe situation all over again..."

Satoru doesn't know what Yuuji is on about, but he tilts his student's chin to look at him.

"Yuuji," he calls quietly, caresses his face "I get why you're worried but it's not the end of the world if her rerun isn't back soon enough, you still have alternatives for her replacement, right?"

Yuuji's eyes widen at the action, then leans into the touch unconsciously, "...Yeah? There aren't much of a difference between the damage gap, but..." he pauses for a second "Still possible, I guess?"

The older man smiles, "Then you can use them if you lose the odds," he leans closer to Yuuji's neck, just enough to brush his lips against it "If you don't get the character, I'll spend money for you to be happy..."

Yuuji flushes slightly at the intimate contact. He's not sure why his teacher suddenly kiss his nape, but this is Gojo Satoru he is thinking about, the man is always touch-starved so he isn't that surprised.

"Okay, sensei... I'll do what you suggest," Yuuji says before suddenly pushes him back, making the older man baffled.

Satoru blinks in question, "Yuuji—?"

"But," The younger boy continues with a narrowed gaze "I won't let you spend money on me again, alright? I'm not your sugar baby who needs to be pampered all the time."

He puffed his cheeks out with a blush. "I owed you too many debts, it's unfair..."

Satoru blinked, trying to process his words.

"Oh,"

Satoru breaks out a wide grin in the next scene.

"OH YUUUJIIIII!~" He wrapped him in a bone-crushing hug.

Yuuji chokes out a wheeze "Sensei, I can't breathe—!"

Satoru doesn't hear him and nuzzles the boy, "YOU'RE SO ADORABLE THAT I COULD JUST SQUEEZE YOU TO DEATH! I LOVE YOU, I LOVE YOU—"

Yuuji repeatedly taps on his teacher's back, "You might as well right now!"

The bedroom door suddenly slams open, entering an angry Kugisaki Nobara. "IF YOU TWO DON'T SHUT UP, I WILL—" Her words die out at the sight.

The two people turns to Nobara in shock, letting Yuuji take a breath.

They stare at each-other for twenty seconds before a cursed-imbued nail suddenly launches at Satoru, but it bounced harmlessly off his Infinity.

"Gojo-sensei..." Nobara cracks a menacing smile as she holds her hammer "What are you doing to Itadori?"

Satoru grins widely "Nobara, fancy seeing you here!"

Yuuji was confused by what she meant before finally realizing a hand on his bottom.

He grabs the bigger hand on his ass and felt the other man squeezing them.

Two squeezes.

This man is groping his student's ass.

"With your hand there?!" Nobara grips her hammer tighter.

"Maybe I slipped!" he grinned. "What? You jealous or something?"

To this day, Gojo Satoru would remember Nobara Kugisaki as the first person to almost break his Infinity with pure rage alone.
