It was time.
That the universe brought
The lawyer and the scientist
Together.
There,
In the game they call
Double Down
The two enjoined once more.
First,
They were to face physical obstacles.
The bigger one helped the little one
To cross the platforms
“I was proposing…an alliance,”
Said the giant, stoic lawyer.
“Sure can do Iceberg-aroo!!”
Joyfully replied the short scientist.
Soon enough,
The two strategized together.
To ensure each other’s survival.
Though, in an ideal world,
The captain mustn’t hold any favorites
Dear to his heart.
Yet, as with any other being,
One always has bias toward something
Whether inanimate or animate.
In this case, it’s the latter;
That sweet, kind soul he calls “Starfruit”.
How endearing her voice is
How merry she is
How her heart and soul lack hate
And how her knowledge is boundless
All of this
Had brought a blush
On those cold, icy cheeks.
Now,
As guaranteed,
Both will face their respective tribulations
Some internal
And others external
Besides typical competition challenges,
They may face their own doubts
Jeering comments from peers
And disputes with each other.
All their days,
Through joy and grief
As long as they persist
And if circumstances don’t doom them,
Maybe then,
They could truly love one another
Forevermore.
