Even if the winter comes by The flowers still blossom

Summary:

Momokuri silence was frustating. Shiranui just wanted to understand what was going on inside his head.

Notes:

Again, it's a crime that this ship still has no fics written.
I cannot be the only one who read it and thought they were gay as fuck.

Work Text:

Momokuri was weird in his silence. This always frustrated Shiranui, even if sometimes it was entertaining. It was simply very difficult to understand what was going on in the other's head.

After their fight, Momokuri gestured for that one other boy to leave. Shiranui thought he should want to say something, but Momokuri remained in his frustrating silence.

"Our last fight uh?" He started, trying to encourage the other boy to speak. "I'll miss this."

Despite the other's lack of response, Shiranui continued. "This city was too boring after you were sent to juvie. I thought you might not get out in time to finish high school, so I had already ... given up trying to conquer Aoba."

Despite the lack of response, Momokuri was very focused on him. He had begun to drag himself closer to Shiranui, still without getting up. Shiranui waited until the other boy stood in front of him, the ends of their feet touching.

"I'm sorry, Momokuri." He continued. "I wanted our last fight to be on a better stage. I will miss you when school is over."

Shiranui felt his face warm up when he realized what he had said. He almost thought of turning back in his words, but after all, they were true, and maybe Momokuri deserved to know. Maybe they wouldn't have another opportunity.

It was when he noticed a movement from the other. Momokuri was taking one of those stupid Haiku papers from inside his jacket.

"Aw, come on man, another haiku?"

But Momokuri didn't pay attention to him, continuing to write. When he finished, he raised the paper so that Shiranui could read.

“Today's a new sun
Even if the winter comes by
The flowers still blossom”

He felt the frustration filling his chest again. Momokuri never said what he wanted to say at once, and that only got worse after juvie. Shiranui wanted to be able to open the other boy's head and take by force all the words he refused to say.

"I don't know what that means!! Can't you be clear once in your life?"

Momokuri slightly tilted his head to the side. His face showed that he was as frustrated as Shiranui. Looks like they couldn't talk if it wasn't with the fists.

Momokuri then moved to hold his face. Shiranui was startled by the sudden movement, but the hands that now framed his face were delicate. Momokuri would not attack him.

The other boy moved closer, approaching their faces. Momokuri's movement was slow, and it gave Shiranui more than enough time to act if he wanted to. But he didn’t. He froze, waiting to see what would happen, until their lips touched.

Shiranui couldn’t avoid the sigh that escaped from him. The kiss was strange, tasted like blood and made his injuries hurt, but he just felt like there was nothing better than that.

As he wrapped his arms around Momokuri's neck, Shiranui wondered how he didn’t realize how much he had fallen for the other. After all the fights, after the agonizing waiting for Momokuri's release from juvie, that kiss seemed right, in a difficult way to explain.

Outside that gym, students from both schools were fighting with more and more fury. Shiranui could hear them screaming, the familiar sounds of fists punching the flesh and things breaking.

But he couldn't focus on anything but the touch and kiss of Momokuri. The boy let down one hand that was on his face to hold his back, and slightly toppled him to lie down with him over. Shiranui deepened the kiss, pulling Momokuri to himself more strongly.

When their breath finally ran out, Momokuri laid down next to Shiranui, hugging him. He could feel the other's heart beating hard against his own chest, and could not avoid smiling.

At that moment, he really understood Momokuri.
