Anniversary gift

Summary:

It's been five years since the battle of Baldur's Gate. Shadowheart and her wife Velana (Tav), a drow turned Mindflayer live in a remote cottage in a deep forest. As their wedding anniversary nears, Shadowheart comes up with the perfect gift for her starving spouse. A bit of a naughty gift, perhaps, but nothing a resurrection scroll won't fix.

Sometimes we give our loved ones our heart, sometimes our brain.

Notes:

This is based off my playthrough of BG3. I romanced Shadowheart and turned into a Mindflayer. This is what I imagine would have happened down the road after a Mindflayer is in a relationship with the same person for years.

Work Text:

It was deep into the night as it was deep between the ancient oaks.

Moonlight bled through the trees, pale and soft, settling over Shadowheart as she knelt in front of a small statue of the Moonmaiden, inside her own home. The white dress she wore was barely a dress at all—thin as mist, cut short so it hovered just below her hips, rising with the slightest breeze. It clung to her like a second skin, catching on the curves of her thighs, the shape of her rear, the swell of her breasts, outlining everything and barely concealing her modesty.

She prayed for protection. Not her own, of course. She could defend herself well enough, and this tiny cottage in the middle of the woods was wreathed in all manners of protections, from the mundane to the mystical.

Her prayers were for another, her wife, Velana.

The former Drow turned mindflayer had gone out looking for animals she could prey upon to quell her hunger for brains. Low intellect creatures provided some respite but never relief, and there were nary any evil doers this away from civilization. It took a good couple of days of travel to get to the closest settlement.

This was the price of safety for a creature most would kill on sight, even after five years since the battle of Baldur’s Gate.

They got married and moved here, where they could have their happy life together, and Shadowheart didn’t regret it one bit. They were blissful years, filled with love. Love that she missed for most of her life, and what little she had was taken from her by Shar.

Away from everything and everyone, Velana became her whole world. The psychic bond they developed after his transformation helped. It was so slow, neither one of them realized. Shadowheart’s love turned into utter and complete devotion. There wasn’t a single thing she wouldn’t do for Velana’s approval.

And that was why she came up with that idea.

She waited as she prayed to the Moonmaiden, and soon she felt the touch of Velana’s mind.

‘I’m back, love.’

Shadowheart rejoiced as she felt Velana enter her mind. She felt hollow without it.

The door opened on their own as Velana floated into the room. She looked the same as always. Her long tentacles moved with purpose, her eyes were glowing a soft violet as she approached Shadowheart.

Shadowheart stood up and gave Velana a warm hug kissing her face tentacles.

'I missed you,' she said.

Their whole exchange was telepathic. She didn't recall the last time they used actual words. It was such an inferior way to communicate anyway. It was so much better having Velana's thoughts in her head all the time. There was no need to question what she actually felt or wanted.

No need to think.

'I feel you are still hungry. Did you have any luck hunting?'

Velana looked at her with her beautiful, violet eyes.

'Not a lot. The bigger animals have learned to stay away from this area.'

Shadowheart felt a pang of displeasure. Silly little creatures should have been happy to become Velana's sustenance.

'Is there anything I can do? We can't have you starve,' Shadowheart thought.

Velana's mind touched hers, and she was flooded with affection and love.

'My sweet Shadowheart. I am not starving, not yet. You know I can hold on much longer than a regular Mindflayer.'

'What if I found someone to feed upon?'

'In this neck of woods? I don't see it happening.'

'But what if I did?'

Velana stopped.

'Shadowheart, what are you suggesting?'

Velana could pry the thought from her head, without needing to ask, and Shadowheart would not be bothered in the least. It spoke of their love that Velana let her have secrets.

Shadowheart stepped back and opened a drawer, pulling out a scroll.

'Happy anniversary,' she said, handing it over.

Velana examined it carefully.

'A scroll of resurrection? I don't understand.'

'Yes, you do. With this, you can feed on a person and restore them to life.'

Velana was taken aback.

'While that might be the case, I would still not take the life of someone who didn't have it coming.'

'What about... a volunteer?'

'Do you know of someone who would let me eat their brains?'

'Yes, as a matter of fact I do. I want to give you my brain, love.'

Velana recoiled as if visibly struck.

'What? No. I would never do such a thing.'

'I love you. I know how much you need it, and I would be more than willing to die and come back to life just to help you.'

'It would make me a monster to harm the one I love.'

'Did it make me a monster to end the suffering of my parents and let them go to the embrace of the Moon maiden?'

'That was different.'

'It wasn't, and besides you cannot hide your mind from me more than I can hide mine from you. I can feel that you want this. The idea is not as repugnant as you proclaim. You want to know the taste of my thoughts.'

Velana's tentacles twitched while her eyes shone with eldritch light.

'Shadowheart, I...'

'I want this, love. To give you the ultimate gift. I want you to feel me even more than you already do. I want you to take it all.'

Shadowheart fell to her knees.

'Please, Velana. Do it.'

Velana could sense Shadowheart's determination. There wasn't a single bit of doubt in her. Granted, this wouldn't be the first time she died, or the second, so perhaps that helped.

The former priestess of Shar knew exactly what she wanted and offered it without fear.

It would be foolish to say no.

Velana reached down and cupped Shadowheart's chin in her palm. As a Mindflayer, her feelings were far more muted than as a Drow, but in that moment her love for Shadowheart had never been more intense.

'Thank you, my love,' she said. 'I will make sure this is completely painless for you. In fact, I can do more than that. Open your mind.'

'It's already wide open for you,' Shadowheart replied as she caught a glimpse of Velana's intentions.

Velana flooded her mind with his presence, and Shadowheart gasped as she filled her. Normally, Velana held back a bit, but not this time.

Velana saw herself through Shadowheart's eyes, staring at her own eldritch eyes.

'You are beautiful,' Shadowheart whispered.

Velana agreed. She was beautiful. More so than when she was a drow. A superior being in all aspects that mattered.

'Yes you are, love. You are the best,' Shadowheart purred, enthralled in mind and soul. 'I'm honored to become your sustenance.'

She was right. It was an honor for the lesser species to become her food. That was something she never wanted to admit, but with Shadowheart proving it, Velana no longer had any doubt.

But that didn't mean she wasn't grateful anyway. Shadowheart was still no mere thrall or food. She was her companion, and as such she would be celebrated.

Controlled entirely by Velana's mind, Shadowheart's arms moved, reaching for the front of her white dress and pulling the straps off her shoulders, revealing the pale elvish beauty beneath.

'I belong to you. Your wife, your companion, your thrall, your pet, your food.'

Velana flicked her long fingered hand and Shadowheart lifted off the ground slowly, turning horizontal as her legs spread open. Velana's facial tentacles reached forward and into Shadowheart's womanhood.

'Ohh... my love,' Shadowheart sighed.

Her hands moved to her breasts and began massaging them while Velana's tongue tasted the nectar flowing from her. Shadowheart closed her eyes and basked in the ecstasy brought by Velana's ministrations.

She didn't know if the feeling of being controlled and dominated by Velana's will was the same as when Velana controlled a lesser being's mind. What she did know was that she enjoyed it. She craved it.

With her will stripped from her, she was completely free. Free to let go and let her love have her.

Her breathing quickened and her moans became more and more urgent. Velana was getting her ready, preparing her to receive her lover's gift.

Velana's tentacle tongue explored every crevice of her pussy and Shadowheart was on the verge of a powerful orgasm. Her body trembled as she was shaken by a powerful climax.

Velana pulled away from Shadowheart and pulled her upright with her mind, still floating in mid air with her arms limp at her side. Velana pulled her into her arms and wrapped her tentacles around her face, sliding his tentacular tongue into her mouth, eyes staring at each other. The former drow tweaked Shadowheart's receptors in such a way that no matter where she touched, she would experience pleasure beyond comprehension.

Velana's long finger grabbed her tight elvish ass, groping her soft flesh and prying it open to sneak into both her holes.

'Ohhh....'

Their minds were joined, and thus Shadowheart's pleasure was Velana's pleasure. It was the only way the Mindflayer could still experience the pleasures of her previous nature.

'Yes, I'm a vessel for your pleasure. This is why I exist. Use me. I'm your little meat puppet.'

Their figures were intertwined, exchanging love and pleasure.

But soon things changed. Velana released Shadowheart once more and slid around her. Her legs rose and spread like she was sitting on something, but it was merely Velana's psychic power preparing her.

Mindflayers were genderless and thus had no genitalia, but that didn't mean there weren't alternatives. She coalesced her psionic energy into a double headed phallus that he drove into Shadowheart's holes. The little elf quivered in pleasure, which flowed directly into Velana's mind.

'Enjoy me. Go as deep as you want. Every inch of me is only for you.'

Velana drove into Shadowheart slowly but relentlessly, enjoying the feelings of organs she didn't have anymore. Velana's hands cupped Shadowheart’s breasts, fondling them, pinching them. They shared in mutual delight.

But they both knew that the moment was approaching. Velana's tentacles were already wrapping around the back of Shadowheart's head.

Such joy and trepidation echoed through Velana. She couldn't hold herself anymore. She hardened her tongue and pierced the back of Shadowheart's skull.

"Guh!" the elf groaned as her brain matter was penetrated. Yet she didn't die.

Velana used her psionic powers to keep Shadowheart's mind working.

'Come to me. Become me.'

'Yes! Yes! Do it!' Shadowheart implored. 'Suck up my brain and leave me a hollow husk.'

So she did. Slowly and deliberately she sucked up Shadowheart's gray matter like a slushy through a straw. The elf's eyes crossed and blood ran down her nose, but her mouth stretched into a deranged smile

'Guuh! I'm dying. My brain is turning to mush and I'm being eaten. Eh eh eh! I'm food. Food! Suuh!'

Her body shook as it was wracked by a climax that only a Mindflayer could give. The more of her brain Velana drained, the more Shadowheart's higher thinking function drained.

'Eheheh! Food! Ghh! Pe--Pet... love... Ghh!'

Shadowheart was becoming more and more simple. Her face muscles went lax and her jaw hung open.

'Eheheehh...'

More and more of her was consumed.

'Eh?'

And less and less remained.

'Hah?'

'Hhhh...'

Until nothing remained. One final contraction of her holes, one final pulse of otherworldly pleasure, and she was gone. Her mind and her life snuffed out.

Velana pulled back and released the psychic hold on her. Gravity claimed her naked body and fell, hitting the ground hard like a puppet that had its strings cut. Her face still showed the bliss of her ultimate gift.

Velana basked in her, feeling all of her thoughts and emotions as if they were her own.

She had eaten many brains until now, but none was as delicious as a brain given freely out of love.

For quite a while she hovered there, above Shadowheart's corpse savoring the feeling of fullness she had been lacking.

Then, when she was done, she lifted Shadowheart's dead body off the floor and gently floated her to the bed. She then took the scroll of resurrection and cast the spell. Under her otherworldly eyes, Shadowheart's wounds disappeared and color returned to her face.

However, she didn't wake up. Velana could feel her mind still shaking from the blissful experience, so intense that even death and resurrection couldn't stop. She sat next to her for several hours, waiting for Shadowheart to wake all the while feeling her mind bask in her own afterglow.

She did so, shortly before dawn. She opened her eyes and sat up. The elf put her hands on the side of Velana's head and kissed her.

'That was the most amazing thing I ever felt,' said the elf.

'Me too, love. That was the greatest.'

'We are going to do that again, yes?'

'Oh, absolutely, my dear. We will have to stock up on resurrection scrolls.'

'Leave that to me, darling. In the meantime, there are other things we can do, yes?'

Velana would have smiled if he could.

Indeed, there was still more fun to be had between them.

So much more.
